They are really reliable, you can count on them.They go an extra mile to survey the area and advise you on what you specifically need and also how you can keep it safe. They also answer questions and help with failed solar appliances from other companies. Arise and shine nursery and primary school is so happy to have chosen such a great company with great customer care! Village energy will always be my choice.
Village Energy Uganda recently provided our office with a power back up system and I would like to say that the process was seamless given their great customer care and reponse time. The system is amazing and has solved our power outage issue. I would highly recommend them.

I have never had a worse experience with any company. Their chief technician cannot give a straight answer to the problems and often changes his view on how things work. A complaint often leads to a call from their vice president who turns around the problems and blames them on you. The technician blatantly lied to his boss, yet the boss still blamed me for a problem which was not my fault. I told the boss this and he said it's bad to call people liars, I explained to him that it's not bad when they do lie, I am just calling them what they are.
This company has extravagant prices for equipment and labor which can be done for 1/3 of their price. They wanted to force me to purchase equipment that I did not need, stating that it wasn't a problem if I didn't need it, I would keep it not them. Why would I pay for things I don't need just to have them collect dust? They over charge for transport. In my case they wanted to charge 50,000 UGX for a trip that could be made to a from for 5,000. They don't keep their appointed times. There are many other great companies in Uganda to get the same services, I recommend staying far away from this one.
I can just say that Uganda was missing such solar experts, thanks for the work of supplying solar systems to power fridges in greater masaka,mbarara,make,soroti . You created a wide range of service to poor Ugandan .May the almighty bless the founders and Grant you knowlgde as you stay profiting Ugandans as well as Africa

We went out to tender for solar power at 2 Health Centres in rural Uganda. The quality of the technical and commercial response from Village Energy was excellent - they won the business. Village Energy fixed the PV system in the restaurant Palm Garden in Gulu where I am working. The old system in place had some serious issues of safety and energy efficiency, but Village Energy professionals solved them, providing us with a renovated, clear, safe and reliable PV system which is now powering most of our appliances. Fixing all the problems being able to save part of the system in place wasn t an easy task and as an Energy engineer myself I have appreciated the great expertise and honesty their technicians and engineers showed.
In addition, they included free maintenance exits for the first years and a good warranty on the instruments they provided. Definitely a serious and competent company working in the solar industry!
Village Energy has greatly derisked the aquisation of customized pv system for the rural communities and urban settings as well, with improved technologies of remote monitoring and we had the comfort of not having to call the technical team incase of fault, and with very friendly payment plan which made good quality affordable systems seem affordable, thank you for giving life to places in off grid areas, places I never expected to use a fridge, water heater and good lighting affordably
I am the Proprietor of Soroti Country Inn,a 21 Room Hotel with a Conference Facility and Dining Hall, located in Soroti Municipality,one km from the town centre along Mbale-Soroti highway.
We came to know Village Energy through some Technicians who slept at our Inn and realising that there was no hot water in the Hotel,offered a solution.
At first,we dismissed the offer because we knew we could not afford.But on deeper discussions,we discovered that Village Energy had attractive financing plans to acquire solar equipment with warrantee and after sales service.
The Heaters were installed in October 2016
One of the Heaters,the more modern and robust one with sensors and could be connected to electricity did not work at first. This was of great worry to us.Village Energy finally sent in skilled and experienced Technicians and the problem was sorted out to our delight.
Hot water does not come out immediately.You have to drain the cold water from the piping system which is wasteful usage of water.At full Board,hot water runs out in the morning,an indicator that capacity needs to be expanded.Understandably,the efficiency of the equipment declines during the rainy season.
Otherwise the equipment supplied is operating very well.
There is noticeable increase in Reservations despite the challenges in the Economy and the Hospitality Industry.The increment can be attributed largely to availability of hot water.
The Staff and Management of Village Energy are very friendly.It appears the Company PR is good and working.They Listen.
Village Energy is liberal as they allowed our own Plumber who knew the piping installations in the hotel,to lend a hand at their cost.
Village Energy has come up and is improving every year and I would rate them Very Good and would not hesitate to recommend them for similar Solar Installations as we ourselves plan for Solar Lighting from them and solar power to run fridges ACs

We greatly thank God for enabling us to run an entrepreneurship programme for young people in Bidibidi Refugee Camp in Yumbe District through a refugee youth based organization, SINA Loketa in Yumbe District, and we thank Solar Village for installing a solar system for SINA Loketa. We can now access electricity to power our equipments which we use for training young people skills in entrepreneurship. Solar Village gave us sufficient advise to care for the system. They also fixed other electrical challenges for free in addition to the solar system.
The company is supplying customized solar energy solutions to both on grid and off grid communities to enable empower there lives so I would encourage all of us get a system from this company.

I have had a very pleasant experience with Village Energy. After one Solar company put the unit up at my house, they basically varnished and have really been quite difficult to trace in provision of after sales services. Village Energy has been able to step in and help sort out a few issues with the system and even going as far as advising us on some other electrical cabling issues they found at the house. They readily avail themselves and i truly appreciate this company.
