Voyager RV Review

Our buying experience with Voyager RV was a pleasure from our first contact with Jordie Dunsmuir. We spend the winters in Mexico and drive down with our RV, which last winter happened to be a camper on our Dodge dually truck. We had a series of bad experiences with the camper on the rough, narrow roads of the Baja. Passing big trucks and climbing in and out of it was a pain. We had made the decision to stop farming, so the truck was no longer needed and it was time for a change; we started to look at what our next rig was going to be. After a lot of research on the internet and looking at other RV's, we settled on the Winnebago Travato which we thought would suit our needs. We contacted Voyager RV by phone about a Travato that they had on the lot and spoke with Jordie. He sent us a video of it and it was what we were looking for. We were worried about buying an RV site unseen, but Jordie gave us a good price for our truck on trade and guaranteed the price if it was as described by us. There was also a sale on that week in which Winnebago was giving a $1500 discount and Voyager RV also had a number of incentives to offer. We were still concerned about going ahead with the deal, but Jordie was reassuring, and I'm somewhat impulsive so we bought it. When we got home from Mexico we took the truck in to trade and Voyager RV was good on their word. Everything they promised was delivered and then some. The exchange was carried out quickly and we received several gifts etc. that were not mentioned at the time of purchase. We drove away very happy and have now enjoyed our new RV for several months. It is everything we wanted and more. Thank you for your professionalism, knowledge, experience as well as excellent service. It was a pleasure doing business with Voyager RV and Jordie Dunsmuir.

Looking for a great deal and honest, prompt service! Then don't come here. We came all the way from the Lower Mainland, for a scheduled appointment, to check out an RV that we had expressed interest in buying. We were given (in writing) a trade-in value for our 10 year old trailer only to be told on arrival (after we had been waiting for 1 1/2 hours) that are trade-in trailer needed some very serious repairs, at a cost of at least $6000 (and of course, they were doing us a favour keeping the repairs to a modest $6000). We were shocked! But you wanna' know the worst part? We had our trailer inspected at another dealership and guess what; there wasn't a single thing wrong with our trailer. So glad we went somewhere else; got a brand new trailer and a great deal on our old (and perfectly good) trailer. Heads up dear consumer, if you want to deal with a respectable RV dealership that values integrity? Then don't come here.

5. No other fees other than the low purchase price and taxes

I'm very pleased with the purchase of our Northern Lite camper from Voyager and I would recommend anyone thinking of purchasing an RV check in with Voyager before you buy, I'm glad I did!

Ian was excellent - he was organized, courteous, and answered any questions I had. I never felt like I was being pressured into buying a trailer. Sheila and Cindy were knowledgable and very efficient with the paperwork. Pat did a great job with going over how everything works in the trailer, and gave us some helpful tips.
Everyone was very welcoming at Voyager RV! (And they even let us bring our pup Hercules along with us, so he wasn t by himself in the truck)

Great place to buy a trailer just thought one terrific service

We traded our Jayco trailer in for a Forest River Trailer in the spring. We started out wanting to purchase a 5th wheel but came to the realization soon after, that the weight and size we wanted didn't suit our truck. After changing our minds a numerous amount of times, we fell in love with the trailer we purchased. Mike our salesman and management were awesome to deal with. We now have dealt with Voyager 3 times and would not go anywhere else. We highly recommend them. Mikes, an awesome salesman. Ask for him.

Had Voyager rv do a call out job for an awning replacement on our trailer. They charge $40 for the call out. Fine, np. Their hourly rate is $120/hr. Fine, np. 2 techs show up to do the work and are finished in under 1 hour. I find out later that it's $120/hr/tech. Ridiculous but whatever. The total for a 1 hour job with a $374 awning fabric was $1,045.08. To be fair, we were told the job would be around $900 + taxes etc. However, when I went over the bill, I saw that they had charged us for 4 hours labour at $120/hr. Only after I stupidly paid this outrageous bill was I told that the job is set in their computer at a flat rate of 4 hours, hence $516 just in labour. Why is a 1 hour job set to 4 hours??? Obviously they know that 2 trained techs with all the knowledge and proper tools to do the job can get it done in significantly less time than 4 hours. why should u have to pay 4 hours labour for a 1 hour job??? I might as well have just thrown $300 out the window. Afterwards, I called a few different rv shops and every one i talked to charges strictly by the hour for the same job. If i had known this to be how voyager operates their service department, which was not disclosed to me, I definitely would have went elsewhere. Hopefully this review saves someone out there the hard lesson I had to learn. Update: as stated in the response below, Voyager rv promptly contacted me by phone and resolved this issue. Hopefully in the very near future they will revisit their flat rate quotes to reflect a much more fair timeline for certain services and repairs. Outside of this particular issue, I have dealt with them a few different times and my experiences have been fine. Thank you for rectifying the situation Voyager rv.

