Loads of people stating you need a bad credit rati...

Loads of people stating you need a bad credit rating to be given credit. This is actually absurd and a fairly petty way of reviewing a company. I have borrowed from V12 about 5 times now and never had any issues. 3 musical instruments and 2 bikes. I have a high credit rating as per credit wise.

Just wanted to share my thoughts, got accepted instantly for 12 months interest free on a rather expensive gift for my fiancee, made 4 months worth of payments and on the 5th month paid off in full via their online portal, no problems at all and no fees! I do not fully understand the bad reviews. Perhaps people do not read the finance agreement properly . I have purchased many things though V12 on BINPL ( Buy now pay later ) , their staff have allways been helpful . I will knock off a star due to the online portal does not mention or detail the interest free period . Though staff will happily explain it when called .

Bought a bike from Halfords using V12 - no problems at all. 0% interest over 12 months made it way more affordable than a credit card! At the beginning of the finance period, I had to call to change my monthly repayment date - was done quickly and easily.

As with quiet a few people, my husband and I have tried to get interest free credit with this company (excellent credit references 992 & 999 out of 999) and get turned down lol - had we not really like the sofa set we would have walked out of the shop but have now bought the furniture with cash - as a lot have stated it seems that if you have good credit rating they don't want you - just praying on the ones that can't afford it!!!!!

Very poor customer service, would recommend to avoid this company. Stated I was of work for a few weeks due to surgery they wanted to put me straight to debt recovery even though I had the means to pay and was looking at the most efficient way to do so. Paid the bill and never use these lowlifes again

Hassle free applied for finance after been declined by creation got referred asked me for statement and passport to prove identity which i promptly sent with less than 24 hours got accepted and my new tv on the way what can i say top stuff merry Xmas v12 finance and interest rate 19% compared 29% everywhere else

My credit rating is fair and I ve never struggled to get accepted with this company. I ve got just got a bike out on finance with them on top of something else and I got accepted straight away, and they re always helpful when you ring them.

My experience of V12 with three agreements is excellent they are most reasonable and flexible and appear to operate on an ethical basis. The staff are courteous and polite and I would have no hesitation in using them again.

They ve never had loans etc so the finance agreement was deferred and they provided the relevant ID. 2 days of hearing nothing, my mother rang the company only to be told that she is not allowed to use my dads email address. (She doesn t have a email address herself) and that basically, if she hadn t Of just rang up to enquire about the finance progressing, well, she wouldn t have known what was going off. They had her mobile number so could have notified her via phone of their finance decision. She was then told on the phone that she d have to do it all again online. No thanks. They ll take their custom elsewhere. I don t see why a email address should matter. Not all over 60 s have the internet and email access you know. Pretty poor service really all over a email address...

Took credit out to pay for something. Then tried to pay the debt off with a credit card before the repayment started. Was told i wasn't allowed to pay a 19.9% debt off with a credit card. Says nothing in the credit agreement. SHARKS!!

Tried to get finance for a purchase, was asked to send a bank statement as proof of income, I sent the statement but they wouldn't accept it as it's a joint account and my wife's name was the main name on the account even though my name was clearly displayed in the corner of the statement along with account number etc. They obviously didn't want my custom.

Absolutely shocking service. Don't make things very clear. Charge nearly twice the amount the item is worth. Hide things in terms and conditions. How a big company {AO} can use a shocking service like V12. I don't know. Catch you out and then trap you down. Be careful if you have to use this company.

If I had one question to ask this company it would be...who exactly is your target customer base.



So I'm struggling to work out who this company's target customer base is and bearing in mind how ridiculously stringent they are, how they actually have any customers to be able to trade as a business.

Anyway, to highlight this company's utter foolishness, I set up a loan on a good rate with no trouble whatsoever the following day, despite the decline the day before.

Utter joke of a company and I'd love to know the finance application pass rates because I bet it's less than 10% based on the consensus online!

