I just recently purchased my first Honda and what ...

I just recently purchased my first Honda and what should've been a great moment turned into a terrible experience. The sales team used aggressive tactics in poor taste. I don't understand why the sales team had so many inquiries into the finance of a vehicle when they're the sales department, because of their aggressive training tactics. I understand those are the tactics they practice, but they were not necessary. My other complaint for the sales team was not offering me and giving a fair value for my trade in. They came back with a ridiculous low number. I had to negotiate 500 more which they gave me, but I still took way less then the worth of the car. The fact I had to negotiate the worth of my car was upsetting. The sales team kept pushing me to initial papers showing me finance numbers and I refused, telling them I would deal with that with my finance guy. I didn't understand why until I was handed to the finance team. The finance guy comes, over shows me the credit report, and asks for an initial as proof he showed me. I then take the time to ask what lenders they work with. Is Landmark one, a previous bank I had worked with and wanted to use again? He said yes, we have multiple, one of which he believed was Landmark. I asked him then, how will it work? Will you show me options on who will offer the best interest rate for my credit? He said yes. I should've made him initial something... He pulls me over to his desk and starts telling me, we got you approved with Honda financing. Here's your monthly payment for so many months, your interest rate...and my mouth drops. His reason for only using Honda Finance was because nobody from the SALES team told him that I wanted to use Landmark or was considering any other lender. Then he blamed his director saying the director of finance told him to only run it with Honda Finance and not to offer me any options because they assumed they would have the best rate. After arguing with the finance director, they agreed to run it with Landmark and they came back as being higher. I asked them to show me, they never showed me any documents showing me that was factual. After that horrible experience, the finance guy starts telling me what my loan amount is and again my mouth drops. What? Why was my loan request so high? Almost 5k more than the car sale price we agreed on. Turns out, they ran the loan at a higher request. They had included a warranty package worth 3.5k. Wow, what an unethical practice. I made them take that off and $219 service fee for not giving me the option to choose my lender. I was most appalled by the finance director. He argued that they did nothing wrong and we hadn't finalized anything because I hadn't signed. He said I can get up and leave anytime I wanted as we haven't finalized anything because I hadn't signed. I'm sure that would have been easier for him to get rid of me and not to deal with the issue he had infront of him. Disrespectful attitude. Finally after going over everything with a fine tooth comb, I purchased the car, but the whole experience was terrible. The only thing I can say is, if you want a Honda don't shop here. Pick a different dealership.

Just bought a 2018 Camry from Chandler Tedlie. He was great, courteous, knowledgeable and attentive. He wasn t trying to help other customers in addition to us. Have little use for his sales manager. His techniques were outdated even for the car business. Has ANYONE not heard of good guy, bad guy. I always liked Wilde Honda because they got right to the price. Not this time.

I had to get my timing chain changed and honestly this experience was pretty upsetting. I bought my vehicle from Wilde Toyota (West Allis) one year ago, and thought maybe I was under some type of warranty. The gentleman I talked to said I had a warranty, and that I should call Wilde Honda (Waukesha) and let them know I had a "fidelity warranty" and they'll know what to do. So, I did that. The woman I called said okay yep we will get you in the next day, I'll make the appointment. I go to drop my car off the evening before and the services department has no record of an appointment. I had to reiterate everything I told the woman on the phone at Wilde Honda, and what I told the man at Wilde Toyota. The services guy then quoted me for over $1,700 and that I didn't have any warranties on my vehicle..... so I went into this thinking I'd be spending a max $600 (which the woman quoted me at) to almost triple that. Doing what any 25 year old would do is call her dad, who lives hours away. He ended up calling services at Honda and got them to shave off a couple hundred dollars. So, it takes a middle aged man, knowledgeable about vehicles to get a fair price? I already feel vulnerable in a city where I dont know where to take my vehicle for a fair price and good service, but then to have the dealership who I bought my vehicle from try and take advantage of me. I'm very disappointed and will never take my business back here.

Thought I was getting great deal then found out I might be in serious trouble buying a vehicle from them. Got a 2016 Kia van was convinced to get a warranty that I didnt really want that upped my monthly payment by $46 dollar and then less then a week later my new to me van is red lining and about to overheat. I will be going in immediately tomorrow morning with the vehicle and they better fix it immediately!

