My original post titled "Great overall experience" on June 5 was a bit premature. I should have waited at least 30 days before I provided my feedback. The A/C started blowing hot air after 3 weeks into our ownership and guess what, no assistance is being offered by Toyota of Tampa Bay, just an apology. The temporary tag provided by the dealer expires today, and I was promised that I would have my permanent tag by the end of the day, which did not occur. Now we have a vehicle with broken A/C and an expired tag.

Being in the service industry, I fully understand what great customer service is and your dealership exemplifies it. I have never been disappointed with the service. I have become accustomed to being treated with great customer service. My Toyota is a 2008 and has never been serviced outside of Toyota. Keep up the good work. I'll be in for my next service shortly. Thanks for the free truck wash!
Thank you Steve Canalejo. You have definitely turned my thinking around. You are a man of your word. You have succeeded in turning a prior bad experience to a much better experience. You did a wonderful job. I appreciate the effort you took in taking care of the whole situation.
My name is Deborah Dowdy. I bought a car today from Alan Brodsky at Toyota of Tampa Bay. The service was extraordinary and I walked out with an amazing car for my price range. I appreciate Alan's effort in making sure I made the best decision possible. He did not care how long it took, he was determined to help at any cost. I am so happy with my purchase and will be returning when I decide to purchase again. He also bought me lunch. :)
Great place to buy a car! Ask for Mohammad Rahman. He is easy to work with & very knowledgeable! Their business manager, Ammar Al-aghawani is also fantastic! This is my second time buying a car from Toyota of Tampa Bay & I highly recommend them.
It was such a great experience! Meagan dozier was very helpful; friendly, and patient. She helped with all the things I wanted, and made sure I was satisfied.
Joe Maxey was phenomenal...I live in Wesley Chapel and I drive all the way down to Fletcher just because of the great customer service I recieved everytime I came in for an oil change. Not only are there service staff amazing...but the sales staff is just as great!! Never felt pressured by them at all, they took the time to explain my options and ended up getting a brand new 2019 CHR!! I couldn't be any more happier with my purchase and the customer service I continue to receive here. I 100% recommend Toyota of Tampa Bay!!
The sale person Abraham Abdullah was great friendly and helpful we couldn't have done it if not for him. Went above and beyond .We definitely will coming back also will be sending him customers Thank for a great experience
Although I tell myself that I don't like taking my car to the dealership for repairs or servicing I find myself often going back to Toyota of Tampa Bay. This last experience probably sums up why. My wife's car had to be towed in for repairs my AC compressor kit or unit completely came apart cause of my belt come off along with some other components in the area . The service manager Delbert was completely honest with me about what happened and what it's gonna take to get the car back working properly . Although I brought the car in there on a Friday and he was off Saturday Sunday and Monday he still kept in contact with me and allow me to call his cell phone number when I had questions about the repairs and cost. He was able to deliver the repairs of the vehicle same day as promised and even when I came there unannounced and he was out on his lunch break he still turned around just so he can meet us as we never met since my car was towed in through roadside service. I know everybody doesn't like dealing with car repairs unfortunately everyone have to at some point. If you want top shelf excellent service go see Delbert down at Toyota of Tampa Bay and also when we got there David was outstanding he came in a just us and assisted us and getting the paperwork completed and also applying for a six month interest free credit card to help pay for the repairs. They both were never pushy throughout the whole process Delbert never rushed or forced me to make decisions he gave me my options and his recommendations or if it was a necessity he will stay why this had to be repaired or fixed. The The car is driving better and cooling quite nicely thank you Toyota of Tampa Bay. Thank you David and Delbert
Excellent Toyota dealership. I highly recommend this dealership to all Toyota owners for quality repairs, car purchases, parts, and other related services.
5 Stars to Toyota of Tampa bay and Santiago Orozco...We had a great experience , and after the usual new car haggling back and forth we really got an awesome deal ! Highly recommended and go see Santiago O.. This dealership is home to the nice deals ! Thanks again from Margarita Ospina...
I had a very good experience at Toyota of Tampa Bay. Being a first time car buyer all the employs were super helpful. One in particular was a cashier named Kai. She was very understanding and helpful with explaining everything that needed to be done!
So the vehicle I bought from them I am enjoying but I did have an issue with them mailing me my registration which cost me another 32 dollars and they never sent me my 25 dollar test drive money.I am supposed to buy my daughter another car we will see if I go back.i have bought 5 cars from Tampa Hondaland and had some great experiences.
