Be careful - they break the consumer law of nz by automatically rolling the contracts for an extra year - without informing the customers after the 3 year contract end period - stating its in their terms and contracts - and try to lock in their contract by force . None of these terms are given to the customers who sign .

Just go to a reputed provider if you need eftpos - dont go to scammers like this company .

Moreover they offer a 6 month free term and add it to their 3 year contract and call it 3.5 year contract - i have written to the authorities about this already .

Very poor. Lied to about other service provider. Then manipulated into 48 month contract and told even after 3rd year no way out.. a year since last machine use.. when I said I would publicly name company for unethical business practice the woman on phone smugly told me "I get threats like that every day" and snickered at me. Poorer than poor AND A VERY BITTER WOMAN NAMED LEONIE ON THE PHONE, I'M GUESSING VERY ....VERY SINGLE..

Just in regards to another review on this website, it doesn't matter what EFTpos company you are with, if your power goes down, you will not be able to use the machine. Smartpay is an excellent choice, their customer service has always been amazing in my opinion, sometimes the wait can be abit long, i've been in the queue up to 35 minutes but i understand that a good business has a large customer base and can often be busy with other calls or customers. I always get my problems solved, and if one person can't assist me, there is always another person who can. Would definitely recommend.

Be very careful with this company. They roll over contracts without any notification. Not even a simple courtesy email letting you know your term is coming to an end. Now I am stuck with an EFTPOS machine that I don't need and I am paying a very monthly high rate for as they didn't even give me the opportunity to change my contract or term. Very disappointing business practice.

Absolutely terrible. No Consideration for anyone but themselves. out to take every cent they can, even off the little guys trying to make it in business. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. VERY POOR ETHICS

Never had any issues with them. Always get to your enquiry quickly but you don t need to constantly have enquiries as everything runs smoothly anyway

They have worst service please don t go with them. I spoken with the lady Anna she was not supportive and they can t fix your problem on time. For our new store they send us the faulty eftpos machine and next time they have not send us Ethernet cable. So, we waited for the eftpos machine for 1 week.

AVOID !!! Be very careful of the small print and the automatic YEARLY roll over of contracts with this company once your initial term comes to an end. After 6 years a client, absolutely no empathy that my business is actually closing down due to the extreme difficult months we've had over lockdown, instead offering a lesser amount tied into a new 36month contract (how is that a solution?) I am now left with a massive cancellation debt as they do not even send a courtesy letter out to let you know your year is coming to an end and then it automatically rolls over for a year. Quick to sell and waive fees when they trying to lock you into a new contract. Would not recommend them at all. As for the generic answer below that was received, it is the same to every complaint of the same nature. This company has absolutely no customer service skills. Stay away

I would to pass on very special thanks to Simon Blom and Chris Paterson for their outstanding customer service, they saved the day and found a solution to my huge problem in a few hours and it was the weekend too!

What a failure. Didn't send us our new EFTPOS machine until 2 days before the mandatory PAYMARK upgrade date of 30 April, and it still cannot activate. 2 days after. Cannot take payment in our business. And call centre all blocked up. Just a crap experience.

Been using their service for 6 months. Very smooth sailing so far. Replacement machine arrived the next day by courrier for a machine that went faulty. Quick response team great service.

More expensive than all the other providers, unit works intermittently, poor battery life. I've pent hours on the phone to the call centre. Giving up now and going elsewhere. Absolutely terrible service and quality of product.

Eft-Pos machine goes down because of small power outage. Ring Smart Pay and I am on hold for 9 minutes and 56 seconds? Then I am told that due to outage the machine cannot be fixed over the phone? We have to wait till some time the next day until we receive a machine that works, luckily we have not hit peak tourism season yet. I try to get it the same day but to get a new machine 2 hours drive away is going to cost either $200 fly or $300 drive?
We live in a city and for a company of this size not to have support in another city close by probably needs to be addressed.
So the one star reflects below par maintenance of machines.
We are currently looking at other avenues we can go down to get better support service

Hands down the worst service provider I have to deal with. This year I've lost count of the machines that have failed. It takes an eternity to get issues sorted. Manager's don't call back. As soon as I'm off contract I'll be getting away from them. Do not use them.
