I want to go zero stars out of spite but that wouldnt be accurate. Its a nice hotel and prime location. The service kills this establishment. After my previous review was deleted I had to analyze why. While honest, it was an unnecessarily scathing review of the hotel building vs the staff. The building is still in need of maintenance and upgrades, leaky faucets and malfunctioning ac/ heating units. The hotel as an establishment offers what it offers. (Read the fine print) but the staff makes the experience horrid, particularly the Assistant General Manager. Keep your tip money and put it into staying at another hotel.

It s a sad hotel with glorious past and perhaps a glorious future but a very bleak present.

We were welcomed into a gloomy pulp fiction-like room with leaking ceiling and dim lights that made me contemplate the meaning of my existence.

The hotel staff gave us a different room right away, a better one, but still it had evident signs of neglect.

The three stars are for the location and the grand past.
I hope it s just the pandemic that killed this place temporarily and it ll bounce back soon.

Chose this hotel because it has a beautiful facade and is a higher end hotel. Booked a premier suite with 2 double beds and a living room. Was expensive ($2600 Cdn / $1900 U.S.) and I expected quality. The staff were great as they quickly came to fix the issues with the toilet, mirror, iron, etc. But then we encountered 2 cockroaches in our room, and had to ask management to move us. Then, in our new room, which was noticeably nicer than our first, the smoke alarm battery ran out and started beeping, waking us up at 2am and keeping us awake for over any hour. We asked for compensation from management, and had to demand a fair resolution. So, great staff, not very good management. We travel frequently to New York and will not stay again!or recommend to our friends.

It's my first 1start review in my life! The worst hotel I ever had! Old and dirty! Go and see if you don't believe me::) I spent $200 per night but it not even worth $50. The room just look like motel room! I can't believe it's 4stars Hotel!

Staff was kind and attentive, rooms were clean. Unfortunately our shower didn't drain properly, outlets weren't very accessible in the room (needs to be modernized) and just general updates needed. Good location and price keeps them in business.

Loved the architecture of the building. No coffee pot in the room. No hair dryer. Mattress worn out. The service in the restaurant was the worst. Both times my order was wrong, and the second time, they charged my credit card with some else's meal. The wait staff acted like it was inconvenient to wait on their customers. $1600 for 6 days for a hotel room that was not top rate...sad! The management needs a wake up call on these issues.

Stayed here over a week on a personal trip. Room was large for NYC standards but only maintained to an average standard with sloppy painting, loose power sockets and someone's old guests clothes stuffed behind the safe. Lobby is small and gets crowded as the lifts are slow but it's an old building so that's not awful if you are staying here recognising that. Bar is quite dated too but, again, infitting with the building style. Breakfast was good but pricey unless you can eat a lot at that time of the day. Staff very nice and more welcoming than usual in NYC. Great location for exploring. Would stay again but make sure to book direct as they offer good value with the Warwick club

Had a great weekend at the warwick, awesome service and great people. Thanks to security Frank Claudio, Robert from concierge, Danny Aguilar, and the lovely Mrs Denise, along with the restaurant staff for thier awesome top.notch hospitality.. the room was excellent I would definitely return for another stay... Thank you to all staff at the warwick..it was a pleasure staying there... I wold recommend this place, very close to the heart of the city times square.

The rooms are a bit old. Nevertheless, the hotel is ideally located, close to all major attractions and right next to the Central Park, where you can do nice runs.
All in all, this hotel is perfect with such a long tradition!

Came her for the holidays. Front desk staff was okay at first, I m sure they were overwhelmed with the holiday check in rush. The days after they were very sweet and welcoming! The room was beautiful. There was not a view where I was but I didn t come to NY to stare out of a window I came to explore. Didn t get to try their breakfast buffet but it looked great. The restaurant they have connected to them has the best champagne I ve ever tasted in my life. The elevators can fit maybe 4 people and a few luggage s, just be aware they are limited and can take a while (I know this is not the owners fault as this hotel has been here for a while).