Called to get quote on Prius transmission fluid replacement Called the Toyota Dealer To get the job done right I was quoted $400. This is what I'm writing this for ->"Stating it takes Toyota World Standard (WS) ATF 13-14 quarts at $10 a quart that is the reason for the sizable price". I checked Youtube video's saying it take's 4 quarts. Called another Toyota dealer in clearwater and was Quoted $189.88 after investigating because they hadn't had to many request for the service. Asked about the amount of fluid he didn't know that info would be retrieved from vehicle id. Just thought being Dealership should know its own cars and not quote off the cuff and do they service off the cuff too this is what happen and I'm sticking to it.
Here if there are real cunning people in selling, not like Miami, I recommend them from miami, I was going to attract my car until there, they asked me for $ 10,000 for that class of vendors in Miami.
Beware when using their collision department, Todd. I had my 2017 Infiniti QX50 repaired there for a minor accident ( a driver tapped the driver s side of my vehicle that knocked my front bumper off in the parking lot of a gas station). This dealer replaced the bumper every headlamp except one in the front of my vehicle @ retail cost ( verified with Infiniti of Tampa Bay that services my vehicle) for the fog lamps ($1000 for the drivers side and $1600 for passenger side). I took the bumper to them and can t believe they couldn t be used due to no scratches etc. This minor repair ended up costing almost $10,000. When I questioned it, Todd s response was due to the type of car. I don t drive a Range Rover etc. For this price one would think that my vehicle was involved in a front end collision. Smh. I reported my findings to the asst mgr that supposively going to refund the insurance company but I ve yet to receive a revised invoice. Feels like they took advantage of me being a woman and insurance claim.
Prices are way to high, and salesmen are too intense. Decided to get both our Cars though Evo Motors and we got a way better deal for almost half the price and stress.
I had my timing belt fixed on 5/6/17. I have a Honda Accord and looking back I should have gotten it fixed somewhere else. During the time I had my timing belt repaired, I was told that my oil pan needed to be replaced. I replaced it. The total cost was $847.47. At that time, I was not told that any caps, gaskets, covers, etc needed to be placed. I noticed that my car was running unusual a couple months following the maintenance repair. I also noticed some oil leakage. I called Toyota and got the run around. I took my car to Honda as I was un-trusting of Toyota dealership following the run-around. Honda only did a diagnostic and said the gaskets, etc near the timing belt should have been replaced and that everything was not sealed properly. I called the Toyota dealership a couple times and finally retuned 12/21/17 for the seals to be checked since they did the original maintenance repair. On 12/21/17, the manager Robert said he would make the issue "right" and replace the seals and not charge me as much labor. Please see receipt dated 12/21/17. He was vague with which seals were changed in his documentation. The oil continued to leak. As a result, I went back again. They mentioned needing to place a dye in the car to "figure out" where the oil leak was located. Following that, the repair manager Jacin said it was the oil pan and that it needed to be replaced. I allowed them to replace it after they mentioned giving me a repair discount for my troubles. I was swindled. After looking through all my receipts, they had already replaced the oil pan on 5/6/17. An oil pan should last longer than 1 year, and I should not have been charged again. I paid $531.08 on 5/1/18 for the same item that was replaced on 5/6/17. I went back after noticing oil was still leaking a couple months later. When I returned, I mentioned to Jacin that I was charged twice to replace an oil pan and my car was still leaking. He assured me he would "seal up" everything. He did not charge me for whatever he did. After leaving, my car still leaks. He also refused to refund me the monies for the duplicate work. I attempted to go a couple other times to speak to another manager; but, instead of assisting me, Jacin and the other manager whose name I cannot remember took me to the showroom to try to sell me a car because my car was "old." I was sincerely perplexed and felt belittled, swindled, and taken advantage of. I would not expect a car dealership to treat me so horribly. Now, I am having another repair company fix my oil leak. They are stating the same seals need to be replaced and have provided me with pictures of the horrible sealant job as well as oil pan repair. With the pandemic, I have not had to drive my car far distances so the oil was not leaking as much, but now I need to get it properly fixed. I have all my receipts. I am currently going to attempt to work one last time with a Steve to get a refund. So far, they have shown very poor customer service, poor repair skills, and refusal to stand by their warranty and refund me for the duplicate work.
Good afternoon I want to express a great thanks to the seller Kevin Zapata for his pleasant attention, very satisfactory for me all the information he gave me, he really could clarify many doubts, I thought that taking a vehicle was very difficult and because Kevin has given me the opportunity make it super easy .... I am already very happy in my car and best of all, the procedures were super fast ....
