This was the highlight of my London trip! It's an impressive and truly medieval castle with a varied and rich history. We took a Yeoman Warder tour which was SO worth it! Most of the castle grounds are accessible to the public (you can go up towers or on the ramparts), it's clean and well kept, and while the gift shop has the typical, touristy junk, they also carry relevant history books and decor. Going in the morning is the best time (lighter crowds): then you avoid the really large crowds. If you are a fan of medieval, royalist, or British history, then visiting the Tower of London is a MUST!

Even though it is a touristy place it s well worth it. The history is so rich and the tour with the Yomen is very interesting ( and pretty funny). It s a beautiful place ( with a dark past) in a beautiful city.

Full of history, the Yeoman talks were a must see before you start your day there. Then the crown jewels and then walking along to see the white tower and all the other bits. Look out for the local tower ravens! They're amazing and my favorite of Britain's treasures.

Ticketing and access is hopelessly disorganised. Just queued 30mins to buy tickets!
Now had to join another queue for over an hour to actually access the property:(.
Tickets can be bought online and are slightly cheaper, BUT have to be printed out or won t be accepted!!!
Come on guys this is 2019!!

Most of your visitors are from overseas and certainly don t carry printers with us!
Very disappointed, inefficiently run and very frustrating. Must try harder...

It's somewhere I've always wanted to go.... Brilliant guided tour and then the chance to explore for yourself.. We spent over 5hrs there and still didn't see it all! Just remember to wear comfy walking shoes! Xx

So much to do its confusing at first and we missed events. Recommend going on a Yeoman tour first as it orientates you so you know what you're looking at. Also Yeoman can advise when queues are shortest eg go to see Crown jewels towards end of day when there is no queue and you can look at the jewels for longer.

A dream come true for anyone who loves castles. Crowded, yes. But the crowds do move pretty quickly. We didn't take the opportunity to see the jewels, that line was epic in length. But we saw everything else to offer and we're quite pleased!

Always a favourite with our family. Great tourist attraction housing the crown jewels. Lots going on for children and adults bringing history to life. We also went to a food festival just inside the grounds, really enjoyable.

Made us all feel very welcome and supported as one in our party was in a wheel chair, but they did all that they could to ensure we got to see a fair amount of the Towers, despite the limited access. Don't be afraid to ask questions of the actors in period costumes. They really helped bring the history to life and shared some amazing knowledge of key people in those times. Ques for the jewels was long, long, long, but thankfully we were given priority. Wonderful day.

Iconic and historic, and arguably the most important building in the history of the English speaking world. Make sure to get there early to see the crown jewels, as queue grows insanely long come midday. There's enough there to spend 3 hours easily, and we'll worth the visit.

Pretty cool place. Saw a teenager run into the guards hut when he wasn t looking and then he got caught by a beefeater who proceeded to grill this kid and said that guard has a bayonet and he could ve turned you into a satay skewer! Lol, satay skewer what a joker.

Entry is steep, but the tower gives you several hours of solid entertainment. There are free guided tours with yeoman wanderers, our guide had a fantastic personality. Relatively interesting exhibits, if you're a history buff this is right up your alley. Only downside is price.

This place is amazing and a real feel for what it would have been like back in the 1200s onwards!

There are many different sections with the Crown Jewels being the highlight in this journey. In fact some of the jewels are still used to date and kept there.

Nice place to visit! You can easily spend some time admiring the view, and the beautiful castle close to the bridge. There is some shows in front of this castle. You can get here by boat, with I really recommend.

It was my first visit to The Tower of London Yesterday, I thought it was breathtakingly beautiful, and such a fascinating history too. It made me feel very proud to be British - I would give ten stars if I could! The Ravens, The Crown Jewels, the armoury - all of it fantastic. The Yeoman Warders were so friendly too.

Seriously, how can one not like this fortress? William the Conqueror, Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Richard III, the princes in the Tower plus the crown jewels. Yeoman are great historians so ask them questions about the Tower and history. Where else does one find historians ready at hand?

Great place to visit, very interesting and well kept . We went at the time of the poppy display and that was incredible and moving . The only criticism is the queues to get in but I suppose that with alot of people visiting everyday that is what is expected. Tickets are worth the price

Billy the Beefeater was incredible. I don't think I've ever laughed so much and learned such valuable historical insights on significant historical events. I would highly recommend his tour and the whole site has such amazing history and things to see. The entrance fee was quite high but it was worth every penny!

Well thought out and executed, pardon the pun, tourist attraction. The individual sights are well posted and any queues you encounter move quickly. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It's always a pleasure to sight see here and gain a very hands on approach to London history

Really enjoyed our visit to the Tower of London! Would highly recommend taking a tour with one of the Beefeaters who guard the tower. Plan to spend at least a few hours as there's LOTS to see.

Fantastic day out for all the family. 9 and 13yr olds had a great time. Full of amazing facts and history, beautiful inside and out. Yeoman tours are very interesting funny and kept my 2 children intrigued by what has pasted in the tower More

Great display of armoury and waiting on line to see the crown jewels is well worth it! The queue usually moves pretty quickly. Good cafe area to get a bit to eat or drink during your visit. The audio guide is certainly worth paying for as it's quite detailed and gives a good route map to plan your visit.

Wonderful place. The beefeaters tour was very good and also informative. The crown jewels we're interesting as well as all the history that goes along with them. Easy to access from the Underground and the tickets were reasonably priced. Make sure to check out the ravens while you're there.

We did the Yeoman warder tour and it was a lot of great information before we began to explore on our own. Best tip our guide gave us was to visit the Crown Jewels at 5pm (they close at 5:30). We walked right on through, no waiting!

One can easily spend the whole day here. Highlights of the visit include the Crown jewels, the White tower, chapel and the guided tour by a Yeoman warder. The guide was so entertaining and cracked many hilarious jokes! Beware the ghosts...

This is a so-called medieval tower building and the armory and some sort of medieval collection of armours but it's not really a medieval collection adjuster armour collection probably it from the new time but still it's quite interesting please go there and enjoy your visit. What is really interesting it is a crown collection of jewellery. The jewellery and the gold is astonishing. Unless it is a fake But I do not think so. Looks like it is real. I like it the most. Please go there and enjoy your visit. I THINK you do not regret it.

Fantastic day out for the family, lots to see and do, more than you would expect. 1000 years of history well presented. Would advise going on a week day out of school hols to avoid crowds/queues if possible.

A fort, a castle, a mint, a prison. Also at one point...a zoo.
Just one of those experiences that is essential for the soul. This and St. Paul's.

Great for all ages. If you have children with you, make sure you ask for the activity sheet/pack for children. The audio guides are not great if you want to look at specific items in a building as they are 'follow the route style.

Two Tips: (1) go see the crown jewels early before the lines get too long and (2) the views behind the tower have some of the best photo opportunities of the Thames River and the Tower Bridge (you actually don t need a ticket to get to this area).

Great place to visit in London. The Yeoman made the intro to the day really memorable!! Cafe very disappointing if you are Celiac or gluten intolerant. They do not cater for allergies very well.

The tower of London is packed with historical significance. From stronghold to palace to prison, its fascinating. Crown jewels are housed here and are worth the wait. The queue moves quick. Check out the carvings of prisoners as they waited for their sentence. Its a must see!
