We never received a billing statement. They tried calling me and leaving multiple automated messages which had nothing to do with the amount of money we owed or even the fact that we owed money. When I called the number back to find out why I was receiving messages, the lines were always busy and another automated message told me I had to wait for a representative to talk to me. I gave up after three or four tries. A month later they turned the claim over to a debt collection agency. If they had just sent us a written statement to begin with, we could have paid it right away and avoided all of the hassle and worthless calls. The actual service was fine.

My husband was taken to wake med with a ruptured AVM he was doa placed on life support and three months latter walked out the hospital praise Jesus for that
Our child was born premature at 27 weeks. I honestly can't imagine he would have received better care anywhere else. The doctors and nursing staff were beyond amazing throughout the entire experience. I can't begin to recommend them enough.
I have received all of my healthcare at WakeMed and have had nothing but great experiences. The staff is always professional and takes the time to make sure all of my needs are met. I'm grateful for the care I have received at WakeMed!
This hospital would receive a 4-star rating from me if they didn't have racists on their staff... but they do. I visited the hospital on 3/10/14 and has unfortunately had to deal with a racist Caucasian female nurse. She was cold and slightly dismissive to my partner and I as she settled us an emergency room and it made the visit unpleasant... what a joke. But this is the south. Can you really expect any better from Caucasians down here?
All the nurses and Doctors are very friendly they are totally doing there job.. the only thing that I really dislike is the food that they serve in the hospital for their patients no flavor not good at all I have to get use to it cause I'm gonna be here for a while .. but besides that the room is clean every day service.. everyone is nice..
The staff at Wake Med on the 4th floor for mommies was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. They genuinely cared about my sister RoRo & when we did have an issue the charge nurse came in and made it right without hesitation. They were real, comforting, giving, inspiring & even took time to share their stories & tips about being mothers. It was a very heartwarming experience to say the least. You can tell they weren t there for just the money & genuinely enjoyed their jobs. Audrey, Paris, Christina, Saundra, Becca, Shelly, Nellie and Debra just to name a few, THANKYOU. I truly believe the babies are in gd hands &&& I know you ladies are doing the best so they can come home healthy. We appreciate you and wanted to give a shout out for the exceptional experience.
The level of care is excellent. All staff is caring, friendly, and very knowledgeable and competent. I would rather be here than any other hospital on the planet.
Not a good hospital if you are in pain they dont care about you there and they are very slow.I would not tell anyone to go there for good and fast service for pain. But they charge your bill sitn in lobby waiting
I've never seen a hospital run like this. I always thought doctors and people in the medical field are supposed to help people. Not hinder them. It only takes 1 single minded doctor can have the authority to keep someone captive like a criminal. This person is not allowed to even pee without someone watching. All because of 1 persons opinion. Of we all know everyone is always right especially doctors. (sarcasm just in case you are a doctor at wake med. I know you people are kinda slow. They have made this hospital a prison and is going to ruin this person's life. Oh and the kicker... He's been cleared but won't discharge him. Its bull. Its all about the all mighty dollar. The more people they screw over they get paid. If you love you're family refuse wakemed. There staff doesn't care about there patients. They rather have social time in the hallway. I urge you to never come here. I don't care if I'm dying never bring me to wakemed...
My experience with Wake Med has been terrible. This hospital has displayed poor service among the community. I came to the hospital with my roommate who has been sick all weekend long. We arrived at the hospital at 10pm Monday night. My roommate was called to the emergency room around 12:30am. I called my roommate just to get an update on her and she tells me that she has been waiting in the room for nearly 2 hours before she has been seen. I finally had the strength to ask someone at the front desk " why is it taking so long for someone to see my roommate?" The front desk personal replied and said " let me call the nurse station in the back. Once he did that I sat there and called my roommate back and asked her have you been seen yet? My roommate replied and said " yes they did a five minute examination and left the room." The time is now 3:23am and I am still in the hospital with my roommate. Im currently in the waiting room along with our other roommate. The emergency room is not crowded or filled to capacity so why is the service so terrible here. We are all college students who still have classes to attend. I myself have an 8 am class. The time is now 3:30 am. My roommate who came along with us has a 7am class. We have been at the hospital for almost 6 hours. The examination has been a total of 5 mins and I'm still here. Overall the hospital has displayed poor service. There is no communication here. This hospital is not effective at all. I would not recommend this hospital to a soul. We attend Saint Augustine's University and this is the closest hospital center to us. We will not travel to this establishment anymore.
