We have stayed here 3 times over the past few years and every time we have had a great experience. We have always stayed at Wilderness on the Lake, because we enjoy the quieter atmosphere, even though it is further from most things. They do offer free shuttles and pontoon rides to get to the main areas, which our kids always enjoy anyways- so to me the distance is a non issue. We have a 6 and 12 year old and there was plenty for both of them to do. Large/steep slides both inside (Hurricane/Black Hole) and outside (Red/Blue almost straight drop) for the 12 year old, and smaller ones for the 6 year old. Plenty of medium sized slides they can tube down and enjoy together as well. Indoor and outdoor lazy river, which almost anyone can enjoy. An indoor wave pool, which all ages can enjoy. Countless hot tubs. A challenging ropes course, both of them enjoyed. Indoor and outdoor mini golf courses. Indoor and outdoor go karts. Two arcades. Laser Tag. Escape Room with three different scenarios depending on age; we did the Circus Room which is geared towards younger kids (8 and under) but our 12 year old still enjoyed it. Zip lining. 18 hole golf course. When I read other reviews saying there isn't anything for older kids and adults to do, I'm not sure if they didn't realize how large the place is so they didn't bother to explore, or if they just don't enjoy these types of things, or what else they would want to find it enjoyable. Most of the food in the water parks isn't fantastic, but the same as you would expect from about any water/amusement park, however if you order an entire pizza it will be fresh and tastes a lot better. Thirsty Buffalo offers much better food if you want a place to sit down and be served, and it's right in one of the main water parks. Evidently Fields is an onsite steakhouse, but we have never eaten there. Sprecher's is a German micro brew type restaurant, right near by which is also a good place to sit down and get a good meal.
