I wanted to share my experience purchasing a 2019 ...
I wanted to share my experience purchasing a 2019 Camry from this dealership on 12/20/2020 in the afternoon. We did not look up pricing for this car which had an unbelievable low price on the lot. The price of the car was $13,700, and we ended up paying $18,632 due to taxes and exorbitant fees. When we tested the car it had not been detailed and the tires had some miles on them. Our sales rep Julie who did everything she could to get us the best deal advised us of the condition and features of the car. Mr. H flat out lied to us. He stated the tires were replaced and the cost of reconditioning the car was $2,400 plus a $995 Doc fee. Also he stated the bank charges them a fee so this is his way of justifying $3,600 in dealer fees. Let me tell you a bank will kick them back some kind of bonus if we keep the loan for at least a couple of months. The rate our son received was twenty percent and a bank or any big investment firm will be happy with that kind of return. Now that high rate is no fault of the dealership but you can bet they will make money on the financing which Mr. H. began to have a disagreement with me on. Now just let that sink in for a minute, $3,600 in dealer fees which is pure profit. This goes for everyone one of you looking at purchasing a car. We need to find alternatives to this kind of bait and switch. They really deserve one star but Julie is an All Star and because of her I am leaving it at three stars. You should steer clear of these big dealerships. I realize Honda and Hyundai down the street are playing the same game but does not mean they are the only options. I was involved in purchasing three cars in 2017, and they all had fees, but they were less than $1,000. Where do we go from here $5,000 to $10,000 in dealer fees for what. Not a thing was done to this car but listed on some sites and cleaned that's it. Not happy at all and the only reason we did the deal was my son really wanted the car, if it was me I would have walked and never looked back. This was a horrible experience and anyone who thinks this is ok, it's not. If you see a response from a manager read it carefully, which I doubt it because they can just bury this one with glowing reviews from folks who just have no clue about financing a car. Maybe these big law firms need to step in and get this under control. A very sad state of affairs indeed.