Super clean Hospital with friendly staff. Great cafeteria with a wide variety of healthy food and a unbelievably good price. I loved our experience there.
We visited the emergency room on April 5 and they still didn't update the dry board in patient room so we can know who is the doctor or who is the nurse since April 3 !!!!! They are very professional ????
In June of this year, I suffered a minor stroke. Family took me first to WakeMed North Emergency (the "women's hospital"); after a CT, I was transferred to WakeMed Raleigh Campus, as North did not have an MRI machine (??? - do women not rate one of those?)
Both campuses provided professional, thorough, top tier, kind and compassionate care.
There are a couple reasons, though, that this is a 4-star review and not a 5-star review.
First, what's already mentioned - no MRI machine at the North Campus. I'm sure there's a valid financial reason for this but I do have to wonder that if this facility had been geared towards men instead of women, that there probably would have been an MRI machine installed there. That's just my opinion, though.
As stated, I was transferred to Raleigh Campus mainly for the MRI, but also due to my pre-diagnosis (stroke), which would have to be treated there (my assumption).
The MRI went smoothly for the most part; the MRI staff was good but not especially attentive - several times I told them that I needed support on my left side, yet I still was able to fall when transferring back onto the transport gurney (pretty much just slid off the thing due to a lack of support on my weak side).
I spent one week in-hospital in Cardiac and received excellent care. The staff of 3E are not only highly competent, but caring, resourceful and compassionate. The care I received went beyond professional, especially the nurses and nurses' aides - there was a personal touch to it and I will remain forever grateful to them for taking such good care of me. They made sure I was safe at all times and went to extra effort to explain my medications to me. PT staff as well was awesome.
One sour note is the food. Now, hospital food has never been haute cuisine, certainly; and there are a host of logistical issues to deal with in order to deliver literally thousands of meals - 3 times a day - within a certain time span. But . . . ugh. The meals off of the standard menu arrive cold, delivered by unsmiling, mumbling employees who won't meet your eyes. As far as I could tell, everything tasted the same - like some kind of "soylent green" stuff that's simply molded into different shapes depending upon the day of the week and the time. One breakfast I had, as a side dish, a biscuit & gravy that I literally couldn't cut. I mean, bread covered with gravy, soaking in it, and I couldn't cut it!
Best option is to have family members bring your meals in from outside the hospital, but few have that option for every meal. My hubby stocked the room up with muffins and such, and family members brought a few meals in. Second option? Order off the other side of the menu. It's a PITA because you literally have to call someone daily (and be prepared for a little pushback if you're on a restricted diet), but I found that by calling into food service I received hot food and larger portions, plus being able to eliminate items you wouldn't normally eat (such as turkey bacon or chicken sausage - bleh!). It would be great if you could use an app to make those changes because there are times when the kitchen is rushed and they're a bit rude when you call in.
But aside from the food, I can't praise enough in regards to the medical care. They made sure I was progressing, patiently answered my questions and addressed my concerns; were kind to my family members and celebrated every step forward I made.
Had a pleasant experience despite my circumstances in pre-op and recovery. Except for one inattentive nurse in my last few hours, all staff were extremely prompt and caring. Facilities were clean and nice.
I waited at the emergency room for one hour and half with a lot of pain in my back I had heavy bleeding bc I lost my baby and them don t give me any attention, every drunk person was before me, I felt discrimination because my primary language is Portuguese. If you are immigrant don t go to this emergency room. I told to the triage person I have pain stage 8 she doesn t give attention I had changed my pads two times and still nobody comes I just left there and they cut my bracelet so easily seems like get out of here. Bad hospital supposed give attention for patients that s why they study and work for
We had a good experience in the medical ICU, until we were forced to move to another hospital. Select in Durham. That place was a nightmare. THe docs and RN at Wake are top notch. We should have never lefr here. Thank you so much for the wonderdul care.
They operated on me and then kicked me right out. IMMEDIATELY AFTER I WOKE UP! I could barely move let alone walk. They didn't even give me any expectation of what my condition would be so I could make proper arrangements like having a wheelchair ready or having someone around to take care of me. I hurt myself pretty badly trying to get back to my apartment. I live alone and haven't had the strength to get out of bed. I would have liked more information about what to expect and how to prepare for recovery.
