Westminster Toyota Review

Had another great experience with New Westminster Toyota! This is the third car I ve worked with Lance on and it s been great. Thanks!

Part guy does not know how to work effciently. He talk on the phone for almost 40 minutes discussing and chatting a potential customer on some parts. Where I am there just to pick up a part and go 5-10 mins tops. Instead of catering to a in store customer that knows what he needs, he continues to take two more calls. Wasted 1 hour of my time and not understanding customer's need. I waved to signal please I just need some oem fluid and I will be on my merry way. His colleague tried to help and put my items on the counter but the part guy on the phone is the only one that can ring the transaction. I left the dealer feeling left out and empty handed :(

We visited the Westminster Toyota dealership to test drive the Corolla and C-HR models. We met with Jag Mahil, Product Advisor. He provided really great customer service. We were very impressed with the team and the approach with clients, everyone was very courteous and helpful. We definitely recommend Westminster Toyota.

We went there to buy a new suv but we socked there when a girl named TANYA came with ignorant way and talk with us very rudely. Being a loyal toyota customer it's our 5th car but when we try to contact manager even that guy straight told me if you want to buy or not he don't care. Very unprofessional Manger and his team. Folks don't go this place better go some other toyota dealership.hopefully toyota will hire some professional peoples or keep losing business.

During my experience, my dealer, Lance Barrs, made the best possible deal for myself and my family. He was direct, clear and concise; Lance made me realize that the car I was receiving would be a much more comfortable and safe ride as well as a much better investment. Overall, my time at Westminster Toyota was a very good experience and it was thanks to Lance!

I did thorough check on my credit report & found it was co-incidence that my score went down same day when we visited this place. Actually it was not related to any credit enquiry. Hence, I just want to apologize for not digging my report first. Now, I don t have number of that sales guy but hope you will read this & will accept my apologies. I have never bought anything from your agency but surely will try once. Otherwise, thank you for being polite & patient. Have wonderful sales this year

Yesterday, I went with my friends to plan purchase of hybrid one & for test drive of a vehicle they requested DL as well our credit card. In good faith to assist my friend I have given my Credit Card & now today I have just checked my Credit score dropped by 15 pts. I am damn sure I have not shared any of my details with any of the outlet. Even I visited Honda & they just asked for our DL nothing as Credit Card. I won't recommend anyone to atleast buy from this agency. Even I am Toyota Rav4 owner bur they have lost my trust. Surely, will escalate to Toyota if they wanna maintain the loyality of customers.

Never in my life have a been through such a horrible experience as my wife and I had at this dealership. We were the first people to come and test drive and buy a highlander that was posted online the same day. 10 minutes from the dealership we get a call that someone called in and put a deposit on the vehicle, preventing us from buying it for 48 hours. We still came, loved it and said that we would like to put in a deposit the minute the 48 hours ended so we could purchase it, CASH. Salesman said there was a high chance the customer's finances would fall through. After 48 hours of eagerly waiting and the other customer not showing up, we showed up, ready to buy. But management ( I'd like to point out specifically Kartik )stopped us from buying, as they extended the other customers deposit timeline another 12 hours because they called in! This was a total stoke-show of a process for someone's first experience buying from what I thought would be a reputable dealership and to be given the run around for 4 days was a complete waste of our time. We of course lost out on the vehicle. This is a totally unfair practice, especially on a young couple ready to buy with zero response or sympathy from management on screwing this up. I really hope the owner see's this and stricter policy is put in place to prevent this from happening to someone else. I will take every opportunity in my line of work in the auto industry to prevent someone from purchasing from this dealership.

William was a great salesman had lots of respect and patience for his customers. Staff are friendly and will get you the best deals.

Customer service was excellent. Got a used car in this dealership. Took me more than one month to decide what car to purchase, what payment I should use, etc. Benson and Leo were not pushy, and always answered my questions. They showed me all the repair documents, and nothing was kept behind the scenes. Always answered text messages or phone calls, and made me feel very comfortable when purchasing a vehicle with them.

Didn't feel completely taken care of. Also a little bit taken back and forth. Not too clear what was being offered. Beautiful show room though.