The whole process was smooth and painless and the pricing they offered was just perfect. Pick up was quick and easy and we've already been on multiple camping trips. I have bought two trailers from Voyager over the last 10 years and as is normal with trailers they both needed a bit of warranty work over the first year. Seems like a normal break in process. On both trailers Voyager stood behind their trailers 100%. In fact, some of the work had to be done by service centres closer to my home and in both cases Voyager made the process simple and pleasant.

Even during the challenge of Covid they made the process manageable and helped me get the parts and work done as soon as possible. Kudos to Nikki at Voyager and Kyle at Cottonwood RV for their excellent help.

We were looking for a change with our RV. Met with Jordie and he got us great deal on
a new camper unit and on our used travel trailer trade in. The new set up fits our needs perfectly. The support from Voyager to take delivery of the new unit was excellent.

Outstanding service response by the team at Voyager RV. Heading out for the long weekend - and our fridge controls bit the dust. We recently purchased a pre-owned travel trailer from Voyager RV in Winfield. We were treated exceptionally well by all the staff and everyone was very organized and efficient. The trailer was carefully detailed and prepared for us and was ready when we arrived. Thank you Voyager team for making this such a smooth experience for us.

So my experience with Voyager was actually pretty lengthy, took a few months before I pulled the trigger, anyways, It started when I found out I needed a travel trailer for work, I started dealing with Ryan and told him what I was after and what my needs were, he was fantastic with helping me find options that fit my needs perfectly, the level of customer service was far beyond anything I could have expected, of course I shopped around and looked at almost every dealer in the okanagan going inside and chatting ect, however no one matched the level of no pressure sales, service, or overall kindness that the staff of voyager offered me. I even got a email from the GM just checking in to see if everything was going okay and if I needed any help. I was blown away, a few of the other dealerships blew up my phone and was constantly pressuring me into buying a brand new trailer and showing me items that wouldn t work for my needs what so ever, and some didn t even return my calls or texts. .. Ryan was extremely patient with me over the months from when we first started talking to when I made the purchase, even going above and beyond helping me after hours and even on his holiday! After all the options were on the table he suggested that because of my needs this 5th wheel would be perfect, and sure enough it was the cheapest one I was looking at so even better. The trailer has been great so far in my remote worksite running totally off the grid with very few hiccups, In my adventure with them I ended up meeting a lot of the sales staff, parts staff and even had a couple good conversations with the manager. The overall level of service and 0 pressure sales from Ryan and his coworkers is what made the sale happen. I would happily recommend him and his team members to anyone looking for a new or used trailer

Rob and all the staff were great! It was a stress free relaxed environment and I felt that there was no need to haggle for a better price because they have there best price right out of the gate.

Once the sale was complete Rob and the staff did there best to get the trailer camping ready and got me on the road as soon as possible.

If we could give Voyager RV a 6 star, we would. The service provided was exceptional!! We recently purchased a beautiful new "Grand Design Reflection" and couldn't be happier. Jordie- you are a rockstar! We ordered our unit online (after much online research) and were able to communicate our wants/needs via email, which was amazing (as we live in a no cell service area). The team at Voyager was even able to setup our unit with tons of solar, making all our off-grid camping dreams come true. We are ecstatic!

After doing months of research and knowing exactly what I wanted I called around to all dealerships close to me within 8 hour drive, none made me feel like the team (Deb) at Voyager did from my first phone call, very professional. I decided to drive past dozens of other dealerships and over 3000km round trip to buy from these guys and I have no regrets. Very happy!

It's over a year now since we bought our very first Tent trailer from you. You recommended the Oregon Coast and we just returned.

Had a fabulous 17 night stay visiting everywhere from Astoria to the Redwood forest in Northern California. We learnt so much and became experts at reversing, putting the camper up and down eleven times in all. Thank you so much for your recommendation.