Sallie was an amazing Ap she helped me and reassured me all was going to be ok. Everyone else was awesome! Very professional in the cat scan room and the gentleman in The MRI. Thank you all of you for making my stay the most comfortable
Use at your own risk. There is no communication between the staff and patient. Appts are made, not by myself or my primary Dr even though the office said my Dr had scheduled the appts. Etc. ad nauseum. You get me back in there at gunpoint.
The emergency room was nightmarish in the 2 visits that I had 4 days apart. The time from emergency room admittance and being placed in a room was approximately 9 hours on each occasion. Sadly, if I had not been released with no resolution to my condition and surgery been done on my first visit the second ER visit would have been unnecessary. Due to my intense pain on the 2nd visit, after waiting in the waiting room for 2 hours, my wife asked the desk if I could get a bed until someone could help me. I was put in a bed in a corner of the ER and completely ignored for a couple of hours until I asked for a bag for vomiting. Again with ZERO acknowledgement, I was given the bag until I started vomiting uncontrollably 2 hours later. Then miraculously, a bed opened up. I had open surgery in the early morning of the next day.
I visited WakeMed ER at Falls of Neuse location. I requested my medical record for that visit. After I got the print out copy, I released that there was mistake - doctor wrote the wrong days of how long I had taken my previous prescription. I required the nurse and a staff member Sarah to update doctor to correct it. They said they would but not promise doctor would do. I explained that I need the record with right information. Sarah further took away my personel medical record and refused to give back to me after my several requests. Sarah stated she would not give back though it is my personnel record, refused to explain to me the reason and asked me to leave immediately. I explained to her it is my personnel medical record and I need it. She called police expel me out of ER without give me my personnel medical record anyway. As a patient, I have never been treated so rude and unreasonable. This is a violation to keep patient's private medical record by force. So frustrated that they treat patient in this way!
Terrible. When my grandmother was laid up after surgery no one changed any bedsheets or pillows for a week. I always had to ask for clean gowns. She had to ask for dinner. Everyday I came in there and had to help her clean up and get her teeth brushed because no one else helped.
BEWARE: Poor communication between nurses and family. Poor communication between doctor and family. Doctors are rotated every several days so if your patient is staying a week or longer you'll have several doctors with different opinions and communication style. Nurses on floor 5A are of little help to the family buy maybe better help to the patient. Had food being delivered to the room of a patient that was not approved for food days ago and would actually be a danger if it was eaten. Took over 24 hours to have an eye drop prescription filled for a patient in the hospital with clearly dry eye difficulty and I could go on. Next time its UNC or DUKE. By the way, if you want the surprise of your life, go to the basement of WakeMed. Its an absolute filthy dump.
I gave birth to my daughter on nov6. The whole crew was excellent helping me thru the labor and i want to thank them all for their understanding and hard work! Out of all the nurses and doctors, i remember Casie the most! She is outstanding and so sweet! I was in room 4C31. Luckily my whole time staying there also her 3 days working. I hope i wasnt much trouble for her lol. Shes just so bright everytime she comes into the room! Thank you again Casie youre the best!!! Keep up the good work! I meant to leave a thank you note. Hoping this would reach to her and the team. Ps: i like the meal delivery service but just funny how i order hamburger but only got the topping no bun no burger
Incredible care from the nurses after having my baby here. Every one was so prompt and caring. The chocolate muffins at AuBonPain were the best I've ever had.
My sister had her baby here on 10/27/19 he passed on 11/1/19 if I could give 0 stars I would my sister is a Registered Nurse and she kept telling the staff that something wasn t right with my nephew her son they ignored her like they always do nonchalantly and my nephew passed this is not the first time that WakeMed as neglected children and people s concern I know plenty of children who have died because of this hospital it s ridiculous my nephew life was cut off due to negligence
I want to thank Dr Allen Marshall for saving my life after my accident I'm so thankful for WakeMed in Raleigh this is the best hospital I've ever been to . I miss u Dr Marshall a whole lot I hope u have a good summer and I'll always remember your smile and how good of a person u are I mean that from the bottom of my heart . Sincerely your Patient, Kendall Warren .
Very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism in ICU Cardiac Section. I will not hesitate, if I every have to return. WakeMed Dr's and nurses work together with excellence, providing a seamless service.