I recently bought a certified used 2014 Tundra from Kartik he was honest and knowledgable. We received great customer service and he even brought us a snack for our 2 year old son while we were negotiating. When I came to pick up my truck I was given a full walkthrough and tank of gas.

I'm grateful that i came here, which is more than i can say for other dealerships i have visited recently. good location, lots of stores around that you can visit if you're waiting. also nobody was pushy, which i appreciate. very good staff..jag is a good guy.

Great service and very personable staff onsite. They were great to deal with and talk to! The woman who transferred me to the Service Department was quite rude and abrupt but everyone else was a pleasure to work with. It was efficient and easy and just a great place to come to.

Located about 10 mins walk from the New Westminster sky train station. Good customer experience but they over promise. Practically it is not possible if you think deeply about their promises. If you are clear with what you want then go to this place or better research other places before you reach this place. Well I believe it s gonna be the same at all places if you are not researching before you go to any car dealership.

Leased a vehicle through this dealer recently. Overall it was a good experience, we were able to work out a fair deal and sales team was relatively low pressure. The detail upon delivery was sub-par, the window sticker residue was still on the window and the cars paint had not been taken care of properly. Lots of swirls and a few small chips to be fixed. Overall I am happy with the vehicle and the experience I had with the sales team.

I bought a traded-in Nissan at this dealership. Soon after I got home, the dealership let me know about a very minor issue they had been aware of and neglected to correct before the sale. They were very accommodating and helpful with getting the issue completely resolved at no cost to me. After this was corrected, I found out that what had appeared to be cosmetic damage to the stereo actually impacted its function. It took some back and forth with the salesperson and sales manager, but a replacement was arranged and they sent me a cheque to cover that cost. I'm a very happy customer and have no regrets buying from this dealership.

I got ripped off by this location spending thousands of dollars to replace a bearing that failed 2 years later, I guess they didnt put a new part or simply they didn t do it right.

My initial post 3 months ago was not very favorable regarding my experience with Westminster Toyota. However, after the sales manager read the Google review he called me personally and wanted to know how he could make this right. From there we had very good dialogue back and forth. However, in the end we were not able to make a deal that worked for both of us.

This is a very shady dealership that will screw you around, absolutely unprofessional. I know that can be said about many, but heres the story. So in the end after being told I had a deal and to come one in, I am later told that the deal is off, but should feel lucky to get it at that price. But also, first off I called one night to talk to the guy I first met there, he says "no we can't do that deal, we actually have people coming in tonight see it." Then coincidentally I get a call from another guy I sent an email about the car to, and he also says no we can't do that deal, but with him there are no other people coming in to look at the car (clearly they didn't coordinate well). Then he calls me and says we have a deal, which is later thrown back in my face. They should have taken responsibility for an employees mistake, it was very unprofessional. Toyota is awesome, just find a different dealership.

Purchased a new Hybrid Camry unfortunately it has issues they can't fix. I don't know what will happen next. Very nice people here but I am still a bit upset about having a new car that still is not fixed after 2 months after purchasing.

Manufacturing defect that the dealership refuses to take responsibility for. Absolute disgrace. There is even an extended warranty on the vehicle, and the dealership refuses to even take a look at what's going on.

Had a very unpleasant experience with sales manager. Went to trade my BMW X5 for 2017 4runner. While negotiation we were treated very rudely and some of the comments made by sales manager were very inappropriate.
He said " We have alot of CAUCASIAN customers and they do not negotiate at all ! "
He continued "If I had known that you were going to negotiate , I would have low balled to begin with and made you beg for every penny"

Everyone works hard for their money and if I can afford 47000$ SUV then it doesn't mean I can't negotiate !
It felt like I was being racially profiled !

Do want to mention that other Manager Kartik and salesperson Chintan were very professional and apologized for all this. That manager also called back to apologize within 2 hours of posting this Review. I am glad some actions were taken but I am deeply hurt and will not be going back to this location again.

Got my car on January, I was helped by a great gentleman KARTIK SHARMA, he was so friendly and welling to help and answer any inquiry .

