Busy but pleasant market place. Great food and other local specialties.
Nice to see and do.
Busy but pleasant market place. Great food and other local specialties.
Nice to see and do.
Great food. Plenty of options for tourists and locals. They should add more A/C bc I went there when it was 103 degrees Fahrenheit and it was packed, the hot food was great but it was to hot out. If it's a hot day don't go. But great food overall.
Food and atmosphere were amazing , and amazing array of choice and a superb market next door. Be sure to try the custard tarts the are amazing !
Amazing variety of food. A must visit for anyone visiting Lisbon.
Unfortunately a victim of its success - overpriced and overcrowded, with ridiculously long waits andstrong competition even for a single seat. The food is good, but there is no shortage of that in Lisbon, so I won't come back.
Very good market you can find the best burgers in town.
Great collection of food stalls and retail as well. Gets crazy crowded at dinner time.
Nice place, lots of options to drink and eat. It can be a little to expensive, look around a little bit
Great place for the active! Fantastic good at a good price. We had food from the Asian lab and it was lovely! Quick service and reasonably priced. We went there after seeing it on 'somebody feed phil' and it was well worth the visit. Will definitely go again. However, it is hard to find places to sit at busy times so be warned.
If you love people watching, this is a nice place to eat.
Good place to eat out. Great variety and a lot of space. The main problem with it is that you can't drink a bottle you bought from their wine shops inside the establishment to force you to purchase glasses or bottles of wine from the restaurants at a much higher price. I get that they ought to have clients spend more money but they should have thought about it before, instead of suddenly cutting consumers of that service.
A public place, probably one of the most important place when you visit Lisboa.
What a dump. Too big, too noisy, too touristy. Lissabon has so many better places to eat, drink and enjoy
Great if you like meat, not much other kind of food
Definitely a must see. There's a ton of variety with high quality and tasty food.
Nice but expensive for Lisbon (pretty "hipster" place).
Beautiful, good food, no to expensive if you consider the rent for the restaurants must be high end
An amazing place, not to be missed on a trip to Lisbon. Full of life and noise and hustle and bustle and food from all corners of the globe. Busy busy busy....fantastic atmosphere. Not cheap but worth it.
Cool place to see, feel a good smell ... But expensive a lot!)
Very nice athmospehere, Food also good - when you are in Lissabon you need to visit!!
Amazing place nice food every where but busy most important we enjoyed so much.
Modern, clean and various choices. It's very tourist and slightly pricey but still a good experience.
Good place. So much things to taste but very good and tasty plates. Lot of people inside but you can eat back side.
Good to go once or twice during a trip
Good variety of food but very difficult to get seat. Sit at the bar and bring food from other stands
Great variety of food and drinks, meat, fish, vegetarian options, fresh and delicious.
Lisbon s Time Out market offers an impressive range of phenomenal food: some of the best restaurants in town all under one roof. There is a wide variety on offer from delicious deli meats and cheeses, to traditional Portuguese (lots of steak and cod fish dishes), to stir fry dishes, to designer chocolate. Every restaurant has tasty range of wines and drinks and sever bars with good cocktail selections. This place is, however, super popular so lines can be long - can wait 20-30 mins or longer to order during peak times at the most popular spots, then you have to wait until your buzzer goes off. Plus you will have to fight to get a seat, which can be a stressful experience if you are doing it with two screaming toddlers like we did. But, overall, this downsides were minor to the overall experience for us which was fantastic. Definitely one of our highlights on our visit to Lisbon!
One of the best places to go for great food and excellent atmosphere in Lisbon. Loads of food and drink choices.
Very good selection of food. Taking into consideration the location (Hipp but simple) slightly overpriced.
Great in-door food plaza with many amazing local dishes. Very busy in summer though!
Hard to decide on what to eat here.
Fresh vegetables, fruit, fish, flowers. It's a great place that you must visit when you visit Libsoa.
