One of the shoddiest firms ever created. Not a single customer service rep will provide a direct line to anyone or reveal their name. Supervisors promise to call with information or further guidance and do not do so. The same question appears to have several answers. Numbers change from day to day. I had a policy with them for years. They cancelled my policy, took the entire cash balance and didn't tell me until 3 months after they had done so because they mis-posted my premium.

This place is a scam. The recruiter lied & said they bought out my Life Insurance & to put in a new application. I did but the rate was higher then my current rate. It took several weeks to get a refund check in the mail.

This is a Great company. I've had my policies with them for 4 years and I've never had any problems. The agents come around every year and they review my benefits. Great Company, they also offer Cash Value I highly recommend this company.

A con agency. We haven t had insurance through them for multiple years then all of a sudden a representative dressed in extra casual attire knocks on my door at 715pm asking to talk to head of household. The head is not home because they work, so I take the message. I take name and number and the gentleman furthers to carry on with his remarks about his various attempts to get in contact with us and then makes a wide claim that brings me to write this review. He clearly set a awful representation of the company. We will never, ever, do business with such a shameful company that shows no regard to any human decency. It s just awful that in such a short conversation with this gentleman I see that this company s ethic and standards are non existent. I greatly encourage any onlookers to greatly invest time in searching for an adequate insurance company for there have been numerous wrongs that this company has done to us on the farm and this was the last straw. UPDATE: it is not appropriate for a representative to stop near a former client s house at 900pm. No one likes to be stalked out.

My dad had a life insurance policy with Continental which was purchased by Washington National. When he died and my mom submitted a claim, they insisted that dad didn't have a beneficiary designation and we'd need to hire a lawyer. When we pointed out the designation on the policy, they simply quit talking to us. I guess they can talk to the State Insurance Commission investigators.

My wife's disability claim was rejected after she broke her leg. The adjuster stated her injury wasn't incurred how she described, even though it was supported by three different physicians. This company will not be there when you need them.

The worst customer service . My husband recently passed away from cancer, Washington would not pay for any services he received. We have been paying for this policy 20 or 25 years. I can t even talk to a person so I can cancel the policy.

The brochure sure looked nice. Customer service is a joke. We will not renew. 7 years of premiums down the toilet. Over a 16 months trying to resolve a problem.

We have had great experiences from day 1. We started this policy at a young age 21 to be exact. I recommend this group!

Having worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years (property/casualty side), I was hoping for a better experience after having to file a claim. Their representatives are impersonal, eager to pass one along to someone else, and just rude. Please consider other options before deciding to go with any Conseco company - Washington National, Bankers, Colonial Penn.
