I wouldn t recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. My experience started with my Tundra breaking down in the middle of the road. I proceeded to have my truck towed to Toyota of Tampa Bay for repairs (since they were the most convenient Toyota dealership for me). After a couple days of waiting for a diagnosis on my truck, I was told that my water pump failed causing my engine to overheat and they feared my motor had been damaged. After a compression test ($400) that they said I needed, I was told that my motor was okay and my water tank had given out, causing some cylinders to become charred and damaged as well as the spark plugs. After being quoted for an upwards of $5k for repairs, I decided to get a second opinion from a family mechanic who works at Elder Ford. After going through the hassle of having my truck towed again from dealership to dealership this time, after just a couple hours our trusty mechanic informed us that we were mislead to the damages that occurred to the truck. The only problem was the water tank, which needed to be replaced, and the spark plugs which were damaged by the leaking coolant fluid. No damages at all we re done to the cylinders like Toyota of Tampa Bay had insisted. Overall, going to my trusty mechanic instead of Toyota of Tampa Bay saved me nearly $4k. Yes four thousand dollars.... as the final price I paid for my truck to be repaired was barely under a thousand dollars. It makes me sick that a dealership would try to take advantage of someone in such a way, but I guess that s all you can expect from such a poor establishment. I ve had amazing experiences with Clearwater Toyota and Sun Toyota and will never visit Toyota of Tampa Bay ever again (even if I m stranded in the middle of the road). I suggest everyone to do the same.