Nice and quite international and portuguese atmosphere at the same time! Great food and space for big groups (if you arrive early)
Very interesting place, casual with very good lots food
Awesome place to get a wide variety of food . If you are headed that way during the holidays or the weekend, do make sure that you get in early as you have difficulty in getting seats together if you have come in a large group. It s open seating . Grab your seats first then go around looking for what you would like to taste . There are some unique things to taste. From curated burgers to soup in a bun. All mouth watering. Definitely a fun experience
As a massive fan of the burgeoning street food scene in Cambridge I was really excited to visit the Time Out Market. It's effectively a big warehouse across the road from the main train terminal and if it's busy the noise hits you as you enter. It was busy so we had to look around for some space that could accommodate the 7 of us. Then you have the massive issue of deciding what to have. There was so much to choose from it was inevitable we would have to go separately to order but that was fine. I had a great gourmet burger from a restaurant I can't remember the name of. You get a buzzer to take away once you've ordered and when it buzzes you go and fetch your food. All the food we had was top notch as you would expect from the wide array of culinary talent available. Beer and wine are available from a central hub and are good quality. All in all very impressed.
Must admit I am less than impressed by the Time Out Market. It all seems a tad rushed to me. The food was fine. Prefer a restaurant myself. Nonetheless, if you like these sorts of places, do not be dissuaded by my comments. Visit for yourself.
Amazing experience! Great food, so many good options
I wish we had a place like this locally. The idea is brilliant. 40ish restaurants with open seating. Great selection for everyone's tastes. We ended up going back a 2nd time.
Fun open market to get food and drinks. Great ambience.
Nice spot, but always too crowded. Difficult to get a table and definately not cheap.
Loved the market. Has a nice vibe and the food is superb. Good luck finding a place to sit though
nice place with lot of different restaurants and food kinds
The Timeout Market was one of the highlights of our trip to Lisbon. There's such a great range of local eats and cute souvenir shops. The huge indoor space is perfect for a rainy day.
The best place to visit as part of the gastronomy tour, or just to eat deliciously.
Food is good, seats can be more. Cleaning facilities definitely need to be faster.
Burgers at Grilled Burgers and Pastries were to die for.
Food Waiting system is unique and makes it easy to wait for your food!
Bustling with people. Nice experience, but not cheap
everything you can tgink of at one place: seafood, meat, pizza, pasta, sushi, drinks. reasonable prices.
Fantastic selection of places to get food and drink. The food is really good - tasty and great quality.
Very lively area full of food court stalls. Food quality is good and fresh.
Excellent selection of food. In a hall with loads of seating. When you arrive it may look packed. Walk around, decide what you want to eat, order, then find some seats while you wait for your food to be cooked.
The concept of the market is brilliant. But I personally thought it s offerings were nothing spectacular. I think the market is so commercialised and mainstream that it loses any hope of authenticity. It felt like a hub of high street food stalls
Great place for the food battle of my girlfriend and me. Rules here for us are:
1. Each person gets 25 min and 25 .
2. A 3 course meal is a must.
3. Rating is based overall as well as each course against each other.
4. Have fun!
Such a disappointment. This place is a tourist trap with long queues, angry visitors walking with trays looking for seats, and cold overpriced food that was presumably hot at one point. Genuinely the worst, and most expensive, food I ate in Lisbon...all while surrounded by people full of frustration and chaos. Avoid at 2pm and I'd suggest avoiding anytime that is close to popular meal times.
Excellent food market with a wide array of options open until late. Perfect if you re with company and you can t agree on dinner, as there s plenty of local and international options to pick from and loads of communal tables where you can eat your grub. More expensive than what you d pay in other traditional food markets but still cheaper than most restaurants in the area
What a neat idea! So much selection to cater to anyone's diet. We will definitely be back to try the other vendors during our visit.
Great selection of high-quality food, good value and nice atmosphere.
Amazing selection of food and drink. Highly recommend
Not a must, but a great option for having dinner with tons of options of food. Prices aren't the cheapest but food seems quite alright actually. It is very busy and may struggle finding where to sit. If you don't mind that then it's great. May be difficult for large groups.
Good place to try local specials and vines! It's not a restaurant - just market hall with place to sit but anyways good place to start your trip to Lisbon!
Amazing place, buzz great, food delicious.great prices. It's s must.
Lots of great options to choose from! The price can be a little steep in some stalls but the quality of food justifies it.
Be warned very touristy. Fairly decent selection of okayish food and drinks. Cool place to hangout for a bit and hit the next.
