I love this place. Zoo is on the small side compared to other major cities, but they do an amazing job of keeping things fresh and interesting with seasonal attractions (animatron dinos and giant bugs). The enclourses are very nice, many of them you can get on the other side of the glass from big cats and bears.
I wish I would've taken pictures. But I believe it's better experienced in person. The bird show was absolutely amazing! I loved every second of it! The staff are very happy and friendly. I will definitely be back soon. Also I love that they let you feed the animals in certain areas.
Even in winter my wife and I still had a pleasant time. The exhibits were cool and I got a lot of good pictures. Would recommend going when it's a little warmer out, but still can qualify as a year-round activity.
This area of the Hogle Zoo is a must-see. The big cats are always out and about and there are plenty of viewing places to see them all. Plus, we LOVE the new red pandas and their enclosure. They're always active and climbing about. You can see them from the front area, the side, and from above. Highly recommend walking around the Asian Highlands when you're here at the Hogle Zoo.

I always love the zoo!! I was able to visit with my nephews and it was nice and slow. The animals were all pretty active, it was fun to see the boys watching the turtles eat their lunch.
I love this zoo. They are one of the only accredited zoos in the country. Their animals are either rescues or part of the species survival plan. The animals are all being cared for and conserved well and I will continue to love this zoo as long as the animals are always their primary interest.
It was alot of fun the workers were great they work hard to make it a good experience for us and work hard to make the animals comfortable. Great time!!
Zoo lights was great! Had a great time with my granddaughter. A little cold but the hot chocolate warms you up. Making Smore s was so fun!
