A good selection of restaurants offering a variety of food with places to sit. As good or better than other similar places I've been to.

As a foodie this place amazed me, it took me half an hour to pick a place to order, just because if how amazing everything looked, then took another while to select from their menu. A gourmet food hall is the best description if this place with more than just Portuguese food but food from all over the globe
For sure, this is a place to have lunch every day of the year :)
Great place for shopping food or eating something delicious. Local fruits and vegetables, fish or meat available for moderate prices.
One of the most interseting places you can go for food in Lisbon. Timeout has an interesting selection of restaurants from pricey to affordably price, although there are more restaurants on that are pricey and not what I would consider to be budget. I would also say that the restaurants are really geared towards the tourist crowd. Communal seating is what you can expect so be ready to bump elbows with other people that you don't know. With that being said, if you are looking to indulge yourself and don't like walking around for restaurants around the city, this isn't a bad place to go. I will say that it is extremely crowded during peak meal times and finding a seat is incredibly difficult. You have to be quick and keep your eye out for a seat. If you are an individual, you'll have a better chance of finding a spot to sit down to sit than as a group of 2 or more people.
Lots of restaurants with different kind of cuisines. We randomly picked a restaurant and randomly chose a dish, and it was very delicious !
I was one of my favorite places few years ago. Market's opening hour is 1000 but don't expect to have breakfast there. 9 out of 10 places will be closed. They are open but they don't sell food. "Kitchen opens at 1100.. " " The guy who is selling staff is not yet here.." Opt out for smth else. Too many tourists, too much easy money. Fame didn't come easy for this place.
I like time out market a lot. It s a nice spot in Lisbon to eat some delicious of Portuguese food, good drinks and good vibes. Only the prices are a little bit expensive.
Really lovely food market, lots of variation including fish, meat and vegetarian meals. Gets really busy in the evenings though.
Enjoyed seeing and trying the different food vendors at this market; the pasteis de nata at manteigaria is definitely a must! would recommend this market to others visiting this area!
Really hip place with great food selection. A bit more on the expensive side but there are a few places where you can get a good meal for not that much.
Not many vegetarian options but you can get a good plate of curry with veggies and jasmine rice from Asian Lab, really yummy.
Never been to a Time Out Market before. I definitely will in future
Nice but very pricey. Tourist prices. Very crowded.
Kind of busy, but great selection of various restaurants and bars in Lisbon. A great intro to Portuguese food and drink.
You can find a lot of food here but it's very touristy and naturally the prices are more expensive here. Nonetheless, the food is still pretty good.
I'm not a very fan of market halls. There is quite a lot of choice but seats are very difficult. I will not return here.
Great market to find some local food. Beside the water too at a beautiful location. Try the octopus hot dog at one of the vendors!
Great place to eat various types of dishes, drink some beers and have a nice time with family and friends.
Worth to visit food hall. Lot of food and cuisines to choose from. Great atmosphere but can become crowded and rven noisy. Some Prices are a bit higher than in rest of the city.
If only I've found out of that place earlier! It is genially! The cuisine is top, the meals are awesome and the concept is just perfect
Great place, wide variety of foods and drinks. Great bustling atmosphere
Time out market Lisbon has a lot to offer. A traditional market as well as a food dining market. You'll find some good offers, like prawns in garlic oil with rice or chips and a drink, soft drinks, beer or wine for 9.50 euros. It has a wide variety of cusines. It's clean and modern.
One of the beat places in Lisbon for food and traditional Portuguese cooking. Train/subway station across the street. We were in Lisbon for 3 days and we went there twice. Can't wait to go back.
A very nice tourist spot, with a good variety of food places. But the prices are on the high side, targeting tourists, and during meal times it gets pretty hard to find a seat even if you are alone.
That s an awesome place. Plenty of food choices from shellfish to burger everything freshly made. A bit busy during peak time.
And of course one of the best pastel de nata places (take some for home- you can also take them on a plane, your loved ones will be thankful :-))
The best of the best together in one place, I just loved the concept of this market
If you've ever been to Boston, you're likely familiar with Quincy Market - an enclosed market with a bunch of food options and a few shops. Time Out Market is Lisbon's version of the same thing. My wife and I had had our fill of Portuguese cuisine earlier in the week so we decided to try the Asia Lab option, getting spring rolls and chicken pad thai. It was good. Be sure, however, to try any one of the chef-specific options in the Market, serving traditional portuguese fare.
