The nicest, cleanest resort with the most pleasant employees. I was in a group of 19 and everyone feels the same about this resort. Food pretty good for all inclusive its just a beautiful place. You won't want to leave and the shots of Don Julio will keep a smile on your face believe me I know...

The food at this resort is the best! I mean....the absolute best! Great people. Very friendly and very social. Customer service is great! Drinks always there so your never short of alcohol or water. Never had an issue nor do I really have a complaint. Only complaint I can give is understanding which lights turned off what in my suite lol. Other then that, this place is #1 on my list and can't wait to visit again!

Worst place. They robbed our room, stole jewelry and money from our safe. Then denied ever coming into our room. They claimed they investigated it, became very upset when he thought I took his picture. Biggest nightmare. Americans have no rights. They refused to call the local police. This is a nightmare. I ve contacted 60 minutes, and any other social media I can. Yelp and any other reviews I can. Please guest be very weary. This place is NOT what it appears to be. I grew up dirt poor, believing in people, trusting people, this is unreal. I work hard for what I have, and in the blink of an eye, it was taken. From Valentine Imperial resort staff. Don t let all those hellos and welcome home fool you. They want you to be comfortable and then bam... we are building 2. After security came, I placed a do not enter sign on our door. Went to eat, came back, they were back in the room again!!! With the do not disturb sign on the door. This is not good for business. Run while you can.

I am I awe!! The service was impeccable and the resort beautiful.

We are so disappointed with their customer service. Booked through Cheap Caribbean, for 3/1/15-3/6/15 of course Sparta and then Thor, the storms hit leaving us stranded in ABQ no flight to Dallas for 2 days to connect to Cancun. Called the hotel to see if I could move the reservation 2 extra days, even pay for the room, but between Cheap Caribbean and the Valentin they kept the full amount of our trip. We had reserved a suite, and according to them there were no rooms available for the 2 extra days we needed. We know they did have rooms because we called, but instead of doing the right thing, they kept all of our $ and sold our suite again....this was a national weather disaster. Thanks Valentin and Cheap Caribbean for all your help.

Great all-inclusive resort. Every night DJ. Amazing pool. Great service. Lot of food and whine choices. Adult-only is a very nice touch especially at pool and beach.

The strict dress code offers the opportunity to dress-up/pretty-up without being the odd one out.

This place is so awesome. I love it. I will be back. My husband and I Celebrated our 30th Anniversary it was so amazing.

We have been to this resort twice, both times with some friends. I cannot suggest visiting this place enough. Every type of person can enjoy this amazing place. They have everything from exercise to sitting at the beach bars drinking. The room service is always fantastic, the restaurants are amazing and drinks are ENDLESS!!!! The service is top notch and always over the top. Want a martini? Hit martini bar. What a beer? Hit the sports bar. Fancy a cigar or exotic hookah experience? The cigar and hookah bar will for sure cure your cravings. Don miguel can provide you with next level craft cocktails.

Amazing resort.. Just got back 2 days ago and my wife and I loved every single moment spent there. Very clean, service was great, food was fabulous, and over all it was a great experience definitely going back.

Always Beautiful here , the people are fantastic , my wife wishes that they would have Muscato Wine , and there is always a shortage of wash cloths , for some reason. I guess we'll bring our own ..... LOL Two very minor things , compared to everything else , which is Wonderful.

Super clean, compliant with all necessary means of keeping us safe and healthy, our concierge Veronica was super nice and helpful, Victor at the pool bar was awesome! Omar at the ocean service was amazing, Angel at the Hacienda restaurant made us feel like we we're family, the Head Chef at the Hacienda came over and introduced himself and made us the most incredible shrimp al mojo de ajo yum.

Wear elegant xk shoes you can not go to dinner at all restaurants. Very nice hotel, excellent service

Lots of restaurant choices, employees always friendly. Plenty of entertainment options if you aren't the type to lounge by the beach or pool all day. Rooms are mostly updated.

This place was super fantastic overall. Beach was great, pools were great, food was great. Very romantic location. Highly highly recommended for a couple. Not a party place at all. My only complaint was that facility didn't enforce rules where people drop a magazine on a beach seat and expect it to be saved all day. We are getting married here in 2019.

