I purchased a 8.5x24 ft enclosed cargo trailer with many customized options a couple years ago and I spent almost $10,000 on it and even after getting a discount on it I have had numerous problems with it, the side door leaking, the side door latch swelling up when it got hot. Too many problems to list. I would never ever buy another trailer from Doolittle again I will take my business elsewhere. There is nothing they could say or do to change my mind about this review.

Absolutely hands down the best trailers built! I have a 2006 Doolittle 10K Xtreme Equipment trailer that I bough new and still own today. I have serviced it and kept it clean, but I have used (and abused it at times) it to no end and it has provided me with absolutely trouble free service. Yes, these are more than the 'China' steel cheapo trailers, but the old verbiage of 'You get what you pay for' applies fully here.

Nightmare with dump trailer hooked up to newer trucks. 2015 Chevy 1-ton duramax. Driving in these newer model trucks that warn you with a bell and driver display saying trailer disconnected, then trailer connected. Did it 10-15 times every mile. Drove me insane. Doolittle and dealer both throwing arms in the air. Was looked at by dealer and never could find any issues. Was told by Doolittle s tech support the new trucks use ohms not volts in the electrical system. What? I have many other trailers and none of them ever cause the truck to send a warning signal. I started in on it myself. When I wiggled the brake wires on the back brakes it would send warning to the truck. I cut the back brake wires and the problem was gone. Test drove the truck and no more warning. I pulled off wheel and hub on left side. Found 10ft of wire inside a 6ft axle. Excess wire stuffed in axel. Wire over time rubbed the coating off the wire and was grounding causing the problem. Cut old out and put a 6ft piece in. Problem solved. I didn t replace the front axle yet. If it starts doing it again that s the first place I ll look. Ohms?

I bought two of these enclosed cargo trailers; 12' x 6', gray and nice looking. One was bought in 2007 and the other in 2008. At that time I truly believed it was one of the best trailers built. Now today 4-12-16 I have one of these trailers has rusted out so bad that the axle broke off the frame and the square tubing has complete rusted out around the frame and you can stick your hand up in the square tube.....I have nothing left......trailer is shot and I can't even sale it. Too top it off Doolittle warranty department won't even give me a call back!! A very disgruntled customer. Zero Star Rating!

1/14/17 I Have owned many trailers over the years but of them I still own my two Doolittle trailers a 10ft single utility and a 16ft duel utility. Both have been excellent trailers they have provided 20 plus years of break down Free service and I use my trailers week in and week out. Other than regular maintenance (Bulbs, grease, tires & Brakes) I have never had an issue with either one. I would buy another in a heartbeat but I think ill be passing these two onto my kids.
Pros: overall a very Durable trailer, rough saw Oak floors were standard 20 years ago and have lasted the test of time stored outdoors. Top quality axles and brakes. Strong Fold flat expanded steel gates.
Cons: Keep in mind my trailers are of early 1990 vintage
Paint of 20 years ago faded quickly outdoors. (Paints today are much more durable)

What we ordered was not what we showed up, I should have not let them talk me into keeping what we received. We have had it about four years and hinges are rusting out of the side door. The heater never worked right. It leaks water. You will never get them to look at your trailer or fix what is wrong with it. For a 14k trailer is was very poorly made. No quality control or service. Lets see if the people that gave their trailer 5 stars still think so when they have had it for 4or 5 years.

Bought a new trailer that had a small issue. The team at Doolittle got together and made it right with me. It s nice to have an American made company that stands behind their product. A+. I would recommend this company if you are wanting a well built high quality trailer. I looked at several trailers before finding this one that didn t come close to the quality for the money. Is there cheaper trailers? Yes, but you get what you pay for. A cheep made trailer.

Totally AWFUL service. Ordered replacement bearings for my trailer straight from the parts/service dept. 10 days ago. They took down my name, mailing address, phone number, charge card info. and I waited on the phone for the card to go through. He said everything went through fine and was all set. I haven t heard from them, item NOT shipped, and still waiting for parts. Called their number a number of times..... now it just rings. Not even an answering machine. Just rings and eventually disconnects. And I need the bearings to take to a local shop in 3 days to prepare for a month long / over 3,000 mile round trip hauling the trailer.

BUY BEARINGS ELSEWHERE. ABSOLUTELY NOT RELIIBLE!!! ACTUALLY, BETTER YET, STAY AWAY AND DO NOT even buy their trailers either. Bad customer service..... DON T BUY THEIR PRODUCT.

FIRST EXPERIENCE DEALING WITH THEM...... AND THE LAST!

DO NOT....... BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!!!!!!!

Bought a 6x10 enclosed cargo trailer. Came with radial tires, a wood floor same as used on a snow machine trailer, everything about it is well built and heavy. 3/8" plywood walls inside instead of luan as used by others. Even the safety chains are heavier than others. It has sat out in the rain and not a drop inside.

I am glad I spent the extra money on the Doolittle trailer over a different less expensive national brand.

I bought this 6x12 foot enclosed trailer in 2006. It is still going strong. We use it all the time. It has never, ever, let us down. Doolittle parts department people are great to work with. I thought trailers would eventually start leaking. Not this Doolittle trailer. It's still leak free. When I upgrade to a larger trailer, it will be a Doolittle trailer. Thank you for a great product and we will be back!

Fantastic trailer. 26 years old and still holding strong. Had a bit of an issue with getting new tags for it, but Doolittle made good on their end and I am now very pleased with all aspects of this company. Thank you for your help.
