We had a delicious dinner here on Saturday evening for a nice price. Despite the large crowds we quickly had a table for 4 people. The friendly waiter took great care of us. I went home very happy.

Big, free parking for buses at the hotel great for breakfast very nice rooms, shower, large bath tub, outside the center, quiet when I walked there in the morning I saw only young, young, white Dutch and Dutch and maid.

A missed opportunity at the Van der Valk hotel chain ...

We regularly spend the night at van der Valk, but this time they clearly miss the point.

Booked overnight stay in a luxury suite. What do I see a few minutes later? That there is also an arrangement for the same price!

The package included breakfast, a 4-course dinner and a bottle of champagne. Wouldn't everyone use that?

You would think that van der Valk would implement this without any problems, as this hotel chain has "hospitality" of paramount importance, but nothing could be further from the truth!

Nothing is possible. Booked bad luck. A real shame and disappointing though. We don't necessarily need that 4-course dinner, but a free breakfast and possibly a bottle of champagne or wine with it would have been good for us.

No, we no longer think along with the customer at all, where this used to be. I suspect that van der Valk "again" has taken a new path, only this time not a positive one, like last time.

Can only say sorry for this short-sightedness and not responding to your (loyal) customers.

Sitting outside on the terrace on one sunny Saturday in September. Ordered 12 hours. Very tasty and affordable. At van der valk always more than enough for a reasonable price. Cozy sparrows in the tree next door. Very entertaining. A nice place to enjoy lunch together with my husband. Easy parking. Tasty cakes that you can choose from the display case

Recently went to the life cooking buffet with a couple of friends. Although it is somewhat reminiscent of a Turkish all-inclusive resort restaurant due to the size and mass of people, the food and service is totally incomparable. Very wide range of good food and drinks. Super nice staff! It was an all-in price, but that was in no way noticeable. Recommended!

My rating for this hotel is not high, also taking into account the price / quality ratio.
I booked the hotel specially because it advertised with a wellness, but this was a very big disappointment.
The swimming pool was only available for half as all day (you read correctly: the whole day) swimming lessons were given to small children without stopping.
I stayed at the hotel for two days and that was the same for two days: a swimming pool full of splashing children and loud talk from swimming teachers.
This seemed to me as a fraudulent advertisement. The impression is created that you as a hotel guest (in peace !!) can use the entire swimming pool, but that turns out to be only half. As a result, the small part that is still available for hotel guests quickly becomes much too busy, leaving hardly any room to swim properly.
The wellness is also located in the part where these children received swimming lessons. So the zen peace was far away. The relax lounge cannot be closed off from the pool area, with the result that there is no question of relaxing.
The fireplace in the relax lounge, which looks so beautiful in the photos, also did not work. And of the two saunas, which by the way were very small in relation to the size of the hotel, only one worked. A phone call to the reception to address this problem has not helped.
The standard deluxe room does not have a bar. The fridge was not stocked, and whoever wanted drinks in the room had to go get them at the bar and take them back to the hotel room. As far as I was concerned there was therefore little "luxury".
To conclude, my husband and I ate salmon the last evening, which turned out to be spoiled, resulting in nausea and vomiting.
Conclusion: I am used to getting a much better quality for what I have paid elsewhere.

All meat and fish are dry and overcooked, food is poorly replenished, waiters hardly come by to ask for drinks or to pick up the plates.
Real food waste! Left hungry and thirsty.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms and a delicious and incredibly extensive breakfast buffet. That alone is worth the trouble to book a night at this hotel. We will certainly come more often!

Not a beautiful building on the outside, but neat and tidy on the inside. Operation was also super fast and good. The menu is very boring for lunch. Especially if you want to eat vegetarian. The healthy girl was downright disappointing. They were 3 slices of brown bread with 2 slices of cheese in-between and some lettuce, half an egg and a little pickle. Especially dry. Board with croquettes of exactly that and nothing extra at all.

It shouldn't have been like this, really a shame!
Normally I don't like places like this but it is not really customer friendly. Or yes?

Yesterday we entered the Africa Suite. Beautiful room with all the trimmings. Whatever you pay well for, 329 - (breakfast 30) - (mini bar 15) = 284 for the room.

After about 15 minutes the jacuzzi stopped working. Neat for dinner - (at Van der Valk in the restaurant) (18:00) reported at the reception. The hotel manager had gone to test during dinner and the jacuzzi just ran full throttle for 15 minutes . Nothing to worry about, according to the reception. Oh yes, tip from the reception: next time when he stops calling, someone can come and have a look.

