I was not expecting to be getting a 2016 Toyota Corolla! I was in an accident on Tuesday and my car was totaled thank God I'm still alive and OK and that the 2013 Toyota Corolla I was in saved my life. I had to put myself in another Toyota Corolla and thankfully I met some of the nicest people to help me get me into a brand-new 2016! I didn't even have high standards of getting into a new car but Alma helped me out, was so nice, took care of me and my husband, fed us and made us both feel so comfortable. I wish I can give her a 10 star rating for how great her customer service was!!!!!! This is my first time buying a car at a dealer and I'm completely impressed!! Thank you to everybody at Toyota Tampa Bay I'm so happy I'm in tears you guys literally are the best!!!!!

The experience with the service department was good, as usual. However, I don't like the tactic of sales personnel hustling me to buy a new car while I'm sitting in my perfectly good car waiting for the service personnel to check my car in. It's happened twice now and I find it very annoying. I know where the sales floor is located.

I get my Toyota Camry serviced at this location. Very friendly service and nice that they had large areas to wait in while your car is worked on. It is a busy location and they get lots of customers, so sometimes the wait is long. However, the wait is better if you set up an appointment ahead of time.

I was helped by Mark Caivano and Ammar ALaghawani in November 2015. I drove a brand new car off their lot today with a big smile on my face! Mark was super friendly and energetic from the start - he gave us a tour of this huge location and helped us pick out the exact car that we wanted. I originally came in for the 2016 Camry LE, but Mark and his manager helped me upgrade to the SE for a great price. Ammar was very informative in helping us choose our options, and together we picked some plans that fit our budget while giving us peace of mind! Looking forward to coming around for my first maintenance check up and free car wash! Thanks guys!

Maria took my phone call and was very pleasant and transferred the call to Delbert My Service advisor who was accommodating. He answered and explained in detail, all the work that needed to be done on my vehicle. Also, Sean knew what to do with my vehicle when it arrived at the dealership when the tow company dropped it off. Overall my experience at Toyota of Tampa Bay was excellent and I will be bring my car for regular maintenance.

For the first in my life buying a new car from a dealership it was a great experience. Toyota of Tampa Bay has treated me too well and they won my heart for a very long time. The salesman Mohammad Rahman is one of the best persons there. He was too kind and so helpful. Thank you Toyota of Tampa Bay for taking good care of me!

I changed this review after financer David talked to me and explained what happened. I had a misunderstanding with my other finance person, not realizing he added a year of payments and doubled my interest rate in order to keep my payments where I need them. I am getting my financing straightened out by removing some unneeded "extras." David is extremely skilled at explaining things; I do like the car and believe now that it can be worked out. He said they actually lost $75 on my deal due to the $1,500 servicing they have to do on every used car. I certainly would have liked to forego that, but otherwise am now happy.

no longer a bit happy--that chipped windshield they supposedly fixed is now cracking and I had to leave a message with the Service writer, Elga. By the way, they actually made a good profit on this car. You cannot trust them!!!

My story is pretty long but I'll (try to) spare you most of the details... I am a working single father of two, my car was on death's door, my options were limited due to my credit history, and my budget is pretty modest. After WEEKS of going to shady buy-here pay-here dealerships and being offered extremely high payments for older higher mileage cars I was become more and more disappointed, not to mention all of the damage they were causing to my credit from inquiries... Yesterday (4/27/2017), out of curiosity I stopped by my local Toyota dealership after work. There I met Sammy, who I believe is in the wrong field because he should be a therapist, he made all of my fear and anxiety go away after weeks of stress and worry... I hate the entire process of buying cars, but Sammy made the everything straight forward, no haggling necessary, and anytime we ran into a snag he calmly navigated us around it. The whole experience even with the gentleman in finance (Robert?) was so easy and pleasant, it was so unbelievable I had tears in my eyes. I am more than satisfied with the car that I was sold and will go out of my way to recommend the dealership to my friends and family or whoever is looking to buy a car. I am so upset that I wasted so much time, money and energy going around and even out of town when I this place was right in my own backyard... Also my kids LOVE the car and have already started mashing food into the seats... Thank you so much guys, especially to Sammy.

