Local coffee that tastes wonderful. Awakenings has a knowledgeable staff and a comfortably furnished interior. They have live music at times, that adds to the atmosphere. They serve whine and beer as well as coffee.

Great coffee house! Roomy nooks to share, not too noisy and very good coffee. I prefer black coffee and the two choices in the carafes were excellent. A place for people to play board games, catch up on some work, or just visit with friends.

Love this place! Their coffee is delicious, and they have a great selection of teas, too. There are plenty of choices if you have a sweet tooth, and you can also het breakfast or lunch. Everything is fresh and made to order!!

Speciality coffee was smaller than I wasexpecting. Couldn't taste any pumpkin. Asked for mixed berry short stack. They forgot the mixed berries. Didnt bother to mention it so I didnt have to wait an extra 10 minutes. Pancakes were spongy. Yall should use kodiak cakes pancake mix. Syrup tasted like aunt jamima quality of syrup. I'll be back for sure to give it another shot

Large and sunny coffee house. Good place to escape the winter weather and talk or study. The staff is excellent and the music is good, and I hope the house will continue to perfect its coffee (would love some really dark roast).

Phenomenal staff that is very personable. I work close by and have developed some awesome relationships with the people here. Their coffee is excellent and roasted in house! My favorite coffee in Boise!

Great coffee + shop. Service was fast and friendly, place is comfortable to sit, sip, chat, and work. It s busy, but not crowded. I d highly suggest this place for good coffee, comfy food, and good service.

The live music here is great though I wish that customers would be a bit quieter while the performance is going on so everyone who wants to listen can. The coffee here is great as well as other hot beverages and snacks. There's comfortable seating such as couches. The only problems I have with the place is that 1. The wait can be a bit long and 2. Some of the couches feel as if they could use a quick wash. There are live trees near most of the couches and many leaves fall into the cracks as well as the fact that the floor beneath the potted plants can get a bit dirty and rocky.

I love coming here for a great cup of espresso and snack but also to meet friends here. It's so laid back, the servers who work here are very nice and do a great job of getting your order correct the first time! I like to go in to read or to work on my computer and its nice and comfortable with couches to relax on with friends or make new friends that are already there. Did I say their espresso and cappuccinos are really delicious!! It's not too expensive either. I rate this 10 * but there's only 5* so 5* it is.

Well. I'm not a fan of writing mediocre reviews of a place, but in this case I fell like I need to.
Let me start with the fact that the iced mocha I had was good, and my moms iced tea had great flavor. We had lunch and I was really displeased. My moms club was good, but my chicken ceasar wrap tasted like something I would get at McDonalds, so why was it so expensive. My poor dad ordered the quesadilla, and was still hungry after, however he did say the salsa that was with it was good.
For this being the first time here, I was unaware of their ordering practices, and I apologize for that, but the gentleman how took our order at the counter could have been a little friendlier. Plus, if you want people to order lunch at lunch time, I highly suggest having the lunch menu available for people to look at, having to ask to see it was confusing, and frustrating when you expected us to know what we wanted, without even knowing where to find the menu.
The bathroom was pretty dirty feeling, but the atmosphere of the place was okay.
I can't say I will be back.

Nice quiet place when we were there. Wait staff was good. If your wheelchair-bound it should not be a problem to get in and out with your chair. The coffee was good, you can have a free cup of drip which is located in the back in hand pumps. Lots of seating couches tables little nooks.

I have been to awakenings many many times and have always had excellent service, food and pastries. Today I called 3 times and listened to their message which stated they were open from 7 to 8 Monday through Thursday. Then when I pushed the button, because I wanted to speak with someone, I got a voice recording that stated I was calling after hours and not to leave a message. It was only 3:30 in the afternoon. The 4th time I called I was able to talk to someone and asked if they had some muffins. They did and I said I'll be there to pick them up (thinking I had time since their message stated they were open till 8). We drove in from Star arriving at 5:03 to find the door locked! I wish they would have mentioned they closed at 5 or at least correct their recording!!

The AC was broken. It was roasting.

The AC was broken. It was roasting.
The cleanliness in the bathroom and kitchen looked like a filthy truck stop.
The scone was ok, but cost $4.
The Health Department would not be happy.

Ordered a breakfast burrito for the first time, it was good with salsa until I bit down into a pear stem, almost an inch long and a quarter inch wide. Then some hard burnt cheese thing. What was that doing in a sausage/egg burrito? I told the barista and she said, 'Yep, it sure is!' She took it, but not before I snapped a photo of it and will post it on Facebook for my chef friends to comment on. Before this incident, I was going to give it 5 stars.

Great!
