Pools are cold and crowded. The family locker room is always crowded, and I can not ever seem to get my kids in the warm family pool because of the tiny window of opportunity.

Lovely place for both adults and children, swimming, gym and numerous other classes on offer. Staff are friendly and helpful. I love it , Highly recommended
I love the way Villa Sport is set up. There are many little areas around the gym that have everything you need for a personal functional workout: Mats, bosu, Stability balls, free weights, med balls, jump ropes, bands, kettle bells. The treadmills have a great view of the mountains. My kids love the pools and slides. My daughters swim coach, Jason, has taught her more in a month, than a lifetime of swim lessons. The front desk staff is always friendly. The locker rooms are clean and stocked with everything you need. The staff has always been very responsive to any needs.
This place has so much to offer with their monthly memberships. 2.5 hours a day at the kids club if you have kids, pools, hot tub, cardio and weight equipment. All in all, a very family friendly place with something for everyone
Terrible absolutely terrible I will say that I've never been to a gym that had such little class.... I usually attend Colorado Athletic Club in Denver and recently moved to the Springs, so I wanted to try this gym. The general manager was super rude and the whole vibe of this gym was RUDE. It was also very dirty and the machines were broken down.... definitely going to LIFETIME.
In all honesty I hope they open up soon where you don't have to make reservations for everything... Everything is booked out so far in advance already! It was nice when you could just pop in, take your kid to toddler time and work out.
Unethical management.
Be very careful. If it were me I would look elsewhere and am about to.
When I joined they told me that I had the choice of letting family members charge or not charge to my account. I was told that they could limit charges to 200 a month. This was my reason for choosing this place. This let my family be able to get a sandwich or water or... with in reason.
Last night at midnight I got an email telling me that someone on my account had purchased 552 dollars in personal training. Hmmm 200 dollars think not.
I called because this was certainly a mistake and got told not only do they not limit the charges but the 552 is non refundable and.... get this i only get 7 not 8 visits.
The place is nice about the same as Lifetime but has lousy hours in comparison and does not stand by what they tell you when you sign up..
I know this is a business. I know a contract was signed by a family member. I do find it convenient that nothing was sent to me about this even in email until the 3 day right to cancel the contract had expired.
So . Fair facilities. Lousy hours. If they told you they would limit spending in their facility they blatantly lied. Service while at the facility is about on par with the YMCA in my opinion.
I am going to go see my contract and If it is legit I will be there until those sessions are used and they will never see another dollar of mine.
My personal opinion and advice is go look up the street at something cheaper and than hire a personal trainer. Get a trainer off craigslist for half the money and they supply the place to work out or for quality there are solutions just up the street.
Great facility other then them strapping off every other weight machine for social distancing which makes getting appropriate workouts in difficult.
I love this place!
#1)The child care is top notch!!!
#2) The kids swimming pool is awesome!
#3) I like the women's hot tub and locker room!
This place is amazing. Especially for families they have a water park. Every type of workout equipment you can imagine. It's very accepting of everyone.
We have been members for several years and today I found out that I must wear a mask while working out. I am 66 years old and don't enjoy my blood oxygen dropping because I am rebreathing CO2. Older folks trying to stay active are most effected by this issue and yet need the activity the most. There is no supporting evidence (check the CDC website) that wearing a mask in the gym prevents the spread of COVID-19 and this option should be up to the individual member. I won't be back until this ill-considered rule is lifted!
The classes are great. The gym is huge. The cafe offers a good snacks. The monthly fees are very high and the pool food service is terrible.
I love villa and it's a good gym but I'm giving it 5 stars because of villakids. I love that there are the same employees and not new ones to get to know every time and they take care of my kids! Brandy, the villakids director is amazing and well deserving of the title. Plus $20/month/kid for 2.5 hrs a day is the best deal.
My happy place! Love the facility and the classes they offer. It's spacious and the equipment is well maintained. The adult only pool in the summer is great and in the winter sauna and steam room combat the winter blues if you suffer from that. The other athletes working out are courteous and mind their own business if you want to be left alone.
Wish they would charge more so i don't have to look at this plastic wrapped building any longer. Been this way for over a year.