SHOUT OUT to YOUSEF, CONNOR, AND MARTIN. Yousef is an amazing person, not just sales, but as a person. He isn't you typical sales guy. Which made it so much easier. He will go out of his way to make sure you get in the car of your dreams... My case my new love of my life 2020 CAMRY SE XP. I told him my story and what I was trying to do. We laughed, I cried, he got me my car. Connor was my finance manager, he is the most charismatic guy I've met, extremely professional, and knows his stuff, even made the horrible experience of signing your first child away(jk), a good time. Martin should be the GM of The year. I watched this man for the time I was there, never missing a beat, and always had a smile on his face. He understands people, and that is the exact type of person you need in this industry. He was more than helpful and solidified the deal with his eagerness to succeed. I will be sure to recommend anyone wanting a new car to come here. My experience was a pure delight. THANKS SO MUCH.

Elga, the Service Rep was very good. She explained things thoroughly and efficiently. Steve, the loaner/rental Rep was good, also. The work was done promptly and the car was washed.
The one negative comment I would make is the lack of privacy and lack of professionalism regarding customers discussing confidential financial info at the rental desk. I could hear the man ahead of me answering questions regarding his income , social security, etc for the financing or rental agreement. I would have refused to answer those questions in that environment even if it meant going elsewhere for the transaction.

Alan Brodsky worked with me all day long and into the next day to find the perfect car without losing his patience, despite me putting him through the ringer. He also gave me an amazing deal, was super friendly, and was incredibly knowledgeable about the products he is selling. I left feeling completely happy with my purchase and educated on the car itself. I would recommend Alan to anyone looking to buy a car, mostly because he isn't pushy, gives incredible deals, and seems to really care and want to build relationships with his clients. I look forward to working with him again.

As usual my experience getting maintenance completed on my 2016 Tacoma was great...friendly and professinoal staff. I would like to mention my service manager Brandon who as usual was superb. I would offer two areas of improvement. First when they completed my autobutler treatment and cleaning...when they treated the wheels (which look great) there was overspray which got on the running boards and doors which I have to clean and buff out...kind of defeats having it cleaned to clean it again. I would also add that if you going to detail the vehicle for a service like autobutler which we paid extra for then detail the interior too.

Thank you Toyota Tampa Bay salesman Dino Birjas! As the first person I met when beginning my car search, I certainly lucked out. I had hopes a suitable car would be found but am very pleased&relieved it happened my first day of car shopping. The time you spent discussing what the options might be and helping me make a sound decision to meet specific needs was above and beyond. It was very helpful that you heard and respected my budget constraints! The best part is feeling confident I purchased a reliable car that will serve for some time to come. Thank you, Karen Putney

Bait & Switch practices. Car Gurus posted the price yet Toyota of Tampa Bay posted a much higher price on their site. Salesman kept referring to their website price. I kept referring to the MUCH lower Guru price. I was willing to raise my offer. They refused to deal and would not budge. I left and purchased the same auto, same year, slightly LOWER mileage at a very good price.. I guess they didn't want to sell. Their loss. UPDATE TO REPLY: Your dealership is right around the corner from a major University with tens of thousands of naive college kids. That's the only reason you are still in business.

My Salesman was Rob Makki, and I recommend going to him if you want to buy a good car for a great deal. I really wanted to get a Prius, and he showed me just that! I now have the perfect car with the pricing that I love! and for the Financing, Make sure you go to Amar, the manager; because he really helped stay within means that I could afford! Thank you Toyota of Tampa Bay, you made a first time car buyer, a customer for life! :D

I bought a 2018 camry a month ago. They kept my license and I have not recieved my car tag yet. This rates the worst car buying experience ever. The temporary tag on the car expired 10/22/18. I would have selected a negative star but that wasn't a choice.

Way over priced and they quote one thing on the phone and then charge another once the car is in the shop.

Update! Manager Jason called and offered his apologies for misquote and gave us a partial refund. The check has not arrived yet but I believe in his word. That's how you keep customers !