One small issue which you may want to pass to Jayco. One o'clock in the morning and we are wakened by the propane / carbon monoxide alarm. We had the vent open and windows slightly open so it couldn't be CO, Eventually got it reset and clambered outside in the dark to turn the propane off whilst vowing to test every joint the next day!

1:55am and the alarm goes off again!!
Out of bed;"C'mon Annie, let's move your bed out of the way so that I can reset the alarm.". Note to self - Annie's bottom is next to the alarm and there is quite an aroma around her.

Could it be? Well she confirmed it once more on the trip! Seems propane and dog wind is chemically similar!

So, never let your dog sleep near the propane /CO alarm.

Our review comes in a bit late as we bought our travel trailer last year. Our experience with voyager was nothing short of amazing. The level of customer service was excellent and we are super happy with our purchase.

Kiel Kelly answered to our email and provided us with lots of helpful information and we never once felt pressured that we had to buy from them. We are first time owners and even though we were purchasing an entry level travel trailer, Kiel was still very attentive in helping us with all our needs.

Loaded with a ton of information and our own research we felt confident with our purchase. Voyagers pricing is also very competitive and came with everything we needed to be camp ready . Just about everyone we dealt with at voyager was both friendly and helpful from start to finish.

We do have some minor cosmetic blemishes inside the trailer but Voyager made note of this and said they would take care of it on our next service. We haven t used our trailer yet but we look forward to testing it out soon.

I dealt with no less than 10 people and was treated fabulously by everyone. Was I completely satisfied with how I was treated - YES.

Having bought a RV trailer AND a motorhome from them I was just told by there lot man that i could not park by the parts dept , not blocking anyone or in the way i would have to park at the entrance , being 70 and a walking problem, I WOULD NOT have given them one star but it"s the lowest rating , Would NOT recommend dealing with them.

My experience for a new Reflection Grand Design Trailer, 2018 has many defects that have come about and not been addressed by service department. I had my trailer delivered by their contractor and he backed up into a post at the RV lot and damaged the back left end. This has not been repaired and the issue is ongoing. Further the stabilizer one front side would not deploy. The awnings were not properly installed so have to manually assist to put down and they twist the canopy when going up due to uneven installation. The fridge light went out and now just runs on gas, until I can get this repaired. It seems one thing after another, the mobile service guy came out last Friday and just adjusted the stabilizer, nothing further. overall it appears sales are the push but customer satisfaction and service are lacking. The damage to the back end the Mobile RV repair service indicated he could not get the looks back to the original appearance when I bought the trailer. overall not very pleased with Voyager RV for a dealership and customer service. To me my worse fear has come true its all nicety for sale once you pay for the trailer you are in your own for service and followup.

Had a great experience dealing with Jordie at Voyager RV. Starting with the website where you can actually get great information for comparing units and options which is rare while trailer shopping. The transparency was refreshing and after comparing to local dealers down on the coast the pricing was considerably better. Jordie went above and behind sending me personalized videos of particular units I was interested in. He took the time to showcase features It had said were important to my family. He was quick to respond to any questions and worked very hard to earn my business. The delivery process very professional and informative. They really make sure you fee comfortable with the unit. I would highly recommend Jordie and his team at voyager RV! Thanks again for everything Jordie, I will be recommending you to anyone I know that s in the market!

Im the owner of A Best RV s and Voyager RV has reached out to me to assist one of their out of town customers with a furnace issue he was experiencing, I was able to assist the customer with the repair and it was all covered through Voyager RVs warranty department.

Writing this review in 2019 but we purchased our Jayco G2 in 2009. Great experience and been a great trailer. I really wish they had a bronze upgrade package for all the water fitting though. Cheap plastic aside still 5 star.

This is my second trailer from Voyager RV. My son and son in law also purchased from them. After talking with Deb my sales Rep in July she has kept in touch and always advised of any special deals coming up. So we made a deal with her when we were in Mexico on holidays. We purchased a Grand Design Reflection 300RBTS we just picked up on Saturday Feb 22. I can not say anything about the trailer other than I am blown away with how the build quality is compared to an other brand we had. What I can say is that our sales rep Deb Thiessen is very honest hard working and I give her Ten Stars. She will get you answers to anything you ask. Deb was away when we picked up and put us in the hands of another top notch sales rep Kiel.
My son picked up his trailer also same time and Kiel was his Rep. I think anyone looking for a RV you should do your home work If you can find a better deal and anyone offering better service I would be surprised and maybe shocked. Voyager will not forget about you after the sale if you have any issues they are there to help you. I have recommenced them to many people and will continue to do so.