Made an appointment to see specific vehicle, drove over 300 miles to make appt on time, test drove, and was ready to negotiate - after waiting 20 minutes for the sales guy to go get another vehicle detailed - he returns with some "bad news" and magically the car I was ready to purchase gets sold out from under me. No first right of refusal or anything. It seems to me that customer left and didn't buy, I'm here ready to buy and no one even discussed it with me. That's horrible customer service. Then they rush me out of the dealership without showing any other vehicles. Later that evening they email back saying I missed my appointment and they'd still like to talk. Call the Manager and still no customer service. No, your lack of communication and customer service is appalling and I will not recommend you to anyone.
Best experiene thanks to my sales associate Josh Haegle. I have and will recommend him to any of my family and friends looking for a new or used car. Being a mother of a 2 year old I am on a budget, Josh listen to me and only showed me cars that fit my budget not what I qualified for. He was laid back and made me feel comfortable and I got to enjoy the car buying process. The dealership was beautiful and well maintained, and had a large selection of cars. I was glad that I had Josh to help me find the perfect car for me. If you are looking for a new car it worth a trip to meet Josh at Toyota of Tampa bay. You will be glad you did, you get helpful information without the pressure!
Antonina is service was the best! Very thorough, professional, and friendly. Shout out to the brothers Gilha, Brandon in sales & David in service. Great guys who helped me pass the time while I was waiting.
Edgar was very helpful and knowegable about what fit in my budget and what I liked in addition to a friendly staff that made me feel comfortable. I knew I had made the right choice when I decided to got to Toyota of Tampa bay. Thank you for all your help!
2nd car I have purchased from here. Both times were fantastic. Yamil was so easy to work with and beyond accommodating. Jordan was super as well. I can also say that when scheduling appointments for maintenance, everyone is helpful, friendly, and happy. I have dealt with Josh several times and he is always awesome. If I could rate my experience higher than exceptional, I would!! Thank you all so much for another fantastic experience.
Each time I have had my Tacoma serviced I was treated with courteous respect in a timely fashion. I was informed each step what was needed and what would be required next visit. The waiting room was clean and very comfortable. Every one was extremely nice and polite.
Ahmed Hassan, he is one of the best sales consultant Toyota of Tampa Bay have. He is very hard working and he gets his customers the best deals as possible!!! a very honest man and very smart individual. thanks for all your help, you are the best!!!! Zelena
Car salesmen are really good at ripping you off. They make everything sound great but bottom line is I'm stuck with a 430$ payment on a simple 2016 corolla LE not even an S! I had 700 credit score and also was a first time buyer. To me this was one of the worst experiences ever when buying a car. Not going to give any names because I understand the nature of the job. But I was still robbed pretty much.
When I walked into the dealership I was very hesitant about being there. I do not like dealerships and I feel like they are professional scammers!! BUT when me and my husband walked in to Toyota of Tampa Bay they proved to us that we can get a good and honest deal! I will say I gave Rob Mikki a hard time but he had all the patience in the world with me and got my family into a brand new 2017 toyota Corrola! I cant wait to see what we can do next year being part of toyota Loyalty program! Everyone there was amazing!! They sat down and explained everything clear as day! Thank You Rob! EVERYONE SHOULD COME HERE THEY WILL HELP YOU OUT!
I truly recommend salesman Xavier Pesantes. He was very profesional and helpful during the whole process. I bought my very first car and I appreciated the patience and service from Xavier while making my purchase. I am really happy with my new Corolla.
Toyota of Tampa Bay for the most part has done a good job on servicing my car.
Prices are somewhat on the higher end for servicing or buying parts for Toyota. However,if you clip coupons from the news papers or mailers then you maybe able to safe on the service.
-No loaner cars while leaving your car for service. -No longer $29.99 for synthetic oil change after 8pm. -Bad business practice of constantly calling me about extending my Toyota warranty, even after I refused their sales pitch so many times and blocking their phone number.
The whole team at ToTB was awesome! This deal was done in an efficient manner and they took good care of me while I was doing the deal. Very professional. Randall, Rocky, and Maurice were on top of their game and did a wonderful job addressing all my concerns/issues/questions.
