Exquisite mexicain cuisine with a brilliant blend of seafood, premium service (fast and professional), outstanding views of the beaches and shoreline, and an exceptional quality to price ratio with an easy and free parking. We will come back since this restaurant deserves at least one star from the Michelin guide.

5 stars for Sunday brunch. Was there previously for dinner, and although the view is incredible if you get table by the window (or outside patio), the food was disappointing, not even 4*

The Quesadilla appetizer was very good and my husband and I split it. The fish is always excellent and the Sea Bass Special was no disappointment. The service was not great but was good enough. The view is always good but the June Gloom didn't cooperate by providing a sunset. Fall is better for decent weather in Pismo Beach - we'll be back then!

Good food and great cocktails. Only complaint was the way the hostess complained in front of us that we interrupted her break and the long wait before being acknowledged by our waitress. Once she did though she was attentive the rest of our meal. I would definitely give them another try.

So me and my wife walk in not knowing that this was a 5 star restaurant keep in mind we drove to pismo from Fresno .ca in sweatpants and sweaters we enjoyed the day In pismo well let me tell u that this place is very expensive we all I wanted was a shrimp cocktail before we went home and my wife wanted a mix drink well we ended up get two appetizers which one was my shrimp cocktail and her quesadilla now we sheared the most expensive plate together which was the tiger prawns plate well its was 32 dollar all together we spend 80 dollar I will not return there I should of went to McDonalds like my wife wanted but instead I want to try it there well let me tell u the cocktail was not that great it teasted like if it was from a can no jalapeno or avocado who ever made that should make it better the tiger prawns were okay basically I paid for a meal that was like home made and this was a 4.6 star from goggle no no no no no this is a 3 star or less the waiters was taking there sweet time to wait on us and my soda was not getting refilled I guest it might of been the way we were dressed but we came from out of town and we didn't know that was a 5 star restaurant .

Food was excellent, view was spectacular, atmosphere pleasent, and service was hard to beat. Great place to watch the whales, if they're passing by.

Horrible service. We waited at the bar for 10 minutes only to be told we had to wait in a different line to order a drink. We had plenty of space at the bar so I asked why we couldn't be served at the bar. The bartender's gave a ton of attitude and basically didn't care about the customer. The manager on duty also didn't care and basically blew us off. Worst service I have ever had on the central coast. Shockingly bad for this area.

Modern contemporary Mexican food. Homemade tortillas made on site. Everything was fresh, and pleased the pallete. The experience was above par with the expectations for this type of establishment. The views are stunning from the Ventana. Great service from Brandi. Tip: the corkage is currently $15.

I ve been to Ventana a number of times and have always had a great experience. However, this time was rather disappointing to say the least. My significant other and I were here to celebrate a 5 year anniversary. She ordered the shrimp and scallops entree and I ordered the chimichurri flank steak. My meal was fine, but her scallops were grossly undercooked. We had to wait ten minutes before the waiter returned to check up on us and take her dish away to be replaced. By that point I was more or less done with my meal. When they brought out the new dish it only contained the scallops and not the shrimp as well. So, essentially, we each had to eat our entree separately, they skimped her on the food, and the restaurants solution was to waive the dessert fee. It s one thing to bring out the wrong drink, but undercooked seafood at a restaurant of Ventana s caliber and cost is simply unacceptable, and their solution, in my opinion, was not adequate. We ve both worked in the service industry and are well aware that mistakes happen, so we aren t usually picky, but a place like Ventana must be held to a high standard, and they certainly didn t live up to that standard this time around. Unfortunate.

This place is all about the view! Food is good not amazing.

It is the best restraunt i have been to on the central coast. There are beautiful veiws of the ocean and high quality food.

It's okay the food is OKAY! It could have been Better?? The Food WAS a 5 I know that the chef could have done better! They mention this raspberry vinaigrette dressing! LOL it was heavy olive oil on the salad, Salad he just opened up a box of greens and threw a handful on the plate no nothing pretty cucumber, no radishes. For 120.00 meal for two ? I will not go there AGAIN.

Great food! The waitress was stretched thin... not her fault; they just need more workers. I had the clam chowder and Sapphire Sunset drink. Fish and chips were excellent as well.

Had heard such wonderful things about this place. Food was average. We had the blackened scallops and shrimp. Small portion for the price. Good flavor but could have been heated more. Clam chowder was large portion but not hot enough. View was wonderful and corkage fee was great. Might come back at Happy Hour for view.

It might seem like it is going to fall off the cliff but this place is solid and reliable. It has outstanding views and amazing food. They do a great job of fusion Mexican American food. That is not TexMex but yummy real Mexican blended with healthy American options. Good kids menu helps as well.

No matter what you have to try the all you can eat Sunday buffet. We came to town for the weekend and wanted to dine at a place with an ocean view. We were discouraged by the $41/person cost plus the 30 minute wait but honestly so glad we stayed. Just the snow crab legs were enough to make it all worth it. There's an omelette bar and bunch of other good food. We saved the crab legs for last and we ate until we couldn't anymore. The desserts are amazing.

They have two options for alcohol that's included in the buffet which includes limited mimosa. Not sure what the limit is but we had a lot. There's different flavors other than orange juice like guava. Coffee is included which is the only thing I didn't like. There's other alcohol you can buy at additional cost.

Anyways will definitely be coming back for more.