This place is incredible. This is our third time here and we have had nothing less than a perfect time everytime. This is an adults only all inclusive

It's beautiful, landscape is fabulous, accommodation is great. Mattress and pillows very comfortable. Breakfast and lunch buffet is very good. Evening meals were very poor, in all the restaurants we tried. Staff are hard working but inconsistent, especially the concierge. Lots of miss information. Beach is great but can only enter the sea in one place due to the very rough sea. Wifi worked ok. Drinks were not great especially cocktails. Place to relax . Lots of entertainment if you want it.

Absolutely terrific stay. The staff is wonderful and the place is spectacular. It's very large, so quiet for people who want a nice relaxing vacation, but also full of life for those who want a more party atmosphere. The restaurants are amazing. The only exception, do not get a burger. Seriously it's a disappointment. The food at the restaurant between 4:30 and 6 is very meh.
I would definitely recommend it here to anyone who is looking for a vacation at Playa del Carmen

We loved our time at this resort. The service is great, the rooms are nice, and the rest of the facilities are plenty luxurious. I won't be surprised if we make it back here in the next couple years.

Best pool party ever! Foam! Great staff, good food. So much to do! I've been both in the fall and the spring, and loved it both times. Rooms are large clean and airy. Food and drink were good. There was a long quiet pool, the main party pool and of course the lovely pristine beaches. So many restaurants to choose from, lots of evening entertainment. Room service for that lazy morning, awesome! Comfy beds. All around fantastic trips.

My wife and I stayed at the VIM in January of 2015. Our trip was 6 nights, 7 days. This resort is off the charts as far as excellence. We normally never stay at the same resort twice and already have booked our return trip for this January. We cannot find a single thing wrong with this resort. The staff is beyond friendly, drinks were top shelf, beaches were pristine and the entire resort is built in a natural habitat left preserved. Our room was the Golden junior suite which was stunning. All of the restaurants served the finest of food and you have many choices. We are counting down the days to return to our new home!

I can t say enough good things about this resort. My boyfriend & I, (mid-late 20 s) stayed in May/18 for eight days. They have many activities that keep you occupied during your stay, so you don t feel like you have to leave the resort! Every morning there are multiple fitness classes on land & in the water as well as shows/contests at the pool and beach all afternoon. (Volleyball, belly dancing, etc). We 100% recommend the bike tour; you get to see the parts of the resort the average guest would not. The late night shows are also great; some better than others, but you don t want to miss the circus show! The food is also excellent. Breakfast/lunch are buffet with options for any kind of food restriction/picky eater. For dinners just make sure the men bring a pair of long pants to get into the restaurants! Many food options for restaurants, but if you re a foodie you definitely have to try the Indonesian, French & Sushi restaurants. I would give the food an 8/10 for flavour and 11/10 for presentation. Also don t forget to bring $1/$5 US bills for tipping; the service is worth it! Another must is the martini bar. The cocktails are delicious and the staff incredible! We sat at the bar most nights and the bartenders are hilarious and definitely know what they re doing, especially Enrique! We were blown away at how much work these staff do in order to make your stay enjoyable. Lastly, the grounds are so lush and well maintained, great for photos! They will give you the option of upgrading your room when you check in for around $70US. We stayed with our original room and was just as pleased :) Everything is within walking distance, but they do have a golf cart service that will pick you up if you ve had too many martinis ;) Thanks for a great stay!!

Incredible experience! We are here for our honeymoon, and this resort is top-tier. The facilities are excellent, and it feels like there's plenty of room and space for an intimate experience. The restaurants are very good, and everyone on staff is eager to please.

Well but the beach is not up to it .. I was, I liked but ... I can not say that I will return

We visited in October, 2018. My husband is a real homebody and doesn't like going away so I did a lot of research before choosing the Valentin. It was our first vacation in 24 years and I knew if it wasn't extraordinary my husband would never go on another trip. The Valentin Imperial Maya did not disappoint.

From the first moment until the last, our expectations were exceeded again and again. The hospitality was phenomenal and we were treated like royalty. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming that we immediately felt valued and appreciated for choosing to vacation at the VIM.

