The Verkershaus is extremely rude to the children. A child may not ride a kart, even though it is big enough and will be 6 years old in 2 weeks.
When asked about this, the manager only says that a maximum of 10 children are allowed to drive and that over 6 years old are preferred first. There were only 9 children.

Was here in the evening for a lecture upstairs. At the same time a second event took place on the ground floor.
Organizationally, they passed each other well.
Somewhat cold, impersonal waiting hall atmosphere, it was hard to tell which event where started and stopped (more visible separation / distinction)
Enough parking
Great environment
Little / no feeding possibilities except the catering offered by the organizer.

Large museum with lots of topics covered in a number of buildings. Swiss Museum Pass only gives 50% discount on entry tickets. Ticket prices are very high and everything is paid extra, e.g. chocolate experience, planetarium. There's no decent restaurant, only busy and hectic self-service bistro with very mediocre food.

For that the entrance fee is so high, less and less is offered from year to year. For example, the planetrarium, which is now subject to a fee due to the renovation. Or the free Gotthard tour was replaced by a paid Swiss Chocholate Adventure. The Verkershaus used to offer a lot more for the entry of the museum. And we don't start with the opening. The museum opens at 10 a.m. but the attractions are delayed by 10 minutes because they are still doing test runs that could actually be done beforehand. At 10 a.m. you can expect everything to be open, a shame for Switzerland that is known for being punctual

Fantastic, in half a day I didn't see everything so I'll be back. All transport vehicles can be admired. From the first steam locomotives to an original module that has orbited the earth for a year, passing between helicopter airplanes, various types of simulators, model trains, in short, a fantastic museum for young and old

Museum very well structured, divided by areas, from trains to ships, from aircraft to space with a thousand interactive activities inside and outside the structure. Staff prepared and available. The only flaw the cost for a large family could discourage.
The fun is guaranteed

Great museum, has some really interesting things. Your fine with getting a ticket just to view the museum because there is a lot to see. I suggest to go in the Space Transformer. The parking is very affordable.

The Verkehrshaus is worth seeing and interesting. If you can, you should pay a visit. The visit is for all ages. From my point of view, a hygienic mask would be required in certain places, as we are still in the Covid-19 aftermath.

Every chapter is great and interactive for kids and adults. You will even be able to enter an old elegant Swissair plane and a Rega Helicopter. The site is huge and friendly. You could spend 2 days. Restaurant canteen is available on site ($$$) and chocolate exhibition. Great experience.

It was a shame that we arrived an hour before closing time, as it turns out it closes one hour earlier since winter time (5 pm). So in the end, this visit was a bit too rushed in order for us to gain a true opinion and experience of the place.

Wow, did it impress though. It had every major category of transport on display with incredible detail and interactive & dare I say, futuristic displays.

It's the perfect place to bring your kid(s), with plenty of fun things for them to try out and play with. It is by far the best museum I can imagine a child, or even adult having a great time at!

However, the experience was sadly not really tailored enough to people outside the languages of Switzerland in my opinion, except for the fact that the staff who could speak some English.

If you're ever in Luzern, be sure to check this place out! You can quickly and easily walk here from the train station or take a bus.

We are sure every 2 months here in the museum. Our son would want to go even more often. What bothers a bit is the many ads (Red Bull and Felix Baumgartner both are not necessarily the sympathy, but money does not More

This is a great museum with great things. You can always go back and there is always something new. In the Verkehrshaus there is the car hall, the train hall, the ship hall and much more. The only negative points are that the restaurant is not really hygienic and that the shop has overpriced goods.

Great place to spend a complete day with the kids. Lots of interactive activities, simulations, interactive boards, experiments. Disorientation simulator is amazing ! TCS karts had success as well as chocolate experience. Fortunately for us the place was pretty empty due to particular covid situation.
Definitely recommend this place for families !

Museum tested because rainy weather in Lucerne ... Taken very high in view of the content.
The adjacent museums are all on additional payment. Personally, I find that it is not worth the detour except for families with children.