Tyler Zane did an excellent job of working with us in selling us a vehicle! He was extremely knowledgeable. Mark the manager really helped close the deal and we were glad to work with him again. Gary Peckham in finance helped us understand the warranty and was very kind to us. We will be back again and highly recommend Wilde Honda in Waukesha.

Traded a vehicle after Wilde contacted me from my KBB inquirery. Dealer was 2hr drive for me and we had some title hiccups along the way but those were mostly on me. Mark McDanial and Adam Messenger were professional, honest, and straightforward on everything which really made this transaction over a four week span an 3 visits possible. Their confidence and comfort they presented to me is what customer service is all about. I have a Honda dealer 1/2 mile from my house but I can honestly say these guys (Wilde Honda) will see me again. Thanks Adam, Mark!

This dealership was top notch! JP went above and beyond to make sure I purchased the car I was most comfortable with. He gave me suggestions and his advice, but was in no way pushy what-so-ever. After I decided on a Honda Insight the process was absolutely painless. So quick and professional. I felt like family by the end of the whole process! I would recommend JP to anyone who is looking for a new or used vehicle.

Both Jeff my salesperson and Tyler the finance manager were very helpful and informative in the buying process. Every other lot I had been to had slim to no decent looking cars, while Wilde had plenty available. I would 10/10 recommended purchasing through them

Spent the afternoon with Tariq. He was most helpful and gave us a number of options. Most people view purchasing a vehicle from a dealership the same as going to the dentist. Not these folks, there was no high pressure, everyone went out of their way to see our needs were met. They were knowledgeable and polite. I would recommend Wilde to anyone looking for a car.

Paige Radtke was a nice saleswoman to work with. I was matched with her after showing interest in the Internet search. She was able to answer all my questions and understood my situation. Speaking of which, the Internet Sales woman was an excellent communicator as well. She even came out to check on our progress. I also enjoyed Will in finance, first finance person I ever liked in my 5 car history.
I even was happy with negotiations, I got a little and they kept some. Not perfect but it got long and I was rushed. That's what I get buying 90 minutes from home but it was worth the 2 trips.

Mike Peebles is the man! Hooked us up with a gorgeous 2012 Subaru Outback. Stayed ridiculously late to get us set up in our new car. Was easy to get in touch with the entire process and let us know when cars came on the lot that matched our needs. The whole team was great, car detail was on point. Car buying is always a hassle, but it was bearable at Wilde/ with Mike.

Edit on 7/12. While Tyler was great, we've had a few issues since purchasing so I am changing my rating to 3. While the 182 point inspection sounds great... we had to bring the vehicle back 2 days later for an issue. We also were suppose to get new plates. They have us a temp plate and a month later found out they didn't issue new plates but transferred plates which were expired. That was fun explaining to the police officer. The front receptions are not very friendly either.

We had a great experience buying our vehicle. Tyler Z was fantastic. Go see him for your next vehicle!!

DO YOUR HOMEWORK! They will low ball your trade-in and tell you that the car has serious mechanical issues and is therefore only worth 1/2 of what KBB says your trade is worth.
HAVE YOUR TRADE LOOKED AT BY A MECHANIC BEFORE YOU GO IN. Everybody there has a smile and a suit and will try to disarm you with their charm, but know that EVERY smile in that place hides fangs. They are high pressure sales and want to close ASAP. This computer is your best tool to make sure you don't get ripped off.
GET YOUR OWN FINANCING from a bank before you go in.
SCRUTINIZE EVERY CHARGE ON YOUR BILL. They have "Interior protection" for $700, Paint and ding protection for $695, Roadside assistance for $395, etc...and every one of these charges will show up on your bill if you are not careful.
That place has amazing selection. It's like a circus in there, gongs going off, flags waving, a giant luck wheel for you to spin, people milling around like its a casino, bright colors and fancy cars. Casinos were not built on the backs of winners, but on the backs of the losers.
Be prepared to HAGGLE, NEGOTIATE, COMPARISON SHOP AND BE SMART. And you might walk out of there with a beautiful car that was a good deal. They are not going to make it easy on you though.

