I've had their brunch buffet and their calamari salad on separate occasions and it was fantastic service both times. Super friendly staff; I even felt like I made friends with some of the waiters. Fairly pricey menu but there are less expensive options as well.

The food is fresh with great flavor and the service wonderful. I cannot express how lovely it is to have the staff provide complimentary champagne and dessert when they know we are celebrating our anniversary. Thank you for reminding us of why we chose this venue in the first place for our wedding. Top notch and absolutely stunning views.

This place is absolutely amazing. The views, drinks,food and staff was top notch. The drinks were perfect. The food was absolutely the best. I ordered a ribeye steak the size of my back with the taste to match. The flan was delicious, so was the fried ice cream. Our waitress was genuinely nice and helpful. One of the best restaurants I've been to inna while. Thank you guys

Great views and service. My food was just alright. I had a Mahi dish and it was bland for my taste. Others in our party were very happy with their food. Will go again.

The appetizer was great, and the cocktails were tasty and unique, but the entree was overcooked, which made it nearly inedible and not at all enjoyable.

Service was excellent, staff was friendly, and the carne asada nachos are delicious! Great views from the windows to go with your meal, too!

The Ventana Grill in Pismo Beach is a beautifully located restaurant just above the rocky coastline. The location of the restaurant offers magnificent views over the Pacific.

Before we could go to table, there was still a short wait to be bridged. But we were delighted with delicious cocktails at the bar.

The food was great and cooked to perfection.

Amazing views and delicious food. I appreciate the variety of choices and the fact that they're not afraid to use some spice. It's not your standard Central Coast eatery.

We went because it was the closest place to our hotel. The staff is friendly, but was clearly tired. My server kept forgetting what I'd asked for, and his busser kept having to pick up his slack, so I tipped her double what I tipped him. Upsides: quesadillas were yummy, nachos were pretty good, friendly staff, very clean, upscale vibe. Downsides: Spotty service, overpriced, absolutely NO TACOS . Oh, and if your look is a bit bohemian, expect to be ignored for the "better dressed" guests. Never know who you're serving bro

If anywhere deserves 5 stars I believe-based off of my one visit-that Ventana Grill deserves 5 stars. The wait staff was the perfect balance of kind and attentive without seeming like they were peddling me for a tip. The atmosphere was upscale and romantic (came for an anniversary so that was important to me). The view? I mean come on it was ridiculous!

Now the food, I was really hoping the food matched the feel and atmosphere of the restaurant and it was incredible. I loved their menu. Is you like poblano peppers, you are in luck because it seemed like they were an ingredient in every other dish. Which my wife has been quoted saying, "why aren't poblano peppers in everything?", so that was an immediate win.
We ordered the lobster mac and cheese appetizer and it was amazing. So decadent and delicious. It wasn't huge but it wasn't tiny either, we asked our waiter and he told us it's definitely not as sizable as some of the other apps (we saw the nachos and the were huge), but we were cool with that cause we didn't want to fill up on the appetizer anyway. But don't even think about splitting it between more than 2 people. Even that felt like a stretch. But if you're like us and aren't looking for a huge app, get it!
For our entrees my wife ordered a special which was seafood enchiladas with steak on top. She absolutely loved it. The sauce on it was strikingly delicious. She said she wished to eat it as a soup!
I was feeling pretty plain apparently because I ordered a burger?! I don't know what happened there. But! To be fair the burger had on it chorizo, caramelized onions, roasted poblano peppers, and some crazy awesome combo of cheeses. Honestly, I think the meat of the burger itself was one of if not the best I have ever eaten and that completely caught me off guard. It was significantly cheaper than anything else on the menu, and I was more than satisfied with my choice!

All that to say, I will definitely be looking for an opportunity to come back here again! Ventana Grill you have one very satisfied customer here and I think you are doing a lot of things right. Thank you so much for not using your location as a crutch for mediocre service and food (something I was nervous about based off of other scenic restaurants I have visited in the past). You surpassed my expectations and did so without ruining my vacation budget, that is an impressive feat in my opinion!

Had our anniversary dinner there. Made a reservation the day before. I told person I spoke to it was our anniversary and they gave us a window table. Food was great and our server was very polite

The ceviche is not a ceviche . Somebody invented in the ventana Restaurant. Never expected this joke of dish.

