Peggy Guggenheim Collection Reviews

I'm not a great art connoisseur, but I was very surprised when I saw this magnificent art collection. So many famous artists like Dali, Pollock, Ernst, Kandinsky, Miro, Picasso u.v.m. to see in a museum is already great. It was great fun to stay there and to enjoy the pictures. You can easily spend 1-2 hours there and in good weather in the very well-kept garden. All around there are many small restaurants that you can visit. In the museum itself, I would not eat anything myself. These are also specialized in pictures and not on pizzas.

Amazing museum ... it has very beautiful paintings and painters that really are the best! It is really worth visiting and see each of his paintings. In the museum it is very well maintained and there are discounts for children under 26 ... the previous one is 9 euros. In addition, the view that the museum has is one of the most beautiful that Venezia has!

The museum is beautiful, the guides are very competent and above all the atmosphere is unique

It was a very interesting and long time to explore in Venice, which was a bit boring :) It would be great for those interested in the arts. Students are required to bring their International Student ID card to show them when purchasing a ticket.

In 1949 the palace was acquired by Peggy Guggenheim, who housed her extensive art collection there and lived there until her death in 1979 (Wikipedia).

Wonderful collection: in a period building you can admire Pollock Kandinsky Picasso Braque Mondrian DeChirico Fontana Burri Giacometti and many other "sacred monsters" of art. A selection to see absolutely.

Every time we go to Venice, we always go to the guggenheim, it is an inevitable stop. The ticket price is right and includes Peggy's house with its collection and also the temporary exhibitions held there. Wonderful, it is an inevitable stop.

One of the main and best art collections in the whole of the Triveneto and Italy. Well to the height of his fame. It is a pity that during periods of greatest influx of tourists in the city it becomes too crowded to fully enjoy the exhibited works. Worth a visit and come back. Enjoy your visit.

Whenever I'm in Venice, I like to spend time in this beautiful museum and appreciate more and more the collections that are offered to visitors.
There is nothing better than going to the Grand Canal and enjoying the show from the balcony

Not enough time to see everything. A good day there, but would take half a day for a quick look. Loved it!!!

Excellent exhibition, great artists on display, but the bar too expensive

Highly recommend to visit. But very crowded. You can enjoy the art works of Peggy's daughter also.

Very beautiful and interesting collection, for the works it contains above all! Very harmonious and quiet exposure, not too crowded that allows you to enjoy the visit to the fullest.

Pure perfection. Every work of art is exceptional yet every room feels perfectly balanced in white space and engaging content. Numerous opportunities for low vision and blind visitors to experience the art through engaging interpretives. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Just the right size to leave feeling energized rather than drained as so many art museums leave you. 10 out of 10!

ONE OF THE BEST museums of the Region ... IN THE HEART OF VENICE ... The permanent exhibition is already GRANDY ... OFTEN they display authentic gems FROM THE VACUES ... I HAVE ALREADY visited on several occasions REMAINING EVERY TIME pleasantly SATISFIED. ..

Little gem. Must go to. Definitely use the audio guide! It is so amazing to look at a Picasso while staring out the window at the water.

A little disappointed by the collection that contains great classics but no great discoveries and a taste of too little. The highlight was Marino Marini's sculpture which opened an amazing and comical facet of his work. I also enjoyed the temporary exhibition on the artist Osvaldo Lucini that I did not know for the moment.

An impressive private collection. An incredible setting with a breathtaking view of the Grand Canal.
Unfortunately, there is no price differentiation between permanent and temporary exhibitions. 15 at full price.

This is a wonderfully curated exhibit of contemporary art in the former home of Peggy Guggenheim. Even if you're not a fan of some of her whacky pieces, you'll love the canal views from her "backyard" which is a fun place to rest for a while.Highly recommend getting an audio guide or asking curators about the pieces, because there aren't many written explanations.

Painters and sculptors famous modern in a lovely setting

The context is wonderful, the works of art on display must be understood.

I absolutely LOVED this museum, it has my favorite painters' work. I skipped on the guided tour and just did my own thing. Word to the wise: most of the stuff on the gift shop is shamelessly over-priced and can be bought on ebay for much less.

Great museum. The house of Peggy Guggenheim has barely been modified (a lot of original furnitures are still there) and the collection is impressive. A must do.

Free admission days for the Venetians. Excellent reception, guided tour of the temporary exhibition. All interesting !!!!

Actually I went to work during closing time to the public (when the courtyard is beautifully empty). The permanent collection, seen several times on other occasions, is not to be missed and the temporary exhibitions always interesting. In the week of the Festa della Salute (November) free admission for residents of the metropolitan city of Venice (44 municipalities).

An amazing collection of 20c art in a wonderful location. Every artist from the gcse art classes of 2000 on show.

To avoid the crowds, go there in the morning midweek. Essential collection in a building overlooking the Grand Canal. Absolutely to visit.

Don't bring a bag with you unless you feel comfortable placing it in a locker. They don't tell you until you are ready to walk into the gate after you've paid that you have to put it into a locker. There was a key to the locker that you hold on to, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

It was awesome to see some Picasso's and the Salvador Dali. There were several Jackson Pollock paintings and several other famous pieces. It was well worth seeing. When we went, it wasn't very crowded. The audio headset was well worth the money.

Beautiful collection of modern and contemporary art of the famous Guggenheim collector. Located in a villa overlooking the large canal, it is divided into several rooms containing different collections exhibited in biennials starting from the 40s to follow. There are Magritte, Picasso, de Chirico just to name a few. Entry costs 15 and I think it is a must when you go to Venice.

Impressive collection of this woman, donated. The building is also beautiful. What a life he led, surrounded by bohemia and artists, impressive.

Amazing museum. The art collection here is spectacular. It is a very beautiful location with amazing gardens and a exquisite terrace for lunch. Delicious food for both children and adults served here.

After having seen an abundance of Rennaissance art, it was great to visit this modern art museum. Some really great pieces and others that make you scratch your head :)

I am more or less 20 years that I regularly go to this museum: it offers events suitable for all ages. Events for children and teens, happy hours and concerts. Over the years I have been able to try all kinds of organized events and they are always stimulating

One of the best collections of 20th century art under one relatively small rough. I liked the compact nature of the environment especially the room containing Jackson Pollock paintings. A new discovery for me was Pegeen Vail Guggenheim who's colourful artwork I found captivating. Fantastic museum especially if you strike it lucky and go there when it's a bit less crowded.

A breathtaking collection of art combined with great architecture and an amazing view. The atmosphere is also great.
