Pretty basic Westin. Was disappointed in the complimentary breakfast for high status members here. Rooms were nice. The gym is spacious with plenty of equipment and a large pool. Not very good views from here though.

I'm giving two stars for the rooms they gave me. Apart from it the internet, parking costs gazillion $$$$. I thought it'll be inclusive of all and end up paying more.
My wife and I came here for our anniversary and were not disappointed! Premium room has gorgeous views of Battery Park skyline and service was top notch. The food- whether dining at the lounge or ordering room service, was excellent. I will certainly book another stay here.
Being a business owner myself, I do everything I can to not give any negative reviews on any others. However, what was supposed to be my first real vacation in the last several years turned into a nightmare because of this hotel.
Four days and $800 should get me a great hotel. Instead, I was woken up two days in with a "test fire alarm" that they supposedly run every month. They couldn't tell us in advance? Later that night, the person in the room next to me had a loud TV.
After calling the front desk to get someone to address it, nothing happened. I went down to the lobby and they told me that there needs to be at least two complaints before they get checked on. After that, they said they couldn't do anything since the person wasn't answering the door. You can't call their room?
Nothing was done other than the front desk worker giving me a new room. Fine. However, hours later after little sleep, I go to the front desk and someone new was there and she was extremely rude and condescending. She kept saying "yeah" halfway through what I was trying to explain. Their website said they had free WiFI and when I get in the room, I get a page on my computer that says it's $9.99 per day. Really?
In conclusion, this hotel just wants your money and care very little about what others are doing in their rooms. I mentioned all of the issues above at those times and nothing was done. I don't care about getting refunds or free stuff. It was obvious that the security working overnight did not care about how I felt. And again, I own my own business. I care if someone is upset if there is something I could have done to make it right. There are two other hotels within a few blocks of each other that you should go to. You may have better luck there. My experience here was at best, miserable. Also, be careful about what's on your bill. I'll never go here again.
A great place to stay for a few nights. The rooms are modern equipped and it's easy to get from the Hotel over the Hudson to Manhattan. The only Thing that's missing is a breakfast buffet.
Nice hotel with very comfortable beds. With a little luck you will have a slightly angled view of Manhattan. (Room numbers with a small number at the back e.g. 804) Nice mall, path and lots of restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity.
Very nice hotel! Especially the location overlooking Manhattan is great! Great pool area, good parking and right next door a shopping center where you get good food. Subway station to reach quickly.
Very nice hotel, with a great atmosphere. It is also a great place to meet NFL players during football season! Staff is nice and friendly, and the hotel is very clean. I would certainly stay here because of these reasons and the fact that it is easily accessible to NYC.
A bit pricy and no complimentary internet -except in the Hotel's lobby...- but clean, comfortable and greatly situated. Super nice staff, extremely attentive.
It's an amazing place to stay near NYC. Amazing rooms, spacious, great location, great view. I had booked a Junior suite with a king bed & a sofa bed. It could easily accommodate 4 adults. The sofa bed was of the size of a queen bed. Highly recommend.
Nice hotel, a little expensive compared to other hotels in the area, can't believe they don't give a bottle of water for the coffee maker and you need to buy it at the little hotel store.
Great Hotel, great location, beautiful view from rooms. Not very big, but very comfy. The service in the hotel could be improved, other then that had a great stay.
When we checked in along with a group that had an entire block of rooms they had none of the rooms ready and forced us to wait an extra hour and a half when everyone was checking in at 4:30 which was already an hour and a half after regular check in time. Poorly managed and no one working cares. The entire grouped was forced to get ready for a wedding in the gym locker rooms
Got drinks at the bar with some coworkers, beer variety was appalling and one bartender was very rude, but overall the atmosphere was nice and the scotch menu saved the day.
Nice but they make you pay for wifi which is rediculous. This is an absurd buisness practice when hotels are already so expensive and is simply greedy and unecessary.
Absolutely lovely hotel but the front desk had nasty attitudes for no reason. I have NEVER stayed at an hotel with people working there having bad attitudes. I even work at The Ritz Carlton and it s absolutely unacceptable. It was the Latina woman with short hair who works at night and the woman named Justine with short hair who worked during the day. I am so disappointed in my experience.
Kind of nice hotel, is an old building on a very centric area, it gets crowded on the peaks hours, mall is close, you can even walk there, no parking.... you'll need to pay for valet or park behind the hotel, not cheap to park in any case
Good hotel, nice rooms. The food in the lobby is very good. There were a few small issues with my shower (slow drain, worthless curtain, etc) but overall a very enjoyable stay.
Comfortable and nicely situated one street away from the waterfront and public transportation. I was there for a corporate event, the meeting rooms were nice and the food excellent.
Hotel is highly recommended. The Heavenly beds very comfortable. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Big Apple in the evening, the hotel is just right. In a short time you are by train in the heart of New York. The Westin offers a pleasant stay.
Original Review: 5 Stars ---I've started at several of the JC hotels and NYC,.and I'm a current JC resident. This is a great hotel. I highly recommend it. It's quite nice, not really family hotel. Seems more like a higher end, and or business clientele.
Updated Review: They charged us for 4 days of valet parking when we only used it one day. Now have to dispute it. Urgh...
Had a corner room on the 14th floor with a view of New York and the river. Outstanding service from the staff. I would also recommend the restaurant Fire and Oak.
We sat outside the restaurant (Fire & Oak) and it was insanely noisy with the lightrail and the garbage truck. Inside is a diff story though - nice place and good staff.
