About Jcca
JCCA is a non-profit organization that has been serving the needs of New York's most vulnerable children and families for over 190 years. The organization was founded in 1822 as the Hebrew Benevolent Society, and since then, it has evolved into one of the largest and most respected child welfare agencies in the country.
At JCCA, our mission is to ensure that every child we serve achieves safety, permanency, and well-being. We believe that every child deserves a stable home environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential. To achieve this goal, we offer a wide range of services to children and families throughout New York City.
One of our primary services is foster care. We work with families who are interested in becoming foster parents to provide them with training, support, and resources they need to provide a safe and nurturing home for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Our team works closely with both the foster parents and birth parents to ensure that each child's needs are met while also working towards reunification whenever possible.
In addition to foster care services, JCCA also provides residential treatment programs for children who require more intensive support due to behavioral or emotional challenges. Our residential programs offer a structured environment where children can receive therapy, education services, medical care as well as recreational activities designed specifically for their age group.
We also offer preventive services aimed at keeping families together whenever possible by providing counseling support before problems escalate into crises situations requiring removals from homes.
At JCCA we understand how important education is for every child’s future success; therefore we have an educational program called “The Miriam & Arthur Diamond Educational Center” which provides academic tutoring along with college preparation assistance so that our youth can achieve academic success despite any obstacles they may face at home or school.
Our staff consists of highly trained professionals who are dedicated to helping each child reach his/her full potential by providing individualized attention tailored specifically towards meeting their unique needs. We believe in treating each person with respect regardless of race or religion because everyone deserves equal opportunities regardless of background differences.
In conclusion: If you're looking for an organization committed to making a difference in the lives of New York's neediest children & families then look no further than JCCA!