Several people stood out and made our stay just that much better and deserve special recognition; Elsie was our server at breakfast and lunch every day at the Mar y Tierra restaurant and was incredibly attentive and helpful. Julian was part of the Go Team. He was very inclusive and drew people into all the activities. Hector was our evening server at Mar y Tierra and he was so good that we ate there twice, skipping trying another of the restaurants in favor of seeing him again.

Our vacation at the VIM was so special that we are already planning a return next October. One visit just wasn't enough. Truly, it was paradise on Earth.

Great location, not too big or small, excellent service. Beach is amazing, snorkel for free or go out with a group, we had lots of fun here.

This is our third time staying at this hotel. The food is excellent, service is excellent, and the staff are also excellent! We will certainly return!

The resort was well taken care of and more importantly well secured. The staff members were always cheerful and willing to help. The resort has all kind of amenities plus a beautiful view of the ocean. I had a terrific time the eight days I stayed there.

Really classy resort. They might have been watering down the Don Julio however... which was probably a good thing!

Awesome experience, we didn't want to leave. We came here with my wife and enjoyed the whole experience. The pool is great, the beach was free of sargazo as they clean it all the time. We recommend the Italian restaurant over all the others.

July 2018___WOW! A corner of paradise! Everything is very good: reception, room and comfort, site, food and restaurants, service, activities offered, drinks, atmosphere. Unlike some reviews, the toilets were very clean everywhere. Disappointments: The only yoga class a day is at 7:10. I wanted to do it but I found it much too early. / Seaweed at the beach: a new reality in Mexico ... it is to be expected. We had a wonderful week!

Good place to stay although i think a little over priced. Nice beach and pool area. Staff was awesome and rooms where very comfortable. Food was the only major downside which at in all inclusive is really a big part of it as you don't get a lot of choices. Their breakfast needs some major help. But overall had a good experience.

Best all-inclusive resort for adults. Exce8food, clean rooms, manicured landscape and amazing service. Value is unbeatable!

Love this resort. Feels like Mexico unlike other places. Great food and drinks throughout. Beach is fabulous when the sargasso isnt present. Many room options. Rooms large and spacious with all the amenities you could want. Going back for sure!

Our room was fantastic and serviced several times a day. The excursions were so much fun! The beach was beautiful and had plenty of room for seating. Plenty of shopping opportunities. They had exercise and other activities available everyday at varying times. The entertainment was okay but not the best I've seen. Food was fantastic and had plenty of options. The drinks were delicious but a third of the time they were made with the wrong liquor. Due to the drinks and entertainment I rate them a 4 out of 5.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Valentin Imperial Maya. It was our first time and we loved the spacious, tropical grounds, friendly and bilingual staff, and it's many amenities. There are several bars located throughout the hotel where a full bar and bartender are available to provide you with your drink of choice, including 2 swim up bars at the pool. The beach that is accessible through this hotel is superior to many of the other hotels in the Cancun area because in addition to the lawn chairs, shading, volleyball courts, and lifeguards, the beach itself has a shallow gradient, calmer waves, a swimmable area free of rocks, and crystal clear water. The hotel has 7 restaurants with unique culinary experiences, our favorites were the Japanese, Indonesian, and Steakhouse. Even the most entry level rooms are elegant and spacious, including a Jacuzzi tub and multiple housekeeping cleanings a day. The main concern to this location would be if you are susceptible to mosquito bites as they are common in the Riviera Maya area. Throughout the bars and restaurants, the staff offers complimentary Off(R) Spray to help keep you protected. Additionally, I cut my foot on the base of the pool in a game of water polo, likely from pushing off the floor too hard. The staff are constantly replacing the tile in the pool so hopefully this won't be a recurring issue. All in all, I will be considering this a top stay and my top choice for vacationing upon returning to this area of Mexico.

This is a good size resort plenty of places to eat plenty of things to do or if you don't want to do anything plenty of places to do absolutely nothing. Several pools to choose from. They clean up and sanitation is for notch. I stayed in building 6 of the swim up pool buildings.

