This was my first time at Twin City Subaru and it was well worth the drive! Dylan was beyond amazing to work with. He was very patient, even after emailing with me weeks before hand. This was one of the best car buying experiences I ve had. You can tell that they truly care about their customers here and that made the experience that much better! I absolutely recommend them and will be back in the future!

DO NOT FALL FOR THIER LIES! Salesman told me a price for a new car over the phone after talking for 30 minutes. When I came in, the price was all of a sudden $2500 more. The sales manager then came over and asked me to be sympathetic for him. Why was I told an unobtainable price over the phone? This must be a tactic they use to lure people in. I left dissatisfied and went to Burlington Subaru where I was treated fairly and honestly. I called Burlington Subaru right after I left Twin City Subaru. Burlington Subaru gave me a price over the phone - $1500 below asking. I immediately went to Burlington Subaru, where I ACTUALLY PAID $1500 below asking. I purchased the vehicle within minutes at Burlington Subaru and left extremely happy. This made up for spending 2 hours at Twin City Subaru, only to leave extremely upset. I'm sure a lot of people fall for the games that Twin City Subaru plays to get you in the door. Please do not be a victim.

Great first car experience! Frankie was very helpful and also patient with it being my first time in a dealership making any kind of big purchase. Frankie and the whole crew up at Twin City Subaru were great to work with and did everything they could to make it all happen for me without being pushy or sneaky like lots of those guys are stereotyped to be like. Definitely look forward to working with them again in the future!

My husband, Sam D'Avignon and myself just upgraded to 2021 Touring Forester and we couldn't be happier!!! This is the second vehicle in under 4 years that Jim Glassford helped us with. We had such a great experience with him and dealership as a whole the first time, that we knew we wanted to work with them again! So we sought him out and Jim did not let us down! So easy and painless. Jim was a joy to be around, and the whole staff was just awesome! A huge thank you to everyone there, and we will for sure be buying every new vehicle from Jim Glassford until he retires!

Just wanted to let anyone know that Twin City Subaru would be the place I would recommend to my mother to go buy a car!! This dealership will take very good care of you to ENSURE that your needs are met. Not, their "needs" but, your needs! They are NOT just there to make a sale but help ensure that you get the car that "you" want. I just purchased a XV Crosstrek and love it and appreciate all the work that Mike Rivet and Christopher Davis went through to make the sale go smoothly and to make sure my expectations were met!!! From the moment I sent a message to inquire about a used vehicle on the lot they had at Twin City, Paul provided stellar customer service. His communication was prompt both with email and phone calls. He was forthright with all questions asked about the fees included when purchasing. He was able to schedule me an appointment to come test drive the vehicle - the dealership is safe and sanitary and provide plenty of social distancing space for potential buyers. UPDATED: My reviews got their attention and my refund was finally issued. Bumped my review up to 2 stars, as it still took about a month for this to be resolved.

I had simply ordered a windshield washer pump from these people. They took the $55.00 out of my bank account for the total cost. A couple of days later, I received an email saying that it could take 10 weeks for the pump to come in, so I decided to cancel my order. I received an email saying that I would receive a full refund. It has been about a month now, and I have even emailed Monty Grandfield, who I believe to be the manager, multiple times and this place refuses to refund me the $55.00. I am not going to simply let you keep my money! My bank account shows that you took the $55.78 way back on February 13th, see my attachment, and yet I have NOT received my refund. Your company is awful and I will never, ever be doing business with you again, but I am still owed my damn money!

A great place. Tony worked with us to get just the car we wanted and needed. No pressure, all support. He even watched our boys as we took our test drive. Saturdays are busy, so it did take a while, but I couldn't imagine kinder people. Also had great help from the gentleman who took us through the paperwork. I forget his name, but Henry's dad printed pictures for the kids to color. Highly recommended.

From the time we walked into the dealership, we were pleasantly surprised by the genuine friendliness of all employees, from the General Manager, every Sales Consultant, the receptionist to the Financing Expert. Then, working with our sales Consultant, Joe Sweeney, we found just the right person for us! He was fully engaged with us, offering us information, asking about our needs, making suggestions and maintaining a professional manner, but also being a real and honorable person. I've purchased many cars and I can honestly say that Joe Sweeney was one in a million. (P.S. Everyone was also very welcoming our Golden Retriever who came along to be sure his seat was the right size for him!