Love this place great food. Vendors for any food you would want.
Must see place in Lisbon. A lot of fine dining restaurants with various cuisine alternatives.
Only in Lisbon for a couple to a few days? Some say it's touristy, but I say it's Theeee Place to Beee. Time Out brings food halls to another level. It's open late (which is convenient), the website says 12, but that's when they lock the doors and kick you out. No. Ha The vendors though start to shut door between 11 and 11:30, so don't miss the cutoff time. It can be overwhelming, but make sure to walk around to all the counters before making a decision. I find it a great preview of what some of Lisbons' best chefs have to offer. Why try and hit ALL the pricey chef ran restaurants, when you can literally enjoy something quicker and easier on the wallet, but not comprising in taste. After your order is taken, you are given a pager to alert you when your food is ready. There was plenty of seating midweek late night, but I have read that's not always the case, so maybe have a SS (seat saver) search out a good spot. The wine is also inexpensive compared to the US, so that's a pleasant plus.
TIP: Google best dishes and maybe there's something you're leaning towards, and you'll at least have an idea of what you'd want so you can be most efficient when you get there. If you're a seafood lover, then you've literally landed on planet Fish. :)
This is tourist market with overpriced and subpar food. A coffee in the timeout market is double the price compare to the real market next door. Croquetes de bacalhau purchased in this market has more cream than fish, if you just walk out of the market to a small restaurant next door, you can find Croquetes filled with FISH NOT CREAM. I don't recommend eating here, just walk around the area and you will find better food.
This is the best place to eat in Lisbon! Extremely busy and hard to get a free table but the food is delicious!
Lot of small restaurants, very good food and drinks
Great selection and fun atmosphere. Imagine a school canteen set up but with very good wine and a choice of freshly cooked international dishes. Plan to take your time and your appetite to make the most of it.
We called in after a train ride out of town earlier in the day. It was late afternoon and despite being happy to try a couple of beers we soon realised it was probably too busy to achieve that without either a queue or being then stood around somewhere drinking them.
It was vibrantly busy, and that's probably a positive for the market but at that moment in time it wasn't what we needed.
So take our 3* with that in mind, for us it was "OK" and not a "like" or "love".
Amazing place to try different kind of Portugese food and wine
Nice to visit in terms of architecture and history ... but (at least for me) no spot for good food. We tried it and it was just a kind of typical tourist mass processing.
Great selection of food including some high end dishes, and lots of pastries. Gets really busy at night and can be difficult to find a seat.
Good variety of food with some simplified Michelin star dishes. Very tasty and great quality
A crowded tourist food hall. You will be lucky to find a table. Not all offer takeaway if you were thinking of it. But if tou do dind a place to sit, then the place offers a great variety of dood from burgers to seafood, asian to portugese. A nice social place.
Good food, friendy people. Highly recommend for lunch
Great market with lots of choices of everything - but expensive! A tiny meet pie costs 1.60 v. .37 from a supermarket bakery. It's more of a local must-have experience... the vibe, the sound and people watching.
Lovely people. You could find fresh veg, meat and seafood. Market was closed at 2pm.
Amazing food choices from local to international. Can be a bit stressful when full though, so if you're not a real people person, save it for the weekdays.
Nice place, very crowded and overpriced. Interesting experience
Well, this place is a must in lisboa, but the hamburger was kind of expensive for what it was. I suggest to try traditional Portuguese food like a grilled octopus and pastel de nata.
So many great places to eat in Lisbon and we ended up at the food court at the mall. All the food we had was soooooo mediocre at best. Overcrowded, hard to find a table and long waits for food.
Lots of food and drink choices under one roof. Great but expensive place.
Awesome area for food lovers! Huge choice of cuisine in a very good atmosphere. I would recommend !
Loved the market. Lots of choice but a bit pricey. Very hard to find a place to sit so take your food to go.
Great spot to people watch and try an assortment of offerings from local vendors. Close to the water and city center for a post-meal stroll.
Nice and neat place full of people, specially ar night
Nice place to go, you cab between too many restaurants and will have to come back for the next one !