Unreasonable cancellation policies! I cancelled on the 16th (apparently a day late), so I now I have to pay for next month as well. Managers are very rude about it.
Great experience. We had to leave a year ago for personal reasons and no issues at all with that so I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. We rejoined 2 months ago and couldn't be happier.
We love this for our family to swim in the summer and their kid watch while we workout. Our kids love it. My only beef is all of the people that hog machines or benches to do Facebook or because they think their circuit of free weights is more important than others while they hog up five stations and walk around.
Best thing I've done. Love this place. We'll worth the money!
I really like this club. The staff is always very nice and make you feel welcome. The facilities are clean and well maintained. If you go at the right time you can avoid the crowds but I usually have no problems getting the exercise equipment I want. Overall a great club and I would recommend it to others.
Would love a membership here but can not afford it. I went in on a free pass tour. Separate outdoor pools for adults
Its a very clean, organized no pressure way to get some exercise
We've been members since 2015, the was an incident in the Villa Kids area. A caregiver was arrested in March for asking little girls to touch him inappropriately. Villa Sport failed to notify anyone until the story broke July 11th on the news. It was completely mishandled. I talked to the GM, Megan, and she said Villa was asked to keep it confidential pending the investigation. I feel as a parent we had the right to know one the arrest was made because it's public access at that point. I was very disappointed to find out how things were handled and I feel that my trust and Villas integrity has diminished.
I used to view this as a 5 star establishment, however, lately it has become overcrowded and less personal. The place is always packed and you have to wait to utilize the pool and workout equipment.
Took a body pump class that was AMAZING, then experienced the outdoor pool. Truly welcoming and beautiful.
I've been a member for about 7 years, and I love it. Great staff, great classes, awesome pools. My one suggestion is to open the therapy pool if there is no class going on if the splash pool gets unexpectedly closed. That's a bummer when it's winter and you have no where to swim with the kiddos. But I would totally recommend Villa to one and all, it's great.
More like a country club experience than just a gym. The amazing childcare (Villa kids) is the main thing that keeps us members. Wish they had racquet ball or tennis though.
Such a great place to take the kids. The indoor family swim area is like being at a resort. The indoor/outdoor hot tub is a great way to unwind at the end.
I mainly joined VillaSport for the excellent childcare. I feel absolutely comfortable leaving my son in the hands of their capable, friendly staff. When I need to work out, there are lots of machines, weights, etc. When I just want some "mommy time," I can go sit by the adult pool. My son loves the kids' pools.
I hate to do this as I never leave bad reviews of a business. Villa Sport is seemingly going out of business to be honest. They have zero care for members who have been loyal for years. My wife and I asked about the many broken machines right now and we re pretty much told if we don t like it the way it is we can leave. Okay we sure will, we loved villa when what we were paying for was actually what we were getting.
The Covid thing can t really be an excuse because this was going on prior to the pandemic as well. Just not on as grand of a scale. If you pay for a luxury experience than that s what you should get, bottom line. Really disappointed in villa sport, management might want to revamp prices to planet fitness prices because that s what it has become. Actually PF is probably a notch above villa right now. Fix it or go under at this point!
There's a very disturbing class going on in the gym as I speak at 9 a.m. prime time from the upstairs workout area. The leader is using a sound system to speak. It's very loud through my earbuds. I don't want to here her yelling at pupils while I'm using the club I've paid top dollar for for years and years. Put the class in a private room not the gym. This one class is ruining my experience at Villa.
We joined a little over a year ago. This place is great! My wife loves the classes and after talking with friends that go to a competitor down the street it seems the childcare is much better.
Beautiful place to come work out or just relax by the amazing pool! The spa here is wonderful! The outdoor grill and indoor cafe have many options to satisfy anyone's appetite!