Alex a Voyager mobile tech was dispatched to my house to take a look at my RV as it was blowing fuses off the battery. He took one look at the batteries and said instantly "I see what the problem is". The wiring had a fuse too low on it. (I never knew any better..I'm female) It was installed at voyager as I bought it brand new and wanted a second battery as my last rig had two so he never charged me a dime! What an outstanding guy (and good looking too) Good job on voyager for making him part of your team. He surely deserves a raise! Also a shout out to Ron as he offered to check my batteries for no charge. That's the way to make happy and repeat customers.

We have had a wonderful experience at Voyager RV in Winfield B.C. and would highly recommend purchasing a RV there! We have purchased a 2003 Topaz by Triple E and couldn't be happier with our purchase. We have owned a Triple Motor home before and we determined to get another Triple E. With internet searching we were able to find one in B.C. but we live in Central Alberta. Brian got back to us right away and personally took a video of the unit. He was very thorough and even went on the roof! We liked it but it had to go through the inspection. They did find a leak with the hot water heater but they fixed back to new condition. We received many extra bonuses as part of their Anniversary sale. All this service for an older unit, hard to believe! Thanks Brian and all the staff for your excellent service.

Having had a great experience to buy a brand new Jayco RV at this location, I don't even seen the RV before buying that, but our salesman did a great job and explained all the details over phone to me and record videos for us to make it easier for us to choose between models. Price also was absolutely the best possible price on the market. All paperworks has been done very smooth and quickly, definitely going back there to buy my next RV. I found the service terrific . I do have a recommendation and that is that the orientation video's include the workings of the Television system and the TV"s mounting system. It wasn't addressed in anyway and I think that was a shortcoming.

I feel a little conflicted as I write this review. Our salesman, Brian Biccum, was fantastic. He was so helpful through the whole process of buying our first trailer (a new Jayco tent trailer). We took it out camping and found several things that needed to be fixed, so Voyager booked us an appointment and the warranty work was very quick and efficient. However, both times we picked our trailer up from them (delivery and after servicing) it was filthy inside. We bought it brand new so expected more. And delivered it spotless (I hand wash the floors at the end of each camping trip) for servicing.

Not sure why you would text me asking for a review after 5 "wrong number" phone conversations. here you go. have a free 1 star review. Never heard of this company or used its service, just get spam calls from them.

Having the trailer ready on schedule, especially with all of our extra accessories installed, was fantastic. Having the distribution hitch installed, set up and ready to tow (while we were completing paperwork in the office) was something I was expecting to do but your guys did it all. Recently my family and I purchased our first camping trailer from Voyager RV. The experience and service from Voyager RV was above and beyond. Everything started from an ad from Voyager RV with the camping trailer we were interested on. We messaged and left contacts on the website. Just a few hours later, Jesse G. answered with a phone call and emails with video attachment of the unit. The day we decided to view the unit in person, Jesse came to the dealer on his day off to show us the unit. It was an honor to have someone so dedicated. On the deliver day, Jesse has some prior commitment out of town so he arranged for us to me Kiel who guide us through the delivery process. When it was time to met our trailer, Chris did the walk around and show us how everything work. Tips and pointers of maintaining and keeping the trailer in top shape were greatly appreciated from a very wise and experienced RVer. Because we live so far away from the dealer, Jesse, Kiel and Chris made sure that we know to call them if we have any problems with our unit. They made sure we understood that if something might go wrong under warranty they can arrange for a dealer closer to where we live to do the warranty service for us, so we don't have to drive 400km to have a minor repair done at Voyager. This is a no hidden fee dealer. The price you see is the price you pay plus the taxes on delivery day. All you need was to bring your tow vehicle with a hitch receiver and a brake controller. Voyager RV will hitch up your camping trailer and make sure everything work before they let you leave the dealer lot. It is really the best way to buy a travel trailer, RV, fifth wheel or what ever your heart desired. Thank everyone at Voyager RV who always acknowledged that we were there and asked us questions if we needed anything.