My wife had scheduled C-section on the 12 we new it was going to be interesting having a baby with Covid-19 but that is just iceing on the cake. Hospital has poor communication and has gaps in the safety of you and the new born baby and mother will never return to this hospital. Some staff good some bad but in the end it's just like our government the powers that be only care about lining their pockets
I absolutely love WakeMed! I've only visited the Raleigh location with my 2 kids for sick visits around 18 times with both kids over the last 10 years. The doctor's and nurses are fantastic and very knowledgeable! Everyone was caring and wonderful. However, if WakeMed could only work on the waiting time. In one occasion when my son was 2 with a really bad fever I waited 2 hours to be called in for vitals. I ended up leaving the hospital. I also agree that the billing is extremely high! WakeMed is a bit expensive in my opinion. Furthermore, in health care WakeMed is awesome!
My 84 y/o father in law had his knee replaced and said it was the best decision he ever made. Dr. Hanson from Wake Ortho is amazing and patient doc who really made this experience great. Well done and thank you! He can now go on a trip back to the Philippines to see his family. We had amazing recovery care and even met the VP of nursing Chantal Howard who spent time with us and made sure we had amazing care!
While my daughter was in intensive care the nurses did not reposition her head while she was on a ventilator and she has the worse pressure sore on the back of her head. What is even worse Is I her mother was the one who found it. She is having to have wound care and this was 2 1/2 months ago. Home health nurse has never seen anything like this before. The wound doctor does not know if her hair will grow back. This is a large sore at the very back of her head. We are not going to this hospital again.
Very little medical attention walking into the ER on a weekend with broken nose. Ended up with a $550 bill out of pocket for no real treatment and 2 hours of meaningless wait. Have worked in ER myself, could do much better with the level of care or commensurate charges for what is delivered to a patient. 4 different folks walked in every 20 mins and asked the same questions repeatedly. Isn't there a file to look at after the first round of medical history and current symptoms? Anyway, obnoxious charges for just a tetanus shot and nasal spray just because it was delivered in emergency room? WakeUp WakeMed.
I'm at the hospital with my mother 3rd time this month. My mother says this is the best hospital she has ever been to. The medical staff is on point. John Redeker the RN attended to her needs. Nice tattoos! It is clear that he loves his job. Ashley Pitts is also her nurse. I just want to thank you for treating my mom with such care and kindness.
This is a TRAUMA hospital. People complaining about long visits in the ER obviously don't understand that. People coming in with gunshot wounds and strokes that the other area hospitals don't want to treat take precedence over your little tummy ache. Go to Rex if you don't want to wait for the guy who took a shotgun to the head!
The Labor and Delivery staff and facilities are amazing! We had a great stay and met numerous wonderful people. Brittany our delivery nurse was awesome as was Katie our recovery nurse!
Nurse Pam and aide Sophia on the 5th floor were OUTSTANDING in their care and concern for the patient. Hats off to both of them for jobs more than well done!
The wait time to find out what's wrong with you is absolutely ridiculous. I'm sure the staff are overworked and the hospital is incapable of handling the growing population. I also got irritated because 2 different times people brought in food and were eating it. I saw Kentucky Fried chicken dinners and the other was McDonald's. I was sick to stomach going on 3 days, and the last thing I wanted to smell was food. I walked to the bathroom and saw somebody sitting in the bed eating a fried piece of chicken! Really?
I almost walked out after waiting almost 8 hours, but I stayed. A very nice nurse made a good argument to stay. The medical team went above and beyond to try to help me. I will Always go to WakeMed, I don't care if I pass out in the parking lot of Duke, send me to WakeMed.
Was sent from urgent care to Raleigh campus to look for a blood clot in my lungs. With hospital bracelet and fall risk bracelet on I was told by police officer outside that I needed to park over in garage and walk over. Remember, fall risk. I left and drove to North campus because I didn't know what else to do. Called the Raleigh campus to let them know that this had happened and also because the dr. had called ahead. First lady was apologetic and could not believe this happened. Put me on hold and the second lady could not have cared less. Told me I should have called 911. I WAS IN FRONT OF THE HOSPITAL! If I have a blood clot, they will be hearing from a lawyer in the near future
Had to go to the ER earlier this week. They wanted to do a CT scan. I asked how much it would be, since the last time I went to the ER 6 years ago I got a $2500 (after insurance) bill afterwards, most of which was from the CT scan.