Used this company through scan to buy a laptop and they have been pretty silent benefactors except when I needed to change my address for billing purposes (least I thought I had to) but the man was very helpful and said nope it's all tied to your bank.

Never had any problems financially so I guess I'm one of the lucky ones so I can't comment on their service that much but based off of my experience with them if you are financially sound and honest about how much you can repay at the start everything works fine.

Very nice lady called Sam called me to make sure everything was OK and to check my details were correct. Had a problem with an item I bought from a retailer and Sam from V12 was helpful and is on the case with the retailer. Sam is very keen on resolving the issue and getting the best outcome.

If you can avoid using this company do so. I Applied for credit and was accepted in aug 2020 after purchasing a 3+2 from a well known sofa company. Delivery date October. Due to changed circumstances I wanted my delivery to change to a different address big mistake your not aloud to move and although the sofa company was happy to accept the change of address and book delivery once the finance company got wind of this I was called and grilled like a criminal who was about to defraud them. I spoke to a rude young man and then asked to speak to a manager I explained I gifted my sofa to a local charity and now I m being refused 5 days before delivery I can prove my identity etc but he was having none of it and the credit was cancelled and the delivery will be cancelled so thanks for that being honest had the opposite affect and made me look suspicious and that I was about to defraud them. Surely they would want to know we re the goods would be delivered although if I d have not called to explain a change of address delivery would have been made I could have been there to sign for it with an awaiting hire van and scarpered now that would have been dishonest and fraud and that would have been fine. So being honest got my credit stopped I ve not got any other huge unpaid debts and have a credit card with a large credit limit and this company griddled me like the police spoke down to me and accused me of being suspicious and a fraud risk I ve never been as insulted in my life. At 0 Apr they seem to want bad payers so that they can benefit from default charges etc and if not they just drop you at last minute and make accusations all because I wanted my sofa delivered 5 miles away from the address when I made my application In August. So please don t think that if you get accepted your goods will come I d waited 9wk - 10 wk for a delivery and dropped at last minute so we re spending Christmas on the floor but the good news from the finance manager is I can make a new application online with my new address and re-apply according to them and wait another 9-10 wk with the sofa company and make a completely different order with the sofa company as the previous order as been cancelled NO THNKS stuff it Were the sun don t shine. Please for your own mental health don t bother look elsewhere calling Cardiff to this company and Covid cut backs then being let down days before delivery just before Christmas all because of trying to do the honest thing as not just left us on the floor but my brain is fried and as stated earlier treated & spoken to like a criminal.They do not care when it s a 0apr

These are a joke, during this hard time I arranged a payment date with them and a payment holiday. I get harassed on a daily basis emails and txts saying pay your missed payment. I spoke to them, they said sorry but still keep gettting harassed. Like times are not hard enough. Worst company ive delt with.

Terrible, Hideous company with below ZERO customer skills or care. You will NEVER get an email reply and they will ask you to call and wait over an HOUR for no-one to pick up the phone. And when you email them to call you, they never will.
And on the webpage it says "up to 20 minutes".

I have dealt with company many times before and repaid early. But after making a application with them a few days ago I was told where to go.
They turn anyone down with history or not and with perfect history
They must be short of money to lend so please read all the one stare reviews, before making a application and marking your credit file. As there is a good chance you will be refused. You have been warned..

I always find V12 finance a reasonable company to deal with. I've had many finance plans with them via various retailers and genuinely find it hassle free. When I make an application for a larger ticket item in store who confirm they use V12 finance I would always choose this option. Perfect for me and my needs

Very rude customer service, the customer service staff was not emphatic and not helpful. I was only asking for information (after passing the security) about the agreement and she told me to go back to my vendor! A question could be answered by a yes or no and yet she just kept on talking. I was asking about the phone number of their company and said it should be on my screeen, I would not ask in the first place. What she doesn't know was my blood pressure was already going high and yet she still kept not recognising that she needs to slow down and only answer questions and be helpful. Extremely rude!

