Voting 5 to the site and to the guide. Vote 2 to the organization. There is no disabled access. I saw a boy having to get off the wheelchair and, helped, pass it on the other side of the turnstile. Very serious for a structure of this importance. I also find it serious that there are no services at the ticket office (bars, bathrooms), to buy a bottle of water or go to the bathroom you have to enter and make a nice piece of road until you reach the pecile.

A triad from Comoedia Tiburtina -

A triad from Comoedia Tiburtina -
Let's hypothesize the Delizia of Ippolito d Este in Purgatory. To be a place of private escape from the papal court and an elegant hallway for a personal revenge. Where water marries air and sculpted nature. Domesticated water, never more than gushing.

Then at Paradiso, we could approach the Platea Adriana. Horizontal theater of solids and voids, which, for its vastness of openness and symbolic solidity, alludes to the Infinite. While knowing the earth.
Here the water is calm energy. Here monovalent meanings remain, a representation of certainties, reassuring stability. Here still hangs a caesar to honor.

I do not recommend going only in summer
It's not hot, hot and fun
There are many archeological sites in a very large site
It is a place you want to visit during the season when it is easy to spend

It is very large and extends over many hectares between the ruins and archaeological remains of the Roman villa. Also there is the museum where the finds of this ancient civilization are kept. On the first Sunday of each month ... after booking at the Villa you can ask to enter for a cultural visit without paying the entrance!

Some great sights of amazing ruins that could really benefit from even a little information. The place is huge and amazing, but if you don't have a tour guide you'll be a bit under informed on what everything is. Still an amazing place.

Very beautiful place, full of ruins of the Romain age. The park is clean and beautiful but for a Ticket of 8 euros per person + 3 euros of parking, I thought too much, they didn't even had toilet paper on the bathrooms. It could have a cheaper ticket.

The splendid Villa Adriana in Tivoli is one of the Italian sites included by Unesco in the World Heritage List.
Built at the behest of the emperor Hadrian, it is a monumental housing complex that still today stages the splendor of the places of power of ancient Rome.

This place is magical (and is surprisingly well preserved) A condensed of all that ancient Italy has to offer without the effect of mass tourism of the Palatine or Coliseum, since here the place is immense it is visited in several hours ( that we do not see pass) and you will not meet anybody.

Villa Adriana is a small jewel set in the Aniene valley. Unfortunately Rome cannibalizes all the beauties in the area leaving only the most willing tourists the opportunity to admire this site. Although the villa has several fountains I suggest you bring a small bottle of water and in the warm months a little hat because at certain times of the day the shadow is extremely rare. Given the size of the villa, I recommend that you take a map and dedicate some time to the model at the entrance, just to be able to understand what we could see during the Imperial age.

Comfortable shoes, a beautiful day and at least 3 hours of time, this way to get around without worry!
... but if you also want to know more about what you have before your eyes, my advice is to spend more and take a guide in the flesh; believing it was a good solution we took an audio guide ... never the wrong choice! beyond the very low audio, the information that is proposed does not help the visitor in the imagination ... certainly helps him from the construction point of view, the only thing that does not lack: "details" on the material used for every structure. I eventually opted for wikipedia!
I highly recommend the visit of the villa, but if you are not interested in the simple walk .. come with a guide!

Spectacular places! Allow at least 2h30 of visit, and 3h for those who like to stroll! In mid-September, we arrived at 9:30, there were only half a dozen tourists in this large area at that time. Plan to protect yourself from the sun and enough water, in good weather the sun is rough on the pavement.
A villa however considered a city by all the facilities that one finds there. The state of conservation is unique and the aficionados of temples and ruins will feast! (view of the maritime temple)

As a revelation to me ... It is worth reading about this place first because there is a long history associated with this place. To be honest, I like this place more than, for example, the roman forum in Rome. In more places you can enter and watch. It is also worth visiting the center of Tivoli to see great fountains

One of the places where it can be accessed even if it is "differently able". Beautiful place so much and so green to get lost ... a place for me .... "special" certainly to visit in many. As "Unique" from where you can also see the town of Tivoli ...

Wonderful. I did not appreciate the fact that many sites do not have references, without the guide it is impossible to grasp their use originally. It would be better to integrate, or establish a single price including audio guide.

We chose to take a tour with the guide, luckily I would say because the park is huge and if you do not leave already informed, you risk turning empty! The guide was very good and comprehensive

Historical testimony of very high thickness, at least I recommend the video guide and if you arrive early there is free parking (there are 3/4 places near the entrance). Huge and for this reason it can be dispersive.

Wonderful site, very disappointing organization. At the entrance they did not even give us a map, The route is not outlined, the monuments are mostly not indicated, and the few signs, written very badly, with huge spelling mistakes, give very boring and incomprehensible technical indications to non-professionals , and they do not understand anything. We wandered for hours with the feeling of not seeing everything, of going round and round. We went to visit the attached museum, but it was closed, we were at the refreshment point but it is a very sad little closet, with horrible machines, and no service, in short, a beautiful place, Unesco heritage, but not at all enhanced. The only positive note is the cleanliness.

The truth is that it is very nice to tour the place. It was a sunny but low temperature day, but pleasant, ideal for walking and enjoying the scenery. Keep in mind that they are ruins and not imagine that we will find the buildings intact.
One thing that was not comfortable for us are the indications of the places and possible routes, since they provide quite little information and it is not clear which place to go. So, in short, it is better to let go and get lost in the ruins.

Villa Adriana is a multidimensional experience. Extraordinary residues of a grandiose complex of two thousand years ago in a landscape context which in itself is very pleasant. It can be interesting when you are on the site to see one of the 3D reconstructions found on youtube.

Unforgettable. The home and space conceived and designed by the emperor Hadrian, man of culture, hellenophile before the eternal, will make you travel through his sources of inspiration (Greece, Egypt ...) and dream. A must for a trip to Rome or Lazio, to combine with the Villa d'Este, another place of culture and art of living created by Cardinal Barberini.

It allows to see clearly how the emperors of Rome lived in their villas. It is very well preserved and the whole can be seen. Easy access by car, parking at the door and the cost of entry less than its equivalents in Rome. Worth it.

Monday outing with children.
Although it is August, it is bearable because it is sufficiently ventilated and shaded.
Anti-covid procedures ok.
I didn't visit the restaurant, we brought picnics from home.
Ample parking at affordable cost.

Site of great archaeological interest that should be visited trying to imagine the magnificence of the era. In this regard, audio guides or guided tours are of great help. If visited in the summer, the first morning is preferable, as temperatures rise to high levels later on

A great place to visit. Suitable for children and people with disabilities. Remember that in Rome we do not buy water from street traders. Water in Rome is suitable for drinking and there are a lot of water intakes. It is only necessary to have a bottle.

Day will not suffice to consider the whole territory. Despite the fact that very little has survived to our days, there is still something to see and the scope of the buildings is impressive. Very beautiful! And the ancient olives, which still bear fruit, have led me astonished!)

This was an amazing experience, I would highly recommend that you visit the Villa.

I would suggest that you allocate yourselves a full day there. It is a very large villa. (Hadrian was not messing about I can tell you that much)

There is a bus a 3 minute walk from the railway station, that drops you right outside next to the ticket office.

If you are travel there from Rome I would suggest that you check the train times as the trains to Rome don't always go to the main station. (If you get caught out by this you can always jump on the metro for one stop).