Would now like to add that Jason has not sent the check and I had to call to find that out. Said it takes time but it didn't take alot of time for Toyota of Tampa Bay to get my money. We bought our Camry brand new from them in 2009 and have done all our pricey service work with them because we trusted them.Times are changing everywhere!

Worst maintenance service experience - Never Again...

Worst maintenance service experience - Never Again!!!! I had serviced my 2018 Toyota Camry on July 3rd & I still can't believe that they sent me home without filling air in the rear right tire after tire rotation. Such an irresponsible service. I noticed low pressure indicator on the way back home from the service center, normally the indicator stays a bit immediately after the service, so didn't pay much attention. The next day I noticed the flat tire and I thought it is nail puncture. Got an emergency service, replaced with backup tire, took to the local tire repair. They could not find any puncture, they just filled the air & its all good. Spoiled my long weekend, thanks toToyota Tampa Bay.

I always go to Toyota of Tampa Bay. Service manager Steve Canelejo is always a pleasure to deal with he makes sure to go the extra mile for his customers. He has handled all of my service needs for my 2016 Camry as well as my new car that I recently purchased. Yesterday I went in without an appointment and he got me in and out. My girlfriend wanted to buy a new car so she stopp...

My girlfriend wanted to buy a new car so she stopped by Toyota of Tampa Bay to check out a particular Corolla Hatchback they had in stock. She had a terrible experience and ended up leaving so frustrated that she asked me to take over for all of the car shopping/negotiating, moving forward. After she told me what happened, I decided that weren t going to be buying a car from these dudes. I don t even think we ll ever even get her oil changed here.

First, I d like to first note that after all of this happened, I tried to reach out to the dealership s General Manager. After about 3 weeks of waiting, we still haven t heard back from anybody. They had their chance. Review time here s why these guys suck:

1. When she got to the dealership, she told the sales consultant that was helping her (his name was Charlie Ubas) that she had somewhere to be at 6:00pm and wouldn't be able to stay for very long. She told him that she was only there for a test drive and to see if they would be able to beat another quote from a nearby dealership. After some time, she started expressing that she had to leave, but Charlie kept telling her, "two more minutes." She ended up leaving 35 minutes later than she had planned to because, in her words, it was always "just two more minutes."

2. Charlie had asked her if it was okay that he checked her credit with a soft-pull. She specifically asked if him doing that would result in a hard-pull; he expressed that it would not.

It did.

When she got to her car, she saw that she received an email from her credit monitoring service that a hard pull had been ran, which is not okay--specifically because she requested them not to do that and had been told that only a soft-pull would be ran. From their Google reviews, I noticed that this is a common practice here. This really isn't okay--especially when it's not understood and agreed upon ahead of time.

3. At some point during her visit, she needed a pen to write something down or take some notes so she asked another employee there if they had a pen that she could borrow. The employee that she asked replied, "I'm kind of in the middle of something," and just turned around and walked away. She noted that his tone was rude and stand-off-ish.

I don't need to describe how unacceptable this is. If it helps, she described the employee as being a heavyset, older (possibly 60's, maybe early 70's) white male in a white button-down shirt. Watch out for him, he s not polite. And he definitely won t give you a pen if you need it.

4. Charlie had tried to get her to sign a Sales Agreement document without telling her what it was. This had occurred while they were still discussing the overall deal; nobody had told her that what the document was. At best, this was sketchy as a motherf.

There are a couple more things that came up (e.g. changing the terms of the service agreement after they had already been negotiated), but I think that I ve touched on the most important aspects of her experience that I think everybody reading should know about.

Again, Before leaving reviews all over the place bad-mouthing these guys, I tried to give them an opportunity to make it right and address these issues. The fact that I ve been ignored suggests that these issues could be their work-culture stemming from the top-down.

Good luck you guys. But take my advice and start looking at another dealership first.