They couldn't tell me how much it would be, but that they wanted to do it. They sent in a financial case manager to walk me through payment plans and options to afford the CT scan. She behaved exactly like the closer they send you when you're on the fence about buying a car. She couldn't tell me how much a CT scan costs, either. Her words: "Nobody really knows how much anything costs until we get the bill back, not even me."
So I called the billing department. Had to leave a message. They called back 24 hours later, after I had already left the hospital, and they said a CT scan, before insurance, costs about $5300.
I went to a specialist for a followup afterwards and told my appalling story. They were shocked. They charge $300 for a CT scan, before insurance.
+1 star for the staff and nurses who helped with my speedy intake and initial treatment. I hope they share CT scan commission with the nurses who actually deserve it.
Wake Med has really deceived there patients. They have patients wait over 2 hours to be seen that are in severe pain in their stomach from a procedure. They take back drunks that are in detox to be seen before legit patients. Not only does it take almost 3 hours to go to the back, they put you in a hallway with other patients. Then leave you here to wait and not even. E seen. They need to be audited and be shown the right way to take care of the patients and put the right patients in first. They told my wife that she wasn't seen because she was here for a fever. Shes here for burning in her stomach and still hasn't been seen and we've been here for over 3 hours. Hope nothing is seriously wrong or wake med will know. It's now 5:07 p.m. and we have been here since 10 a.m. My wife has not seen a dr and now they are trying to give antibiotics and they have no idea why. What the hell is going on with Wake Med Raleigh. I will never visit this wake med or bring anyone else to this hospital. The nurses don't even want to be here and are all over the place and doesn't even know what's going on with the patients.
On last Sunday night, my 83 year old mother wasn't feeling well and asked that I take her to WakeMed. I took her to the emergency room and we were seen almost immediately. It was later discovered that she needed a stent due to blockage in her artery. She got the best care ever on floor 3A! Thanks to Dr. Sinden and all the nurses, nurses asst, and the entire staff there. They were all professionals and treated my mother, Mrs. Alexander, like she was the only patient in the hospital. On behalf of my family, we would like to thank everyone for their love and care. She is home and is doing well. God bless each and every one of you at WakeMed!!
My son was just hospitalized for 3 days and our experience could not have been better. ALL of the staff from housekeeping, maintenance, nursing staff, social worker, patient transport, etc. were all amazing!!!! As a nurse myself, I know excellent medical care when I see it. I was very very impressed!
We've had both our children at WakeMed. The physicians we dealt with have been pretty good. First delivery was great from a physician standpoint and the 2nd was just ok, it took the doctor way too long to arrive once my wife was ready to deliver. In fact, she had to stop pushing the baby and it basically popped out as the doc came in the room. The biggest disappointment was the facility and the post care. The rooms we got (both during delivery and post care) had peeling wallpaper, dirty floors and were in a general state of neglect. Speaking of neglect, while the nursing staff was always pleasant, they were almost always slow to tend to the needs of my recovering wife. There were several times where no staff showed up at all after requesting assistance. I had to chase them down in the hallway. Also, the food was barely edible - it reminded me of meal from my poorly funded middle school.
All the nurses are so warm and welcoming! The service was amazing and Very happy I came to this ER. They are the best and highly recommend this place!!
We took our son to the Garner Wake Med ED facility for a small cut on his head that happened during a HS basketball game. We should have gone to the urgent care but it was after 8p.m. Our son was treated on a stretcher in the hallway with superglue on the cut. The nurses and doctor were OK but the bill for the visit was $1600.00 before insurance and over $700 after the insurance. The facility fee is +$350.00 and the ED doctor is the same. I will never go there again.
Not worth the cost. I have filed complaints with the state attorney general and dept. of insurance.
This hospital is a joke. If you don t have a life threatening matter, go to UNC Rex or UNC Chapel Hill. My daughter was admitted, and the doctor recommended her be transferred to UNC Chapel Hill because WakeMed did not have the proper staff and resources to treat her. We were billed for an outpatient procedure (which our insurance covers less of than an inpatient procedure) even though she was admitted to the hospital. I will not go here again unless I don t think I can make it to a UNC hospital.
I have been in the hospital for four days and the staff are awesome. I don't feel like I am being rushed, i feel they are genuinely trying to find out what's wrong. I would recomend this hospital to anyone needing cardiac care.