Funny, how all the great reviews are for the Service Department. Which I would have to agree, they were fantastic. Although, they did tell me I would get a survey and I never did. I'm not really sure where to start. I had been shopping for cars and decided on the one that I was going to purchase when I got a phone call and was told to go to TOTB because they just saw a commercial for a brand new Toyota Corolla for $12,000.00. I said ok but there's going to be a catch. Well I got there and of course I was right. They ended up talking me into looking at some of their used cars and it was getting late and I decided I was not buying from them because no warranty and I already had a better deal. A year older 04 Camry but ut was cheaper and had 90 day warranty. They said they would work with me. Yep, I should of not been so stupid. Let me explain a little further as well. I just had two deaths in my family and had my 6 year old with me we had been shopping all day and both were completely exhausted and tired. By the time they kept trying to make deals with me I realized the time and figured the other dealership had closed. I explained to them several times this is all the money I had and that I needed to know I would not have to make major repairs and that the A/C, engine and transmisson were all good. They assured me that they were. Wow, this car has been nothing but a problem and no money to fix it. I assume the transmisson will be gone soon and then I will have no car to get to work and noone else is willing to pay my bills so I am completely screwed. I will NEVER own another Toyota!! Oh did I mention I gave them over $11,000.00 CASH for this piece of crap car!!!! Yep, i'm an idiot! Oh, and I sent an email through their website about the dissappointment, exspecially since I had a tire blowout not long after I bought it and all the lugnuts had locks and there was no key so I had to pay to have my car towed home. Guess what? Yep, they sent me an email offering me a credit card to come test drive one of their cars. Seriously!!!! True story. I could continue but don't have the time.
I must say that our Salesperson, Britini, did a terrific job of trying to help us- and if it weren t for her incredible professionalism, I would leave a zero star if that were possible. Britini had a Sales Manager , Kevin come out to try and help he began to offer specifics to help close the deal and even though we were skeptical, we decided to move forward with the deal. When I made it to the finance manager, Ali, I soon discovered that these specifics could not be met. The things that Kevin told us just were not correct and my wife and I wasted more than 4 hours being misled with slick sales techniques. To make matters worse, when Ali went and found a supervisor to try and save the deal (I unfortunately did not get his name) he was short and rude saying that he d done enough for us and wouldn t do anymore to help and that he hoped that this wouldn t ruin the deal . This experience totally fit what many assume about a negative car buying experience with high-pressure and unprofessional sales tactics. Being truthful and getting a no is far better than simply saying anything to get a yes - integrity should matter, especially now. If the owner wants to respond to this review, I d suggest reconsidering your training for these associates to ensure that they don t simply make things up to get a deal. We will purchase our vehicle elsewhere.
Im a Toyota owner, and a former owner operator of a Totota/Mazda repair shop in New York. I own TWO Prius, I made this decision as a ASC Certified Tech for fifteen years. I had an issue with My 2008 Prius. The dash lit up with three BRAKE related codes. I checked on Prius Chat where we learn what others have experienced. That path let me to return to my Dealer of choice TOYOTA of Tampa Bay on Fletcher! A Prius Specialist in the area we know of sent me to find Elga Matos in service. My Prius has 124,000 Miles well out of warrenty. But Elga took excellent care of me. My issue was under an extended program , so a very expensive issue was 100% No CHARGE. I paid for one day of a discounted Hertz car , and the repair lasted till 7:30 so Elga covered a second day on the house!!! This is care and courtesy beyond any concept of normal respect from a dealership in today's world! If you want a true WE CARE experience. Visit the dealer with a deli, a Movie theater, an excellent body shop (A friends car was returned to original condition from a T Bone that looked FATAL. Its better than NEW). Top this of with reasonable service specials, and there is only ONE place to go. Toyota of Tampa Bay / Fletcher Ave Tampa Florida
Had the worst experience working with J. Haegele. I told him I was debating between a Toyota and a Honda. He refused to show me any cars at Toyota of Tampa Bay until I decide to buy one first ! Makes no sense! Because of him I am a happy owner of my Honda. Thanks for nothing!
Norman Vassell was very helpful and professional in working with me after my car was brought in for service, following being flooded in a huge rainstorm. He patiently explained all of what needed to be done, worked closely with the insurance company, and went to bat for me with the insurance company. He was very easy to work with, honest, and reliable. I highly recommend this business and Norman Vassell in particular when your Toyota needs repair.
Steve Canalejo and Norman in the Service Dept are true Customer Service oriented gentlemen, they are efficient, knowledgeable and Toyota of Tampa Bay should count their blessings that they have such a breed working for them....you don't find that kind of Customer Service anymore. I will recommend them to everyone I know.
Blake and Steve took awesome care of me, I ll be sure to go to them for all of my future needs rather than Stadium Toyota, where I had been going for over a year. I had a screw in my tire and called Stadium to try to take it in same day, and they wouldn t take me. Called Toyota of Tampa Bay and they said to come right in and it was a very smooth, fast, and easy process :)
Excellent service! I have been using Toyota Tampa Bay for years and the service get better every time. They include good discount coupons and now an early service at 6:00 am that is excellent for my work hours.
