Amazing place. Yeoman Steve is great. Reminds me of all the Sgt. Majors I knew but lots nicer. Very Knowledgeable but a little cheeky. The Tower is full of history, you need to see to appreciate.

Very interesting and informative. Warder Moire was wonderful at giving guided tours (which are a must do!) We spent about 4 hours there and still did not see everything!
This is a great place to visit to learn about London's History. The yeoman warder tours are interesting and fun, and the crown jewels and white tower are must-sees.
Great experience. Great atmosphere and information. Highly recommended
What an amazing place. Great to see my old Army mate Yeoman Warder Scott Kelly too.
The staff was amazing! Polite knowledgeable and energetic. On 10/17/19 at 3pm, there was a costumed gentleman given a talk to school children. I was seriously impressed with his knowledge and rapport with the children!!!
Really neat to tour. Plenty of photo opportunities. Food at the restaurant here was very good, but expensive. Our 3 year old had little issue exploring with us.
Wonderful historic view of England. Of course, the crowning glory are the jewels from many lands! Loved the Duke of Wellington centric presentation. Easily a 3-4 hour journey into the past.
Really great experience here. Did the Beefeater tour first then went sightseeing ourselves. Very interesting and worth the visit.
Awesome place to visit. Has a lot of really good history inside. I would recommend that you visit as early as possible. After around 10:00 it gets really busy and the line to see the jewels can take over 45 minutes.
An eerie place.I saw many a ghost there and I nearly fainted. But not bad for a history trip.
Wonderful experience of yesteryear history as well as present.
Nice but deceiving when you compare the actual contents to publicized ones. You'd expect to see more. The jewels section is ok.
I love history and have visited there many times over the years
They said it should take about 3 hours. Liers! I spent almost 6 and still haven't seen everything. Great historical place. Must see in London!!!
Simply awesome. I go every few years, fantastic historical site and lots of small military museums to see. From medieval to modern. Absolutely full of middle fingers to the foes England has fought. Actual guns from Napoleons very own Grand Battery to Cannons that were fired from Spanish galleons. The White Tower is a highlight of mine, hundreds of weapons and armours from throughout history - one too many spoof designs for my taste - a brilliant day out. Honestly the Crown Jewels is the least interesting thing to see here! Please do take the opportunity to go to Tower Hill before/after your trip to pay respect to the thousands who lost their lives at sea during the wars. As well as an opportunity to stand on the spot where many a poor sod were executed by the royal executioners.
Brother Bob Brown and all his colleagues the best in London, all beefeaters should be knighted
Great slice of history lots to see. Try to go on a dry day as there is a lot of outside space to cover.
Lovely way to celebrate 100 years since the end of the Great War
Phenomenal historic castle. 2000 years of incredible history. Wonderful day out for the whole family plus lots and lots to do in the local area. A trip up tower bridge is also worth a visit.
Did not have time to do the guided tour. But walking around the Tower is well worth the price of admission. Easily spend a whole day perusing the absurd amount of history. The only negative is the queue for the crown jewels gets astronomically long. Other than that, a great historical landmark.
An amazing historical place. Steeped is history and mystery
Obviously the historical significance cannot be overstated, but as a tourist experience, it was less than ideal. I went in July, yeah, the peak tourist time and it was packed. Like, so packed that we left after a very short period, despite having paid a king s ransom to get in. There were crazy lines for everything: getting into any tower, the Crown Jewels (nearly 45 minutes outside in the searing heat) and even for any refreshments or toilets. I ve visited in February before and it was a lot better. Cold and rainy, but not so nerve-wrecking with ten thousand other people surrounding you.
I could have spent a day here. Queues were long because it was good weather.
One of the must visit place in London. Near lots of public transportation and next to Tower Bridge. The plaza has various eatery and welcome center but no free restrooms until u go inside the attraction. Nice easy stroll until u get to Crown Jewel hall where lines r hour long.
