My girlfriend and I were supposed to stay at Hotel...

My girlfriend and I were supposed to stay at Hotel Van der Valk Akersloot for 4 nights, but had to check out earlier. Our bedding was covered with black dust. This was against our expectations, because we had called before booking our holiday to indicate that we have dust (dust mite) allergies. In addition, a four-star hotel should have basic hygiene.

We did not say anything on the first day, assuming that the linen would be changed the next day. But we already had a stuffy nose, itching, burning eyes and my girlfriend had a rash; I had it now and then.
On the second day we went to the reception to request that the beds be cleaned. In addition, there was an unpleasant sewage smell in the bathroom. We were promised they would pick it up. But this had not happened.
In the afternoon we called the reception and then it was said that we had to pay extra, because linen change actually happens every other day. Quite absurd if the beds were not clean when we arrived. Ultimately it was agreed to carry out our request without additional payment. In addition, we were promised that the bed linen would be changed daily. However, the daily change of bed linen was done only after repeated requests.

In short, our mini vacation was ruined. The service was extremely bad. It was exhausting chasing the same problem all the time. We tried to enjoy our vacation, but now we feel more ill than rested. A few things have not been rectified from the Van der Valk Akersloot hotel. We will never come here again.

Very nice modernized hotel.

Very nice modernized hotel.
The hotel is centrally located on the motorway between Alkmaar and Amsterdam.
The staff was very friendly.
The associated restaurant serves very good food.
The spa area with pool invites you to relax, unfortunately, you have to pay for the bathrobe with a deposit and with deposit.

Fantastic hotel, perhaps the best hotel I have ever been to. The service in particular is superior (and you don't often experience that anymore). Rooms are very neat, spacious and have good beds and an excellent shower. Breakfast is spacious and good, dinner (of course a la carte) is very tasty and not too expensive.

The hotel also has a beautiful swimming pool (25m pool) with saunas and a whirlpool which hotel guests can use free of charge. Although the hotel was almost full, it was quiet here during our stay.

If I could give six stars I would have done that!

A beautiful hotel, with an extensive restaurant, and very nice and helpful service. Delicious unlimited, and very, very versatile food, for a fixed decent price. Unfortunately I cannot judge the hotel package because I have never done so. Therefore, unfortunately not 5, but 4 stars. But did I do that and that is also the end, that last star will of course be added!
In short ... a treat recommended

We only came here to have dinner on the way. The food was downright bad, shoe sole of a steak and the beans were dry and chewy. After reporting, we were allowed to order again. This time the food arrived within 2 minutes, indicating that it is not freshly prepared. And you can taste that too. If you eat for 3 euros with 3 people, you expect a bit more ... too bad.

Too bad, everything takes too long. After fifteen minutes
only helped after a few guests arrived and were immediately helped. It was not busy, where are you? Everything here is slow and slow, sleep-inducing. Next time we will continue, really a shame

Had an overnight stay here with dinner.
Hotel is very massive and busy.
Rooms have been renovated, good bed and shower. The outside of the hotel is dated. Distance from reception to the room was at least 10 minutes. Dinner was good and tasteful.

Lunched yesterday and that was very disappointing....

Lunched yesterday and that was very disappointing. 2x 12 hours of which the soup was cold and the croquette just lukewarm. No spoon with the soup. Soup returned and got the bowls exchanged back just as cold. Nobody asked if it was satisfactory. It was mentioned that we found it very poor. Many young staff who don't know what to do with it.
Unfortunately. Not worthy of Van der Valk.

Only had lunch, chicken satay. Historical low point. Some meat squeezed around skewer, not overcooked, chewed on plate with sweet and sour, too little satay, not hot etc etc. That costs 17.50 ......, shame. Now you don't go to a Van der Valk for culinary delicacy, but this was very poor unfortunately.

We had booked an Ibiza Suite at this hotel for a fairly high price, this is of course a choice that we have made. Nevertheless, we expect that this is also in top form. When turning on the TV, the remote control batteries appeared to be empty, I walked down nicely to have this replaced. Afterwards being comfortable in the bubble bath, you had to screw in the caps yourself as they were loose? Tip, watch out for getting in and out of this bath, we have both been hurt badly (huge bruise visible) on the edge of this bath because there is no anti-slip mat. Tucked nicely on the bed and want to put the fireplace on, again the batteries of empty :-(, I do not keep walking down. Then but the lighting next to our bed, even 1 piece. For this amount you can Expect everything to be in perfect shape! When checking out I made a mention of the batteries, I was not told this check In. Because the bruise really started to hurt I still contacted the mail because there was no note of it they can't do anything from checking out. They actually say I'm making something up. The photos sent on with our bruises, and never received any response. This is Vander Valk's service! Very bad how they handle the complaints.

For the price of the room is not top cleanliness leaves something to be desired on the wall frame the headboard the trash of the bathroom and the bathtub too ... the housekeeper was she on leave that day ? I am staying in some hotels with fewer stars but much cleaner. Good otherwise the home was still satisfactory access to the pool wifi gym free sauna but given the state of the room I'm afraid to go elsewhere

Had a good lunch, served quickly, no checks were made in between. Now we didn't need anything but if you want something you have to interrupt your meal to get attention. Food was good fresh fries and salad well stocked.

Personal rude limit, rooms in a state of cleanliness more than limit (up to a poop of nose well spread on the window) and the activities proposed its excessively expensive .. In positive the lunch is really nice as well as the covered swimming pool. The hotel is well located on the roadside to Amsterdam.
