One of the best Food Markets I've ever been. A lot of different types of food, local cuisine and beverages. If you are looking for some food and you have enough of searching for some place - go there - you'll find your sure something for you.

A real highlight from my trip to Portugal. Vibrant place with delicious food. Authentic buzz. Shame the there weren't enough stools for me to sit down and enjoy my food in style and comfort.

A selection if Lisbons finest, all under one roof. Fantastic offering and the prices aren't too bad considering. The vibe is frenetic and it is often difficult to get a table spot, especially on the weekend.

It's great! The place opens at 10am. If you are going for lunch I recommend getting there around 11/11:30am because the closer you get to 12 the more packed it will be. Get there, put some butts in seats and take turns browsing about the place because the place gets rammed with bodies past 12:30pm. There are so many places to try and would recommend getting a few things to share.

This court reminds me a lot of the one in Amsterdam (Foodhallen). But the difference is this one was way better!
So people please go by this place, you wont have regrets (except if you are a picky eater..)
Location, the restaurants are more focused on quality. The filet mignon we ordered was so soft/tender it was possible to cut it with a spoon. Wish we had ordered more but we were actually already full when we stopped by this Valhalla of foodcourts.

This place is a must see (and must taste) in Lisbon! A fully renovated market who managed to modernize itself while keeping the charm of old Lisbon. On one side you ll find a traditional farmers market with veggies, meat, fish, etc. On the other, an amazing food court with several options including: traditional Portuguese food, stands from famous Portuguese chefs, international cuisine such as sushi, burgers or pizzas, Portuguese wine and traditional sweets. Downside: like the rest of Lisbon these days, it s full of tourists.

Ok place to while away an hour whilst eating or drinking. Nothing special really about the place. Some of the food looked appetising but nothing special I don t think. Went there about 1pm nice buzz to the place and plenty of space to sit and eat and people watch.

Very good place to have a quick eat at Lisboa's Cais do sodre
It is a little expensive though, around 10 euros for a chef made sandwich when you could get a fully fledged meal for 6euros in any small pub outside of touristy areas
So do try it out for the experience, but it's not the real authentic deal.

Was ok. Some things better then others. The wine shop is awesome. Lots of tasting size portions of cool vintage stuff. Asian Lab looks like it was going to be good but the pad Thai was really bad over sauced and the cook must have flamed the oil because it just tasted like burnt kerosene. The flames coming off the pan may look cool but when it's oil that's burning it doesn't taste good. sea me was solid and Marlene vieira's pork belly and clams are awesome.

Food here is expensive but 100% worth it. The meat, the seafood, the traditional Portuguese delicacies; all terrific. But best of all is the chocolate vendor. If you haven't tried the crispy, rich toffee-crusted dark chocolate from here, you haven't lived.

Very touristy, completely overpriced for average food. We paid 4 euros for two tiny croquettes (the size of a lindt chocolate ball) when you can get a triple the amount of croquettes that taste much better for the same price at other good restaurants in Lisbon. Go to check it out but rather eat somewhere else.

A crowded food market with several stalls of deliciois foods - sushi, portugese chicken , seafood, and steaks. I would recommend you go to market side to buy some water (2 euro for 1.5litres as oppose to 2 euros for 0.5 litres at the food stalls) (from the entrance to ur right there are small shops of arts crafts and etc and they have a small shop of fresh cheeses). Its crowded and hot but good atmosphere. Fun to try.

Good thing is that the popular market is open by midnight! If you feel hungry, check out the variety of food and drink! However, you should know that not all dishes are cheap. It definitely depends...

Considering how quiet lots of places are, this is not one of them. Things are in the expensive side, and we felt there could be more choice. All in all it's ok, however with so many great food places that is more reasonably priced I am not so keen on supporting this venue.

Suggest to visualise the menu of each food stand. This will make the selection process faster when the place is crowded. Too much text on top of each food stand, and I basically don't know what to choose because everything looks all the same to me.

