Free rooms is awesome but only at the cost of losing all your money at their slot machines. I think they only pay 85% of your money back when they could do 90%. The buffet use to be amazing but now it's not heavenly like it use to be.then they jack up the price because it's "champagne day" every weekend but the champagne is a nasty 6 dollar bottle of poison. No one even drinks it.

Stayed here for a weekend for our Christmas party. Rooms are clean but a little run down. Hotel could use some updates. Casino is nice. Buffet looked good but was closed for cleaning during our stay.

I stayed the week during Christmas, and left the afternoon before New Year's Eve! I had reservations, and I had therapeutic animal with me. Parking went well, it was free, the room was clean, the TV was big and modern, and the beds... If I could have (accidentally) taken 1 thing home with me, it definitely would have been that bed! During my stay, I used my 2 complimentary nights, 2 complimentary nights offered for friends and family, and then 2 more complimentary nights with an additional friends and family discount, total price for the double occupancy room, in the tower, for the entire stay of 6 nights... NOTHING!!! The Poolside Cabana had the BEST FOOD, for THE BEST PRICE! Trust me, you won't regret getting anything they sell! Delicious,Tasty, Yummy, Mmmm, followed by... "Get your own" ... The complementary Bloody Mary's were perfect, the slot machines were titillating, and the atmosphere was absolutely magical! My visit to the Tropicana, was my first vacation, after having an 'empty nest', (your kids are grown and gone) and I absolutely LOVED my entire stay!
As a matter of fact...
YOU should do the same thing, Right Now! ;)

I worked at the Tropicana for a couple of months as a slot technician the hours were 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. I knew my job very well and I enjoyed it a bit boring but I kept myself busy but the other slot attendants where are very disrespectful they were insecure uptight jealous intimidated so the career there and did quite short ride reported them to the director Human Resources he couldn't tell me any information he just told me to reapply for another position but they were happy to have me but sorry I guess they didn't think of as a fit for the slot Department.

Tropicana has been very good to me. The staff and the casino, let's just say has shown up when I have needed it. Of course not always because they just can't, no casino can always but overall. Not a negative thing to say. It's always been a delight when at the will of Tropicana and all they offer.

We stayed Sunday 16th April to 19th.
Check in was easy and quick. Room was clean and very nice.
Having a coffee maker and fridge was great. Shower had good water pressure . Beds and pillows were comfortable to sleep on.
Comps and free play were excellent .Amber from players club was very helpful and explained everything.
Our meals in Carnegie's Dining Car was very good .Service was good
Sandy was our server and did a great job. Meals at the Buffet were very good excellent selections and fresh and hot. We had Breakfast in buffet 2 mornings and dinner once and all 3 times everything was very good.Special Thanks to Diana at Buffet who made our meals very enjoyable. Staff on Floor go the extra step to make sure players are taken care of.
From booking the rooms till we checked out our time at the Trop was the best ever. Plan on returning in October and again in Jan. Thanks for a great stay.

Rooms are nice, clean . But long walk & uphill from casino. Carnegie cafe is very reasonable with good good. Check-in easy & quick, however if you requested a certain type of room with your reservation, don't plan on getting it.

Very busy casino. They have so many cool new slots. The lady at the players club was very pleasant. Cocktail waitresses were never around and the only one I saw was super rude to me. So I left...

Not the nicest looking place when you think of Italian cuisine but the staff is super nice, courtesy, and helpful! They also have great bottomless food deals. You can get bottomless Soup & Salad or Bottomless Pasta with Soup and Salad included. Both of these options are less than $15! The salad is a salad bar and they have two options of soup that rotate. The bottomless pasta does not include meat but they have so many options for you to choose from between noodles and sauces. I thought I could eat two bowls but with all that food I can barely get one down! They also serve some AMAZING bread sticks you can get full off of by itself. Great value!

We were staying at the Edgewater 4 nights comped. We went over to the Tropicanna to do some gambling and within an hour, we talked about taking our remaining days there. Great place!!
Roomy, Airy, Windows to look out. Any machine you could ever want. We will book next time with them. No doubt about it.

Bummer that the table games are closed until July 1st. Also my hotel room was very dirty which is a first. The housekeepers should really clean the headboards every once in a while...yuck!

Rooms need major updating. We are in a "resort room" and they're disgusting. Carpet is so dirty and we found womans hair clips behind the night stand.if I could give it neg stars I would.

Do not stay here. It's not safe or secure. Aggressive drivers, people just hanging out in parking structure. They are supposed to be refunding me but charges are still pending. There are better places in Laughlin to stay.

When to the Tropicana to eat, stoped by at Carnegies. The zucchini fried strips and Ruben were great. For dessert we got an eclair. It was awesome!! Service was great. The Tropicana it's self was a nice looking casino, good looks without any bad orders.

This is a good hotel to stay at for the price, nothing special but nothing bad.. i guess you get what you pay for here! On the positive side the rooms we got were very affordable with a good view. The rooms were clean and ready for us when we arrived, no issue there. The staff was friendly and the valet was quick to get our cars. I could be wrong but the smoke smell in the main casino/lobby area seemed heavier than in most of the other hotels near by. The gambling floor was small and does not have many table games as well as the bar does not have a large selection of drinks to choose from. I also wish that the hot tub stayed open past 10pm but that's just wishful thinking not a negative. Overall not a bad place to stay if your main goal is playing on the river all day but if you are looking for good restaurants and entertainment than i would choose another spot personally.

One of my favorite casinos in Laughlin. Trying to find a place to eat is quite another thing because many of their restaurants aren't open just a couple of days a week. If you're fortunate enough to be there the food is pretty good. A little pricey for me. The buffet is quite expensive and the dinner servings had only three main protein items. They did have tacos and pasta and such as that. A lot of the food was overdone or dried out. But otherwise you have maybe a burger car which I have not eaten in or the Carnegie Diner which is open 24 hours I think. As to the hotel they have modernized with microwaves in the rooms but other than that it's the same as it's been for the 25 or more years I've been going there.

Overall not too bad. There were several good points and several bad ones. I will share them both and let you decide for yourself.
The good:
The food options were plentiful and priced at about what you would expect for a resort hotel. ($25.00 for a meal for two.)
The hotel room was clean and the king size bed was comfortable.
Bar service was excellent. (Sat at the Grand Junction bar, very friendly bartender.)
Nice central location in Laughlin.
The bad:
Service from the front desk and wait staff at the cafe were lackluster at best.
Carpet in the room was old and needed to be stretched out again.
The lighting in the room was poor, as it was difficult to see into the closet and in the main living space.
The ugly:
The shower and the shower head were like standing under a garden hose on a soaker setting. Great if you want to water plants, not so good for taking a shower.
One of the maids just walked into our room at 10:48am without knocking, check out is 11:00 am.
Overall not a horrible experience, but you do get what you pay for. I will come back and at least then I will have a better idea of what to expect!
