Atmosphere was family friendly. Good service. Food was fresh and hot. Loved the outdoors here.

Food was super good. Portion size was generous. The service was friendly and courteous. The dining room was warm on this chilly day. They have a swingset outside which is nice for family time after your meal or while your waiting for your number to be called. Will definitely go again!
Good food good prices there seafood is the best around.
Great steamers....and u can ride your ohrv right into the parking lot from woods
It was ok. I've had better. I had fried clams, no taste.
First time there. Very quick service and outstanding seafood. They handle social distancing extremely well. Will return.
Food was great. The atmosphere was a typically Summer type place. Really large screened in porch to enjoy lunch in. Nice scenery. However apparently they don't call out the order #'s anymore. After awhile people had to just go check for their food. French fries got cold! Fried Haddock sandwich was messy but really tasty.
Clam syrups and whole clams were great. Good soft serve ice cream
From the moment you enter this restaurant the waiters give you a nice feeling. Very hospitable waiters, it is a good place to hang out with your friends or with your date. Excellent food, talented chef de cuisine, good pay and attentive service. Warmly recommended.
Very country nicely Laid back good tasting Fish Dishes and Diner
its was horrible, they were out of general tsos chicken and some kid kept winking at me
Love this place! Their scallops are so delcious. They have a playground on site with is perfect for most ages (2.5 up )
The staff are very on top of anything you want or could need. I highly recommend going here for lunch or dinner
Clam strips and haddock nuggets were awesome. They have a nice socially distant setup.
I went to High Tide last night. I m currently using a walker to get around be a of a fractured pelvis.
When I arrived I found two handicap spots, both were filled. There were many spots in the same row next to the handicap spots. Some were empty but were for curbside pickup, so I couldn t park there. Instead I had to park approximately 45 yds away, push the walker through gravel, up a ramp, to the doors that had a sign that read Exit Only . Thankfully an employee opened the door for me.
The food was quite expensive so I just opted for an ice cream. Virtually no social distancing at the order window, but everyone had masks on. Social distancing was used in the dining area, and there was plenty of outdoor seating.
I would recommend providing more parking spots for handicap people, and moving all curbside parking back.
Love this place primarily for the ice cream and playground
I LOVE that they have a playground for the kids to utilize while waiting for food. It's generally very busy so the wait is long, great distraction for kids!! Food is great as well!!
Five stars on stuffed haddock I had and the service was great.
Delicious and friendly place. Was not really impressed with lobster roll but had not had it before so didn't know what to expect
A little out of the way but kind of fun. This is an ice cream comfort food kind of place that is seasonal. I had mussels and they were good but nothing amazing. There is an outdoor screened in porch area. On hot muggy days you'll be in the shade and out of the bugs..... but not out of the hot and muggy. The food is kind of pricey for what you get but a good place to get your ice cream fix.
Food was ok just a little bit pricey for the
portion
It is good food at a good price. Stop in for seafood and ice cream.
The staff are working so hard to keep everyone safe. We can't even tip enough. Thank you
Love the staff here, warm friendly and helpful. Open seasonally, with cheap seafood and mounds of delicious ice cream. It may be slightly questionable for your waistline but it's good for your wallet and great for your taste buds.
A shame I can't give a 1/2 star rating. To start I will say that I visited this place based on the reviews and average stars. I brought a good friend here for her birthday because she loves seafood. Driving up I liked how it had that 6th grade camp feel. I then saw how the handicap access left much to be desired.
When I had questions about the food I was impressed that the cook who answered me seemed to know his business and I was looking forward to the food.
Let me add in at this point that I am not a huge fan of fried sea food. One of the more famous chain fried seafood companies always gets me sick and so I rarely have fried sea food.
Over 50% of the items on the menu was fried sea food, 25% was baked and the other 25% was ice cream. I ordered the Captains platter which consisted of clams, scallops, haddock fries, and cole slaw.
as I hesitantly started in with the fried clams I was absolutely amazed! They were delicious! For the speed that they came from the kitchen I was completely wowed! I could not wait to get to my Haddock! next were the scallops. I bit into my first fried scallop and was greeted with a nice juicy "Hello!" It was at this time I had changed my mind about fried seafood and this was going to be the place that would earn my business.
At first taste the haddock was unimpressive. As I began to have doubts, the second bite of Haddock set my doubts in stone.
The center of the fish was still pink with a slight halo of transparency on the edge. as I tore the breading off the filet, the inside of the crust was doughy and under-cooked. Disappointed, I decided to finish off my meal with the coleslaw. Upon first bite I wanted to spit out the offensive food. What should have been a creamy slaw sauce, was runny and tasted like the dairy had gone bad or the vinegar was different. I immediately said to my birthday guest, "You should only use moms recipie if mom's Recipie is good."
Over all High Tide Take out specializes in fried seafood, and it does it in a mediocre and painfully average way. This is more disappointing than if the food was just bad.
Pro's: Fantastic family environment, In season food, friendly staff relaxing atmosphere.
