This is one of the smallest Zoo s I ve been two. Bird show was fun, but I was disappointed on how small the Zoo is. I m from NC and the Asheboro Zoo is probably 10 times the size of this zoo. Takes 30 minutes max to look at all the animals. I like visiting Zoo s in every city that I travel too and this was the most disappointing

In traveling we go to different zoo often. We have an annual pass at home (Oakland, CA). Zoos always give reciprocity discounts. This zoo said it was not doing that anymore because Covid 19. No logic there, but one unhappy supporter of zoos.

Loved it loved it loved it!!! So many great exhibits and so many animals that were moving around. We r from boise and the zoo is embarrassing there so I was very excited bring our kids here. It seems as though all the exhibits r well maintained and make it as close to a real habitat as possible. The polar bears, sea lions, and seals seem to have a nice livable area. My only recommendation is to upgrade the zoofari as it is not very good for anyone. Oh yeah, maybe a wider variety of beverages. Thank you

Went here right at opening time and I'm glad I did because it got really crowded around noon. Convenient to get to from downtown SLC. Did the feed the gorillas experience which was neat and very educational (you don't get to go near the gorillas; they give you frisbees with treats to throw into their habitat)

So much fun! We took our one year old and she had a blast. The animals were so active and had large habitats. I remember animals looking really sad at the zoo as a kid but the animals all looked pretty happy. They cleanly know how to love and care for these animals.

The day we went was a free day and it was cold and rainy. The kids were still a little young to really enjoy it, but I'm excited to go back in the future. Cool animals that look well taken care of and it was clean and the employees were nice.

We come here multiple times throughout the year and it's been great every time. The people are nice, animals well taken care of, decent fair admission price. Free for 2 and under. You can walk there entire thing in an hour if you're fast. Lots of food and drink and activities. Kids loved the little splash pad area too. Bring swimming clothes!

Great zoo! Very clean, and well kept! Lots for the kids to do, including a train, merry go round, playground, and splash pad. It s not as huge as other zoos out there, but we think it s great!

My family and I love the Hogle Zoo. They've made some great improvements and have some great enclosures. We have a session pass again and it's nice to be able to go for a few hours when it's cool outside and to go frequently.

Train wasn't running yet but the goose on top of the giraffe house honking was a treat. I always adore my children getting a kick out of a fly on a wall or ladybug on the ground vs a tiger or elephant perhaps but we enjoyed the monkeys running and hoping around in their cage, snakes really slithering and the seals showing of their back flip moves. Zoo in winter my fav. . . We love Hogle Zoo

I love seeing the zoo lights and having the opportunity to watch the animals at night. Some of them look cute napping while others are active. The highlight was watching the polar bear pacing around and hearing the tigers moaning!

I was never a huge fan of this zoo growing up but it has grown on me quite a bit and I really have fun here. Maybe it's because I have a daughter now and she loves it and it's a great place to get energy out.... Zoo lights are always fun and the animals seem to be more active in the winter time anyway. That's the theory at least. Most of the time zoo animals just look depressed to me. I've been to Hogle zoo, Houston zoo, and Seattle zoo. Hogle isn't as big as these other places but it's still fun.

I hadn't been to the hogle zoo in decades and having just recently moved back to utah I decided it would be a nice place to take my 7 year old nephew. I was pleasantly surprised with the exibits. Particularly the lion viewing area. The Lions come right up to the glass for a nap which offers a one of a kind nose to nose experience which was just fantastic for my nephew. Most of the animals were very active even though it was the middle of the day. They have several interactive shows and the food and beverage options are plentiful and decently priced for a captive audience. There were several things I remembered from when I was a child. Great family fun!

Absolutely wonderful experience, I love people that appreciate animals and especially the staff and trainers. I hope when I retire to help volunteer and do whatever I can to just be around the animals and staff that love them too.

Hogle Zoo is one of the best places in Utah. Sundays in the winter are not as busy, so you don't have to compete to look at the animals. Most of the animals are out & active.
All the staff is friendly & helpful. They love their jobs & it shows. If they aren't too busy, they are happy to talk with you about the animals & their care.

Hogle punches above it's weight, they have a lot of animals and tons of events for kids and adults alike! Open year round, it's a great place to spend the afternoon and learn about some animals! Continuous improvement is a Hallmark of Hogle, they just added red pandas and a meerkat exhibit!

We love taking our kids to hogle zoo. The animals are usually out and about while we are there, the place is well groomed and last time we were there the zoo had giant bug animatronics everywhere that my kids loved. The artisan sandwich baskets at the beastro are reasonably priced (huge sandwich for 7-8 bucks) and quite good. Note if you are going to take the train ride it is pretty short and you don't see many animals, but my young kids will love it anyway.

Lots of adult and baby animals to see. The meerkats are always a favorite. Carousel, train and playground add other fun elements for the kids. Plan on at least an hour, two if you want to see everything. Order the garlic fries near the bear exhibits!

Great exhibits. We only had an hour. They actually begin shutting down 15 minutes prior to close. Blocking off most areas. So we were running to see things. They had a special event following the general close.

I loved visiting the Hogle zoo when they had zoo lights! Absolutely beautiful, however hot chocolate was extremely overpriced, who wants to pay $6.00 for a cup of hot chocolate? Overpriced in my opinion.

Hogle Zoo is a fun, brain enriching experience for people of all ages. Its definitely not a short experience, it took me about 3 hours to get through it all(which isn't a bad thing). There are so many interesting and rare animals there like the Amur Leopard. The zoo keepers are really knowledgeable about the animals, even the employees who aren't zoo keepers know a lot. 4 out of 5 because certain groups of animals aren't present but an overall great experience.

You *have* to try feeding the giraffes. Best money I ever spent! I've been here dozens of times and we always find something new to marvel at. It's a well-kept zoo with docents that really care! Ask at the front when show times are, they're all fun to see but they've really improved the sea lion show recently.

I love this zoo. I've been coming here since I was little, so it's fun to bring my son here now. The only real complaint I have is that there aren't enough handicap parking spots. There are more handicapped people that come to the zoo than you think.

It's a good zoo, but I've been to many different zoos around the country and obviously doesn't compare to the San Diego or Omaha zoo. And it seemed like the exhibits were quite small for the animals.
