We decided to go as a family before the weather turned cold and before I went back to work after having our second child. The parking lot is tight, but it's an older establishment with not much room to expand, despite the upgrades inside the park.
When we arrived, my baby needed to nurse, so thankfully there is a Mother's room inside the front entrance restroom. There were two chairs, but no privacy curtain of any kind. Also the chairs looked like they had seen better days and looked/felt dirty. Thankfully I'm done nursing so I don't need to worry about that anymore.
The rest of the park was great. We really enjoyed our time and plan on return visits this summer.

You have quite a variety of animals, giraffes, zebras, elephants, rhinos, lions, tigers, bears, monkeys, birds, a great variety of reptiles, seals, etc. An amphitheater with a very beautiful show of trained birds with various times during the day. Special for children and to spend a day with the family.

The website is misleading on activities you can do at Boo Lights. If you want to ride the train there is an additional cost. Most the animals are asleep early so you do not get to see many of them. The lights are nice but not worth the cost.

This is a fine zoo. They have a large variety of animals as far as I can tell.I don't have a lot of experience with zoos but our group really enjoyed ourselves at this one. It felt like the prices were a little high.$14 for kids, 16 for seniors in 17 for adults. The kids especially enjoyed watching the seals and sea lions.

I love the Zoo. It has really made a lot of improvements in the last decade and is always a good place to spend the afternoon. Kids love the splash pad and I love the ever changing theme.

I always love the hogle zoo. It is one of our favorite family destinations. Passes are affordable $89 for two people. $150 for a family pass. The playground and splash pad are awesome, but the splash pad usually doesn't open until summer. They have kid shows that are engaging and fun. The kids got to pet an armadillo. The bird shows are lengthy , but cute. We love the elephant shows with the cool tricks. The lion feedings are super cool, and they have the lions do cool tricks. It is super fun to see Nora and Hope the polar bears swim in the water. There is a cute baby giraffe this year. There are some baby zebras too.

I've never been to a zoo before and neither has my son. I have to say, I was quite excited to go. Sadly, it wasn't as cool as I thought. I guess I should have expected that.

For how small the zoo is, everything seems overpriced. However, it was a little neat to see all of the animals they have. The animals do seem bored a d miserable though.

The maps said it closed at 5pm, but the gates actually close at 4pm, so don't show up late or they won't let you in. (I gave it one Star because I wanted to warn people about the closing time but didn't get to actually sees the zoo)

Fun place to go especially on their free admission days. They have play equipment for the kids. The exhibits are fun to look at and not too big to hit in one day. We went while it was raining so some of the animals were asleep in their holes or cubbies. The small animal exhibit was super fun to walk through but pretty stinky. Get ready to get hit in the face with pungent bird feces smell. Yikes. But it didn't keep me from seeing all the fun animals. They also have a train but it wasn't running due to weather. All in all i liked it and so did the kids. Parking was a mad house but that was expected.

I used to come here a lot as a kid and it had been a while since I was last there. I brought my kids the this past week and holy cow! It looks amazing! I love how they have the zebras and giraffes and other Savannah animals in the same habitat now! And the bird show was a lot of fun with my kids. They enjoyed every min of it. And the splash pad is pure genius! The prices are still high for everything in the park, but is not cheap to run and operate a zoo so I get it.

Such a great zoo. It was really empty and most people wore masks, so we felt safe. The animals are really visible and we were able to get really close. The giraffe feeding was so much fun.

The 3 dollar train ride is a joke. Sad to see so many animal not there anymore. Exhibits are improving, others outdated. What happened to the animals? Big cats, penguin, big apes, polar bear, small animals, birds, bison, hippo, etc.

This place has really gone downhill the past few years. It's quite expensive and there's really not much here anymore. The animals all seem miserable. I was not impressed at all, and wouldn't pay to go back

Great family time and the kids loved all the unique animals. Word to the wise though... don't go during the afternoon to start, all the animals were sleeping and hiding because it was to hot so we missed allot.

