This was my favorite spot to eat in Lisbon. No matter what food you prefer there's something you're going to like here. There's about 30 or 40 different food stalls with open concept seating. The first night I got some sardines and other traditional Portuguese food.....the second night I got some sushi. You can't go wrong with seafood in Lisbon.

The food court is a great place to eat. It's more upscale than the typical food court you'd find at a market or mall, with lots of food stalls run by well known chefs. The portions are on the small side which is great for trying a few different dishes. Lots of seafood and wine options, wish there had been more nonalcoholic beverages. If you go for lunch be warned the food court doesn't really open until noon. You can also take cooking classes here.

It s a extremely touristy place you could find for a meal. It s like a shopping mall food court and every restaurant is standardized and similar. I didn t try any food as they are simply overpriced. Go to some restaurants in neighboring districts and you would find cheaper things with good quality

Designed to cater foodies as other Time Out markets in other countries. Wide selection of prepared food in a huge refurbished food market located in the heart of Lisbon. One side of the structure still sells fresh food, but it was closed when we visited. In my opinion the food quality is overpriced if compared to the food quality one can get in various Lisbon neighborhoods. Still, it is a convenient place to taste and enjoy Portuguese and international food in one big venue.

Such a fun place to eat in Lisbon. Walk around and explore the culinary art of Portugal. The four restaurants in the back of the market are all local chefs and offer fantastic dishes. The prices are also really reasonable. I recommend the black risotto with scallops.

this is a place where people congregate to lose their humanity. There simply aren't enough seats to accommodate the combined clientele of the restaurants, so on an average thursday it gets so unbelievably packed that people have to stand More

Pretty nice market in central Lisbon, the downside is most of the places have a bit pricier costs for food, comparably to the rest of the city, since it's overly touristy, and on busier days the wait can be pretty long. If you don't mind the wait or the prices, the place is a fantastic market for all varieties of food.

This old market that at this days looks brand new... was and somehow still beeing one of the meeting points in the city... afhter people pass the night in the bars and discos... almost everybody goes to have one.. "Cacau at Ribeira"... so if you have the opportunity do not loose it.
But please take care... at night lisbon is just like many other European citys... safe but... open your eyes.

Very good food (from what we tried) but impossible to find a place to sit (Tuesday @ 11h am and came back @ 2h pm, still full) had to eat outside. However, large choice of restaurants.

The place deserves its popularity, you can find many different types of food, local or not, fancy or not. I recommend the pasteis corner.

However, there are two constants there :
- the price, which is pretty higher than average in Lisbon.
- the crowd on weekends. I have been there three times with 2 or 3 persons and managed to find a seat only once.

What a great concept, with various food stalls that cater for everyone however, you need to get there at the right time to find space to sit as it can get really packed. Deffinitly worth trying.

It should be on your list to visit! Fun atmosphere, endless food options in amazing stalls out on by the cities best chefs and restaurants. The pasties de nata shop rings a bell whenever there are fresh ones!

If you like a noisy overcrowded food court with overprced food, where you need to fight for a seated place with (other) self-entitled tourists, then this is the place for you. If you prefer to sit and relax while enjoying your meal and perhaps a view of the river, there are lots of different options and price points in the surrounding streets.

If you are around you have to visit the food area of this place. There are so many good quality restaurants, which offer a vast variety of Portuguese cuisine. The prices are fair but not cheap.

It's too commercial, too crowded, very touristic and pretty expensive. There's also virtually nothing for vegans and vegetarians. Why you would eat here, rather than the hundreds of excellent local bars and restaurants in Lisbon, is a mystery to me.

I was actually looking forward to visiting, having read a lot of good reviews, but was deeply disappointed. Do yourself a favour, go eat sardines in Sol e Pesca round the corner, or try AO26 if you're not a meat eater - both excellent!

This place is so cool.

This place is so cool.

It's a large open market with lots of seating in the centre and loads of small street food type vendors all the way round selling any type of food you could want.

The quality of the food is very high and the sheer choice on off will no doubt have you doing a few circuits while you wrestle with your shortlist.

This is an excellent place for lunch or light dinner. I don't like large food markets, but this has some brilliant small independent restaurants set up all around where you can find every type of fish you want. Fantastic!

One of the best places to begin your lisbon culinary adventure if you are from out of town.

Layout is a central core of communal tables for customers. These are flanked by food stalls on the perimeter, with juice/beer/bars in the middle. Outside of the central core there are additional bar style seatings for each store that has them as well as some outside restaurants.

These food stalls go through an application process and the end result send to be a very good selection of innovative fusion Portuguese cuisine. They even have a location for port wine tasting in the middle Island as mentioned.

They all open between 10 am - 11 am so you will still need to visit the nearby cafes for breakfast or early brunch.

Definitely worth coming back more than once!

Great innovative idea if a little hectic. Choose a style of food from one of the many outlets featured here, pay and wait for your pager to tell you your meal is ready for collection. Can get extremely busy. Shops also feature, one sells well designed gifts. There is also a bakery selling the famous pateis tarts which are just as delicious as those at the original Belem bakery. They're cheaper here too.

As a tourist it's a place not to miss. There's plenty of food and drink to choose from, and a nice atmosphere too. I think it's better to visit in the day than the evening, based on value for food. Make the most of your time abroad and visit the local restaurants or bars. There's also a traditional market too during the early morning/afternoon. There's a private bar which looks cool but you have to be a member which is a shame. Also the shop inside is very good! Didn't see much of what they offer elsewhere. Four stars as I think it's good for a short visit.

Super nice! However expect tourist prices.

Super nice! However expect tourist prices.

Unassuming building from the outside which turns into a vast food hall that is bustling with foods from many different cultures with a huge seating area. Buzzing with life!

So good!

Delicious made to order gourmet trendy dishes. Only downside is the wait to get the food. Each stand gives you a buzzer to return and pick up food. The best cocktails are from Cinco (located in the center) watching the drinks get prepared is a show in itself and the drinks are to die for!
Tip: seats can be hard to come by so it's best to have someone in the party hold them

Just must visit in Lisbon. You will find here variuos types of meals. Meat eaters should be satisfied as much as fish amateurs. Highly recommend to try tuna tartar. Yet I was disappointed with offer of, as have been told, two Michelin stars restaurant. Perhaps I expect too much? Anyway, fresh sea food, fusion proposals, shops and more. No Wonder this place is open until 2:00AM

I would only go there for the atmosphere, to see what the vendors have to offer and maybe get a coffee. It is very crowded during the day (in the summer). The restaurants are extremely expensive and overpriced for what they are selling. It is very hard to find a place to sit and when you finally do its extremely tight. The cleaners do a good job though, the tables are very clean.