The place is clean and classy, I liked the classic look of the interior. The location is great. But you'll see that in new york if you're close to subway the location doesn't really matter. The personel were not that friendly. It is also very overpriced which was important to me. So all and all a good place but I won't stay there again. Did you know they don't let you keep your own stuff in the refrigerator? It has a sensor and everything!! I think that's ludicrous.

Do not recommend this hotel. We have a one year old and requested early check-in. Not only were we not granted early check-in but they forgot to let us know when our room was ready for regular check-in. Luckily our daughter started to make a lot of noise in the lobby as we were waiting and they remembered us. Later we needed a recommendation for a kid friendly restaurant, but the concierge was too busy to give us one. For breakfast one morning we got our baby oatmeal and fruit from the hotel restaurant. It cost a ridiculous $25 dollars but that's not the worst part. She got food poisoning and was throwing up all day. We had to get some clothes and her blanket washed due to the throw up and it cost over $50 dollars! Then just to put a cherry on top, house keeping threw away our daughter's spoon. The elevators are also painfully slow. Don't stay here, but if you have not other choice, use the service elevators. They're behind the regular ones.

My wife and I would never stay anywhere else. We love the historic charm of the rooms and the absolutely fantastic service. They just don't do hotels like this anymore. Everyone is trying to be too hip.

Overall a nice experience at the Warwick!
3 stars because central air didn't work and there wasn't a duvet cover. However the room was clean and quite large!

If I could give no stars I would. I booked several months ago and was given a total charge that I would have to pay upon check out. When I checked out I was charged the amount that was said. Not a day later there is a second $354 charge pending to my account that is being explained to me as a hold on my card for the stay. Seeing as to how my obligation to pay my financial duties has been fulfilled this bogus explanation is unacceptable. The charge started pending AFTER a checked out. Doesn't add up. Upon requesting for the charge to be reversed I have been passed around to numerous different people who don't have an answer and now am being hung up on before even saying hello by front desk staff. To be called a luxurious hotel, this is not my idea of a high standard. I will become this hotels worst nightmare until this is handled appropriately. Aside from the HUGE financial issue, I also had zero water pressure in the room, requested additional pillows and blankets and 3 hours later had to call back and ask for them again because they still weren't brought to me. Buyer beware unless you don't care to have hundreds of extra dollars being spent by this "luxury" hotel. Book somewhere else.

Hotel is gorgeous and swanky but far to over priced and fitness Center is a joke !!!!! So dated and slow lifts are over crowded a lot of time in morning

What a disappointment this hotel was. Kind doorman, lovely lobby, and then it ends there. Too many negatives to list but most of the staff here would benefit from a lengthy course in basic manners, much less customer service. Will not being returning.

I have been going here to RANDOLPHS Bar for years. Today was the first time we were not offered nuts or chips at the bar to snack on. When I inquired I was told they were not offered until 5pm and it was only 4pm. When you are paying 39.20 for 2 drinks , I think it is incredibly cheap not to offer something to snack on. I was rudely told if i wanted something there was a menu I could choose food. My husband and I might have stayed for another drink but with her attitude we left. I did speak to the manager upon leaving but he just said he would make note of it but I knew it would go no further. You have now lost 2 customers and I will advise anyone else i know not to go. There are plenty of bars in that area to choose from...we don't have to settle.

The room was big and fairly clean, but there is not much restaurants to choose, the building and the hall is really old, so if you don t like the classic style this is not your spot, the most annoying thing for me was the view in my room, there were a big wall facing the window room so I caieven see the sun in the morning, it was dark all the time which made me feel blue a little bit specially in the morning

What a beautiful place to stay. The Beatles liked to stay here back in the day. It's very expensive, but for something special, it's worth it. We stayed in a one bedroom suite that was elegant, and as big as some NYC apartments. The well, worn, phrase, "you get what you pay for", is more than apt for The Warwick. It's my favorite luxury hotel in NYC.

