I'm not huge into Zoo's, but the Hogle Zoo is always pretty cool. They have newer attractions to keep you interested but I found a lot more cages empty my last time there which is a bummer.

We always have a great time at the zoo. Clean bathrooms friendly staff. Nice family atmoshpere. Thanks for having "Free Day" we have a large family which makes it difficult to enjoy things like a day at the zoo. Tons of ppl but still awesome. Loads of smiles and laughter.

Perfect when you have a membership. And you get a souvenir cup only cost a dollar for a refill any year.
Especially fun when you go to wear places people don't normally go to. There is a path nobody ever goes down and it's very peaceful. And you see sculptures that nobody else ever sees.

The zoo is wonderful. They only bring in animals that couldn't survive in the wild on their own for some reason. It's a great place for kids and they have lots of fun presentations like feeding giraffes, watching the elephants paint, the seal and sea lion show, the bird show. The animals are NEVER forced to do anything they don't want, this isn't the circus. Their focus is the animals, not making money.

Most people like this zoo and by Utah standards it's a great zoo. But anyone that's from out of town and seen larger zoos you'll be disappointed in the size and habitats for the animals.

This is a great zoo. I have been to many zoos in different areas and this is one of the better ones. I have been here about 5 times, both with family and on school trips. It is hilly so even though the zoo area isn t as big as other zoos, it still can feel like you walked a lot because of the hills. It s in a beautiful area. The prices aren t ridiculous. SLC is a very family- friendly place, so they don t have high prices for family activities. There is a Panda Express in the area where they have tigers. They have a really nice tiger enclosure. The tiger brothers are playful and fun to watch. Overall, my family really enjoyed this zoo.

Hogle Zoo is a gem. I've been visiting since childhood and they are continually working to improve animal habitats. It's a beautiful park with lots of opportunities to interact with the animals and learn cool facts. We went first thing and the animals were really active. My favorite part was the polar bear exhibit! We got to see them eat fish and Nora was so playful. We had a great time.

Our kids (4 and 2) love this zoo, but come prepared to do some walking. They have strollers to rent but we always bring our own. Food is expensive if you eat there and decent quality. We typically bring our own food and eat at one of the many outdoor tables. The best deal if you go often is the family pass; only after 3-4 trips and then it's like free visits. The best time to come for most of the big animals (lion, elephant, bears, tigers) is when temperatures are cooler, like during the fall or early spring. When it's too hot, many animals don't want to be outside or be active. In fact, some of our most memorable visits have been when the weather is (to humans at least) not 'ideal', like rainy or snowy days.

The Zoo was okay but we would go to the Tracy Aviary or the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium again before coming back here. It has been redone from the last time I had been here and it looks really nice. However, it felt like a lot of the exhibits were either empty or the animals were not able to be seen. The only big animals we saw were lions, brown bears, and elephants. There is almost no shade from trees or anything so it was very hot while walking around. The main marketing push I've heard all summer was the safari exhibit which consisted of one ostrich and about 10 smaller birds. So that was pretty disappointing. I would recommend seeing the bird show. That was done very well. Overall, for the price you pay you don't end up seeing very much.

This is a fun zoo! Wish the train and carousel ran more often(last three visits they were closed) and it was a bit more handicapped friendly. But the habitats make it easy to see most of the animals and the kids love it.

Great zoo! The animals were very active! I personally come from Denver and our zoo is not even comparable to this one. It was definitely worth the trip! We went in the morning and all the animals were being feed and roaming.

This is a fabulous zoo. It was clean and the animals areas were well taken care of. Tidy and clean. I was impressed that the windows in the exhibits were clean so you could actually see inside the exhibits. I have trouble walking but this zoo was really easy to navigate. All the animals were out and the staff were extremely informative.

The World of Flight bird show is the reason we buy an annual pass!
Yes, the other animals and their environments are great, they are, but a free flighted bird show like this is almost impossible to find anywhere else and definitely worth seeing!

Nice zoo. It is a little small and all the animals are common in other zoos. However it was very clean and exhibits were well planned. The monkey/gorilla exhibit was very lively and fun. Food is good quality for pricing.

We are coming back tomorrow because we loved it so much! Pricey, but we did a free child ticket with purchase of adult ticket and stayed all day so it was worth it! Going on a weekday early near opening is AWESOME since it s not as crowded, animals are active, and you are able to go to all the shows. Great elephant encounters, bird show, polar bears and more! Love the new playground and splash pad during summer, and the art exhibit sprinkled throughout. The adults had as much fun as the kids, can t wait to go back!

Wonderful zoo and fun place to take the kids. They keep it pretty updated and we enjoy the playgrounds and the other attractions. My only complaint is that it's a bit too expensive.

The COVID restrictions are extreme. Can't walk around outside maskless without being reprimanded by an employee. Almost impossible to get a bite to eat...a few walk up snack windows only. I won't be back.

It is a small to mid-sized zoo, so there are only a few of the same species on display. However, because of its size, it is not exhausting at all to see the entire zoo, especially if you're also bringing children. The bird show is a must-see, and so I highly recommend finding out show times early and be in line at least 10 minutes early to get a good spot (especially on weekends). Note that no entry is allowed after the bird show has started, so make sure everyone is seated at least 4 minutes before it starts.
