beautiful exhibitions on great topics! However; Much chaos and bad guidance system to the ticket counters. Bad condition of individual games attractions, in some cases even broken and this during the holiday season ... even the roof at the railway exhibition is leaking.

This is an absolute treat for your senses! The museum is divided in 4 sections, namely rail, road, water and air transport. All exhibits have interactive sections for kids and grown up kids to enjoy. I could talk about every single exhibit but that would ruin it for you.
great museum. everything related to traffic, therefore especially for children. Price unfortunately a little too expensive u And unfortunately there are no more popular family tickets
I loved this museum. We learn a lot of things but most importantly, the animation is amazing. You have the opportunity to be in a car crashing at 10 km / h, enter a labyrinth mirror, fly a plane in a simulator, discover the crazy sensation of astronauts, etc ... Much to do that we do not even see the time go by. Even if the museum is in the German side of Switzerland, it is possible for any French or Italian to understand through the translation into the official languages of Switzerland. The park is well organized, it is divided into 4 zone: Trains, Cars, Boat, Plane. The museum is up to date and covers current topics such as the Gotthard (in the train section). Gives you the opportunity to visit the interior of several vehicles (trains, cars, boat or plane). There is no shortage of room to have a break and eat. There is even a train specially for picnic and next to a small park. My visit to the museum is memorable, I recommend it to everyone to visit.
The traffic history of Switzerland is displayed here with cars, planes and you get a lot of insights. You can easily spend a whole day here without getting bored for a minute. Worth a visit!
Great museum for young and old. We went on a Sunday night for about 3 hours and could easily have spent longer. We received discounted every because we had the TellPass.
A museum about transport with lots of very interesting and interactive exhibits. There are lots of activities for kids which make this place a super day trip for families. There also is a restaurant where you can buy different kind of foods - from french fries to Chinese menus. Except for very few activities everything's included in the admission charge. Finally, there's also an IMAX theater plus a planetarium.
The Verkehrshaus itself deserves 5 stars. Since the shop is one of them, there is a 2 star deduction. Toys are consistently overpriced and cheap to make. Our grandson got the space shuttle with parachutte incl. Ligth. after pecking twice, the tip already broke. The grandchild's disappointment is huge, as is the grandparents' frustration. It is a shame that money is made with overpriced, cheap toys in such a place.
Nice and a must place to visit at lucerne for kids need for adults. Informative shows, all types of transport modes of Switzerland displayed. Good short movies. Of course can not forget Lindt chocolates n very helpful staff at the retail outlet of the museum. Lindt chocolates are cheapest here. Over all a very nice experience n a full day outing. Shd also go to a lake side near it. Beautiful...
The museum with that certain something. We have annual passes and use them very often. There is always something new to discover. The children grow up and are always interested in new things. But even the well-known exhibits are always perceived differently. It is a trip for the whole family.
Although the Verkehrshaus mutates into an amusement park, a visit to the museum is still worthwhile. Admission is a bit expensive without discounts. In addition, you should be aware that construction is still going on at the moment and that a few (few) activities are not open due to the corona. All in all worth a visit if you're interested in transportation and traffic
A great place! We were there on Sunday and there weren't many people there. There is a lot to see and before you look around, the day is over. The restaurant offers a wide selection of lunches and there are plenty of places. The safety distances are well respected and the cashiers are very friendly.
Pretty large museum with lots old transportation on displays and many hands on educational displays too. Great for kids! It also has film and chocolate related showings, but charge separately and more for kids again, particularly the chocolate showing which was not worth the money.
Too little time, to much to see! One should bring his/her tent and camp there for a couple of days, one week... Otherwise there's no chance for you to see everything. Simply marvelous!
It was good to see all the variety of vehicles they had. The issue I had was the cost was pretty high and a good portion of the interactive displays were out of order so it took away from the value. Otherwise a good way to spend a couple of hours.
Great place to take kids. Lots to do, including many interactive exhibits. Ideal for small groups and great fun for all ages, but ideal for children between~3 to ~13 (after this is very dependant on child's interests of course)
Our little one is thrilled. Fun for young and old. They make every effort to be up to date with the exhibits. With the car paternoster, dust could be wiped off from time to time. The outside area is great.
Excellent museum. I could spend entire day in each of the pavilions. There are also a lot of family oriented and kids oriented activities. A must if you visit Lucerne, definitely high in the list of tourist attractions. But a warning - if you are a transport enthusiast, plan at least a day in order not to be disappointed. After the museum is closed a walk around the lake could be enjoyed in the evening.
Huge museum with endless exhibits, large and small. Many interactive exhibits, theatre with history of Lake Laverne was very charming. We spent nearly four hours there, probably a personal best for duration of museum visits. Trains, planes, cars, boats, submarines, gliders, spacecraft all in profusion. A lot of old rare gorgeous cars. Worth the $32 (Swiss).
A must-see place in Switzerland. The experience is actually independent of the weather. Certain halls (e.g. ship hall) urgently need innovations. Personally, I liked the garage with the large car wall better - you never get to see individual specimens. I also think it's a shame that Redbull (currently) takes up so much space - but I also understand the museum's financial situation. A little tip to the locals: make an annual or family subscription, it's worth it many times over!
Exciting museum, offers enough material for two or more visits. The exhibition has something for everyone and is very exciting. My insider tip: The Chugelibahn on the second floor of the ship exhibition. You could stay there for hours.
There is a little deduction because of the food: 60 Rp. For a small packet of ketchup / mayo I think is totally exaggerated.