Great staff; clean facility; awesome kids areas club, pools and exercise facilities
Honestly with everything going on and how reduced all the services they offer are in the club, they should just close until things are better. Yes the masks are required by the state but.. is it smart for villa to even be open in the first place ? it really seems like this place doesn't have a clue how to run things all corporate cares about is thier money. During this crisis instead of just being closed when everyone was so scared about taking care of thier loved ones this place makes you OPT OUT of something you cant even use! like anyone was looking for your info to OPT OUT of this during all that.. villa didn't help at all during things only making it worse and hard on people.. they should have known common sense to suspend all payments when the club is close.. come on! if that doesn't show you how incompetent this company is i don't know what will.
Kids splash has been closed since ever and they dont give us an answer
The facility is beautiful. Their rates aren't terrible either, and there's plenty of distraction for kids if you have them.
I can drop the kids off for 2 1/2 hours at VillaKids and join a class, work out on the various machines, or relax in the hot tub.
Out of all the gyms and sports clubs I've been to this by far is my favorite.
This is a great gym, regardless of your level of fitness. Great atmosphere and perfect for families. The child care "Villa Kids" is awesome. The staff at this gym genuinely care about the customers. If you are looking to join a gym here in Colorado Springs, take the time to check out Villa!!!
I love this place. The staff are friendly and the classes are so much fun!
We just recently joined Villa Sport and its a beautifully kept facility. I've also had several questions and interactions with the staff at the front desk and at VillaKids and every time everyone was extremely nice, helpful, and did a little extra to help me.
Regarding complaints about the cancellation policy, it baffles me that people have a problem with this. I've been a member of several gyms, and needing to cancel by the 15th is so common, as well as having to do it in person. It's also stated in the packet they give you upon joining.
The machines are well kept and easy to use and the women's locker room is clean and super nice.
It is pricey, we have a family of 6, but we feel like for what we are getting it is worth it.
This place is freaking awesome... But you pay out the wazoo for it. Really it's super pricey. Just cancelled my membership and settled for a "really good" level gym (Crunch) for 1/3 the price.
We are cancelling our membership. We understand things like this can happen anywhere by someone in a position of trust... mostly we are incredibly frustrated and saddened by management's response to the parents, there has been no remorse, there have been no changes in policy and to find out about all of the childcare law loopholes they operate under? Never going to have care of my child again. I have been a member for many years, it is a complete shame that such a wonderful facility has been run into the ground by horrible management teams. I've had my issues with VillaKids in the past, but this just proves the point that every single person in that gym (even kids) are a paycheck, not someone they are caring for. No improvements, not properly licensed (which means they don't have to abide by the same standards with background checks, and child to teacher ratios), in fact... they have acted like concerned parents in this situation are WRONG and are the problem.
My $180 might not seem like much, but I know many more are cancelling because of this too.
Child care. 100% why we chose here. Hours are ok, locker rooms and spa are amazing. Great selection of equipment and classes. But child care is essential.
Yes, it s a bit pricey. But it has everything you d want in a gym, plus a ton of features that make it feel more like a country club. The VillaKids is a huge selling point: 2 hours a day of childcare while you workout, and the kids love it. Not just keep them from killing each other activities, but things that keep them engaged and wanting to come back.
Love this place. The staff are so kind and always willing to answer any questions. Very clean. Food court has variety ofc. Good and snacks.
Love the fitness classes and front desk staff. Their "no male babies in the girls changing room", and "no nursing in the women's locker room" policies are outrageous and illegal. Regardless, we've been members for 4 years and still go almost every day, so the good outweighs the negative. My youngest got sick a LOT from the baby room so we hardly ever use VillaKids anymore. The Villa kids staff is phenomenal, though.
Bunch of spoiled housewives acting like their the best while exercising with make up on. The yoga used to be the best but all the good teachers are gone.
Great group classes, amenities, and the staff is very nice and helpful!
The kids indoor pool has been closed all month. Do they open the indoor therapy pool more often for kids, when often there are no adults in it at all? No, they say we are welcome to swim outside in the cold, rainy weather. The therapy pool is only open for a few hours Thursday-Saturday for children. This, along with many other recent issues here have been enough to make us end our 2 year membership.
Super clean. Like the spa like bathroom. Everyone is friendly. Personal training session was fantastic and I love the group fitness class schedule.