Great place with many food huts in there. The time out market is full of food places but as you can imagine mostly is sea food. You can find all kinda of cuisines in there. I personally went for some octopus salad and a sea food pastry. It was my first time eating octopus so as you can imagine I was abit nervous! But it was a good gamble, it tasted great and had similar texture to chicken. The sea food pastry was slightly more strong, even from its smell you could tell. I did manage to eat it but I can imagine some people disliking it for how strong it was. Apart from that the place also offers dried fruits & nuts etc which is a good little snack to take away!
Great selection. Good food. A bit more expensive but super atmosphere....
I fell in love with this place and came back many times.
You can choose different kind of foods, from burgers to woks to portuguese dishes. The prices are a bit higher than in the rest of Lisbon but the quality is worth it.
Similar to the Ponce Market in GA, USA
Similar to the Chelsea Market in NY, USA
Similar to Corporation Food Hall in CA, USA
Really nice modern market to grab a drink and get a bites with friends or family. Covid social distancing is also respected
This is a must visit in Lisbon. The food is delicious at very reasonable prices. I loved it and can't wait to go back. Just wow! They have vegetarian choices as well as beer, wine and plenty of dessert. Everything to please the whole family. There are also restrooms on site, including a changing table and an wheelchair-accessible washroom.
Went back but it was too busy and we could not find seats. There should be a way to assign seats at the tables as it almost becomes a wrestling match when the place is crowded. Also, I tripped on a piece of wood that had been placed on the floor (for no obvious reason) and almost hurt myself. So be careful!
Zero option for vegetarian for nonvegetarians there are a loot of options seem very tasty to them. Prices ate bit high. It is also (for me too)big rush there.
Food is priced higher here because of the convenience of so many food outlets. Atmosphere is lacking, it reminded me of a shopping centre food court and I feel people go because it is on a list of things to do.
It was my third time, enjoying food at the Time Out Market.
Every time I visit lisbon, I try to come here.
I really love the concept and the whole atmosphere. Now what I didn t like and want to emphesize.
Although there are many traditional foods, I think there could be many many more vegetarien options. I would really enjoy some new interpretations of classic dishes.
Time Out Market is a bit more expensive but nevertheless worth it.
We were there at about eight o clock. Finding a place to sit at this time was definitely a tiny war.
However, still love it!
It's really great place to try different food, nice discounts
Great selection of food, pricey vs local but a nice spot!
Touristy and generally over priced but a good selection of food. Often very difficult to find seating. Communal seating is fun.
It was a nice place, but we found the food a bit bland.
Nice market place with a lot of different mini shops to eat from.
Went here for a late night but and really enjoyed ourselves. A great variety of food for pretty reasonable prices and has a very festive atmosphere. Make sure to check it out if you're in Lisbon!
Great place to grab a bite to eat! There's a great variety of food stalls and vendors at great prices
Bamboozled by the choice of food, albeit hard to go wrong. Great selection, lively atmosphere, cool music playing in background. So good we came back the day after. Finding a seat is a bit of effort, but worth the patience.
A nice modern hall full of foodstands that offer local delicacies and foreign items from e.g. Asian cuisine. We had the cod fish and chorizo croquettes and the tuna with sun-dried croquettes. The latter was delicious!! We also discovered that you can do a 6 course cooking class here for only 35 euros.
Great place. Really cool and lots of great food. Asian Lab below
Mega touristy but the quality and breadth are very high. If your time in Lisbon is short, definitely worth it to come by and try as much as you can here instead of searching out a bunch of different restaurants around the city. Lisbon is fantastic and this place is very very good.
If you enjoy shopping mall and theme park food courts then perhaps Time Out Market is for you.
Expensive after all - but worth it
If you don't mind spending a certain amount, you will have a great time and you won't regret. Enjoy and jump into a lovely life t of yummy food and drinks.
Go hungry! and prepared to spend couple hours... Heaven for a foodie; we sampled a lot lot of local dishes. Stayed away from other interesting interpretations but not very local items (e.g. burgers). Incredible seafood, prosciutto stuffed dates, great wine and other drinks, and if you have a sweet tooth, leave room for the traditional custard cakes. One of the shops actually had mini versions and were just the right size to pop into our drooling bouches! Warning - there will be lines at some of these eateries, they are that good and popular, so time and pace things so your wait is enjoyable. Great people watching and communal seating; one minute you are talking to a party of Indians next you are cheering for a bachelors part that's raging in full costume. Its a party, its a food party, join it, enjoy it!!