Loved it especially the tour by the yeoman warder...and a lovely sunny weather helped :)
This is one of my favourite places. The free Beefeater tours are really awesome and they are so good at telling the many stories of Tower! The buildings are very beautiful and holds such a rich story behind them.
This place was by far our favorite stop in London, and we saw a lot of other places. Be sure to take the live tours led by the staff and Warders. They are very informative and entertaining.
A beautiful place to visit. The ticket you can acquire straight from the entrance. You can see the street thru the glass floor.
Having been to London many times this was my first visit. A tip is to go early and beat queues to see crown jewels. Very large area and grounds can easily spend a full day exploring and still not see everything. When I visited there was an acted and musical telling of the story of Ann boleyn. Excellent. They often have such things so check. Fair price for entry.
Cannot help but keep revisiting this living monument to our past. Take in a tour the wardens are hilarious.
Great historical stories here but a bit too piecemeal and disjointed for a foreigner to the UK to fully appreciate and make sense of it all. Great exhibits...and great crowds too! The wait just to see the Crown Jewels was about 45min. Hope you don't go on a day with too many school tours. Rooms and passage ways are really very narrow and the place was obviously not built to accommodate such great crowds. Still, very interesting experience and definitely worth a spot on your itinerary!
A fun place to walk around and see all the knights Armor, weapons, and Crown Jewels. Make sure to leave at least 3 hours or you won t see everything.
The beasts exhibit was very underwhelming so leave that to last if you are short on time. The torture chamber is quick and really only has 3 small things to look at.
The armoury area is a must and takes some time. Crown Jewels is a must if you are at all interested in the royals.
Fantastic place. Plenty of stairs for a good work out.
What else can be said about this phenomenal construction and the perfect views around it? You may see the tower right at the exit of the Tower Hill underground station. The tour is recommended for those who are there for the first time (I had it twice which is more than enough).
This was my second time at Tower of London, and it was just as good as 10 years ago. The guides are funny and excellent at telling the stories surrounding the place, London and the country. I will definitely come back as I didn t have enough time. You could be there a whole day.
If history is your bag and even if isn't the Tower of London is a must see. Good facilities for a day out.
[Dec 2019] I m trying not be overly harsh to such an iconic English landmark but in truth I found it disappointing. The two main areas worth visiting once inside is the White Tower, to see the armour collection, and obviously The Crown Jewels. We visited on what turned out to be a busy day and had to queue for 90 minutes to see the jewels. They are worth the wait and in IMO the best thing about the site. The other exhibits seem to be lacking a little and have been padded out. Good facilities onsite and the staff and Warders are knowledgable and friendly. Overall though; I wouldn t recommend or revisit.
Incredible history encounter, with a variety of museums to visit: from the royal jewels to the old amors and their weapons
You have too some live attractions with staff who teach you a lot about the medieval way of life
Must do in London
Love it! You can feel history and passed times while just seating on the inner square admiring the buildings. And the yearly unlimited entrance pass to 6 Royal palaces is absurdly cheap. Cannot miss it!
I guess one has to go once to try and get the feel of the history of the past in the Tower. There are much more interesting places in London , its definatly overpriced and overrun with tourists!
Great place and super service from the guide. Can use many hours there
Mak sure you take the tour where the Beefeater shows you around. They are very entertaining.
Fantastic place, lots to visit and the Crown Jewels are fantastic. Not 5 stars though as it is very expensive.
Fantastic place. The crown jules are amazing. The actors where great with kids.
A must see in London. The collection of medieval armor and weapons is unmatched
A good morning spent visiting the Tower of London. Interesting, worth a trip. We spent approx 2 hours but an extra hour or 2 would have been better. We decided to go straight to see the crown jewels and as we were visiting in the morning there was no queue.
Dropped one star as the crown jewels weren't quite as impressive as I remembered from childhood!
On the whole remains one of the best historical sites to visit in London.