Kartik is the best salesman ever. No pressure sales and so kind and patient. Gave me the best deal compared to all dealerships and treated me like I'm at a luxury car dealership. I highly recommend

I'm using my daughter's google account to write this review. Anyways I took my daughter's car (2008 Prius) in for an oil change and safety check. They charged me $331, plus a miscelaneous charge for $24 (it apparently went for shop supplies). Keep in mind that they also charge $144/h for shop fees. I was also told the brake actuator and brake actuator resistor has to be replaced. The part was $1323 and once labour was added on it came to a grand total of $1802 ON TOP OF THE ORIGINAL $331. But wait there is more. On top of this $1802, they charged me more shop fees ($35). So basically to sum it up, they way overcharged me. I would not recommend doing your service at Westminster Toyota. The manager was arrogant, unhelpful, wouldn't waive any of the shop fees and they had my daughter's car for a week, WITHOUT a courtesy car. I will never buy another Toyota or do business with them again. The manager said "this is the way banks do business and Telus." I was appalled at the way I was treated and then had the $2500 bill to pay on top of that.

I would HIGHLY recommend Westminster Toyota to everyone for stress and hassle-free transaction. All staff are very friendly and accommodating. Lance Barr helped me out throughout the whole process. I appreciate his patience, knowledge about product features and will give you his honest opinion. Overall, the whole experience was very pleasant for me! Check it out and look for Lance

I would give 0/5 if I could. Rude customer service, with no acknowledgement of the importance of customer service. Customers need to be treated with respect and like human beings. Will not be back to this location and may not ever buy a Toyota again after this experience.

As always everyone in the Service Department was great! The standard of service that they provide is very high and it's always a pleasure to bring my Prius V for regular servicing!

Just bought a 2020 Sienna from Westminster Toyota today, while working with Kartik and Lance.

I was very happy working with them. The office had taken good COVID-19 measures (using Skype, social distancing, no contact test drive, etc) and worked with me to accommodate my concerns.

Kartik was very upfront with me on what type of pricing he could give me, as opposed to the Peace Arch dealership on King George, who refused to talk pricing unless I had an in person meeting with the manager, which of course made me retract my deposit from them and cease working with them.

I will likely be returing to Westminster Toyota for servicing of my new Sienna, and buying my next vehicle from them.

In my opinion this dealer is a typical place that bolsters about its reputation but underdelivers. My situation was as follows; I got a call from a sales rep regarding a newly traded in 4runner. Being in the market for one, i decided to give it a try. I came in and saw the car, a 2006 4runner. I am very well familiar with these cars as I have seen about a dozen of them so I had a pretty good idea what to look for. First thing the undercarriage has surface rust more than usual despite it being a local Vancouver car. Second when I drove it had a strange clunk in the suspension - I mentioned that to the sales rep and he said that the mechanics would look at it. We haggled with the price a bit and I left a $500 deposit with the condition that they would inspect the car and if the price of repairs would be over 5k they would not sell it to me for the agreed price. In my mind I am thinking what kind of dealer would take a car on a trade in with a potential to require a 5k repair job - perhaps a dealer that is completely new in the car sales business or one that is dishonest and just wants to take you for a spin. In this case it was the later. Fast forward 1 week and I get a call to come and check out the car. They had it cleaned and put new brakes in it - looked very nice. I drove it for 200m and the cluck was still there. One important aspect is that the sales rep showed me briefly the work done on it. They did a bunch of work totaling about 3k. I mean really, 3k repairs on a car you take on a trade in??? After the second test drive I let the rep know that the clunk was still there. He tried to vehemently convince me that it was not the same thing - "sir we are a reputable dealer bla, bla, bla" I disagreed and stated it was the same noise. In the end he told me he would bring it up to the service manager next morning. How could they have repaired a bunch of stuff without doing a proper check on the suspension??? Anyhow, next morning I get a call from the Kartik sales rep saying that the repair is costly and they can't sell the car to me for the agreed price. At this point I understand that it was a bite and switch tactic to suck more money out of me. At that point I have asked for my deposit to be refunded. What a waste of time!!! I wonder how do they perform in other areas of their business if they can't properly inspect and estimate repair cost on cars that are traded in prior to offering them for sale. Shame on you!

I've purchased my second Toyota from them.This time thanks to Michael, he is helpful and patience.
