Had fun at boo lights! Last year we did zoo lights and it was fun just a little too cold for us so I think boo lights is gonna be our time of year to go. The zoo looks beautiful all lit up and it s nicer because the animals are still out since the weather is still nice.

Coming from California for a good vacation and going to the zoo with my family is amazing it's really small zoo but it keeps the family entertain and being around the animals... Especially that it's my first time being here I like it... I would definitely come here again...

I love this zoo! There's a good variety of animals and they are usually out where you can see them. There are also lots of zookeeper around ready to answer any question you have about the animals.

Had a great time in the zoo. Was there with some of my family including young nieces and nephews. We enjoyed seeing the animals. The bears were frisking about in the water which was great to watch.

They just revamped the place and it definitely looks much better. Many of them let you get up close and personal with the animals without invading their privacy too much. One star off because the prices are and always have been outrageous.

Not as fun as it used to be when I was younger but it's okay we just chose the hottest day to go! The train doesn't go around the zoo just goes around the African safari seems like a waste of time and money

I attended my brothers company party at Hoogle zoo. I don't remember the last time I was there but I got to say I was impressed. I will have to take my family there to see the zoo lights soon.

For the past four years, the zoo has been beneficial for our family but I am very disappointed in the membership department. If you move (mid year), as we are, and ask for a pro-rated amount back on 6 months of your membership, their answer is, "so sorry, we don't re-imburse." We have spent quite a bit of money on this multi year membership. From a public relations viewpoint, poor job Hogle Zoo.

Great little zoo with a lot to offer in a little space. Checks the boxes on the big animals (elephants, zebras, rhinos, gorillas, giraffes, tigers, lions) but also has a number of extras (seals, otters, polar bears, birds, Sonoran desert exhibit, Pallas's cats, tortoises, etc.)

It's been about 30 years since my last visit to Hogle Zoo, so there have been major changes that I was delighted to see, but I was also a bit disappointed that so many of the animals were off exhibit. Nevertheless, I fully intend to not wait another 30 years to go back. Hogle Zoo rocks!

The zoo as always is super fun with kids but the price is high compared to the value. I think if you live.in salt lake and go ALL the the time then an annual pass is a good value... Other than that it's really expensive

I love the message of conservation and respect throughout this zoo. Undoubtably the most high quality zoo I've been to, the staff here really seem to love the animals here, and are shown giving that passion to the children in a really special way.

Always super fun for the kids and the holiday activities are fun. The zoo light activities are fun but around the same price as a day pass but you can't use it in the day and most of the animals are hiding and/or asleep at night. The magic show and maze for the boo lights were included in price and were really fun for the kids. After paying to get in the train and carosel and stuff cost money as well. It can turn into a very expensive trip if you end up doing the other activities too.

So much to see! We had such a great time. We went most recently on a day that was just about perfect temperature-wise and most of the animals were quite active! We are lunch at the spot down by the bears (I forget the name) and that was quite tasty. It's usually hard to get my son to eat when we're out at places like that but he loved it! We rode the train too. The train is fun but sort of short.

Very fun for the kids! Plan on scheduling online in advance. A mask is required when in indoor activities but most people wear their mask throughout. They have really taken guidelines for safety into consideration. Boo nights is awesome for the kids. The animals seem a little more active but it is hard to see some.

So fun

ZOO BREW IS THE BEST!! Leave the kiddies at home and come check it out! Or don't as it gets really crowded and the lines for beer are way too long. But I love the idea of adult-only activities in popular locations.

We arrived 5 minutes before gates opened at 9am. There was plenty of parking and only a few families in the ticket line. We spent over an hour looking at exhibits but we could have easily spent 3 hours if we had spent time at the splash pad, playground, and carousel. We enjoyed the way the zoo was spread out and the life size stone and metal animal figurines placed around the zoo. As we made our way to the exit around 10:30, the zoo was pretty busy and navigating around people was challenging. We're glad we arrived first that morning where we practically had the entire place to ourselves. Recommend going early to beat the crowd.

It was okay. Honestly I'm pretty disappointed now that there are only larger exhibits and no birds, water, reptile, bug exhibits. Not worth the cost to just see a handful of big animals. It used to be a half day activity to go, now you can see everything in an hour easily.

Great layout and attractions. My little girls especially loved the elephant training session. My little girl approves of the lions and tigers and bears, but was dissapointed that there were no unicorns.

We went on a Sunday about 3 hrs till closing and most of the animals were worn out and not very active. Probably the best time to see the animals would be early morning. But regardless my 2 yr old and 1yr old boys had fun and that's all that matters.

They have a large selection of animals. The train ride isn't really worth it. It simply goes around the African Savana and is very short. There aren't a whole lot of tables, bathrooms, trash cans, or drinking fountains. My boys tried the water and said it was gross, so bring your own. The playgrounds are fun and the kids played for quite a while. The Zoo allows you to bring in your own food, which is really nice for price. The parking lot is large, but crowds up quickly. Extra parking is available across the street, which has a pedestrian light and gives about 30 seconds for crossing. All in all, it's a family-friendly park to visit.

We were able to purchase"Grandparent" passes several months ago and are still enjoying taking children and grandchildren to the zoo. One big advantage is that we don't have to wait in the ticket line for a whole year.