It is really sad that you can t trust your local dealer with your car. On Fri November 16, 2018, my husband had our friend Newton drop off the van to Toyota of Tampa for an oil change and to have the headlight restoration redone. Service advisor Talon met Newton that morning asked if he was the owner. Newton told Talon no. Talon then mentioned what was recommended for the car and had Newton sign a form so they could take the car and do the oil change. No price was discussed for anything else nor did Newton agree to any extra service as it is not his car. A few hours later that day my husband Joe called and spoke to Talon. Joe was making sure the headlights were going to be addressed. Joe had paid for the headlights to be restored a couple months prior. When he got the car back a few months ago he noticed the headlights still looked old and was told the solution hadn t dried up all the way and it had a lifetime warranty if any issues later on. The service rep Talon was not sure if that was covered. It seems that he is new and not sure of what is covered. He then began to tell Joe about other services they recommended for the car. Joe specifically told him not to do anything extra to the car. He told them to do only the oil change and the light restoration. Talon then mentioned the windshield wipers needed changing. Joe said ok since he kept trying to push for services and we needed the van for our scheduled family vacation because my oldest daughter uses a wheelchair.
The very next day my step son Tony went to pick up the car and he was given a bill for about $600. He was surprised and did not have that much with him so he called his dad. Joe spoke to the service director Jason Hogeland and was told that they have a sign contact that authorized them to do the service. Joe said that was odd because he didn't sign any estimate or contract. Jason then told Joe that they have a signature from his friend and that Joe should be mad with his friend not them. Joe asked Jason to go back and review the conversation with Talon from Nov. 16 and he will hear that Joe never agreed to any extra service over the phone. The call was ended. Jason called back later to tell Joe that he heard the conversation between Joe and Talon but told Joe the conversation happened after the services were already made to the car. Joe told Jason that it was impossible because if the services were already made to the car, why was Talon trying to sell the services and told Joe what they recommend be done to the car during that call. Since when do they work on your car before telling you what they found that needs to be done and how much? Jason is trying to cover whatever scam they they have going on. The conversation wasn t going anywhere so Joe asked to speak to the manager. He was told by Jason that the manager is on vacation. Jason later call back offering to charge us 50% off the unauthorized services. Joe refused because he did not authorize any extra service and hadn t budgeted for that. We call the corporate line and was told Jason would have to speak to us. Jason is unprofessional and continues with the same attitude said doesn t matter who we speak to we need to pay for the services. I also plan on filing a lawsuit for Toyota as their customer service had gone down the toilet the past couple years!

This place is a scam and a disgrace to the term. Humanity. They will rob you blind and lie to your face. The fat Bald dude was rude and opinionated. He tried to steal a sale and destroy my pride in the car I worked very hard for by telling me it is not worth anything.

While shopping around for a new Toyota 4Runner I decided to inquire with this dealership regarding the exact model I was looking for. Out of the 7 local dealerships in addition to the 8 others I inquired with outside the Tampa Bay Area, this was the only place in which I had a negative experience. I found them to be so unprofessional and condescending that I felt compelled to write a review expressing my frustration in hopes of saving people s time. I dealt with the Internet Director Aimee. As mentioned she was very rude and condescending from the beginning. I would have expected more with such a title to her name. When discussing the exact model I was looking to purchase I was presented with an absurd price and was told I was looking for a unicorn that I likely wasn t going to find. None of the other dealerships seems to have any issues with getting this exact model and for a cheaper price. In the end I purchased exactly what I was looking for for $8,000 cheaper than what Aimee offered! Don t waste your time or patience on this place.

I bought my Toyota RAV4 from Toyota of Tampa Bay and have taken it there for service ever since. The staff are professional and curious. Service is done in timely manner. Whether I wait or I need a ride, either way the experience has been comfortable. They do a good job to run that shop.

The most excellent customer experience I've enjoyed in an auto service facility.

The staff at Toyota of Tampa Bay is always pleasant, cooperative an well informed. Their purpose is to make your visit pleasant.

You can either drive through or set up an appointment and either way the wait is minimal compare to other places.

After every service, they follow up with a phone call and an email inquiring to get a feedback of your experience. Their ultimate purpose is to make sure the service you received is to your satisfaction. This is rare with other dealers or auto service store.