I and my family would like to thank all Doctors, nurses , technicians, aides, chaplains,& cleaning people for their care, compassion, and expertise in care of our son Peter Emig. He was in the cardio vascular ICU room 208.He fought hard for 16 days but now has gone on to a better place. Thanks again for all your care and compassion your logo says it all Exceptional People Exceptional Care. All of you will be forever in our prayers. Thank you John &Diane Emig & family night
I went to wake med because I was spotting & I was pregnant but wasn't due until a couple days. They immediately took me up & got me a temporary room until mine was ready. This was my first time ever having to go to the hospital for anything but they kept me calm even though my blood pressure was up & made sure I had everything I needed & rushed every time I needed anything. They are very helpful for first time moms like myself & I recommend this hospital to anyone because they are great at what they do!
The hospital and staff here are A-MAZING!! We are so grateful for them and for the wonderful care that our child received during his short stay! They are unbelievably kind and amazing with kids!! If I could give them 10 stars I would!
I took my son in to check for a concussion after falling off of a playground. We checked in, and waited just short of 2 hours to be seen. We were seen for about 10 minutes while the Dr. did a physical check of his head, and we were released. I just received a bill for $955.40. This is an abomination! In what world is this okay?
Thanks wake med, you've helped bring my mom Ellen Hare back from almost death several times, she loves the nurses & doctors & yes even the food, people need to stop & think, your not God but his helpers, she's almost 89!!
In the last year, I had a few admissions for various reasons. Each time, the staff, including physicians Dr. Lars Gardner, Dr. German Dy de Joya, Dr. Adam Purzycki, and Dr. Timothy Garner, physician assistants, neurological ICU nursing staff, post neurological ICU floor nurses, nursing assistants, lab technicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nutrition and cleaning staff were all caring and friendly. Can you tell I really liked everyone and wanted everyone to know I felt what they do was important and appreciated their care.
I would highly recommend WakeMed Raleigh campus to everyone for excellent care and compassion.
This place should literally be rated in the negatives. I went in to get an abscess removed and the person named Adam literally finished in less than 5 minutes. He had to make an incision (which was less than a 1/4 inch long and not to mention that he didnt numb me good enough and i felt the initial cut), squeeze it out (making sure nothing was left), pack it with gauze (through a tiny incision) clean/ sterilize it, and cover it. Then a few days later i to come back in because it was not getting any better but worse. They then put me on IV's and transferred me to a different branch of wakemed. I then had to stay there for 3 days waiting for surgeons to come in and do it correctly. The surgeons treated me well at first and got the procedure done with a 4 inch incision and covered it. But this is where the bad part comes in: The next morning when the surgeons came in to change the gauze, they did not moisten it so the dry blood would release from the wound. Instead they proceeded to peel it off, with me screaming in pain and begging them to stop. but oh no, they keep going. Then when i leave the hospital, a couple weeks later i get a bill saying i owe $791, when i was told my insurance covered everything. I wouldnt go back to this place if i was dying, because honestly they would probably just make it worse. rather die around friends and family then a bunch of assholes that dont care.
Wake Med went above and beyond to give excellent care to our family member. From the ER staff & doctors, Dr. Harris, Dr. Buzan & team, CICU staff, 6th floor Ortho staff, our sweet aide Savannah B. to the quick acting hospital security, CARE and excellence have been our experience. They have communicated effectively and efficiently with always a listen ear and team approach problem solving. During a time when the local news media is reporting average scores for this facility we have had above average CARE, concern, and communication. We are grateful for every person that has cared and served us in this facility. We have truly been tended to with healing care. You all deserve 5 stars!
My wife was taken here for surgery. The anesthesia team failed to explain what she should expect, and ignored her questions.
Miscommunications were frequent from arrival to discharge. One of her doctors tried to explain her condition, without having seen her CT scan. The surgical team never informed the nurses when she was to be taken down to surgery. Overnight, her IV drip ran out, and I had to track down someone from the nursing staff twice before it was restarted.
Forget about scheduling a follow-up appointment or getting a referral elsewhere -- after three days of calling the number we were given, we've yet been unable to do so.
I was hospitalized with extremely high blood sugar levels and diagnosed as a T1D this past week. I ve never been hospitalized but I can say that this is an incredible hospital. We were treated so well and cared for so well. Our nurses were patient and kind and gentle and the doctors answered all of our questions. Choosing a new insurance plan and making sure Wake Med is included because I hope to only go to this hospital from now on.
