Social justice and coffee that is stellar. Anyone who gives a bad reviews of this place is ignorant and or had a fluke experience staff are chill but quick and always friendly. Support women and children in your community!

Pretty cool place to hang out I guess just be careful you might be sitting on a Reserve table. Wanted to buy some beans for my espresso, got a bit of a sticker shock when I got the bill. I noticed no prices on the regular beans up front. Ended up paying 15 bucks for a baggie, didn't weigh it or anything so I'm not sure if it was a pound or less or what it was, the individual just scooped up some beans and bagged it. Wanted to try the decaf roast, it's by my work but next time I'm downtown I'll have to get it from that well-known roaster down there $3 cheaper per lb.

Awakenings coffee is an awesome coffee shop. They really care about their food and coffee and their passion is reflected in the quality of their products and the friendly service. Awakenings is a great place to hang out with couches and games to play. A good place to study with out of the way spots to sit with lots of outlets to use if your a college student like myself. And they really care about their community.

They have events going on every week from beginners art classes to small bands performing live music.

In the short time they've been around they already have regulars who come in and I hear them often greet customers by name when they come through the door, which says a lot about a business.

They also serve a lot of other things you might not get or expect from other coffee shops in Boise. They have local beers and wines, home made humus and other goodies, and they're always expanding their menu and trying new things.

Ask Jake to make you a Cortado if you want to try a "more impressive" coffee order or try the regular drink you always get. It'll be good, and if you don't like something, they're happy to make you something else.

These guys have had a great impression on me and I hope they do the same for you if you decide to try it out.

One of the best coffee shops in Boise. Coffee is outstanding and is roasted onsite. Some of the best coffee I've ever had. Food is excellent especially the breakfast burrito. Staff is knowledgeable and super friendly.

The shop itself is large and cozy with couches and tables and plenty of power hookups for laptops and devices. Atmosphere is great for working, hanging out, or just relaxing with friends. Highly recommended.

Great environment, I noticed that there was an art class of some sort (which is cool). The coffee was good but not the best I've had (and maybe that's just me) but I will be back and I'll try something else and see if I upgrade the star rating. Overall good, I recommend at least try it once.

I use this coffee shop as my office :) Love the coffee, but the casual environment makes it perfect for meeting my clients. I tip well to help pay for the office space :) update :) still love you guys. My clients always enjoy their time there too. Danika is always friendly and everyone pays attention to their peeps :)

Very nice place. Reasonable pricings, couches, extension cords for plugging in things to be charged, tables, and live performances (I've yet to see one). Nice atmosphere, quiet (except for talking) with well appreciated music in the background. Good service and great people. All in all, it's a nice hang out place. Maybe a good place to do homework or study, have yet to do that.

From the outside it doesnt seem like much but once you walk in it feels like home, good vibes. You have to take your dishes to the bins but that's not too hard to do. Outside seating is not too loud.

I ordered some herbal tea. Upon asking for a 2nd tea bag because I like my tea stronger and offered to pay for it, I was denied it. The employee stated "We size all our teabags to 16oz. Just let it steep longer." Then she walked away. My herbal tea did not taste like like tea. It tasted like bitter water as it was not the right strength for the amount of water. No customer should be denied a 2nd tea bag especially if offering to pay for it.

Great place, really nice people working there too. Love the laid back atmosphere, and that people seem to gather in small groups there for knitting/clubs/meetups. Makes it a fun place where there is always stuff happenin, but still a chill atmosphere! It's my favorite place to go work when I need a break from the home office. It doesn't look like much from the outside, which is to bad, cuz it's a great place and much bigger than it seems from outside. The coffee is awesome and the melts/sandwiches r really good to, just make sure ur specific on what u want cuz sometimes different ppl make them differently. :) highly recommend this place!

It's true, you can't judge a book by its cover. Based on the uninspiring signage and fairly odd location I wasn't expecting much as I opened to door to uncharted territories. To my surprise, Awakenings was a cute, cozy place with exceptional service. The peppermint tea was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Love the cold brew, Love the atmosphere, and I love that they support local art! Great spot to meet with friends, enjoy some breakfast, and/or post up on your computer with free wifi.

I am so glad this place opened on our side of town! Their coffee is so good and not too sweet and the pastries are to die for. The owner is always quick to come out and say hello and the staff is super friendly. It's nice and roomy and bright and a lovely place to sit and chat or read a book with your coffee.

My small group started visiting the place. It is very popular place on Friday mornings. But most of us usually drank coffee, but this morning I missed my breakfast. Today I had medium eggs with extra crispy crispy bacon, will anyway the lady nicely did fix my bacon after getting bacon wimp. But the eggs were over easy, which it made had been my mistake ordering eggs, it is noisy when ordering. Then a member of my group said it took him 45 minutes before got his meal. This is not a restaurant, just a coffee shop.

I live just a few miles from Awakenings but visited for the first time today. I am hooked the atmosphere is relaxed enough to come and visit with friends but quite enough to meet with clients, or work remotely.

The coffee was great too. I got a cold brew that was very smooth, and my partner got a Matcha with coconut milk that she loved.

The seating is a good mix of chairs at both small(2-4 person) and big top(6-10 person) tables and couches. We sat at a couch and it was very cozy.

The staff were all very friendly and professional and our drinks got out quickly despite it being a busy day.

The payment system is a touchpad system so you can swipe your card and tip in a easy convenient manner with the option to print, or email a receipt.

Overall I had a great experience and view this as the best coffee shop I have visited in the valley.