I don't usually rant about certain stuff but I am really disappointed in the athletic club, where I spent A LOT of money every month. My wife and I were getting a quick workout in and I was doing circuit biceps and she was doing circuit kick backs. When I looked up I noticed two black "gentlemen", one a Villasport EMPLOYEE who was well aware we are married and the other his guest, were not only gawking but pointing at my wife and smiling. They stopped to get some water and then went right back to gawking and pointing again and worded "I'd f**k that a$$". I dropped the weights to get their attention and confronted the Villasport employee who blatantly lied to my face about doing anything. The other guy, his guest, came up and said "Im so sorry sir I didn't know that was your wife and I apologize." Awesome he did that but it still doesnt make it right to treat women like a piece of meat. (If we were at some low class gym we might expect that, but that's why we chose to join a high class Athletic Club!) What made matters worse was the villasport employee still denied his wrong doing when there were plenty of witnesses that saw it all happen. I'm sorry but this isn't the first time this has happened with other members and it's a perfect example of the 0$ down low life crowd that this so called "high class club" is letting in. After all we have done for this company and the many good couples we have brought in. I will say I am ashamed of the way this club has turned into nothing but a 24 hour fitness that's not open 24 hours. My wife has horrible social anxiety and doesn't even want to return to go workout because she's so embarrassed. She was even thinking about pressing sexual harassment charges on the two pigs. Again, after 6 months here, right now I am ashamed to call villasport my club of choice. This is the exact reason women go to high class fitness clubs to avoid this type of unwanted harassment and embarrassment. We already joined lifetime fitness and are so happy we switched.
Clean, friendly staff, amazing selection of classes, and there is always a new event going on.
Big warehouse gym. Lots of open space, but no real space for Olympic lifting during semi-busy times. There are 2 platforms, which is better than most, but just felt like could easily have a more serious training area. But I'm not the average gym goer.
If you're looking for a place to get a solid normal workout in, definitely recommend. If you're looking for Olympic lifting based training, come a before or after a peak, so you can grab a platform.
Very clean and professional gym and childcare is top notch.
I got a membership for the pool. it's in a WIND TUNNEL, no matter how hot it is, you freeze when you get out of the water. the hot tub is nice, but they let kids go in it and not only is it not good for them, but they're loud and boisterous. too bad, it's gorgeous. I let my membership lapse.
Best club I have ever joined. The facilities are first rate, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
I do have one edit to this review: If you e-mail or leave voice mail for someone in the club, don't count on a reply. With the exception of the aquatics director, any e-mail or voice mail I have left has gone entirely unanswered. Quite disappointing for a club that is otherwise first-rate.
Villa only cares about existing members. Have a problem with billing? Good luck getting a call. Have a problem with scheduling your swim lessons because yet another swim coach quit? Good luck scheduling them. Have a problem with being overcharged? Well the out of state woman who handles that is a witch, good luck!
The facility is beautiful, it's just a shame the customer service is so terrible. It's mostly front desk/billing. The instructors are fantastic. I vote they give the yoga department the club and let them run it because they're all so lovely.
I've probably left twenty management cards and not gotten a single call. Also, my son was injured twice at their pool, once an ibstructor inured him with her nails. And they don't even have any first aid supplies for cleaning, just alcohol swabs. No peroxide or something for small kids. I repeatedly asked management to order T is $1 supply so other kids wouldn't have to cry when they got hurt L, but management doesn't listen to suggestions given to them.
I love villa! A great motivating place to workout or just relax!
Clean gym and attentive staff. Always comfortable here.
Love the classes they have something for almost anyone! Yep its pricey, but let me tell you the staff is so kind and the place feels so much cleaner than other gyms I have been to! Love the pool, love that they have an adult pool so you can have a relaxing pool day as well as there being a pool for kids to go to!
I was a member at Villa for several years. When I first started, the staff was wonderful. The front desk would even know myself and family by name. I loved it.
About 2 years ago, the place started going downhill. There was "an incident" at the pool and their untrained lifeguard almost cost a young boy his life. When I went to group classes the next week, a friend started talking about it and I was pulled aside by Dana, the Group Fitness Manager, and told that we can't talk about it anymore because it's making the club look bad. I pay $175 month. It's not my job to make the club look good. It's the club's responsibility to train their lifeguards! Then I was contacted by management about this who offered a $75 gift certificate to their spa. It was never received.