It is absolutely magnificent here! It is adult only, the customer care is the absolute best. It is very fitness friendly. You can take morning runs on the property amidst all the beautiful greenery or enjoy the 24hr gulf cart pickups to wherever you're trying to go.
You don't have to sabotage your healthy eating at all here. There are plenty of healthy options that are delicious!
The rooms are cozy with all the necessary amenities. We came in mid December and the beauty of that is that there are no bugs to contend with and the weather is warm but not suffocating! Well, off to the beach! I would Most certainly return!

This place is top notch! It's very big but it's a good thing people that means more privacy. It feels like your own private estate with awesome staff that are always there to help. Seriously, this place is crazy nice and the food is the best of any resort that I've ever been to. I have been sending pics of the food to Facebook and Instagram and people can't believe I'm at an all inclusive. Usually the food is bland and nasty but not at this place. They are on point here.

Stayed there Jan. 25-Feb. 1 2017, loved it, Went as a group of 4 couples. Food and drinks were great, loved that they had coors light which we all drink!!! Rooms were very nice and the bed was to die for. Fun pool activities each day, nice entertainment every evening, especially the band called " The Band", played all great hits of the seventies. Staff was great,especially Jorge, Melanie, Enrique,Joel, Brian,Dora and Millie, made our stay so much fun. We liked so much, planning on going back next year.

We just returned from our first visit to Valentin Imperial and have already discussed when we'll return with our group because of the amazing experience we had during our stay! The grounds are beautifully maintained on a well-laid out resort. Sure, there's a walk between places, but that kept it from ever feeling "clustered" with people. The selection of restaurants is second-to-none and the food at most was incredible. Our room was regularly restocked with towels and drinks and the staff throughout the resort were always friendly and helpful. We only had a few minor issues during our 7-day stay with our group of 8. We did run into some issues waiting for extended periods at restaurants, even when getting there around 6 pm (though, this wouldn't be an issue for a smaller group or once you reach privilege). People like to "reserve" the somewhat limited pool and beach seating early on with towels/books. The gym is small, especially during the 8 - 10 am rush, but the machines are well-maintained! Overall, though, we felt well-accommodated and truly cared for by staff during our group trip and will recommend the resort to friends in the future!

Ok my wife and I have been here for a little more than 24 hours. Every bite we ve had to eat has been remarkable, the staff has been attentive beyond belief, the rooms are CLEAN, quiet, and the layout of the resort itself took us 15 minutes to figure out. You can t walk a path without a shuttle asking if you need a ride. EVERYBODY speaks perfect English. If you re afraid of traveling to Mexico, you have nothing at all to worry about. Federal Police all over the place between the airport and the resorts. This place is fantastic and we already can t wait to bring our family back.

This was our first time to an all inclusive resort. The personal were very friendly and we had a good 5 day stay. They are 5 restaurants, but they are not all open every day. There are two restaurants that serve breakfast and lunch buffets. Also there are room service options that are very good as well. Bring a food supply of single US dollars as tips. There is nightly entertainment, we saw a good magic show and dance. I personally like the French restaurant best of all. There are many bars which include seeing up options at their pools. The beach is very pretty and you can arrange for issue excursions if you just don't want to chill and relax. I took a snorkeling trip to see turtles and a fresh water cave.

We stayed there for 2 weeks. That was the best vacation in a long time.

Nice all-inclusive resort. Good food, good drinks, good beach. Plenty of activity at the resort to stay busy but also plenty of room to stay away from it all and just relax.

Good hotel for couples, friendly staff, Noemi in Le Marche & the entertainment team is great especially Sairy, Hervey, Renata and all of them... everything is well planned, alacarte restaurants are available everynight and the one you have to reserve is the same day reserv., rather than being from way ahead. I would surely recommend it and think these guys are doing a great job. They will try to upsell you to better room when you arrive don't go for it. (ITS ADULTS ONLY FYI)

I have been to many resorts and hands down this is one of the best. Great entertainment at night esp the fire show. beautiful resort, great staff and food!

Currently staying here. Everything has been great so far! The only downside is the beach closes at five :/ everyone is super nice and tries to make you feel as comfortable as possible. 100% will return in the future.
