Washington First Mortgage Review

This is my best experience in a refinancing process ever. Jonathan Cruz was very professional and was very prompt in responding when I needed to ask questions. I was impressed how quickly we signed docs and closed on the loan. If all the loan officers in this company are like Jonathan, then this company is a "well oiled machine".

I was referred to Chi Nguyen by a real estate agent here in Wenatchee, WA. I was a first-time home buyer and absolutely clueless about the whole process. I contacted Chi on a Saturday night, because I had just found out that the home I was interested in was about to get an offer from someone else. I needed a pre-approval letter. Chi promptly responded and was ready to help me out. Due to the stories I had heard about getting home loans, the rates, hidden fees and many of the negative aspects that occur, I was pretty skeptical about lenders. The first house did not work out. Regardless Chi did everything quickly and professionally. I dropped the agent I was using at the time who referred me to Chi, and I began looking at other homes with a different agent. When it came time to get serious about another home, I contacted Chi to get a quote, but I also talked to a bank about my options. As I said, I was without experience and wanted to learn as much as I could. The person I talked to at the bank required A LOT more for a down payment, and the rate was higher. This made me wonder what Chi was hiding for his quote to be so much better. I compared the numbers side by side and researched what each fee was. As far as I could tell, there were no hidden concerns, but I knew the truth would come out in the end when the final numbers were drawn up.
I think it was about this time when I asked Chi if he could meet up with me, and he told me that he lived in Kirkland! To my surprise, everything was done quickly and professionally, without a hitch, so location made no difference. I found the house I wanted, and as soon as I was going to put an offer in 2 more people decided to as well. I lost the battle to someone else who must have had a better offer, but within a few days of it going pending, the deal fell through and I put in an offer before anyone else had the chance. I offered a higher number than I had previously and shortened up the closing time to only 25 days! It all had to happen very fast, and Chi was always ready and efficient. The offer was accepted, and we closed on time with no problems at all. What is even more amazing is that I had to put less money down than what I expected, the rate was unchanged, and no hidden fees were added. I couldn t believe how much better the rate he had was, as well as the amount down. Even the agent I was working with was shocked at how good he is at his job. She said that she will definitely refer her clients to him in the future.
Chi and I actually became friends through the process. He is very personable, and never made me feel like I was asking stupid questions. He answered me with a thorough explanation that was easy to understand and made me feel like I could call him anytime if I needed anything else. Chi Nguyen really knows his stuff when it comes to mortgages. Buying a home is scary when you don t know who to trust, but I got lucky and had the opportunity to work with Chi. I am fortunate to know him. He was always good at reminding me that buying a home should be fun, exciting and worth it once it is all done. I literally enjoyed the whole process from start to finish. I received a couple letters in the mail, I threw them out with all the other junk mail, finally one day I gave them a call and left a message with the receptionist. Soon thereafter Jeff Ladue called me, introduced himself and listened, I repeat, listened to what my goals were. I was already in contact with another loan officer at a different brokerage, but Jeff seemed like he was genuinely interested in helping with my situation.

The whole process in refinancing my house was so effortless and seamless on my part, I could not have asked for a better loan officer. The rate and the savings Jeff found for me was not even close to what I could have imagined I would get.

Jeff Ladue was very realistic, straightforward and experienced. He was very communicative and always there when I needed questions answered, even at 11 o'clock at night.

Had an excellent refi experience with Andrew Ortega. Since this was my first refi, I had a lot of questions. Not only was he super patient, but Andrew took the time to really educate me on the process and provided a thorough analysis of all the options. He also got my refi done at an amazing rate and quite quickly, which was extremely impressive given that everyone in the state (and probably the country!) was doing a refi at the same time.

I have purchased, sold, refinanced probably 20 transactions in my life. I cannot think of one that was better managed than my recent refi with George Runnels. George was incredibly attentive to all of the details and went as far as to personally hand-carry an item we couldn't handle as we were off the continent and near our deadline. Real attention to all the steps of the process and always mindful of a great customer experience..

My partner and I recently purchased our first home together directly from the owner. We did not use realtors. Zach provided excellent and engaged services and ensured a seamless process throughout. He was great, and always available to answer our (many) questions even when they probably would normally have been answered by the buyer's agent. We got a great rate and everything felt pretty transparent and Rich and Kelli worked hard to make sure everything went smoothly and we got what we signed up for.

I was referred by a friend to Tryg Satterlee. I had a excellent experience getting my home refinanced. I am self employed and he was able to get approval on a refinance at rates I wanted that another very experienced mortgage professional was not able to. I highly recommend Tryg and would do business with him again.

Mary did an excellent job fighting for what we needed and deserved. She went above and beyond explaining things to us. She was amazing.

