A bit of a hike but its so fun to see the exhibits and all of the animals there!

My wife and I love this place! We have had a "duo" membership now for the past two years, and enjoy every time we go. They do shows with all the animals (performances, training, etc.), and each time we go it's like new. Definitely recommended.

I love feeding the giraffe. The train is always a favourite in the family. We are really excited to see the new polar bears in a few months!

It was a lot of fun particularly the zoo train. Everyone has fun on the zoo train!

Nice zoo but a lot smaller than the one back home in Houston. We went through it pretty quick as much as we tried to take our time. It didn't have a playground or petting zoo.

We had an awesome time with the grandkids. I would highly recommend it for families especially. The kids really enjoyed seeing the many varieties of life on planet earth :) Feeding the giraffes was also a lot of fun for them.

Impressive little zoo here in Salt Lake City. Fairly reasonable price too.

Fantastic zoo right in the heart of Salt Lake City. Loads of animals to see, and it all seems like it has a good flow to it. There are social distancing measures in place but they don't detract from the experience. Because of Covid, they limit the amount of guests per hour, which in turn, made the experience that much better! No lines to see animals, no big crowds or groups, really nice. I'll definitely be back!

We came today because my friend donated 4 FOXES. We have not found them yet. Having fun though.

The giraffe feeding was short but great. Especially for my kids.

I love being a member of the zoo. They have such fun activities all year long. I love being able to go as much as I want. It's so clean and everyone is so helpful. Love our zoo.

Love the bats and monkeys and big cats. I hope the bobcat can get a bigger habitat and wouldn't the African animals be cold!!

Went on a warm spring morning and all the animals were active. Otters were swimming, bears were growling, monkeys were swinging. It was awesome except for the lions. They never move and I'm starting to think they are fake.

We had a great time. You have to see the bird and elephant show

Bogle Zoo was a lot of fun. Not as good as notable Zoos, but the kids will love it. Definitely worth it.

Clean zoo, lots of animal varieties, friendly staff who do some educating.

We love coming to the zoo. Friendly staff and very clean. We buy a zoo pass every year. My kids love the animals, train and carousel.

Haven't been in years. Love the new construction, red panda and playground!

Get there early to see the animals active, wish it wasn't on a hill

So much to see! Amazingly laid out. Great place for an out of state visit.

The animals were so active and fun to watch. I think the cold weather helps some animals be more active. The zookeepers do a good job feeding the animals when people arrive in the morning so people can experience that. Clean, well-organized, and the small animal building is a warm option for winter months.

Always a fun place with the kids! Love how shady it is on the hot days. Lots of places to grab a quick bite and a cold drink too. Plan on spending a couple hours here.

My kids love this place. I love this place. They have done so much to enhance the grounds, and it is so family friendly . We come here over and over every year.

We visited on a very hot day but they had large fans and mist blowing to help cool off. Only complaint is we didn't see many animals there because it was so hot some animals were not in their outdoor exhibits

Absolutely fantastic! Social distancing was super easy to follow and it was overall a great time.

Amazing. Lion fountain s a carousel, a train. Hosting birthday partys. Or werk partys. A fun and educational place for all age's. Also a New Red panda exhibit.

I live the Asian highlands at the zoo. Hogle zoo has done much over the last 10 years to improve the enclosures for the animals. There are lots fewer cats now so the the ones they do have can have large enclosures with a natural habitat instead of the old cement cages. I love the new red pandas that were added this year. They are very cute.

Went for zoo lights and expected to see animals but they turn the lights off to the enclosures so You cant see them. So your literally paying to look at sparce light displays and 1 animal. Not at all worth the money.

Hogle zoo has done some great renovations, making a he experience much better for the zoo patrons and the animals.

Bird show was definitely the highlight. Bring your walking shoes when you go.

We have a family membership here, it is the best Zoo the wife, kids and I have ever been to. That Amur Siberian Tiger is just gorgeous! Wife and kids adore the Zebra.

Well spaced out lot of fun, fed the giraffes . Garlic toast is yummy

I'm only giving one star because I can't give zero. Boo! Boo! Boo! No hippos. The one thing that my two year old wanted to see. Couldn't see giraffes. Only one sleeping gorilla. Sometimes we saw an animal mist times we didn't. Can we you have more than one animal per species. Thanks for our family outing ending as a big disappointment.

They have wildlife but also a bad reputation for not taking care of the critters correctly

So much fun and worth the affordable membership fee! I regularly bring my children here for a great day out

Kinda slow sense not all tickets would scan and they only had one line available.

Great Zoo, with terrific staff. Everything was decently prices (about as expected) and most of the exhibits offered multiple viewing spots which kept the crowds thinned out. The shows were really informative and allowed for a nice break from the long walk. My son also loved the new splash zone area.

This is a great zoo! It's one of the better attractions for a family in SLC.

It isn't San Diego Zoo but for a local state zoo it is pretty great. My son does really wish they had a hippo. Oh and their bird show is awesome.

One of my favorite places to visit when i can aford it.

We love this place! My kids love seeing all the animals, riding the carousel, riding the train, and in the summer they like to get wet at the water playground.The only reason for the 4 stars is because of the cost, it isn't very budget friendly...the memberships are pricey but actually a good deal considering what a normal ticket price is. If you are planning on going frequently, I would suggest a membership.

Great place so many fun animals, wonderful zoo workers to help you give you new information.when we were there we got to feel a polor bears coat which was pretty cool

The zoo is great. Always clean, easy to find your way around, very helpful staff. The different events like zoo Brew, zoo lights, zoo rendezvous, have all been great when I've attended. They're always well staffed for these events and do an awesome job.

Such a nice day with the family! We went on the last day of the free admissions and it was just so much fun! Most of the animals werent out because it is cold still but definitely will be back in the summer there are steep little hills so be ready to go fast down hill and a good little workout up hill thank you again for a good day at the Zoo my kids loved it!

Animals look depressed and sad! Never paying to get in here. Much rather wait to see them in their natural habitat

A great zoo, frankly it's the only one in the area and they don't have much competition. However they do a good job with what they have. The programs and shows are well done and they have some seasonal activities year round that are fun for the whole family.

I haven't been to this zoo since the remodel and it was wonderful. Lots of animals awake and lively early in the morning and the park was clean.

My family and I loved this place. They'd had the animatronic dinosaurs when we came here the first time and they were really cool. My kid was two at the time and she was fascinated by the moving dinosaurs.

Hogle zoo was very cool would definitely come back here again what do I do you have to say okay

Doesn't offer military discount, some of the animal pens are too cramped. Others are awkward to actually see the animals.

Overall, a great zoo to visit, and a good price. Make the trip to visit the museum on the same day. People are complaining about the price. Well considering what it goes to it is a good one compared to other zoos, and hand feeding prices are reasonable. One major issue though is when I went there were hundreds of kids just pounding on the glass destroying the sense of an ecosystem the zoo has tried to achieve. They need more people at exhibits to prevent this and or they need to better educate people entering. Will return, but if I see patrons doing this constantly here, I won't visit again. Several zoos don't use a glass terrarium but rather have a distance to view from.

Hogle Zoo is great fun but be prepared it is up on a mountainside beautiful views, lots of animals and a decent walk.