A small summary about the rest of the evening:

20:00 | Nice in Bath
20: 30 | Jacuzzi shuts down. We waited a while to see if there is a break system in the jacuzzi and it will turn on again.

20:50 | Called reception. "Someone comes right away"
21:30 | Still nobody. The jacuzzi suddenly turns on again. Called and indicated that we will go back in and see how long the jacuzzi can last.

21:37 | Jacuzzi shuts down. Called and now he (someone without technical knowledge, because the technical service does not work in the evenings) was right at the door. Let's see, oh yes power cable loose. I'll go get some gloves. In the meantime asked if there is not another room, because you just don't feel like it on such an evening. You just want to enjoy yourself!
21: 55 | The gentleman who went to get his gloves did not return, but instead came the host of the reception. Also a little cuckolding..ohja separate separately. Yes separately. Me: Your colleague indicated that a power cable was loose and he went to get gloves .
Host: Well it isn't. But I don't see what it is either. Separate. Separate. Very strange. Never experienced this .

Meanwhile, negotiations have started:
Me: So there is no other room available?
Host: No we are completely full. (And here he was shocked by his words) "Even the rooms where something is wrong are fully booked, uhhh I don't mean that there is something wrong with this room .."
What I can do is bring a bottle of bubbles to the room and take breakfast off the price.
Me: Yes, bring that bottle, but that's fine, but I don't agree with this compensation, I think you understand that too ..

In the meantime we had accepted that the Jacuzzi was not working and we just wanted to make something out of it! Because there was also a steam cabin & a sauna.

22: 15 | Host calls: "Hello sir, what I can do for you is also take the minibar off the room rate."

Back to the room to finish the story.

22: 30 | We turn on the light of the bathroom and dark the entire bathroom. Short circuit stopping tripped .. believe it or not. Yes really.

Meanwhile, while writing this down, I think it's getting more and more comical, but that aside.

22: 45 | Called reception. I'll be right there. And will raise the stoppers again, so that you have light again.

23: 15 | Still no light and the host is at the door with a construction lamp. "Yes, this is an emergency solution, but let's see if it works." After some calls back and forth with the technical service (they do exist) the light turned on. I'm guessing around 11:30 pm.

The evening could begin!
Or was the evening almost over?
Oh yeah. The bath just didn't work. Because the motor was broken. Can happen. You know nothing about it. Too bad bad luck. Better luck next time.

Do you know; It can all happen and that we are just bad luck. But arrange your affairs properly.

Nice meeting place, the service is downright bad. We meet here more often (coffee restaurant, meetings). As a customer it is important to call the ministry yourself, otherwise your arrests will not be noticed. Not being served for half an hour is standard. An exception to all vd Valk restaurants that I visit for meetings: no idea why things are so bad here with the alertness of the service?

We come to different v.d. several times a year. Falcon hotels. Not only for the environment but also for the room, the experience of luxury. Unfortunately, this is not possible in this standard deluxe room.
The room was dark with red and black colors (different from the photo on the website) and overlooked the parking lot where cars are coming and going, the bathroom spacious but in this room I could not stay a night (because of my condition). Totally different from the other hotels, it felt like a busy roadside hotel ... The lobby is busy, the corridor is busy with people going to the pool. This while I asked for a quiet room with a view. If they had told me that there was no view and that quiet is not what suits the hotel, I could have canceled my reservation.

After less than 5 minutes in the room we went to the counter to ask if we could get a part of the money back because we didn't want to stay there. She looked for another room but said she didn't have a better one. And because it was after noon we had to pay the full amount. Because I really couldn't sleep there, I paid the amount. So 84 lighter, with a heavily disappointed feeling back home ... I do not understand that some leniency was possible regarding the return of part of the amount. The room does not need to be cleaned, we would no longer use breakfast. It was annoying enough for us that our outing had been so disappointing.
In short: for overnight accommodation only fine for the van der Valk feeling don't go here!

Here in the pictures you don't see a suite but a normal room, I got to know the suites last year and I can only say: they are great!

One Van der Valk is not the other. The menu is different from, for example, in Vianen, which (as far as I'm concerned) is better. Despite this it is a nice hotel and restaurant and friendly staff.

We are always satisfied in terms of food and staff, but this time we had a nasty place to sit ... against a wall where the tables and chairs were too close to each other. You couldn't even sit in your chair unless you first had to drag things around ... that certainly didn't think that if you are so tight you should not place a chair with handrails. Very annoying if you come to dine with an aged lady.