I had owned a second hand Subaru for nearly six and half years before the frame succumbed to the rust from Vermont winters and it became unable to pass inspection. With half of October left before I didn t have a road legal vehicle I went to speak to Jim Glassford and had one of the most simple and courteous car buying experiences I ve ever had. I had inadvertently contacted him on his day off with my situation and he still responded to schedule a time to sit down with me (which was the next day). I told him what I was interested in trying to find as a replacement and we discussed the options available. He was extremely polite and was very attentive to the predicament I was in. I can t thank him enough for his prompt responses to my emails with questions that resulted in such a stressful situation being resolved in three days with the papers being signed on a certified Legacy that my family and myself absolutely love riding around in. Jim and I have a lot of mutual acquaintances and he made sure to ask about nearly all of them in the time I spent at the dealership. It was so nice to be dealing with someone that genuinely cared about his customer and their need. Thank you so much Jim and the Twin City Subaru crew! Keep up the great work!

I recently leased a 2014 Subaru Forester from Twin City Subaru. This is the fourth Forester I have had and I couldn't be happier. The sales rep, Jim Glassford, was fantastic. He was professional, courteous, and at all times went out of his way to make my lease experience a true pleasure. As a result, we traded in my wife's Toyota Matrix and leased an Impreza. Once again, Jim was superb. I highly recommend this dealership and in particular, Jim Glassford.

We recently traded in our car for one more suited to Vermont weather and driving conditions. The staff at Twin City Subaru was able to get us in same morning on short notice without an appointment.
Our sales person, Jenn, was exemplary. She was upfront and honest from minute one. Jenn found our auto needs through casual conversation before approaching which cars to show us. She genuinely took interest in us to cater our experience toward a more fire side chat than buying a car.
Our experience was as stress free and casual as visiting friends. From the sales manager, Bryan, explaining options to Dan in service accomidating our tight work schedules the process was no pressure and without aggressive upsale.

Worst service, last year had my viscous coupler replaced in Transmission and they left the drive shaft bolts loose. Tried telling me it was cupped tires causing shake. Now they just did airbag recall and now my A/C don't work and took a chunk out of my dash, also messed up wires on satellite radio. I'm done with them they are a butcher shop.

A very happy third time Subaru owner (keeping each for ~150,000 miles or more). I recently purchased a new Outback Touring XT. My 2013 3.6R Outback was over 155,000 miles and I really wanted to hit 200k on it, but things happened. I was in a pinch. The XT was all the way in Vermont while I live in Connecticut...turned out not be an issue at all! Luckily I had some work to do in Vermont the day after contacting Jose Oliver and Dylan Otis at Twin CIty. They handled all the parts on their end as if I were across the desk from them. Never really would have thought that a sight-unseen car purchase without a dealer visit would go so well., The day after I contacted them I filled out my credit app, and sent the needed things like license, current registration and insurance. A deliver driver, Cinder (short for Cindy), met me where I was in Vermont just one day after. SO...within two days I was in a new car I needed. NO pressure even with them knowing the position I was in. Thank you TC Team!

I was desperate

I was desperate for manual transmission and Twin Cities was the secret! They not only have bigger stock but service has been incredible so far. Feels like family. Honest and cooperative, which is smart because you can check it all online now anyhow. Popcorn is free but more importantly delicious. Bentley the Aussie shepherd ( I think) entertains you while you wait for paperwork. I will be using dealership a lot even though it's 90 min. away...I trust them. Right now I'm in loaner while they treat upholstery--was no problem at all.

Took the time to make sure everything was right. With covid we had to a lot via email and Frank always responded quickly, and explained things clearly. Highly recommend Frank and this dealership.

I went to Twin City Subaru to have some recall work done on my Forester. When I called to make the appointment, I had to wait a few months to get the work done but that was the only negative part of my experience. The recall work was not critical so I was OK with the wait. The rest of my experience with the service department was excellent. I waited a few hours while the work was being done (which I had been told ahead of time) so I had a lot of time to observe the dealership. My impression is that it is a very well facility.

I can't say enough positive things about my experience working with Twin City Subaru. The service I received from both Frankie and Desmond were outstanding. It was my first time doing business with Twin City and I'm sure it won't be the last. They went above and beyond to get me into the exact car I wanted. Frankie is truly a gem. His knowledge of the cars and all the complex features blew me away. He really knows his stuff and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Definitely worth the drive even though there were other dealerships closer to home.

