Awesome place for family fun. You never have to leave. Great entertainment for everybody and lots of variety of restaurants and water parks. Dont stay on the 2nd floor!! Its lound due to heavy, heavy foot traffic. And the halls are too narrow to accommodate the flow of people.

Safety....
The Wilderness is hands down the best resort in the dells... But today these people in the hallway yelled "damn BBW" to my friend as we were walking in the hallway, and nobody working was around to talk to.

We want to come back but we don't know how safe it is.

This place is awesome!!! We stayed at the Glacier Canyon Lodge. There is a fun arcade, clean rooms, and the thing I was most excited about, was the waterparks!!! Even if you stay at Glacier Canyon or another suites hotel, you don t just have to go to the waterpark near your hotel, you can go to all the waterparks in the Wilderness Resort! We will definitely be coming back as soon as we can.

Great family vacation spot! The rooms are clean with good amenities. Plenty of different style rooms to choose from. One year we rented a Wilderness cabin with multiple rooms and a fully equipped kitchen. Staff is helpful and courteous. The water parks are amazing! Indoor and outdoor water parks. We like the video game parlor with miniature golf, a huge maze-like jungle gym. Above the video game parlor is bungee cord attached competition course. There is so much here to do you can not get bored. We love The Wilderness Resort since we return every summer! We highly recommend The Wilderness!

I have literally just got home from staying in the Wilderness Hotel. I'm always cautious because of reviews and just not knowing what my happen. Booked a weekend not knowing what to expect. Buuut this place is very nice very clean and very fun. Money well spent hands down. Our room was very nice good storage every thing stocked everything was in place and clean. The best channels on TV. Water parks will blow you away. There is 2 Arcades and more than enough fun things to do. And style of entire enstablishment was very clean and on point. Can only imagine what it's like during the summer months. Loved everything about my stay. Only downside was having to leave.

Money-ShAkeDoWn! Find a better resort! Would never stay here again. Everything is way overpriced. Would highly advice you to refinance your home and take out another credit card before going here. Staff is also very rude. Avoid the gift shop and laser-tag staff -- extremely crabby and downright mean! Stay somewhere else and have a more enjoyable stay with your hard earned money.

Great place to go with the family. There are things to do for all ages. There is everything from arcades, gocarts, and (of course) water parks. There restaurants are pretty good, expensive (but things tend to be in the dells), but very good. If you are looking to save a little try booking during a less busy time of year and during the week. There also are a lot more water parks to choose from if you go during summer. Finally, they are not far from the rest of the dells, so you can get to other attractions fairly easily.

We had a great stay recently and my kids loved the waterparks! They do have a serious problem with parking spots. Our room was in the far back of the building and I ended up having to park over by the lobby and walk all of the way back to my room. If you go to the different water parks be prepared to walk a lot.

A Paradise for children, so many things to do and SO much walking (excerice is great) . For the 4 days we spent there, the complete total for all money spent, food/lodging/gas/entertainment it cost $2000. We packed 2 coolers of food with us too, which reduced our cost for 4 people.
Memorable experience and highly recommended by all the kids!

Stayed for 2 nights beginning of June with my 12 year old granddaughter and her good friend. It was great! We truly enjoyed our stay and felt it was a very good family friendly, clean, accommodating Resort!

Best hotel in the dells. So much to do on just the property alone. I love how you can get shuttles around the whole property and a boat ride across the lake to get to even more of their property. Very family friendly also lots of bars for the adults. I love the restaurant Sarentos on the property 12/10