I've bought all my cars at Toyota of Tampa Bay driven by their excellent service I have received. Bob Novak is an excellent sales person.

I am having a very hard time with this dealership....

I am having a very hard time with this dealership. I financed a Toyota Corolla a year ago which I planned to sell to the Toyota of Tampa Bay since I was moving out of the country. Firstly, I was given a good offer and was told that the equity check would be given to me on the spot, since I was selling the car just 2 days before leaving the country (mind you, I confirmed this multiple times). I decided to make an appointment to sell the car with a specific salesperson but they messed up and my salesperson was not even working on the day I was selling. After that, he allocated my paperwork to someone who did not know ANYTHING about selling cars. I was very skeptical but had not option since I had no time left. I was then told that the check would arrive in 3-4 weeks. I was also told that I would not be liable for any more monthly payments after that specific date but I am still getting emails from the financial institution. After all this, my friend decided to go to the dealership personally since she was told that my check was ready and she had to come pick it up. Not only the person she spoke to was not there, they did not even have a check. She had to speak to 3 different people just to get the status on the check. I am very disappointed at this dealership for having inexperienced salesmen and having very poor customer service. Would not recommend selling financed cars here.

Mark Caviano, Jr VIP Sales & Service made my trade in/buying experience the Best Ever. Mark is Genuine, Kind, Great sense of Humor, and Knowledgeable. He was Not pushy and listened. Mark went above and beyond to help me with the topper on my truck. If Mark didn't know the answer to a question (which wasn't often) he brought in Mike Baglione, Asst Service Manager. Mike is a true asset to Toyota of Tampa. Connor Neglio, Finance Manager was thorough and at the same time made that part of the purchase process painless. Mark, Mike, and Connor are a great team. Thanks!

The service department at Toyota of Tampa Bay is my first choice for maintenance and repair of my 2009 Corolla.

The service staff members are courteous and know their jobs. They explain what needs to be done and provide options when possible. The work is performed quickly and correctly. I never feel like I'm getting ripped off.

I wouldn t recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. My experience started with my Tundra breaking down in the middle of the road. I proceeded to have my truck towed to Toyota of Tampa Bay for repairs (since they were the most convenient Toyota dealership for me). After a couple days of waiting for a diagnosis on my truck, I was told that my water pump failed causing my engine to overheat and they feared my motor had been damaged. After a compression test ($400) that they said I needed, I was told that my motor was okay and my water tank had given out, causing some cylinders to become charred and damaged as well as the spark plugs. After being quoted for an upwards of $5k for repairs, I decided to get a second opinion from a family mechanic who works at Elder Ford. After going through the hassle of having my truck towed again from dealership to dealership this time, after just a couple hours our trusty mechanic informed us that we were mislead to the damages that occurred to the truck. The only problem was the water tank, which needed to be replaced, and the spark plugs which were damaged by the leaking coolant fluid. No damages at all we re done to the cylinders like Toyota of Tampa Bay had insisted. Overall, going to my trusty mechanic instead of Toyota of Tampa Bay saved me nearly $4k. Yes four thousand dollars.... as the final price I paid for my truck to be repaired was barely under a thousand dollars. It makes me sick that a dealership would try to take advantage of someone in such a way, but I guess that s all you can expect from such a poor establishment. I ve had amazing experiences with Clearwater Toyota and Sun Toyota and will never visit Toyota of Tampa Bay ever again (even if I m stranded in the middle of the road). I suggest everyone to do the same.

I used to drive past other Toyota dealers to go to Toyota of Tampabay. I will no longer do that. Customer service is horrible with the service department. Last service visit I'm not even sure if my oil change was actually done. They didn't reset the light and no sticker. The bigger issue I have is that fact that on my new Tundra that was still under warranty they told me that they could get an interior part replacement that was rusted (yes I said rusted) and never got back to me and they don't return phone calls. Now the truck is out of bumper to bumper warranty and they refuse to make it right. (My truck is not a work truck so absolutely no reason for rust on seat brackets) Do yourself a favor and aviod this dealer and all other Morgan Auto Group dealers.