On several different occasions, before the incident above, I had recommended this club to people who signed up. I never did receive any money on my villa sport membership as I was supposed to.
The front desk staff has gone all downhill. The manager of the front desk has no idea about customer service though so I can't expect her staff would know either. Just a poor, poor place. I would be better investing my money into a different facility and that is exactly what I'm going to do!
Love this gym. Best kid program. Friendly staff with lots of knowledge.
Every time i have issues and that is a lot, villa and the amazing staff beat me up (joking ) to get me motivated to get back at it. They are the best!!
Great if you have a family. Nice variety of cardio and weights, great pool for the kids to enjoy. If you're a hardcore lifter without kids, and don't care about the amenities, you'd probably find a better match somewhere else. Villakids is great but I have seen a couple of times where the staff were leaning against the wall chatting instead of watching the kids and I've seen some pushing/hitting amongst the kids, but it's only been a couple times
We like VillaSport for so many reasons. We do not have any small children so I cannot comment on those services. Also we don't do any classes but they are very popular with many people. I like the way they have the cardio upstairs and the majority of the classes. You can be on the treadmill or the stairs and have a great view of the mountains or of the outdoor pool area in the summer. Downstairs are the machines and free weights and of course the spa. I believe you can indulge in the spa services and not have a membership. I have always been able to get on a machine or cardio no matter the time. So many great features to bring up! Both men's side and women's side have steam saunas, dry saunas, and jaccuzzi. The lockers are easy, no need to bring a locker, they use 4 number code system. Villa provides the towels, and they have all the lotions needed for your showers. They have a family locker room side for your privacy needs. The swimming options are excellent, and the summer outdoor activities must be great, to include slide. The outdoor landscaping is very appealing with the grass and trees and not just pavement. The parking is efficient because it is completely open, no unnecessary islands. They have a Cafe to order some food or smoothies. We enjoy VillaSport for these reasons and more.
This is the best gym In Colorado Springs. The staff is always friendly. The cloud is always clean, which is hard because of s few members who think the staff is their personal maids.
I have been a member at several gyms in Denver, Pueblo and Colorado Springs and can honsisty say that I enjoy going to the gym daily. The child area is great for my 10 year old son. He also enjoys the inside pool and water slides.
I have have been going with my family for about ten years. VillaSport has great classes (Les Mills), clean facilities, good pools, and friendly staff. They frequently maintain the facilities and change out the exercise equipment. I do not like waiting for exercise equipment or for family showers. I wish the prices were lower and that they had a tennis court.
I really love this place, perfect for the whole family =)
Really nice facility, multiple pools but limited room- decent equipment.
I have been a member for approximately 1 year now, my family and I really enjoy Villa, it really is a family friendly environment and the staff is wonderful. I do think that someone should keep a better eye on the kids, I have seen small children, unsupervised, playing on the equipment in the weight room and running around. It's only a matter of time before someone is injured. Other than the kid issue, it is a really nice fitness / family facility, the modern day YMCA.
Daily break in our hectic schedule, if nothing else a great place for the kids to work off some of their energy.
The facility is nice but you cant really enjoy it as much as you should because of all the entitled parents letting their kids run around and annoy everyone instead of being actual responsible parents. On top of that they always close if they see sight of a snowflake and think its the apocalypse or something, facility really has no reason it cant be 24/7 so its always super crowded. Staff are nice and the spa is awesome but the facility as a whole with what you get and what you have to deal with is not worth it in my eyes.
Came with a friend to try it out before possibly joining. They wouldn't honor his guest pass and told me it would be $28 to work out for the day. No thanks.
Called to find about swimming prices for the day and was rudely talked to like I was stupid. She said you have to do this and that just to swim I don't want to work out I want to swim. Anyway she said it would be $55 a person.
They employ people who like to diddle kids in the childcare center. Then covered it up for months and told no one.
The staff were great, the equipment is clean and fairly well organized and spaced apart. So far it's been great!
