Who ever gets to Lucerne and interested in history-transport certainly should stop. Admission is 32 CHF, but it is definitely worth it. The exhibition is interesting and interactive and also suitable for visiting with children. One star down for some broken exhibits.

Museum of 5 stars and more !!! All areas are well organized with many activities for the little ones and not only. For this advice, visit since the opening, the museum takes all day. Excellent value for money. It is worth it.
You could hang out here all day and never get bored. You can not stay here for a couple of hours since there is so much to see and do!! Plan a visit of about 4-6 hours to have seen pretty much everything
Outstanding museum all about transport. If you are into planes, trains, cars and boats like me, you'll love it. Lots of hands-on for the kiddies (and the big kids). Thoroughly enjoyable. A little pricey, but worth it in my opinion.

Really great, for young and old, nothing to say about the price of the entry is to justify, the site is top.
This is a fun place for the family visit: plan to spend there the whole day! We stayed there for 6 hours and it wasn t enough, however, everyone had good time! Outdoor activities for children are super cool: the construction site, the children s railway, the jumping site, the carting - all are meant to be tried, so plan the time accordingly. Nice cafeteria to get a pause and re-energize. There are also two picnic areas if you prefer to eat your own food. Wheelchair and stroller access and convenient and clean WCs with changing tables for infants.
Wonderful! There are so many things to do and see that there is a full day available. There are lots of installations and interactive games for children. Really highly recommended for both adults and children.

Great place for kids and adults alike. Amazing Planetarium and media world. Kids Bungee is chargeable. Needs full day for optimal fun. Nearby park is a great place to relax.

It is the sum of many museums in one splendid solution.
Impossible to visit it in one weekend, it would be necessary to spend at least one week full time and keep a few more days to fully enjoy Lucerne.

Kids had a lot of fun. Very well maintained. Fair amount of eating options. Chocolate tour was nice. If your kids are young, you could easily spend a day here.
Ma many areas combined in addition to transportation. You can spend a weekend with your family or go with your grandchildren to the movies and have fun. Shop and restaurant.

For technology lovers a must! Also entertaining for children. Man should plan a whole day. The highlight was a pre-ordered tour of former Locksmiths in the railway department. So recommended!
Super excellent and a must visit. U need a minimum of 2 hours to go through everything. Its not like a typical museum where look only n no touch, it has so much more.. interaction.. simulations.. history.. information.. fun.. it even has a lindt chocolate shop. It has all modes of transport covered.. cars,planes, ships, trains etc. Also a little maze of mirrors to get list in . Easily reached by a bus. Much more to do apart from above.. i think u can easily spend a day here. Simply loved it!

Excellent museum for all ages. Plenty for the kids to do (a lot of interactive exhibits) and plenty for adults to enjoy exploring/experience. Hard to see the whole place in one day. My young kids enjoy the play area in the courtyard. Great for international guests with multiple language displays. Nice cafeteria for lunch.

This is a suitable museum if you have children, (adults 30Chf, students 26 Chf) but if you aren't into child attractions, I'd recommend skipping this place.
This museum in three languages makes you discover many things in the mechanical field and you can even attend a 3D screening in the largest cinema in Switzerland
Amazing! The children (4 and 6 dwarfs) had a lot of fun and even for adults it is very interesting! Very varied in activities!

One day isn't enough if you like automobiles. Kids can have great time too. Very informative and stimulators are great.

Overcrowded and very long waiting times. Dense crowd without any distance rules, hardly anyone wears a mask! Only in a few rooms such as For the planetarium or the Imax, masking is required, but not when queuing. An absolute farce of how the corona situation is dealt with here, in view of the current critical situation.
Great place where you know the beginning of the trains of that decade, very interesting indeed, excellent service to customers, very large space, in addition to the trains there is the aviation that stands out with swissairlines, and also submarine, vessel outside the games you have fun, OBS; the public and more focused on children in case of fun there, has the NASA part. Cars too. It is worth the 32 CH .. 56 CH which includes the cinema this value is more for people who will spend all day there!

The Verkehrshaus is one of the best museums in Switzerland. I've been there 5 times. This year I was also allowed to look at many new things. Eg. The media world has changed a lot and there is also a Lindt Schoggi exhibition.
What I do not like so much is that the entrance is not enough attention that there are tickets without Planetarium and co. And give tickets with these accessories.
Growing up in Switzerland but left 20 years ago, I was looking forward to see the museum. The train section is still as it use to be. The rest of the museum looks like it was put together by a MTV set designer. The automobile section was the biggest disappointment. Instead of showing the historical cars, flashing lights and loud music showed ... actually I don't know. The cars were far, far away in storage facility and you could seem them on a 17" monitor.
I was there on a Sunday and all parts of the museums were almost empty except for the court yard where all the kids played with the free scooters.
If you have seen other transport museum in ... the rest of the world, and you are not just there for the train exhibition, save your money.
And if you go, watch out for the scooters.
There is always plenty of new stuff. Impossible to see everything in one day!

Very nice museum with kids about transport, a lot of interesting activities for them and you to do. Get the combi ticket for the chocolate experience, the planetarium, the movie and the museum itself, it's worth it. The kids show in the planetarium is not very interesting if you don't speak german or english

A great place, a must see on every trip to Switzerland. Many interesting attractions an amazing fun place for children on the construction site. I heartily recommend. Children up to 6 years old go for Free! :-)

A must for all railway fans. In addition, as the name suggests, all other means of transport are represented (cable cars, airplanes, cars ...). Even a submarine has it which one can visit with a guide. Fun for all ages ...
I went for Luzern sightseeing. There were many people in the center, but not so many people.

Good for kids to have more knowledge, nice view when you walk alone with Lake from city center. Fantastic. Btw, this Museum has Lindt choclette store, here has best price compare you buy from other store in the city.
We enjoyed a fine afternoon in the restaurant Piccard. The vegetable pan was a treat for the eye AND the palate, and the dessert was so yummy. And the ladies from the service were extremely attentive, cheerful and professional. A fantastic place to refuel at noon.