Looking for recall repair?? I have just had a horrific experience at Twin City Subaru. I have a 2012 Impreza which I waited six months for my recall appointment, three of which the car was not driven. I understand that they are very busy in regards to these repairs. I was asked the morning I arrived for my long awaited appointment that I may need to reschedule because there were no loaner cars available. After I was told I would be pushed back out until December I simply asked if they could make some sort of loaner work or reimburse me for a rental. This was handled within a half hour of my arrival. I explained to the administrator I worked with that my car was being sold as soon as the recalls were performed and that my original plan of repairs was no longer valid. I requested a new battery and the recalls to be addressed. I had to follow up 4 times to figure out when I would need to drop the loaner back off. I was not rushed to receive my car but was concerned with the lack of flexibility in my schedule for a 2.5 hour round trip to come up last minute. My original quote was for 2 days. I dropped my vehicle off Thursday morning and I picked it up- Monday night. I would rather have it done right than rushed, plus I had a loaner in the meantime. I was told that my car was able to be pulled into the shop Monday around 12:30 and received notification that the vehicle would be ready to pick up that evening by 3. The same short notice scenario I was trying to avoid. There was work done that I did not ask for. After negotiating with Paul I was forced to pay for a portion of these charges for services I did not request. I left the dealership feeling taken advantage of but hopeful that the work that was done was done well. I noticed the smell of oil on the drive home and pulled over. By this time the service department was closed. After inspecting the car I have 2 new chips in my windshield, the a/c was left unhooked, partially drained and I did not receive a battery replacement. I came specifically to Twin City instead of Burlington Subaru because of reviews. As of right now I have nothing but horrific things to say about this outfit and my experience with their GM. I have never been so irate in my life. I am in the market for a 2018- 2019 vehicle but after the way I was treated I don't have any reason to purchase a vehicle from this establishment nor will I allow them to "fix" their mistakes.

I called because the battery in my 2019 Subaru Out...

I called because the battery in my 2019 Subaru Outback with less than 1000 miles on it repeatedly dies. If I don't drive it for more than one day, the battery is dead, regardless of how much I drive or "charge" it. The representative who I talked with responded to this by saying that the batteries on these cars are small and that I need to drive it every day or else the battery will die. I then suggested that it could be an alternator issue and she responded by saying " I haven't seen more than one alternator issue with these cars during the last 5 years so I doubt it's that". Her tone was dismissive and when I asked if I could take it in regardless, her response was that they were booked for the next few weeks at least.

Regardless of the lack of customer service, how is this an acceptable response? Even if this is a factory issue, no brand new vehicle should come with an embedded problem like this. No one should have to worry about driving their vehicle over the weekend so that it starts Monday morning.

After our second car unexpectedly kicked the bucket, my husband and I found ourselves in need of a new vehicle. We were on a tight budget but needed something reliable, safe, and great on dirt roads in the snow. Eric Lane understood our parameters and objectives and was very knowledgable about all our options. He didn't try to upsell us on things we didn't need, but helped us to see where there was real value for us in leasing a 2018 model rather than one of the remaining 17s. In an afternoon, we went from dreading the idea of spending anything on a car, to having a lease that suits our needs perfectly at a fair price and an amazing Crosstrek to drive. Eric has been incredible gracious and helpful. And, his treatment of me didn't change at all after my husband left the dealership. As a woman buying a car, it's refreshing (and sadly, still rare) to be treated with the same respect on my own as with my husband around. I highly recommend Eric & Twin Cities Subaru.

Dan Barone at Twin City Subaru in Montpelier, Vermont is an exceptional car salesman. I live in Chittenden County and was going to buy here at Burlington, Subaru but didn't feel like I was getting a good deal. I emailed Twin City with some interest and the next day, in the SNOW, Dan Barone made an iMovie of a car I was looking at! I am a teacher and couldn't talk on the phone with him but we emailed throughout the day. He answered every single question I had and was transparent in the entire process. None of those car salesman "tricks of the trade" were needed. I felt like he heard exactly what I was looking for and he did the leg work to make sure I got what I needed. We had the pleasure of meeting Jim when we purchased our first lease in 2010. I can see why he's still a valued employee at Twin City. It's like sitting down with a family member you really like and haven't seen for a while. He puts you very at ease with the whole process (which is a minimal process as it is!) and is very up front with the total costs involved. I was also impressed with how this dealership works together as a team. I have no problem referring Jim to my friends or family!