Rich Hunt helped us buy our first home. He was awsome. We could close the deal within 30 days w/o any problem. Actually it could have been within even 20 days. All the transactions were smooth. Highly recommend him!

Steve Klemaier successfully negotiated a good mortgage rate and package with Ethos Lending. It was his first time using them . It was also our first time and I would not recommend Ethos from a good customer service perspective. They were difficult for Steve to work with and consequently difficult for us as well.
Steve, however was very patient and worked through the whole difficult process. Even though Ethos Lending was not very broker or customer friendly, the ending result was good. They sold our mortgage to Stearns before we even made the first payment.

I just had another great experience with Seth Milasich. This is probably my 5th or 6th time working with Seth and again he has been a pleasure to work with. We had a few hiccups during the process that were outside of Seth's control. He took the time to help me navigate the issues and get us back on track. I would recommend Seth Anytime!

They made everything so fast and so easy. I would definitely (highly) recommend them to anyone that is interested in their services.

Steve Klemaier assisted my husband and I with our first home mortgage and helped us to refinance a year later. We had many factors that made our transaction a little more complicated in terms of documentation and paperwork - Steve guided us through the process and was present at the signing of our first mortgage. Jeanne was fantastic to work with from start to finish. Upfront, she explained everything in an extremely clear, complete, and fair manner. When we were selecting a specific loan, she was extremely responsive with rates as they changed throughout the day. Finally, when the County threw us a curveball 2 days before closing (ultimately delaying closing by 2 business days / 4 calendar days), she was all over it, making sure everything came together as best it possibly could in the circumstances.

And of course the rates we were offered were extremely competitive!

I like this mortgage company because it offers a lot of loan options. I just want to warn future buyers about one of its loan officers - STUART ERICKSON because of what happened to my clients:

Believe or not, Stuart mistakenly used a single family home address for my client s condo purchase (the addresses are not even similar!!!). This mistake made my client unable to meet their closing date and in turn blew my client s interest rate lock! To keep the same interest rate, it was going to cost the buyer over $3000.

The nightmare didn t stop here:

Instead of covering the buyer s cost due to his careless mistake, Stuart avoided dealing with the problem altogether by telling the buyer your loan is done here and pushing my client off to another loan officer in a different company.

Stunned by happened, I talked to Stuart and he said I have no sympathy for the buyer, because the interest rate is still at all time low.

My buyer ended up losing this purchase (their first home).

Randy Szabo is the best. He helped me with refinancing VA home loan and he was very fast and accurate. I would like to work with him again in the future. Thank you Randy.

Both Don and Todd did a wonderful job. Keeping us informed all along the way. Making sure that we didn't have any questions and we understood what the process and procedures were for our VA loan.

I've delt with 4 other mortgage brokers in my past, but they don't even come close to efficiency and timely process like Randy Szabo. I have used Washington First Mortgage twice for a refinance and would use them again because of the ease of the process and expertise.

Received the WORST possible customer service from your agent ERIK AMES. He was very rude, arrogant and selfish. I applied for the refinance 3-4 weeks back. For the first 2 weeks there was NO RESPONSE from him. Then I sent him a reminder and only then he started working on my application. Even then, he MADE MISTAKES in the application (wrong loan amount, rates, etc.) for which I asked him to make corrections. He then SUDDENLY BAILED on my application (4 weeks already into the process) giving excuses that I am not valuing his time and that he has other clients. By then I had already invested a lot of my personal time into the process with this agent and was taken by complete surprise.

He also ACCUSED me of FALSE allegations just because I asked him a few simple questions to conduct my due diligence on the clauses that I was signing up for, to which he gave WRONG answers. He used HARRASSING language such as (in his words on emails to me) "I d have fired you if I had 0 loans in process" and "You re inability to understand the process is evident despite how many times I ve explained it to you". He used INAPPROPRIATE HASHTAGS for me in his emails such as #entitledbrat #growup #byefelicia and even mentioned that I am following "flimsy standards and morals" in my job.

I have worked with many lenders and brokers before who have been very professional but Erik has been the worst. I feel sorry for his other customers who have to work with him. I am glad I saw his true colors early and now don't have to deal with him. He exhibited unjustified bias, unprofessionalism, and harassed me with false accusations. I don't know why he chose to personally attack/target me.

I would request Washington First mortgage to take immediate action on this, because no other customer should go through what I have suffered.

Zach Shelly (Broker) Went above and beyond to put my tough deal together. We had a lot of twists and turns on my end but he walked me through every step buying my first home. I got an excellent rate and we were able to close quickly. I will be sending all my friends and family to Zach for their mortgages and home purchases in the future. Wa First Mortgage has earned a life long customer!