Purchased a car there in the past and they never honored their "we owe you". Tried contacting about a special of theirs and they told me 3 times they would email me the information. I confirmed my email 3 times with different internet chat people and NO SALESPERSON CONTACTED ME! I had also inquired about a different make, model special at another dealership and they got back to me within 30 minutes!!! The other dealership is on the same road but they actually care about their customers. I went in and was treated like family not a money pit like my experience here. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!! Trust me! Managers only care about money not the customer satisfaction.

I would give 5 stars but my last go around with them is leaving me on the shakey end. I tell them I am having trouble with my seat belt unbuckling itself while I'm driving. Tell me theres nothing wrong with it. I still continue to drive around and my seat belt comes undone constantly.

They have no idea what the word no means. I told them as soon as I walked in that I was shopping around and was going for multiple test drives that day and that I was not interested in purchasing that day. I wanted to drive the HR-V. The test drive itself took about 15 minutes, and we were stuck there for over an hour with these men HOUNDING us. I ended up telling them I didn't like the car because they wouldn't let us leave. I understand its their job to sell cars, but I told them no less than 15 times that I wasn't interested. I couldn't go for any more test drives because they kept me there so long.

Lucky for me, I did some scouting out but when it came to testing cars and looking at them Chris Krause was there for me. Even though I thought I had him on the ropes on a 6 speed Accent, he trusted me. After that car, I got to try the Dodge Dart for a spin and 2 of them to be exact. Then I found my one car that even Chris agreed with me. Now I drive a 2016 Dodge Dart and I love it everyday. Thank you Chris Krause!!

My experience with Wilde was fantastic. I got the best price on my new Accord V6 available in the state. The staff was friendly and the place was clean and comfortable. Shane in sales and Keith, his manager, helped the process go smoothly and showed me all the new features on my car. I didn't expect buying a car to be a quick process, but from the first handshake to driving off the lot in my new ride only took a couple hours. I also received a call from Shane a couple days later to make sure I still loved my new car and to ask if I had any questions. Check out Wilde first. They aren't the typical sleazy dealership we've all come to expect nowadays, and their prices and selection are literally unbeatable.

My first experience going to this dealership was a few months ago. My husband and I were looking for a better vehicle to prepare for our daughter (I was 7 months pregnant at the time) and I wanted to look at Honda Pilots. We worked with Dylan and while the shopping experience was good, I am very disappointed with what I recently found wrong with the car. I took the car in to get what I thought would be a smaller repair, and then it turned into some surprising issues that make me wonder if the car has been safe for me and my daughter to even drive in. They claimed they did all of this work on the car, but they should have seen these issues and corrected them before selling. I should have taken it in sooner to get looked at, but at least the repair place I went to gave me a good deal on the repairs.

We've bought 4 vehicles from this location for the main reason that the salesmen are fast at finding what we want. Jeff Meyer helped us this time around and was very informative and heard what we were looking for and what budget we had to work with. Also, Tyler and Ethan in financing have always worked with our bank and pulls everything up quickly which gets us in and out in a reasonable amount of time. My wife and I had sought to purchase a SUV. The 2014 Jeep Patriot they had on the Wilde Honda of Waukesha caught our eye so we decided to go there to see if we could test drive it. Hector our salesman guided us through the whole process of buying the car and he wasn't pushy like some salesman are. We ended up test driving the vehicle and decided to buy it. The car had a headrest issue that needed replacement and Hector said he would take care of it and that is exactly what he did. They purchased the part and installed it on them. We are very happy with our purchase and how we were treated. Even rich the finance guy was a blessing to work with. Everybody treated us real well.

Close to calling the cops if I don t get my money back for a down payment I put on a car that they didn t even have a title for. Waited over 2 weeks for the title and nothing. Now it s been over a week since I told them the deal was off. Now they re holding my 500$ cash deposit after I came in on two separate occasions to collect my money back. They said they ll mail a check and I haven t gotten it still. Nice customer service!