The Arrachera Steak & Shrimp Molcajete is quite possibly one of the BEST dishes I have ever had! Flavor explosion!! The menu is so unique while still having basics for those less adventurous when it comes to flavor. The drinks were standard staples but with very fun twists, putting their signature on them, and tasted lovely. Everything we had exceeded our expectations! And don't even get me started on that incredible view... if you're looking for the perfect dining experience, EAT HERE!!!

We called for an appointment but they had a section for walk ins and we shouldn't have any problems getting in there, but when we got there there was a lot of people and we had to wait about a hour. We were a little disappointing but it was worth waiting a hour for the view. Plus we were able to get drinks and walk around and enjoy the view which made the hour go by really fast. When we finally got seated the owner gave the whole table free champagne and the food was AWESOME. We had a beautiful view looking out to the sunset and we got to see whales. It was a great dinner. -Danny

Amazing ocean views over the bluffs! My fiance and I both ordered the Blue Agave Rib-Eye. Hands down the best steak either of us have ever had! The glaze on it was just phenomenal! And the steak was so tender! We also tried the Alaskan Halibut Ceviche. Everything was amazing from food to friendly fast staff! Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience. Staff was amazing. Waitress was cute, sweet, and attentive. Food was delicious and VERY reasonably priced. Best part was the view.

If you are Staying in the San Luis Obispo or Pismo Beach area, this is a must go for Sunday Brunch. Make sure to make a reservation, as this place fills up fast.

Doors open at 10:00am and there is a line starting around 9:45am. When you get inside, you're given a table, told that there are bottomless mimosas and bloody marys and you can stay as long as you want.

As the cost is pretty expensive, over $40.00 for brunch, make sure you are hungry or go with the plan to stay for awhile. They are always changing up the buffet and have wonderful food.

The service is wonderful, their staff is attentive and wants to make sure that you have a perfect brunch. There was live music, soft, not too loud, and fun. The food is better than any buffet I've had, piles of crab legs, fresh made tortillas, omelets, desserts, carving station, and loads of other items.

To sum it all up, make a reservation, get there early, go hungry, stay for as long as you can.

Our server tanja was great!!!! Not stingy with the bottle at all. We got refills within minutes every time we drank more than half our glass. Highly recommended for small eats and lots of mimosas.

Dang fine Ventana Burger, awesome smoke, really good on the spiciness and the fries were pretty good. Not the cheapest burger I have had, but very good none the less. They do have some great beers on tap though which is a massive plus.

Great service. Nice view. Food good, however my agave ribeye was subpar. Ordered med-rare but got well done. Returned it (which I never done before) for another attempt at med-rare. It was medium 2nd time around but kept it. Flavor was fine but a lot of fat and gristle.

Great food, great service. Our waiter, Colton, constantly checked on us although they were extremely busy. Very knowledgeable about the menu and really friendly. Would make it a required stop when I pass through pismo.

Was here for an afternoon wedding. The lower deck was reserved for us for the private party, and it has a lovely view of the sunset if you're here at that time.

Amazing diverse flavors, true to the menu description. Meats were tender and cooked to perfection. The Fried Cheesecake dessert was decadent, the fresh vanilla bean ice-cream must have been homemade! Excellent service with a beautiful view. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite places to eat... Specially Sunday brunch

Great food, great service. We were going to "dine in" at one of their awesome outdoor tables but 5 mins after we put in our order it suddenly started getting super windy and cold so we asked if we could instead take our order to go which they had no issue with and were very understanding. They boxed up our order and we enjoyed our food at our hotel room instead. The fish and chips were great as well at the fish tacos. Will definitely go back.

Restaurant is oceanfront with beautiful views. Service was excellent and the food mouth watering delicious.

Great views of the Pacific combined with great food and service makes this a top notch eating place if you are around Pismo beach. Slightly pricey menu, but it's well worth the overall experience.

Exceeded my every expectation. We had a party of eighteen people. Not easy to serve. Ashley was our server and she nailed it. Every dish came out at the exact same time too. Sort of an American-mexican seafood fusion thingie. I only know it was perfect and delicious. The desserts were all hand crafted on site. Superb. Not one complaint. Thank you so much !!!

This is a go-to for special occasions. Ocean views, incredible culinary creations, and a comfortable atmosphere all create a memorable experience.

My husband and I enjoyed the food here very much. I had the scallops and shrimp and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The best scallops I've ever had. We ordered the Tiramisu for dessert and it was the most amazing I've had in my life! Our server, Brandi, provided awesome service as well and made sure we had all we needed!

It has fabulous food and a view that is amazing, the Pacific Ocean!