This is a nice little zoo. There are some really cool animals like the rhinos and polar bear. It has a small splash pad that wasn't open when we visited. It took us less than two hours to visit every exhibit and ride the train. The animals were fairly active, which was fun to see and they were fed places visitors could see up to close. I think you can feed giraffes, but that attraction was closed, so I'm not sure. There are neat things at the zoo, but it is very small and some areas could use attention, like the train ride which circles an exhibit that is no longer used. The admission is the same as much larger zoos we've visited with more animals, rides and experiences.

We love Hogle Zoo. Not a big zoo, but, in my opinion, just the right size. The best way to enjoy it here is to purchase a membership. Then you can come back as often as you'd like. The Premier Booster admits five adults and any grandchildren under 18. They have different types of memberships.

We went on a rainy Tuesday from 4-6 but while we were there it just sprinkled off and on. This was nice because we didn't have to battle any crowds of people. Unfortunately the African Savanna section was closed then. But a majority of the animals were out or laying under covered areas. So don't think wet weather means no animals - they just may not be putting on a show. Sadly no polar bear either, but this was known prior. Overall great little zoo, clean, well taken care of. This review was mostly written for those who have hesitation of weather impacting their decision to go. Yes, slightly pricey for not the whole zoo attractions but if you want a more intimate experience then I'd recommend watching hourly rain percentages for the day to make a choice of going.

Pretty neat if you are ok with animals in cages. I wish they were free. My daughter thought it was amazing! (16 months old)

It was a cold day after a snow storm too so many of the animals were not coming out to play but it was still pretty neat.

Still I wish they were free and safe from mankind trying to hunt them down... because mankind isn't so kind when money is a factor. Ivory translates to money instead of elephant translating to amazing animal of nature who is so majestic that they should deserve our respect. Money is funny folks. It seems to move the unmovable in unnatural ways. Do not allow yourself to be bought if you can help it.

Had a great time here, the staff were extremely friendly and gave us tons of awesome information.
We also stopped by the food court on our way out and the food was good.
I definitely plan on going again.
My only issue was that a decent amount of animals weren t out to see the day I went but it s understandable. I wouldn t want to come out everyday either haha.

The new renovations are great. It really gives the animals bigger and better living areas. Kids love seeing all the animals. I gave 4 stars only because I'm from Niagara Falls and I've been to the Toronto Zoo.

COVID provided the best zoo experience! We have always enjoyed trips to this zoo, but Hogle Zoo was super prepared for COVID 19. There were arrows to direct one way foot traffic, social distancing signs, high touch point signs, etc. It was sooo nice to be able to see all of the zoo in an organized, fun, easy way. Great job Hogle!

We love coming here to see all of the animals. It makes for an awesome day trip. Just make sure you don't come when it rains. When it's wet they don't run the train, several of the animals are kept indoors, and it kind of puts a damper on the whole thing.

As a worker here, people may say "oh you have to say nice things about it" i actually don't have to. But here it is. Working here is an adventure. You never know what to expect. I come here when im off work and its only cause the zoo is a nice place to disconnnect for a while from electronics. You see all the animals and meet new people. You would be surprised on what working at the zoo has changed. At the zoo, we truly care for your happiness. We make sure you guys are smiling.

An inexpensive family attraction. This zoo has put in a lot of work to upgrade the park and the animals living quarters over the years. It might not be for everyone and that's okay. My family has enjoyed our zoo park outings over the past 20 years. We are always impressed with the Zookeepers special care and love for the animals.

The animals all look happy and healthy. The panther seems to love having its picture taken and with the new lion habitat they nap right by the viewing glass which is super fun. There are tons of interactive learning experiences which is super awesome as well as informational plaques to tell you about each of the animals.

Today was my first time visiting Hogle Zoo. I took my family and it was a blast. I definitely recommend the bird show, it was exhilarating with the owls, falcons, eagles, and more swooping so low over the audience. Look closely and you can see them eat mice on the perches. We had a fun time spotting the rooster that was roaming free around the park. This was a great family time and we spent a good 5 hours there! Definitely stop at Les Schwab first for coupons for free admission for the kids.

The water misters and giant fans are a great treat. Super clean. AFCU day with a $10 discount helped. Clean ADA restrooms. Train and carousel were fun. Free parking. Lots of little shops for drinks and food.