Lovely place did not go in this time but will return
A very cool, historical place...take the yeoman tour. Viewing the crown jewels was very exciting, but get there early and head straight for the heels to avoid the crowds.
The guided tour was exceptional and I would recommend it to everyone. The queue to see the Crown jewels was too long but that is how it is with all sightseeing nowadays
Fab day out, and reasonably priced. Be prepared to queue on busy days.
A real piece of English history. Very suggestive from outside, huge from inside, you can find a crown jewel collection, the real beefeater, a guided tour held by a beefeater and an armour collection. The tower worked as castle and prison since the foundation around 1000 AD untill the first world war. The castle is really interesting but the several room are poorly furnished and from this point of view the visit is slightly disappointing. The entire visit requires half a day and it's possible to see the famous ravens.
The Tower of London is one of THE best places I have ever been; it's so beautiful and intriguing to walk through hundreds of years of history. The place itself is very informative, and having people dress up in accurate historical costumes adds that extra bit of flavour. Perfect for all the family.
Plan for a minimum of four hours. The employees (in uniform) are all retired military (20+ years) who live on premises. The guards are active military who garrison above the Queens jewels. The white tower contains an impressive collection of arms.
Been to London multiple times, this is always part of the tour. Helps to get there early and go straight for the crown jewels. That leaves plenty of time to explore the rest and there is lots of places to explore
I don't think anne boylynn should have been beheaded wasn't fair! They also locked two boys up which just adds to the injustice of it all! The bricks seemed to vibrate and scream with the souls of the dead Other than that, the crown jewels are very sprakly and pretty so well worth a trip
I love this place. The unique atmosphere of bygone eras and an interesting history at every step. During the visit, we were counting on fewer people, but unfortunately we had to queue for individual attractions. We stood in line for the royal insignia exhibition for a particularly long time, but I think it was worth it. I strongly recommend to visit The Tower of London.
Solid historic tourist experience. Quality tours from the Beefeaters liven it up even for sullen teens.
Perfect place when empty. We we're lucky to be on a private tour.
Very good. You can easily spend an entire day there. The tours are very good and informative
Go as early as possible to allow yourself the day and truly explore this amazing place.
Really awesome sight. So much to see, one could spend an entire day.
Take a full day to wander through this remarkable place of history. The history was well thought out aand explained. I loved it so much I filled my entire SD card with photos.
You gotta go! Very worth it. Went as a child and back again on our honeymoon! So much history.
Beefeaters are amazing. Highly recommend the changing of the keys
Spent a lovely morning at the Tower of London. We were caught for time but could have spent a day here as loads to do. Queued up to see crown jewels - such wealth and history - which was worth the wait. Kids loved it too.
Love this place, the price takes you back abit but worth every penny.
Pretty tough to beat all the other reviews, books, pamphlets and official tours of this iconic place, and all of them are right in the respect that it's one of the must see attractions in London. Visiting the Tower also helps immensely if visiting some of the other castles and churches in southern England as the kings, architects and builders were involved in many structures throughout the southeast. And this doesn't even scratch the surface of the history and events that occurred in the Tower through many centuries. You can usually see the crown jewels on display here which alone is worth the price of admission.
In line with the world class venue that it is, it also boast world class facilities - bathrooms, access, shopping, and its great for kids and families. Highly recommended, don't miss the opportunity to visit if in London.
An excellent place to visit in London. Make sure you have lots of free time to walk in the tower. There are guides to inform you for the history details. There is still a restaurant inside the walls so you dont have to bother if you need some food and time to rest.
So much history and history which covers many different time periods and events. Really enjoyed the spoken tour that the yeoman warden gave. If you love English and British history as I do then this place is a must.
Absolutely beautiful.
A little disappointed that we couldn't take pictures when viewing the Crown Jewels.
But, we did get the book for viewing later.
The place with history. Really great guides in many languages, worthy to listen and walk in the paths of history. Interesting even for teenagers. Royal Jewels is a must see. Really nice place to learn about important elements of English history.
