DAUPHIN MINISTERIAL SERVICE

Thank you to Westman Cable for televising the Ministerial Service held June 22nd in Dauphin, for the Seniors who were killed by the horrific accident by Carberry, Man.
on June 15th, killing 16. Also prayers for those still fighting to survive & their families & all who assisted during this great time of sorrow.

This is service you can count on and people you can trust. They train their staff very well. Have not ever dealt with a rude person to date. I have to deal with them on a regular basis for work and personal. I enjoy my time on the phone or by email with them. They have never been presented with an issue that they have not taken the time yo do their best to resolve.
I especially appreciate that they take it seriously when you do not have phone or internet and work promptly to ensure that you are reinstated the service you are paying for.
Only once have they been unable yo which was during a flood and a cut line and they gave a credit back on our bill for our missed service for more than I would have asked for.

I paid for and set up a at home kit they were completely unhelpful and rude. Natasha is a supervisor who will do nothing to help u and has a rude attitude. They did not help me confused my appointments and it took them over 5 days to figure out my internet setup ! Unimpressed with lack of care and customer service.

Overall a great internet company although they could offer faster internet speeds especially on the uploading, and yes price is a bit more pricier than Access Communications in Saskatchewan which is also a cooperative.

I have been using Westman Communication internet for over two years I could barely receive a connection on my second floor it was constantly lagging and I had the second fastest package I found myself constantly needing to reset the modem the few times I called in they suggested the obvious but didn't hesitate to suggest I upgraded which I did and still had hours throughout the day without service and with very little options for internet services in Brandon Ive been obligated to continue with them although I've realized the customer service is hardly customer oriented at all

we have to restart internet MINIMUM 10 times a DAY!! GO WITH BELL INSTEAD!!

We are switching to BELL on Monday , we spoke with a rep there and they were WAY MORE pleasant to deal with and were happy to give us a cheaper rate due to our awful experience with west man. They also are sending someone to hook up the internet right away when westman wouldn t even come look at the problem!!!!

I like that their a local company with local content but their rates are pretty expensive and I find their employees pushy. One came to my door and I was interested in more info but wanted to think it over before committing on the spot but the salesman wouldn t accept that. He would not stop pushing me to sign the agreement. It turned me off completely and I never followed up with them again.

I ve also seen WCG vehicles out and about, in town and on highways, and some employees are not good drivers. It reflects badly on the company when a company truck is tailgating, speeding or cutting other vehicles off.

Customer care technical support not great.The customer care I spoke with today did not solve my problem.Refreshing from their own end would have just solved the problem as this has been my experience.He got me upset when he started talking of a $30 fee if a technician is sent and they find no fault.

First off and MOST IMPORTANTLY the employees on the phone straight up asked me for my password. That is very sketchy and literally goes against the number 1 rule of customer service/account help. There is something wrong with the security of your websites if that is how employees get access to your account. Anyways, they made a new sign in system last month and it has so many security flaws. It is also just confusing and i have gotten different info from multiple employees about the new system. Very Bad.

Slowest most inconsistent internet I have ever seen from over 5 providers in my life.

Borderline theft.

Multiple speed tests had me sitting at 5-15 mbs and constant total outages for 30-60 minutes multiple times a day. With an 80/mbs plan. We then upgraded to a 300 mb/s plan and still experienced the hours of outages, not to mention I was only getting on average 20 mb/s download from over 20 speed tests. We called in and had someone check what the issue was, they changed some wires and upgraded our router which was a bandaid on the issue. Internet started to show signs of hope as some devices started getting full internet in rare spikes while normally sitting around half of what is being paid for. Most other devices in the house are wildly inconsistent averaging around 20 mb/s to 230 on a good day. This is with an ethernet cable directly connected to their router.

I have never had problems with internet providers until Westman. I do not recommend.

Was helped by CSSR Kayla. She was very friendly and not only helped me understand the breakdown of my bill but also went over my packaging with me. I have been with Westman for years and have always loved the welcoming service I receive whenever I come in or call. I was very disappointed with Westman cable as a newcomer to Brandon and Manitoba. Then a young man working there named Joshua went above and beyond to help us get our internet up and running after two previous times being letdown with complacency and plain laziness. Thank you Joshua, your a credit and great asset to your company.

However WCG has been a community leader for decades and has always strived to give our region a top tier experience. They may not be perfect but they are local and have always been good to me.

You have the worst customer service, I talked to a girl that referred me to tech support to see what channels I have and how to eliminate the ones I don't get on my guide. Tech support said I need to talk to customer service so they can tell me what channels I have, so talked to customer service and again she said there is no way to eliminate the channels I don't get from my guide and I would have to talk to tech support. She transferred me to tech support only wait on hold for 10 minutes or more and now here I am. Been a customer for over 30 years, I think its time to switch and try something new.

I wish I could give them less than 1 star, I decided to get the internet connection from them and it was the biggest mistake of my life ..... worst customer service ever. waited for a connection since 1 October and still, it's not working even after an appointment. Never ever get connection from Westman. MTS is the best.

You pay for a service that is only available half ...

You pay for a service that is only available half the time. You can be streaming videos when all of a sudden everything stops. You reboot your rooter, no change and then 20 minutes later you get full connection. It s always on and off. Even if you get the best package for your area, the connection is still poor. I have never seen a service provider be so unreliable. If you have the option to choose another provider, save yourself the trouble and do it.

Please make a wise choice and avoid this ethically impaired company unless you enjoy being treated poorly.

I recently switched to MTS for half the price and more speeds. I left westman for the following reason.

Through the busy summer it I forgot to pay to the internet for no lack of finances some of the months here and there. When I remembered i went to check my bill. I had to call to get my login info since they were not sending any emails or paper bills. When I checked it was overdue. So I called in to make payment arrangements. When i did I offered to pay the bill next week for half of the balance and the rest the following week. I was very rudely told no i had to pay it by the 22nd or they would cut me off and charge me a reconnect fee. In all the years ive had services i had never experienced that. So i asked to speak tp a supervisor. She told me none was available. I left a voicemail shortly after about my services complaining about how i was treated. The supervisor said she couldn t help me and actually they were cutting me off that day and not the 22nd. I had already switched to mts for the 22nd.

5 minutes after the call i was disconnected. Even tho i was told that would happen if n the 22nd unless i paid the full bill right away.

Essentially i was cut off by the supervisor in a highly unethical manner when i was fully willing to pay the bill in full. In fact could have done it the same day. But due to how i was being treated and for other reasons i wanted to make arrangements. By and large this company is unethical and it s employees corrupt and immoral. Do yourself a favor and stock with MTS. A company that cares about you.