Buyers beware! My cousin was scammed at this place. She and her husband bought a car here and they recently realized that the manager changed the price and conditions without telling them. The dealer has done nothing to solve the situation. Buyers be very careful! My cousin was cheated in this place. She and her husband bought a car here and recently realized that the manager changed the price and terms they had negotiated without notifying them. The dealer has done nothing to correct the situation.
Update - I recently visited the service department and was helped my Antonina. She was friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome. I wanted to share the great experience I had with the dealership's service department thanks to Antonina.
I recently purchased a vehicle from Christian Colon at Toyota of Tampa Bay. He was really great throughout the entire process. I scheduled an appointment with him at 10am but he stuck with me for almost the entire day while I tried out a bunch of cars on the lot, did test drives, ran numbers, and while I called probably half my family to talk about which cars I liked. He never rushed me or made me feel like he didn't care. He completely understood that it was a big purchase and one that I had to think about and feel comfortable with before going ahead with it. He was friendly and relatable the whole time and I could not speak higher of him. If you need help choosing your next car, I would definitely recommend this dealership. I am waiting for my first service call to get a new key cut and to get a butler spray done, and I can only hope that their service team is just as professional and caring!
I highly recommended Damian Gonzalez and Dino Ricci at Toyota of Tampa Bay! They make the often stressful prospect of purchasing a vehicle as simple and relaxed as possible. They help me make the decision of which vehicle suited my needs the best with their professionalism and patience allowing me to explore several options. When I made the final decision on the model they went out of their way to locate the exact color scheme I was looking for, this model and color was hard to find especially during our COViD crisis but they delivered!! I appreciate all the knowledge and experience they bring and the 'no hassle, no pressure' experience! I will definitely recommend my family and friends to Damian and Dino at Toyota of Tampa Bay!! Thank you guys!
We came in after talking with John Weicherding on the phone looking for a Rav 4. We told him what we wanted to spend and there was no high pressure uosale tactics or bait and switch gimmicks. He was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.
I am continually thankful for how I am received at Tampa Bay Toyota. Steve Canalejo has walked me through being a responsible owner and all service experiences for about 12-15 years. He refers me to Jake Rollison and Micky in sales as needed. The bottom line is that I truly TRUST Steve and staff he sends me to. I really get NO nightmare service surprises because Steve and others keep me 100 per cent up on what the next right things are to do about my vehicle. There's one more factor that I'd to try to describe...Because of this history there's mutual loyalty you can only find when you 're in it for the long haul... just as much in a business/ associate/ friend relationship as in any other. I think people with brains and hearts learn this in life.
Thanks for being my auto folks. I'm hoping to buy a Corolla from you right before I retire in a couple years John Meros
I took my car in for service. Mersadis Tuttle helped me. Work was done perfectly and she answered all my questions and made sure to call and text during the service. It was a great experience!
Jarod Thorman is an outstanding service manager, and Toyota of Tampa Bay provides comprehensive excellent turnkey service. I will definitely be returning.
I had a very good experience at Toyota of Tampa Bay today. David my cashier was able to call and get my credit card number so that I can make my payments as had forgotten to bring my credit card with me. Also Delbert was extremely helpful and getting my service completed.
I purchased my vehicle about 2 months ago from here. I had purchased a Toyota Corolla 2017. Mickie was our salesman who was such a delight. He took great car of us although the process was pretty lengthy with paperwork and all it was worth it.
I called on a Thursday evening to see if they still had a BMW on their lot that I was very interested in I had the pleasure of John Weicherding answer the phone so professional courteous and worked hard to get my business Within two hours he found my car dealt with financing to get me the best price ever and closed the deal. The following day he drove my new car from Tampa to Lakeland to deliver it to me as I wasn't able to get there for a few days John thank you for everything and for my new baby
I am very disappointed in the covid response of this dealership. Very few employees are wearing masks, they walk right up to your car door when i pulled up for service with no social distancing used at all. the waiting room has chairs spaced 6' apart, no hand sanitizer in sight. Lots of people mulling around with no face masks waiting for their cars. Is this a business decision by toyota? They are not being made to implement strict precautions so they aren't. If it were another business i might boycott them but I love their cars. Maybe thats what they are counting on. Ill be checking out other dealers though for my next service
I purchased a 'like new' 2015 Highlander (14,000 miles) here approximately six months ago. I felt the deal was great, and likewise for their service department which I have utilized twice.
This was my second experience with Alan Brodsky. Everything was as easy as the first time through. No muss no fuss. Love the treatment and loved the vehicles that my wife and I bought. Thanks Alan.