Con's: Inconsistent meal prep, undercooked food,
Final Thoughts: I am glad the fish is fresh and in season otherwise I could have left with food poisoning as well as a stomach full of disappointment. Sushi should be left to the sushi bars and this place should serve great fried fish. It is fast fish +1 due to the ingredients and hometown atmosphere, but not much better than average.
Excellent food, fried seafood mostly, reasonably priced. Both indoor and outdoor seating! Ice cream to top it off! They also have curbside service for take home service!
Nothing special. Strawberry shake was very good but seafood was not anything to make me return here. Chowder was bland, floury tasting, with no clams, all potatoes. Lobster bisque was not to expectation either.
More expensive than last year (what isn't) but totally yummy. Captain's Combo and Chicken Tender dinner both made with care and with generous portions.
Standard clam shack format. Not inexpensive but fair
Ive been coming to this place for years and it's always finding ways to out do themselves :-) always a good time
I always love my dad taking me here and we get to have some ice cream and it's nice and clean and the food is always delicious
Hadn't been there in a long time. Stopped by after the Epping Car Swap. Took me a long time to read the menus. Asked the person behind the counter for recommendations. I figured they just say the most expensive items,,,they didn't,,,suggested midrange items that were cooked to/with Perfection,,taste an appearance was Excellent.
Great seafood. Very fresh shrimp and scallops! Even the Cole slaw was good. Fast friendly service. We will definitely be back!
I had the fried haddock & chips. Good size portion and price was very reasonable.
Great food and great ice cream
A tad expensive though...
We tried their fish and chips. Nice crispy batter, not too heavy. Just the right amount of fries, so I didn't feel like I was wadting food. We will be back.
Highly recommend. The food is great and the Wednesday Cruise night is a lot of fun.
Hubby's clam strips were like rubber and my steak tips were tough
Best seafood you can get in the area. Just as good as you would get ocean side. Big selection of surf or turf as well as once cream. Inside and outdoor seating. Playground too for the little guys and gals. Had a blast and would recommend.
First time there got clam rolls take out style and fried mushrooms. The clams were perfect not gritty very clean and everything was well made for a to go dinner! Very happy.
I've only done takeout from here, but almost everything has been great. So far, I've tried the fried clam plate, potato skins, fried pickles, buffalo tenders, and cajun salmon sandwich. With the exception of the cajun salmon (which was still good, just a bit...underseasoned, maybe?), I've been entirely satisfied. The fried pickles definitely exceeded my expectations...especially given that I got them in a takeout order! Each time I've ordered, I've been able to pick the food up within 15 to 20 minutes, and the staff has been quick and friendly. I'll definitely be back soon to try the ice cream!
Love coming here. They're open seasonally. They have a bunch of friend foods, seafoods, chicken tenders, broasted chicken (which is the bomb and I always order it), burgers, ice cream. My family has been coming for years and we will continue to do so!
Note a big fan of seafood in general but this is great.
Good food. A little expensive. Usually friendly service, but not this week.
Quintessential New England seafood joint, just 80 miles from the coast. Great haddock and clam strips.
Great friend clams at $14.95. Nice setting and great for kids.
Negative - smelly rest room but clean.
Awesome .. wish it was open year round .. large portions .. great place to go if you want fried goodness
Food was ok. Expensive and the kid Mac and cheese was definitely from a box.
Everything from the food to the building to the employees to the owner is great. My wife and I love this place. Prices are reasonable. Food is awesome. Always get a side of either the onion rings or fried mushrooms.
Great staff great food well worth the prices you end up leaving very full and content just wish they would have one in Milford NH be eating their all the time. Keep up the great work WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE
Great place to take the kids.
My family goes regularly for me to get a seafood fix while the kids enjoy the playground. To finish off a great meal with great ice cream just makes it all the better.
Delicious Lobster rolls with toasted bun and lettuce. Onion rings to die for, perfect portions.
The food is excellent we drive over an hour to go there. The only complaint I have is that they always forget something every time
High Tide is the place to go for Seafood and Ice Cream! Always love going there when in town!! Thanks for being great!
Their sea food is great! Love the onion nuggets and rings also!
Beware when you order an ice cream, we shared a child's size and almost couldn't finish it! Great place, great people we love HighTide!
Haddock chowder was delicious. Onion rings were cooked just right with a golden crust. Excellent food.
I favorite Summer place to go! Seafood always yummy!
Nice when the weather gets warm. Love the fried clams! And ice cream. The yard has a nice place for kids to play and mingle. A great place for a nice family dinner.
Yummy food, delicious ice cream. Screen porch seating is open which is nice. Gets busy at times so there may be a wait.
I wish you could get more CLAM strips on the CLAM plate.
We love this place, and being new to the area, we were surprised to find that it had THE BEST haddock around. I like the atmosphere, I love that they have seating inside and out and that the playground helps keeps the kiddos entertained. The service is always fantastic and we will make it point to visit often