I can't say enough great things about my experience with Joe Sweeney at Twin City Subaru. I had an accident a few days before and was looking for a new car in a pinch, so I was really a salesperson's dream! This being said, I never felt remotely pressured or taken advantage of, in fact my experience was just the opposite. Joe was incredibly helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. His easy going nature allowed me to clearly make the decision about purchasing my new car, with out any added pressure. Three months later I can honestly say I had a great experience because of Joe, and I would recommend Twin City to any one who is thinking about purchasing a Subaru!

Best Car Buying Ever

While shopping around for a new vehicle, we had a bad experience at another Subaru dealership but really wanted to consider a Subaru. So we travelled to Twin City, walked in the door and Tony greeted us warmly. He set about asking questions to determine our needs. He compared 2 different vehicles with us, took us on a test drive, all the while explaining various features. Tony did his job of selling like a true professional, without making us feel pressured. Despite the dealership being very busy, the atmosphere was relaxed and so friendly. All of our questions were answered, a fair price was negotiated and we were thrilled with the deal. Every aspect of the financing was explained clearly. This was the best car buying experience ever for us. We will definitely recommend Tony and the folks at Twin City Subaru to everyone!

I bought my first Subaru here and everyone has been very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. They provide a shuttle service locally, which helps fit in service on a busy schedule. They are on top of any recalls and take care of them promptly. They have never tried to upsell me anything and keep me informed of the percentage of my breaks so I'm not taken by surprise when they will need to be replaced. Annual inspections are free if you buy your car here. The icing on the cake is that they wash your car when they are done servicing it. I love this dealership!

Just bought a car. These guys were fantastic, I feel like I was given a fair price on my trade and a really excellent price on my gently used Outback. My first experience there was in 2012 when their service department rebuilt my forester engine when it blew at 61,000 miles. Turns out there was also an odometer recall on my car that they found...and discovered my engine was still under warranty. The $5k job was free. That's the kind of integrity and service I expect of Subaru, and this dealership delivers. Nice team to work with, I'd buy a car there anytime. PS- as a single woman, buying a car can be exhausting, there is still a lot of bias in how you are treated. These guys won't talk to you like you're an idiot. That gets them 11/10 in my book. Someday that won't get folks extra points, but for now it's important to note.

Fortunately, Twin City had the exact same car, knew how to deliver a wonderful service, and earned my business. The sales process was easy, straight forward, and stress-free. Desmond Culcleasure provided no-pressure financing options with various plans for maintenance and warranty options. Twin City Subaru is 40 minutes away from my home and I'd rather drive there to have my car serviced than give my business to the local dealer.

Anthony was awesome! I wanted something similar to my wrx but more practical for my daily life. He suggested I try a 6 speed forester, so I felt like I was in a sports car still (more or less), and I loved it!! After test driving 8 vehicles, this was the one for me! Subaru is extremely reliable and safe which was my number one priority. I recommend them to everyone!!

We want to thank the staff of Twin City Subaru for their excellent help in making us the proud owners of a Subaru Outback. We especially want to sing the praises of the salesperson Frankie Candido for the amazing and phenomenal service presented to us during our quest to buy an Outback. How can we forget how he guided us through the safety features of this Outback and then showed us all the other endless features from the trunk to the dashboard,. He played the role of an excellent mechanical engineer with a deep and total understanding of every moving part and device (there are many) this vehicle has to offer. He played the part of a Broadway actor as he memorized many sections of the vehicle's manual while rattling off his lines with precision, never missing a beat.

His demeanor goes without saying but only to be highlighted with the words polite, humble, assertive, self-confident, sensitive and personable.
When it came to the financial pert of the process, he was the center piece of fairness and agreeableness. We were impressed with his motivation to succeed as noted by him going the extra mile with multiple follow-up to flush communications to flush out issues and concerns where the new
owner Cynthia might need clarification. Thanks,Frankie, for making a very stressful experience actually enjoyable.

I went to Twin City to trade in my front wheel drive car for an AWD Subaru. I was very lucky to have Anthony for a sales person. I had such a great time working with Anthony to find the right car for me. I leased my first car from Twin City Subaru and had a very enjoyable experience. As my lease end was quickly approaching, I was happy to return to see what my options were. I will say I was leaning toward purchasing my car out of the lease because it never failed me on Vermont's dirt, snowy, and winding roads. Anthony Goldsmith at Twin City talked through many options. He was very kind, articulate, and listened to what I wanted in a car.