Our stay was at the Wilderness on the Lake condos in late December.
Nice cozy condo. Very spacious. We liked the decor and all the seating, the fireplaces and jacuzzi. It was quiet, and didn t hear our neighbors. The fridge slid across the kitchen every time we opened it. Pretty frustrating. Stove dishwasher, and microwave. The beds were the worst beds we have ever slept on. Hard as a rock, everyone woke up several times both nights. For the amount of money spent per night for a condo I would have expected a MUCH better bed. Since we came for the waterpark, the only time we were in our room for the most part was to sleep. Expected to get a good night sleep on vacation, it made getting up early to enjoy a full day hard from lack of sleep. There were 4 TVs in our room and they were barely used. Must have scrapped the bottom of the barrel for the bed budget.
Wilderness on the Lake only has a kiddy park and a large indoor outdoor hot tub. Does have a eatery to get food and drinks of all kinds.
The other locations had good attractions, we visited:
Ropes course, great experience.
Go karts, lots of fun.
Arcades, lots to do big variety.
Mini golf, super cool, but someone broke one of the black light bulbs on one of the holes and it took a VERY long time for the two young gentlemen to clean it up. They turned on all the regular lights and we were told to play through and skip the hole. We did not get to have the full experience of the black light golfing. We were not offered a refund or another round. Understandably it was not Wilderness fault, but it could have been handled faster and more courteously. Very disappointed.
We didn t make it to the West waterpark so I don t know what they offer.
I wouldn t recommend visiting in the winter, it was a bit disappointing to be limited to just a few water slides. For smaller kids it was great, older teens not so much.
Overall GREAT place, HORRIBLE beds!

Kind of disappointing. The rooms are outdated, and the cleanliness is sub par....lots of hairs and strange stains on the floor. We were booked into the wrong room as far as our request to be away from the pool and king size bed preference. The price is extremely high for a Super 8 experience. We were here for a wedding, so no time to look over the water park...but rooms were only so so.

Just plain room but lots of waterpark stuff. Room could have been better! When we went to sit out on balcony there was an odor smell like urine even my kids said it smelled like pee on the balcony by the air conditioner. Not sure where it was coming from but it smelled as though it was coming from air conditioner unit. I'm glad I got It on special deal otherwise would have been a bigger disappointment. Just sort of expected more from a resort like this.

What a horrible experience. $450/night and they only throw a few towels on the counter. They don't make the bed or anything.

Not all views are equal. Ours had the view and noise of the noisy and smoky hot water heating building. Sure the hot water is required, but not 50' from the balcony with what could have been a beautiful view.

Drinks with souvenir glass advertised all over for $24 except they don't honor that price, they are a whopping $30 at the bar and you don't find out until after you ordered and they refuse to even consider the advertising throughout the hotel. Of course the next day the advertising was removed.

There is no such thing as air conditioning and heating. In the day it is over 80 outside and about 90 inside and the windows don't open. But, the heating did work, but it was never needed.

UPDATE Am I the only one that finds it strange that the resort makes a self-serving comment on here in response to my feedback to tell me to email them? My feedback contains my first name plus my initial for my last name, but somehow the resort was unable to put a few minutes into looking me up on their system. There must have been tens of thousands of Kevin R's staying at the resort that weekend paying $450/night near the water heating building... or perhaps this is a continuing symptom of the very poor management and failed attempt to get readers of the feedback to believe the resort is trying to make-up for their guest treatment.

Second time staying at this hotel and is was great. They have six water parks and lots of other things to do on their property. Everything is spread out but they have a free shuttle that takes you anywhere on their property.

OMG- I am dead! This Resort was amazing! The biggest problem I have is that I don't think I will have enough time to hit up all the water parks this time.

Tip4Parents: make sure you have your kids partner up before you enter a new area of the park. The high traffic can be chaotic.

Drink plenty of H2O, and don't forget to reapply the sunscreen periodically

Largest complex and best indoor waterparks in the Dells. Really fun for the family. Plenty of restaurants, snack shops and gift / convenience stores to ensure all your needs are taken care of onsite. Look into buying a week or weekend at Wyndham Glacier Canyon on E-bay - plenty of owners looking to make a little side cash which equates to you getting a great deal.

Amazing! Family friendly. Great customer service. The villa is a great for a big family. They have so much activities for kids and teenagers. Cafeterias and restaurants are available on the resort. Arcade room and games! Water park, indoor and outdoor are clean and maintained. Staff in every corner if needed! Highly recommend, worth the listed prices

Great family time, especially in the winter. Everything is connected with sky ways, food deliveries, shuttles to get about, and lots to do for kids than just the 3 water parks. Fun time!