A must-have New Yorker, this typical New York boutique hotel transports you to the feel of John dos Passos, or Ed Feingersh and Marylin, offering the luxury of the big apple for a price you could imagine more above.
The service and the staff are largely worthy of the standard of the hotel, the rooms ... suites, the breathtaking view.
The place of your New Yorker dream.
One of my favorite choices in NYC when my benefits allow me.

I stayed here during a quick business trip to NYC. The location is fabulous, the room was clean (although a bit small), and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. The bar downstairs is great for not only for drinks and business meetings, but the food was also decent.

I do not mind to pay when it worths, but I can't avoid to get upset whenever I am not previously informed of the exact price I'm going to pay.
And, being totally sincere, after my stay in this hotel, I felt fooled.

Warwick Hotel New York is very well located. It's elegant, has classics facilities but perfectly maintained. Cleaning, of course, impeccable. The personal is very profesional and helpful. Maybe breakfast needs an improvment, given its price but, well, it's Midtown Manhattan... but, at the tariff you agree to pay before travel, you have to add a mandatory charge called "Facility Fee" ($25/day), than covers access to Internet Wi-Fi (despite the fact that during the conection process you are repeatedly informed that the conection is free...), local calls, access to gym and bussiness center... even if you never use those services and facilities.

Last day, when I received my invoice, I got to the front desk and asked about it and the personal informed me that those fees are only not charged to members of the loyalty program, and only if they made the reservation via their own web page. Due I'd reserved in a Travel Agency, they will not give me the money back in any case.

Well, would I had selected to stay at Warwick Hotel if the tariff had been $25 more expensive?... probably, but these are not manners in a hotel of this category, and among many ways to fidelize clients, make them feel fooled is not the most recommended.

Great older hotel, still has its charm. Very large rooms, much larger than I expected. Great location. Small elevators, considering we had bags plus a baby with a stroller but we made everything fit. Close to central park and good places to eat! Very convenient location for our needs.

I moved up from Tribeca to Midtown to hide from the blizzard. Clean, friendly staff. Excellent location and the price was beyond fair! It was simple to walk to Broadway and catch a show; just a few blocks from Rockefeller Center, St. Patricks, Central Park! When it's well below 15 degrees, (inclusive of the windchill)...being in the middle of it all is critical. When your two day trip turns into an unknown amount a days (5 nights total), price becomes really important - but comfort was not sacrificed.

This review is for a Thanksgiving Parade view room. We paid a lot of money to get a parade view room that we were told by their reservations person was fantastic . It was not fantastic. It was far from fantastic. The windows are small and you had to smush up against them to get any kind of view at all. Plus to make it worse the paint was falling from the ceiling (pic included).

In general we love the hotel and location. The history and vibe of it are wonderful. The staff however was a bit hit or miss for us; some very nice, some who definitely shouldn t be working in hospitality. One of the plus elements was they did greet us with a nice welcoming gift that was appreciated.

Location is fantastic and the price was reasonable - the room was a bit worn especially noticeable was the fraying lampshade in the room but it wasn't by any means unsatisfactory or anything. It was decent. The area is fantastic though, this hotel is right in the heart of midtown by Central Park and near everything you want.

We checked in Friday night and arrived in our room, after a painfully long elevator ride. When we stepped in our room, we were blasted with 80 degree heat and only one working outlet. 5 hours later, at 10pm they switched us to a better room . After our LONG elevator ride down to the 11th floor, we walked into our room. Still painfully hot, so we called management whom eventually fixed the AC about mid-morning on Saturday. Then, Saturday night when we turned on the shower, the shower was clogged. We called managment at 11:20, no one came. Called again at 11:40, he said the guy would be here in 20 minutes. SO IM PAYING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO SHOWER AT MIDNIGHT? Very poor customer service and disappointing rooms. Would recommend to stay down the street at the beautiful London Hotel, MUCH better.

The hotel is centrally located, making walking to various points of interests easy. The hotel room is nice, flat-screen tv, desk for work. 3 days of free WiFi, the bed is comfortable (king). Bathrooms are nice, new toilets and good showers. No mini fridge. Paint on the ceiling is cracking.
