It's a great zoo with great shows during the summer months. I love thing in the fall and winter because the animals are super active.

Beautiful zoo and amusement park. Hours of fun and attractions that change throughout the seasons.

Very fun time for the family!

The red pandas were playing and fun to watch. I recommend the zoo in the colder weather

Great place for kids although some animals seem to be lacking of space

Lots of the animals were not out when we showed up, I know they need care but the price of admission and only half of them were out.

This zoo is improving regularly, it was pretty barren when I used to come as a kid, but they have come a long way and continue to upgrade and build great new exhibits.

It was great being so close to so many animals. The Lions were so amazing to be close to.

We had a really nice time at the zoo today. 4 kids under the age of 5. They loved all the animals. But they especially loved the play area for kids. The playground looked awesome but I think it should have had a few more slides or bridges. The rock formations look awesome but can't really be played on much. It was too early in the season for the splash pad to be open but it looked fun.

Went for the first time in october, kinda cold but nice. Staff was really helpful and knowledgeable about the animals. Will be going again soon.

They have a nice assortment of animals. The zoo over all was a great experience, except for the lack of open concessions.

The animals are great and all of them look healthy and we'll cared for.

Excellent zoo. It's not a habitat zoo where you spend more time walking between exhibits than viewing the attractions. The zoo is large, yet the layout is easy to navigate. I bring my kids to SLC solely for the Loveland Aquarium, the Museum of Ancient Life and the Hogle Zoo. When you go, make sure you attend the "bird show" as my kids call it. It's in a little outdoor amphitheatre with live birds of prey and exotic birds. You'll feel the rush of air from the wings as they fly inches above your head! That show alone is worth the trip. It runs for about 20 minutes and is included in the price of admission.

Its kept clean and has and okay variety of animals.

Love going to the zoo with my grandbabies! They love the train, splash pad and Monkees are always a favorite.

I love the Hogle Zoo the staff is amazing they have great enclosures for their animals and it's fun for the whole family.

I love the renovations and remodeling they've done to the zoo, they've made huge improvements since I was a kid and going there.

Food is good. Wish more animals were out but was there after they normally close! Had fun! Expensive to go. But great with friends!

Great experience. Friendly staff. Nice exibits. Clean place all around. Not cheap.

Kids park, kids splash pad, lots of ledges for little ones to stand on. Lots of shade throughout. Don t skip the small animal building next to the big cats one of my favorite parts!

We love coming to this zoo. It's hit and miss with the animals because they look annoyed Carousel and Train rides are fun and not expensive! People were not very cautious of covid (not 6 feet apart) but the zoo had many reminders and did their very best to enforce cdc guidelines. Our favorite part were the seals and how they did tricks. Asian highlands is amazing(tigers and exotic animals). I wish they had koalas and panda bears! It took us about 2.5 hours to see everything and do the rides. Overall it was a great time!!

Nice zoo, but kind of compact. I wish they would move it to a larger parcel of land more west and south.

Probably the cleanest zoo I've ever been to. The bathrooms were clean and the animal exhibits were clean as well. I would highly recommend going to the aviary show. This was a true treat for the family. The zoo has a wide range of exhibits. It is not the biggest zoo but definitely very good.

Very organized, clean and hygienic environment for the inhabitants. Well maintained infrastructure across the entire zoo. Attractive displays in indoor arenas. Kudos to administration and staff.

My kids love seeing the animals and learning about conservation when we visit the zoo.

I went during Covid. They did a great job and the entrance distancing everyone for check in. The bug, polar bear enclosure and playground was closed but everything else was opened. Very clean. Friendly workers. I would go again.

Great family atmosphere. They were super clean and followed all Covid-19 requirements.

The winter enclosures could be bigger for the animals, but all in all a nice very nice zoo.

The zoo is a fun place to take the family. They have done some amazing updates and are taking very good care of the exhibits. Love the savanna the Asia exhibit. Now the should update the reptile house. Kind miss the hippo still maybe they could work on a sea exhibit.

There were a lot of animals out and playing even though it was a little chilly outside. We were able to see everything in 3 hours, but we had to go kind of quick.

We got to see the animals and walk until we were exhausted. I enjoyed my experience.

Hogle Zoo is always a good time for our family! The staff is awesome and happy to educate everyone. Unfortunately it's getting almost unaffordable, I recommend getting the season pass if you're planning on going multiple times a year. Also get a rolling cooler and bring your own water and snacks.