Went in for passenger side airbag recall. Was told my vehicle needed brakes front and back and would cost me approximately $390. I never authorized any inspection of my vehicle. This should have been asked when I entered the service center. All brakes on my vehicle were done before I came to this dealership for the airbag recall. Anyone could see they are brand new by looking at them. They tried to swindle me. So glad I do not use this Honda service center for routine maintenance. Now I am wondering if they in fact serviced the passenger airbag or if maybe they saw me and thought they could get away with anything.

My entire experience was very enjoyable at Wilde Honda. Brett Dumstrey and Bruce Mesa were very professional and I even joked with Bruce how painless the whole process was. The terms of my loan was better than my credit union could have offered so that more than exceeded my expectations. I would wholeheartedly recommend Wilde Honda to anyone. I should mention that I bought a used vehicle. Thanks again! Oh and thanks to Jeff also in the finance dept. A+ in my book.

Service department tried to charge me for the issue that was fixed in earlier service. Tried to make it look like it was different but related. When asked why not tell me before. Their comment "we're trying to save you money".

Also they never addressed the complaint.

I was looking for a good used Honda Civic for my son who recently graduated from college. Looking online I noticed that Wilde Honda had many great options on their lot within my price range (and I checked many other used Civics online for comparisons). The selection was great as well as the end of month sales going on at the time. My salesman, Usman, was very friendly and helpful. I found a great 2012 Civic with low miles that was literally "good as new".

During the purchase process, we noticed that the car was missing floor mats and a spare key. Neither one was available at that time and we could pick them up the following week. When my son returned home to pick up his new car and head back to school, the floor mats and key were not ready. I called Usman to see what he could do. Although it was his day off, he offered to go into work to help my son take care of these missing items for him. That was great customer service that exceeded my expectations! I would highly recommend Wilde Honda!

Tom Shannon came highly recommended from a family friend and after spending a full day car shopping with him we wouldn't send someone to anyone else to consider buying a vehicle. He went above and beyond to make sure we were fully informed about all aspects all the purchasing process and left no stone unturned. He made sure we were comfortable throughout the decision-making process and we were made to feel like family. He was knowledgeable and very understanding to our needs. He never gave up on us even when the search was taking much longer than expected and provided many tasty cookies to hold us over. Without his presence we're not sure we would've drove away with a new vehicle and smiling faces.

However, potential buyers should be forewarned that company's covid policy was inconsistent, with some of their staff wearing masks and others not. If you are protective of and concerned about your health, this is not a facility that is at all comfortable to be in.

Finance guy horrible. Terrible high pressure sales pitch to upsell services. Would not stop sales pressure even after my wife and I asked him to stop. Why is high pressure sale from the finance guy part of a dealership business model? It would seem they anger customers more than they sell extended warranties.

Chris Krause is a wonderful person to work with. Buying a car is always overwhelming and obnoxious. Chris was not pushy and he worked with me to stay within my budget. He also took time to research other cars that I may be interested in. Great experience and I would go back to Chris if I need to buy another car.

This is a large dealership with a large selection which is why I was able to find a specific used Subaru Outback trim that I wanted. The sales associate, Sean, was helpful as was the online associate, Christina. The vehicle was described and represented accurately online and during the test drive. During negotiations they play the salesman/manager game. That said, I negotiated a fair deal and I am happy with the purchase.

Really great experience with Colten, he went above and beyond the expectations of a car salesman. He made sure everything was perfect with my car before I got it and even went and dropped it off at my work for me. Although I only work across the street it was still very nice.

Chandler and Mike Gladieux were absolutely amazing...

Chandler and Mike Gladieux were absolutely amazing. Came in to purchase a company vehicle a few weeks back and was a flawless experience. Spoke with them via phone before I got there and they had a line of cars pulled up as options. They were spot on with what I was looking for and I was in and out of the dealership in about 2 hours test driving, signing and out the door. Was going to pick up my new car the next day but decided to come back that night so they sent the car in to get detailed right away and I came back two hours later and the car was set to go. These two guys are the reason I would recommend everyone to go to Wilde Honda...a truly great experience with no hassling or BS. Straight to the point, fast, friendly and truly amazing customer service

Matt Warren treated us very well, pulled up a cartoon for my antsy kids to watch while we were filling out the paperwork. He worked with us to stay within our budget and got us reimbursed quickly and without hassle for a defective battery. Overall a very positive experience for us.