You definitly should go there !
Great atmosphere! Plenty choices. Highly recommend for someone who wish to try Portuguese food.
Great market with good food and drinks. A little touristy but who cares the quality is there!
Crowded and overpriced. Not a typical Portuguese experience. Ruined frankly
Very packed. It's almost impossible to find a seat, which is very frustrating. I paid 12 euros for a small cod fish meal. Wine is quite pricey.
Mixed emotions in this one. It's definitely touristy, with a name like TimeOut and sponsors like Samsung, how much more authentic can you get?
Despite the trap, they have multiple shops that serve up tasty food, but you're going to pay for it. It's not horrible, but higher than most locations.
Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz
Great concept with lots of amazing local food and several options for fun drinks.
Can be hard to find seating at the tables on a busier day, but if you hang out there long enough you'll find something.
This is the first location that the travel company Time Out created, and I'm excited many others are on the way!
Perfect place to get a quick snack. Variety of different cousines. Everyone will find something they'll like. Gets pretty crowded at the evening
Lovely food with a great selection. Wonderful place to eat, drink and relax.
A great place to eat a great meal at a very good price, I'm not saying that this is a cheap place, I'm sure you can have lunch for cheaper somewhere else, but this is quality food for a price that would be much higher in any other part of Europe. It's very spacious and there are lots of options for all kinds of taste. Gourmet hamburgers, pasta, seafood, desserts, meat, rice, etc...
Me and my grandma bought two plates of seafood for 20 euros and it was delicious, just sublime for that price. There are lots of tables and you can sit anywhere you choose, all you have to do is order and wait for your "beeper" to light up and go off. There are also many places to buy cocktails in the middle of the warehouse space. It's definitely a great option to have lunch or dinner and shield yourself from the heat and take a break while doing some sightseeing.
A one stop shop for delicious food. They have a great variety! Ground Burger was tasty!!
Ok place. Really for tourists. Food quality not that great. Parking is difficult. Prices are not cheap
Great but bloody busy,. Try and avoid busy times if you can, seems to get quieter in mid afternoon, around 3ish.
Absolutely the best place to eat in Lisboa - huge variety and everything is delicious. Do not miss the croquettes at the back on the right! My first and last stop on Lisbon every time I visit
Food is good but its far too busy. Long qeues and waiting time.
While it does get busy, I had one of the most memorable dishes of my life here. Felicidade s black pork with butternut and asparagus is life changing. And the pasteis de nata are unmatched! Listen out for the bell - when it rings, you know they ve just come out of the oven and are hot.
Tough finding a seat. The prices are high but the food was excellent. We only tried the Tartsre place which was delicious. Steak tartar and an amazing seabass Tartare.
Name it, they got it. Food selection is so awesome.
Fantastic place to eat!! If you are visiting Lisbon, you have to go there!! :)
Fantastic place! Very good food and drinks. Highly recommended.
Super clean. Great variety of food. Lovely music. A must when in Lisbon.
GLUTEN FREE!! Excellent food options for an English speaking Australian with food a food allergy. Some restaurants/stalls within this place actual have GF foods marked on their menus. The market is essentially a huge hall with vendors lining the perimeter with chairs and tables in the middle. Very friendly.
I would personally recommend the CONFRARIA DO SUSHI and the ASIAN LAB. The Super Block Experience and the Taylor s Port Discovery Port tasting are also both fantastic.
Overall I love this place as a backpacker!! 5/5
Can t compare to some other food markets I ve been to around the world like borough market of London or San Miguel Market of Madrid. Rather go to a proper restaurant like Ramiro to have proper sea food.
Modern newly established food court of mostly Portuguese and some Asian fusion food stalls. A little pricey and too slow for being street food.
There is something here for everyone. Great seafood!
You can t get seating. To avoid. Was alone with an espresso walking for 5 minutes to find a spot. Not a single vacant spot to sit, as people save spaces for 7 and 8 people. Ended up drinking my coffee and leaving. If you were expecting to use the wifi to work, its out of order. If you re an instagrammer take the sefie and leave. If you want to enjoy your time in Lisbon, go elsewhere. Its just a tourist trap. You can see free spots in the pic I took, but guess what: they were taken!
