Their updates are okay, I miss the old parts they've taken out of the zoo. Some girl with blue hair at the beastro had a really sour attitude with my family. We were playing with the snow having snowball fights, honestly didn't know it wasn't allowed; especially being super dead during the winter.

Instead of coming over in a nice manner, she confronted us quickly with a very rude sour attitude like she was having a rough day. I get it if your day is going bad, but don't take it out on customers.

Great place to visit! So much fun to see the beautiful animals. I think Hogle Zoo does a great job at caring for the animals. Very clean, well maintained and great for an enjoyable time with friends and family!

Zoo Boo this year was very fun. The kids especially enjoyed the nocturnal animal tour. They got to see quite a few of the animals that are asleep/hidden during the day. The lion cubs were also a big hit.

Had a work event. Received meal vouchers so our family chose shoreline grill. The gal took our order and repeated everything back correctly. Received our food and was completely disgusted in the service from the cook and server. No gloves, didn't read the order and gave us the incorrect by food/ unfinished. The cheeseburgers had no cheese, she was rude when we asked for her to fix it and she then scratched under her mask and the put cheese on the burgers. Noticed we only had one order of fries when we ordered 2 and showed her our receipt. She called us liars and said we would have to go back stand in the enormous line and order and pay for another french fry order even though they already charged us for one we never received. They were completely unsanitary and unprofessional. I really hope they do not treat the animals the same way they treat their guests. It makes me sad to see the animals sad and in cages so it makes me wonder if they have no standard in professionalism with their training towards the guests and potentially the animals let alone the food preparers can't follow county and state sanitation and food prep guidelines. We ended up tossing the burgers due to her scratching her nose without gloves and then touched our food without washing her hands during a pandemic where cleanliness Is key currently!!!!! I won't be going to eat at the zoo ever again and it'll be quite a few before my family and I return to the Hogle zoo when we feel this individual no longer works with customers or their food. We would much rather spend the time and money travelling to another states zoo or spend our hard earned money at the big aquarium or somewhere else. I'd advise others to be vigilant on watching your food be prepared and aware what's going on when you eat at and visit the Hogle zoo.

Love the time slot ticketing, keeps the zoo from being over crowded! Only downside is the indoor exhibits currently being closed (it is understandable given current events) feels like you miss out on seeing a big chunk of the animals. It was still a fun time at the zoo!!

This zoo was really nice. There were a few things which made me a little sad, such as the train not running that day and walking to a restaurant which was closed and having to walk clear to the other end of the park for the one that was open. Also, the playground was closed:( but it is still winter! There's a great selection of animals to see as well as cool statues to take photos with. Most of the animals were out enjoying the sun, which was really nice. The set up is nice too because of the park circles back. Seeing the mountains all around was really cool too. Plus, the Beastro looks out over the elephant enclosure, what a great lunch view!

We really enjoyed the zoo and appreciate the ability to be open to visitors during COVID. However, stupid people refusing to wear masks during the HIGHEST time of the pandemic made us uncomfortable, so we will not return until we feel it s safer.

This zoo has changed so much over the past few years! We love the new enclosures and ramps that make it possible for all people to encounter the animals.

Most of the cafes were not open today. The map listed open hours as 9, but only The Beastro was operating.

Train prices have gone up to $2.50 a ticket and there wasn't a discount for memberships.

Excited for the new meerkat enclosure!

We've been going to Hogle Zoo for years. It's anyways a fun experience. My kids are older now but still love it. It seems we learn something new about a different animal each time. The variety of animals is excellent for what the Utah climate allows. Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! The exhibits are good, animals have lots of open spaces, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

My one reason for knocking off a star is overall cleanliness. Particularly during the current pandemic, I didn't see any staff member cleaning anything during our 2 hour visit. Maybe we just missed them but i kind of expected to see multiple staff members around the more popular areas and high touch point exhibits doing at least a quick window or railing sanitizing. There are signs posted indicating what gets touched the most and fun signs with animals asking visitors to stay six feet apart. I just didn't see any actual cleaning.

Overall we love the zoo and I'm sure we'll go back many times more.

Nice variety of animals and habitats. Some construction under way while we were there but wasn't to bad. Not a lot of parking available. Good food at the cafe. Overall a great place to take the kids young or old.

The animals were cool to see but literally nothing else is open. No place to get lunch. The play ground was closed. The train was closed. The merry go round was closed but you still pay full price. Pretty lame during covid or maybe everything was closed inside because it was a week day.

It was lovely as usual but I spent over 10 minutes standing in line at the one ticket window that was open to pay to get in. A slightly cool, drizzly day is a good day to go to the zoo.

This is my favorite zoo in the country. You can really see the animals. My daughter's comment was "This was the greatest zoo experience of my life!" Going in the cold is great as animals are all active.

A compact zoo making for easy walking. There are plenty of helpful staff which is appreciated. They have rarer species or cats then other zoos. It is also clean and even when busy viewing is accessible.
They also keep predator a ND prey within sight of each other.

Kids have a great time here but it always seems like there are exhibits closed down or they are under construction which can be frustrating when you are paying close to a hundred dollars for the family.

Strap on your walking shoes and get ready to cover a lot of ground and see a lot of animals. They offer many different experiences for their visitors.
Parking can be a nightmare depending on the time you go, And the price is a bit up there, but understandably with as many animals as they have. You can however bring your own food into the park.
The animals have good space and the handlers work hard to give them all the stimulation and care they need.
The location is clean and well maintained. A good day tirp

We went here during the pandemic they did an amazing job! Keeping everybody safe and apart. We actually enjoyed the zoo more without all the people!!! It was like we had our own private experience!!

Come prepared to walk A LOT. The new areas for the Giraffe, Elephant, Gorilla, Sea Lions and Big Cats are very well done. Check online prior to going for the schedule of feedings, bird shows, and other animal interactions; where these really set Hogel Zoo apart! Kids love the experience.

it does not really feel like a zoo. the people that work there do not seem to look like they want to be there. Many of the animals looked sickly and warn. It kind of feels like a circus. I mean I'm no one to be saying anything, but if you are going to drop 50 to 100 dollars on a family adventure, I would suggest going to Cabelas instead. There seems to be more life in their stuffed animal zoo then at this one.

Gorgeous facility! So many great animals to see! Fun play areas for children, very clean, tons of restrooms, snack options, everything you could need! They are constantly working to better their habitats for the animals and fundraising for animal conservation and extinction protection. I know there s a lot of debate on weather zoos should be open still or not, but if you do a little research you will the see how hard the Hogle Zoo works to put so much back into the world of animal research and safety you will fall in love with them just as I have! Highly recommend!

Always a great place to visit. I am also happy to see respect the animal signs as I see way too many visitors yelling or bothering the animals. Would advise to go around 1pm as a lot of the animals are fed around the afternoon and are more active.

A fun zoo. We were there early, and many of the animals weren't very active yet. A little patience would have helped, but we were anxious to take advantage of the Natural History Museum package deal. Perhaps it would be better to do the museum first, and the zoo second, if you have to squeeze them into one day as we did.