Free zoo day is a great option! Last Wednesday of every month! Other than that, I would not pay to get into the zoo. The facilities are poorly kept and the animals are not very active.

Just went for the first time. With school in session and covid we mostly had the place to our selves. Most of the animals were still out roaming about. Got to see a lot of the animals eating. Had a great time.

Seems expensive for what is there. We only spent 2 hours.

The hogle zoo has a nice variety of animals and I enjoy taking my children here. It is open year-round and once in awhile they have a free admission day which I like to take advantage of.

Love the bear exhibit. Our you see the sea lions, bring a coin, drop it by the water window, and you will get their undivided attention.

I love the zoo! So worth the membership if you go frequently. The sunrise and sunset safaris are awesome. I have been going here since they had the hippos and penguins back in the day, but now they have even more fun animals like the red pandas and lions. For sure check out the reptile house, but don t eat the goldfish off the floor like my two year old......

There is a lot to see here and so many cool animals. It is well maintained and clean. The tickets are more than you would think they would be for a zoo. They have lights for Halloween and Christmas and they make it enjoyable to walk through for the different events.

The bird show is always a great stop out of the sun and so fun to watch.

It's a good price especially compared to other places around.

Cute zoo, very informative zookeepers and the animals looked happy to be where they're at. I love the Halloween decorations too - so festive!

I go back and forth on Zoos. I like animals. the kids like animals. but animals need to be free in the wild. our animals seem depressed. I'm sure they are treated well and all. so I'm torn.

Saw elephant poo. And the squirrell was avoiding it.

My kid never gets bored of coming to the zoo. The animals are always fun to watch but they have added other features that keep the kids entertained, such as a splash pad, play ground and of course the carousel. We have found the animals to be really lively early in the morning or late in the afternoon and it seems like in the winter time they are always active.

I love this zoo! We are members and always learn something new each time we go. They are taking great precautions with COVID-19, keeping people safe while on their premises.

It is very well done for a zoo the animals seem very happy.

I take my zoos and aquariums very seriously, so I take pride in knowing the drastic changes that have taken place at the Hogle over the years, from poor animal conditions and presentation to tge now detailed and obvious attention put into giving these animals conditions worthy to live in. Not only have they expanded the number of species they care for but they've made the enclosures more interactive for the guest without intruding on the animals. Of tge many zoos i've been to this one has done a great job in it's "glow-up"

Best place to spend the evening with the family. Be ready to walk a lot.

Really fun. Small compared to other zoos but it's clean and well put together.

Love seeing what they add to the exhibits every time I go. Unfortunate they don't have the sloth anymore and the wolves were no where to be seen. When entering they had these giant fans with water misters on them. I wish they were all over the park but a good visit none the less.

This is a favorite of the family. My wife and daughter love seeing the animals. :) We recently visited during the winter for Zoo Lights and were pretty disappointed, we had gone to see the animals AND the lights. Very few animals to see in the cold and dark. We'll definitely continue to make it out for our summer visits though :)

Such a fun place to explore!! It is a little smaller than most zoos, but is definitely fun on a day off.

We came here at the start of December. We were told they sold food items near the polar bears when we entered the zoo. We have a one year old and half way through the visit he was extremely fussy because we had to walk the rest of the park to get to the food. We finally got to the grill and it was closed. The cafe was also closed. We then see near the entrance one place that sold food. The burger, corn dog and pretzel are all winners. Unfortunately the zoo doesn t have any outdoor heaters so the food was cold before we could finish it. None of the exhibits were open and there weren t any kind of kid entertainment (balloons, face painting, etc). It felt really disappointing when we drove an hour to come. Probably not going to come back again.

Fun and interesting. Lots of cool sights. The bird show was the highlight. The misting fans located throughout the park were great.

I wish there was a suggested route to follow to see all the animals, we had to backtrack to get in everything.

I went to the zoo with some friends. We loved the elephant show as well as the bird show. We brought a lunch and there was plenty of tables to sit at and eat. After lunch, the kids played at the park and splash pad. They had the coolest animal displays made our of garbage from the ocean. It was amazing!

It's a zoo. In case you've never heard about a zoo and what it is, expect animals and a variety of toddlers, kids and adults looking at said animals.