After reading some reviews I was sceptical about taking out some finance with these guys but from my personal experience I have had no problems whatsoever and btw I have an excellent credit score, so for the people that have said they only accept people with bad credit hoping that they will get into financial difficulty this has not been the case for me. I was charged even though you knew my policy was cancelled 42 days prior. Laptops direct were withholding the money. You were fully awear of this along with the fact laptops direct were ignoring your response for the refund. Why I should be the one to occur the costs because of this is beyond me. Initially told I would have to wait upwards to 50+ days to get this sorted, while also being told I might get charged again in meantime. When I wanted to put a formal complaint in I was told I might have to wait 3-5 working days to even do this.
What I will say though after that call you did indeed sort it out that same day. So I appreciate that and the help your employees gave. I am Still waiting on refund though which might be another week. Overall I was a bit shocked at how it was initially handled. I blame laptops direct more than yourselfs for making your company look "sketchy"

A very negative customer experience and one I thought worth writing about. I tried to order a bike through a third party site using V12 Retail Finance's 6 month 0% interest scheme. I had thought that I would have been able to get this bike delivered to a specified address, particular since we are all in lockdown and in the midst of a global crisis, however V12 were unable to process this and stated the bike HAD to be delivered to the billing address provided to them. Given we're just trying our best here - I had hoped V12 might comply too but they were unable to, stating "there was nothing they could do about it" which is also utter rubbish.
They failed to come back to my messages and left me frustrated, disheartened and fairly upset all things considering. A very negative customer experience and one I thought worth sharing with the world. V12, you need to look at this as I'm sure I'm not the only customer left with a sour taste in my mouth...

Refused despite excellent score, income, savings and spotless record. Won't share the information, leading me to believe that they will only accept applicants who may not easily afford repayments (and perhaps therefore recoup further fees and penalties similarly to payday loan providers). My FA has suggested I report V12 to The Ombudsman for concerns surrounding their practices, which I will now do.

I took out a finance agreement with this company around 2 years ago. The agreement was for 4 years.
However, recently I decided to try and pay this off.

I planned to ring up the next month and pay this off.
I rang the next month expecting to clear the balance to be told that the outstanding amount was actually over double what I was advised previously - Rather disappointing.
I made a payment towards this anyway, and again advised I would ring the next month to pay the remaining balance that was left.
I rang the next month to pay this, the customer advisor I spoke to said it was all clear and my account would be closed and a letter posted out to me to say I had paid it all. I was very happy as I d worked very hard to pay this off sooner. The same day I checked my online account only to see that it said I still had a remaining balance so I called back straight away and asked them if they were sure I had paid the full balance, they confirmed I had paid it all.

Seems they don't want my money as they know I will pay it back.
Only want customers that have a high chance of not paying so they can charge exorbitant interest and extra charges.
Avoid these lot and just get the money from elsewhere, as they will ruin your credit history

This is beyond a shadow of a doubt the WORST company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They have ignored complaints, pressured me in to paying more than I can afford, told me that they have listened to complaints calls a month before they were made, refused perfectly good payment offers (threatening credit markers and debt collection agencies if I don't pay more). Their customer services is ABYSMAL, it's a case of "Be a good consumer and pay us more, then go away!" Totally unacceptable. They call you up to 5 times a day, even if they speak to you on the phone, not even 24 hours after a payment fails... to tell you they are collecting it 14 days later, but you have to pay it then and there! And God help you if you complain, you are given guilt trips and told it is basically your fault. If you do a SAR request, you are quizzed as to why you want it and barriers are put up in your way to stop you from accessing it. My heartfelt advice is STEER WELL CLEAR!!! If I could rate in minus figures I would. IF YOU MUST DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY, PRINT OUT THE DEBT COLLECTIONS GUIDELINES FROM THE OFT AND KNOW YOUR RIGHT, DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE A TELEPHONE NUMBER EITHER!!