Overpacked, tourists price, most tables taken by people not eating while those with food cannot seat (really eating occupancy rate way below 50% on that day, on our table of 20, only 3 - three- were eating while all others blocking places for nothing), how do you say stupid in Portuguese ? Definitely not a place for "brains". Avoid my all means.

Very great place for a nice lunch and chill out with friends or family. Also very family friendly as most places in Portugal. Great eating spots and the market offers fresh produce and picture perfect. Gets pretty crowded fast

Spacious place yet very crowded, almost impossible to get a seat. You can find lots of variety of food n drink but the price is obviously much higher than other local restaurants. If you happen to visit lisbon on a shxtty rainy day or you simply have too much time then just go for it; if not you don t really miss anything.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit how many times I went to the Time Out Market when I was in Lisbon for a month. So I won't. But needless to say it was a lot and I never ran out of new things to try. Having so much food from many well-known Lisbon chefs in one place made me feel like a kid in a candy store. It can be pretty tough to find a seat during peak times (read "lunch and dinner")! Keep wandering and you'll find one eventually. Don't be shy about sitting next to or across from a stranger.

A renovated venue, it is filled with express versions of the city's popular restaurants.

If this is your first time in Lisbon, try the place out to get a hint of the flair that the city offers.

You can avoid strolling around Portugal trying typical local food specialties. You could spend a whole couple of days here eating Portuguese food specialties and drinking wine and local beer.
Is not that cheap, but if you're familiar with Mercado de San Miguel, you know what I'm talking about.
Open for dinner later than restaurants in chiado or baixa.

Why?

Why?
A tourist trap par excellence...totally overpriced. No flair. Food court style.

First time at the Time Out market in Lisboa, Portugal. In the park across the street there was (small-d) dj happening. Inside, the market was packed. I'm talking full-on foodie forager madness! Nevertheless we decided to go for it. The 4 of us did the big loop in 4 different directions. We checked out all the chefy mini kitchens/menus. Checked out the food on the tables. Checked out the whole hyper global food scene while cruising the jam packed tables for 4 seats.

When it came down to the question of what and where to eat, it was a surprising four-way unanimous decision. We all picked 'Joao Rodrigues', hands down. It was the plated grilled squid that clinched it. Make that 2 orders of squid, 2 tartares, 1 cauliflower and 2 btls of wine. Don't judge us. We're on vacation.

But the real surprise was just how damn good the food was. You know how big market eateries can be. Once you pay upfront you're never sure what you're going to get. Let's face it, things can go real blah, real fast. Not this time. Chef Celestino and the friendly kitchen staff at Joao Rodrigues put out 5 high flying dishes!

The tartare and cauliflower with a garbanzo bean hummus were excellent. But in the end it was the grilled squid that we all flipped-out over! It was perfectly grilled and tender, as was the bokchoy & shitaki mushrooms. But it was the silky smooth butter sauce that made it amazing. Even though we took our time drinking, talking and eating the sauce never broke. Not to get all mushy about it, but we walked out of there fully satisfied...hearts, bellies and, souls. And to top it off when I stopped to thank the chef and crew, they were all super nice! I even got a quick lesson on how to make the perfect beurre blanc sauce from chef Celestino himself. Here's to Chef Celestino and the staff...obrigado chicos!

If you're searching for something to eat and don't know what. You will find something there. The good was great and we really enjoyed the atmosphere there. It could be a bit crowded but it is definitely something you should visit if you are in Lisboa.

Nice concept, a lot of restaurants in one place. However, it was very crowded and full of people. The noice was very loud so not a very cosy place. But the food was good and the number of choices is very nice.

This was an old market, and now half of it is still a market and the other half has lots of small restaurants. People choose what they want to eat and they can sit at one of the tables enjoying their meal. Lots of reasonably priced different styles of Portuguese food and desserts. Well worth a visit.
